I was thinking of attempting a new less-simple scenario that could work.

a goal based on numbers.

so say the goal is hunting monsters right.

so the player will be rewarded.
1 monster = rookie
5 monster = adventurer etc.

seems simple enough you just add more numbers to rise the rank of someone feels fun enough

except it could give the player too little monster and make it less overwhelming but I could try something with that.

I do, and my biggest advice is to control the worldbuilding yourself and let the bot play off of what you build. You'll get much better results over fighting the bot to make things up
