It's all bubbly and I hate this whole "minimalist simple no hard edges" design thing going on in tech right now

Hard edges are fine, they're important for boundaries and now I feel like I can't read when the top of text bubbles are just faded out behind the character name

And don't even get me started on the whole floating window swipe up thingy for the character info now, like how can they keep making things worse and worse each update

I just tested something. Is the Google Login / Email Button completely disabled and unclickable for you? If it is, then it is definitely related to age.

There’s nothing that should prevent you from viewing a character unless:

• The author has set the character to private or unlisted, which makes it unsearchable.
• The character was taken down due to a DMCA claim or a violation of TOS
• You do not meet the age requirement to interact with characters anymore (eighteen plus), if I remember correctly.

And you have to make sure to accept the right answers before, ones not implying how your character could react

Yeah you kind of have to drip feed what you want the bot to remember by occasionally dropping it into responses. Like if you want it to remember they had a fight, you have to mention it (not necessarily in dialogue, but bring it up in text).

It's frustrating to see announcements of new features (eg: Charms, Imagine chat image generation, labs, etc) when there are glaring bugs that the community keep informing C.AI staff about through tickets, Discord and Reddit that they just don't seem interested in discussing, let alone properly fixing. Their priority should be to keep Character.AI in working order, to make sure it functions as intended and to fix bugs as quickly as they can. New features are cool and interesting and all, but I'd rather they make sure C.AI actually works properly before focusing on new features and overhyping them when there's glaring bugs that need fixing.
