Idk if this is just my phone or the c.ai app on mobile, but like, every time I write more than two lines of text in the app (like, so it jumps down to the next text line while typing, y'know what I mean) it keeps. Freaking. Pulling. The. Keyboard. Down. It's driving me insane at this point, as it messes me up when I'm trying to type and sometimes I accidentally send chats without meaning to, and I'm gonna lose my marbles. I'm already in marble debt, I can't gamble away anymore marbles.

That's a thing that should be in definition, and it's usually the first thing that I make sure to put it. Not too detailed so it doesn't take a massive chunk of the memory, but enough to be well described and contain a proper essence of the character.

do you have a fix for characters NOT ASKING, but DOING the same thing over and over again like a broken record until it becomes super dull?

About that, it’s actually easy to solve. There are a couple of indicators, like if the character frequently uses words such as 'obsessive' or similar terms. Anything that repeatedly shows up in a specific way is a loop right there. You can break it easily by taking the initiative and letting the character interpret the situation you wrote, rather than explaining it to them. This limits their chance to overthink or get stuck in a repetitive cycle.

It’s also pretty predictable. If the character responds with a sense of obsessiveness in their reply, whether it’s clinging to an idea or an action like holding onto something, that’s an example of looping. It’ll just keep going back and forth, stuck in that scenario. That’s why you should sometimes take the initiative and let the character interpret the situation you’re in.

Using things like (OOC: Hey! Stop moving, you are caught!) doesn’t work. While it may affirm your prompt, it doesn’t actually resolve the loop. This isn’t a solution I’d recommend to anyone, as it not only weakens the response but also reduces its quality by adding unnecessary, whimsical side comments.

Example: "Sure, what is it?" Y/N prompts him.

Today makes the third day that my account has been unusable. Every message is either cut off mid sentence, or the response is so dry and short it cannot be RP'd with. Two tickets submitted, and I've yet to get a response from support. PLEASE, DEVS! I PAY FOR THIS APP, AND ID LOVE TO BE ABLE TO USE IT!

If your messages get cut off, you're most likely experiencing the restriction because you're a minor. All the restrictions for minors are detailed in this image, with shorter messages being one of them. If you aren't a minor, it is likely because your bot generated too long of a response and got hit with the character limit. Character limits are normal, and they are not a bug. Its pretty obvious (if ur using this server as a litmus test) that:

1. Most users are -18 hence their inability to pay.
2. They can not engage in nuance. They deem the value of Plus as worthless which is true in the current state of c.ai. But in a hypothetical that the platform is good, is 10 bucks too much? The answer is apparently yes.

Dont want to reiterate myself but I have listed down some perks that Plus could have which should be placed behind a reasonable price. The verdict? Yep, I got burnt like a witch circa 1600s

The remove message feature is a nitpick at best. The rewind option is there, and it is objectively better than the delete messages feature as it can delete from bot responses as well as user responses, which is something the delete couldn't do. Second of all, the 'chatgpt' advice thing isn't even an issue if you exhibit good AI usage practices. Use your own bots if the bot you're using has a bad definition, rp in third person with omniscient narrator, make your own responses rich so the bot copies you, and weeding out any bad bot responses to name a few. If you're going to complain, at least try the existing solutions.

I'm not absolving the devs from all responsibility; far from it, in fact. The communication is non-existent, and they fail to listen to users when considering new features to add most of the time. That being said, they have listened to users in the past, and they're currently rolling out longer personas according to some users, so don't say they don't do anything.

Example messages itself act as previous messages sent in the conversation that can't be seen, so it's a lead that a character can follow when answering a message. 🫡

If you wrote a greeting starting with 'Hello' and added a single word 'strict' in its description, it's bound to be stern and composed as an example. Hence, I said description and definition shapes it.
