relocate often, if you see big armor or a face shield go for legs, push when you hear a grenade pin being pulled, pay attention to your compass, wear earbuds with stereo audio, dont be afraid to push, but also learn when to fall back or stay silent. look at people if you see them first and check what gear they have before you shoot. if you get shot at keep moving to cover, not concealment. and for the love of god use guns you are comfortable with with t3 ammo at least, t2 if your really broke

i say only use painkillers if your leg gets broken. no need to prepop and get dehydrated and then get jumped later and have no painkillers to be able to run away

All of these are situational though if u have t4 bullets then shoot face and chest still cause most of the time they wont be out in the open and peeking
