The AKM doesn't normally have bakelite magazines. The one teller of an AK-74 is that bakelite magazine. While yes the AKM does have bakelite magazines made for it because they're cheaper to produce and buy, it's unusual. Judging by the colour of this magazine it's not an old mag so it's probably a new thing.

I'm not a total AK nerd so I don't know the differences between the AK-74 and AKM besides caliber.
