I'm sure their goal was to make an extraction shooter that could be a rival to tarkov, but considering how most people (specifically on mobile) find it too complex because more often than not, they're used to games like codm, or PUBG, and this would be their own way of I guess making it more inclusive (adding search and destroy, tdm, etc.) and to reach out to a bigger audience, cosmetics like these also help, but more so financially
