I've been looking for a second job for a couple months, barely scraping by. Today I headed to my work and found out the store beside us just lost a person with no notice.

I walked in, gave them my resume and was prospectively hired on the spot. They needed a criminal record check and for me to do some training online that they expected to take a few days.

I managed to get the check and plow through the training in 4 hours. Walked back in, impressed the hell out of the new boss and I start tomorrow.

Financial crisis averted. Everything lined up in surprising fashion. I am filled with joy.

I can't remember the name, but a user here cracked an egg for their breakfast yesterday and it had 2 yolks. It sparked joy and set the tone for their day.
