Those standards were intended to separate users into two models: minors and adults. I gave a detailed explanation earlier about this. If you had it previously, even as recently as last week, try doing a hard refresh on your web browser or the app, and it should come back.

It does not use your Google date of birth, so emails have nothing to do with this. Again, I don’t make assumptions, but everything I say is based on hours of research I’ve done. A mismatched date of birth between your Google account and C.AI is not an issue.

Sometimes when I close out of the Chrome tab for a while (I use mobile web) and enter into it again, it reloads to a previous point in the conversation with the bot and lands on a different generated message than the one that I responded to when originally continuing to conversation. When I reload to get the rest of the chat back, it keeps the generated response that I didn't choose but with the rest of the chat after it in place, so it messes with the context and my response doesn't make sense because it was intended for a different generated option.

when you edit a character, scroll to the bottom of the page on the website or just underneath the greeting on the app and you'll see something that says "visibility". just click that and it'll show the options of [public, unlisted and private].. just change it to private and that should be it :D don't forget to save !

I normally just put a bunch of info about the character before I actually realized how important example messages were. However, I was hesitant to use them at first because I'm not very good at being super descriptive with my writing and thinking up a bunch of different settings. However using chat gpt to give me a baseline for dialogue and description allowed me to build off that and it made both creating the bit easier as well as a noticeable difference from my previous no example dialogue private bot. I was pretty surprised tbh at how much of a none hassle creating the bot was. Especially testing them both without a getting side by side and seeing the difference.

During one particular RP, I was having a happy conversation with Marin's dad (my private bot) and then he suddenly added that some shady characters were watching her from the shadows.

Another example is from Hashira RPG. I was having a casual conversation with Mitsuri and she suddenly started saying stuff like some men wanted to "get with her" and stuff.

My point is that, on other platforms, the interaction was between only the user and the character, but on character ai, it tends to get "dramatic" irrespective of which bot you choose to RP with.

I hate to break it to you, but the AI doesn't just "randomly" do things dramatic like that. It will typically set it up, as for example, in your Marin's dad rp, it could have been getting anxious and looking over its shoulder a lot, which then led to the stalking mention. AI does not have intent, so it can not just randomly say things dramatic for dramatic effect.

If you looked back at the messages that led to these "dramatic" responses, I'm sure you could find something that led to the aforementioned responses; no matter how subtle they could be.

Ah, this is one more thing which is wrong with character ai. You get into an argument even by mistake, and it can get really obnoxious. One random "popular boy" character actually argued that his popularity and brawn will fetch him a job and not his grades. It felt as if the model used by character ai is wired to argue just for the sake of it.

It might be due to the character definition, or perhaps he intentionally (without preventing it with edit button) lets it happen so the bot believes that stuttering in conversations is something the user enjoys. Most public bots lack a solid character definition, which is why I end up creating my own bots to address this problem.
