Cannot get past the update notes in the main screen before the game freezes.

When i enter the game and it loads up, title screen comes up with a patch notes for the newest release. but when i try top click next the game will not go into the main title screen where i can choose between multiplayer or single player. this happens every time i try to load into the game

I think this might be some kind of resolution bug are you playing full screen?

I'd try start the game press alt+enter and try clicking next again
