#Have the old level layouts/conditions set as a classic mode or "hard" mode or something.

Me and a couple of friends of mine finished the game again after hearing what rework to the levels were done and we found the game to be WAY too easy now compared to before where it felt completely fine. I'm not looking to go to into extreme detail here, I think the best way I can put it was all the level layouts before the BETA changes on level FUN were finished.

Level FUN
-The platforming before the maze no longer has the lights turn off for some reason AND platforming is way too lenient with the current 2 platform then pit pattern (1 & 1 felt fine)
-The maze horn giving the exit location needs to go back to 5 coins (again this is for a classic or "hard" mode)
-3 mazes should be the win condition over 2

Pipe Rooms
-The times over the entrances should all be different, not sure if it was specifically how the level generated but they were all just hit the button, display the same time for each of the rooms then leave which is frankly a bit boring and easy to brute force

Power Station Level
-I much prefer the 3 floor layout and one central station, I found that much more fun (new layout is not bad)

Pool Rooms
-The only thing I noticed was that certain walls were missing and I don't know if this was intention to find the stairway easier or not since theres already windows to see out from
-People already mentioned addition of an entity but there needs to be a way to get it to back off from the players or some kind of hiding spots

Level fun was changed after many people called it too hard. The pipe thing was just insane rng lol. The new Level 3 is good, although i get why u would like the old one better. Poolrooms got a cooler generation just 2 days ago and i rly like it. I don't know if there will be an entity here in the rework but i hope not

level FUN felt fine pre re-work. As for the pipe level, idk what you mean by RNG, I'm referring to the 3-4 switches you hit while the enemy roams around by sound level, I wasn't sure if they made that baby mode now where all the times over the door are the same now or it just happened to be random.

how was it hard? It was just activate the switches, remember the door way letter and number and match the line on the analog clock wheel lol

# honest locust how was it hard? It was just activate the switches, remember the door way letter...

some people struggle to put the same colors together and can't beat lidar level.
some people don't know what an analogue clock is so they struggle in level 2 with the valves.
some people get lost for hours in pools because the objectives aren't clear enough for them.
it's a very fine line for difficulty to be in a sweet spot, where people that can deduct by themselves don't get bored yet the people that need more hand holding get enough clues to be able to progress.
if something feels too easy, maybe you're just good at it 🙂

If you find the game too easy I suggested a new difficulty called Affliction if you want to check it out

I feel like the case with people not understanding the puzzles is that the game is pretty vague when it comes to the tasks

it always reminds me of "the square goes into - the square hole", i didn't have instructions back then either 😄

and then there was that one guy, who didn't knew how analog clock worked Devestation

i mean the analogue clock thingy is just a generational difference. kids nowadays don't even know what mouse and keyboard are because everything they know is touch-screens; the term "ipad kids" is way more literal than you'd think
aside of that, some people want deduction in the game, others find it too hard, i have yet to see a solution both sides can enjoy at the same time, not just optional hardcores shrugs

Level 6 was what I was mainly referencing. I couldn't understand that one until someone explained it to me

All the other ones I pretty much immediately understood

Oh but besides fun
