Honestly depends entirely on your playstyle. Conservative solo isn’t nearly as efficient as aggressive solo whereas aggressive squad only works if everyone commits to the attack. But the game in general takes skill anyway

I have a solution….have you heard of raid shadow leg-no but seriously. Get appearance tokens. Use on something that has coins you can turn into koen. Then make a double barrel type 8 shell kit with sh12 and some random armor. Play corners and close range. Thats a sound strategy sometimes

Honestly you can only really make loot if you have a full squad of teammate who know what to do, you either have to have insane game sense and can stay calm the whole entire time if you run solo

Play a few coverts. It you get an armory spawn it's easy to walk out with a reasonable weapon and some t4 armor. If you get lucky some of the bots in the bunker spawn in with a Chapman mil backpack.
