#Randomized Level Transitions (Except Level 0)

Hey team! πŸ‘‹
First off, I just want to say I really enjoy playing Backrooms: Escape Together β€” the atmosphere and design are awesome!

I had an idea I wanted to share:
What if after Level 0, the rest of the levels were randomized instead of following a set order? This could make each playthrough feel more unpredictable and replayable. Since Level 0 is the iconic starting point, it makes sense to always begin there, but making the next levels random could add to the mystery and tension of not knowing where you’ll end up next β€” just like how the Backrooms are described in most of the lore.

It could be an optional mode too (like "Randomized Run") so players who enjoy the current structure can still keep that experience.

Also, a smaller idea β€” it might improve the experience if skipping was disabled on Level 0 and Level 4.

Level 0 sets the mood and lore tone β€” it feels right to always play through it.

Level 4 is calm and eerie, which gives players a bit of a breather and contrast from the more intense levels. Skipping it can make the pacing feel a bit rushed.

Just a thought to help keep the immersion strong. Thanks again!

Thanks for reading, and keep up the great work! πŸ™

Ah hell nah man

#

Transitions would be cool

#

But disabling speedrun skips?

#

That would ruin it

They want to make a net off levels in the future β†’ #faq but disabling speedrun-skips would be really annoying
