They sent a survey to ppl to give their feedback about what they feel about how the new UI/UX example were, and then they used that feedback to improve their WIP new UI before finally officially releasing it.

Which, honestly, is a much better way to do it.

Slow mode has a function that is beneficial. New chat modes are experimental which is beneficial. Changing the UI slightly is a relatively minor change that may have benefit to the functionality of the app’s system that we may not see on the surface (also people may like the new UI, idk, I don’t have it yet). Just because you may dislike it, doesn’t mean there’s not positive changes to the most recent updates babes!

I think it benefits us to remember that comparatively, c.ai is run by a fairly small team. They can only do things so fast, and are likely trying their best to update things as smoothing as close to everyone’s liking as they can. That’s just the way of things when you have a popular app NOT run by thousands of people.
