I mean, the AI learns and creates their response based on previous responses pattern, and this includes your own responses. That's just how LLM works.
If you always only make a short response, they're bound to follow that pattern and make the same short responses as well.

C.ai currently doesn't have the feature to set a custom token length yet, so until they do, if you want a lengthy response, then all you can do is make the same reasonably lengthy response.
(And even if c.ai has that feature, it still doesn't always guarantee that the bot will always give you a long response if you still answer shortly, as it all depends on how smart the LLM is).

Hey, another tip. For every new chat, in the first maybe 30 messages (including you and the bot), write in two paragraphs. The bot will mirror that and choose only replies that give two paraghraps. Soon, you can slack off by writing one paragraph because the bot have pick it up as a pattern.
