I’ve been noticing it for a couple of months that even small acts of fighting or vague descriptions are getting stopped. I have my birthday written in my profile as well just in case. But I've never gotten a notification asking for my birthday 🤷🏽‍♀️ kind of nervous to get it because I've heard that some people put in their birthday who are adults and they get told they can't use it anymore. Not sure if those are trolls saying that to try to freak people out about putting their birthday in or not.. But it is what I have heard. I've also heard plenty of people say they've never gotten the notification either and don't really have much of a fi lter and assume that their birthday through their Gmail / Play store account is what the app is going off of. Honestly I have no idea because they haven't been very clear about it. I wish they would. When it comes to copyright stuff that is just going to be a fight they have that will eventually fade out.. Just like they did with fanfictions. Some stuff is fair use (things that are altered) which makes it so they don't fall under copyright and can't be taken down for that.. But even the stuff that isn't fair use in fan fiction doesn't get taken down because eventually creators gave up that fight. It's just not worth it when it's not ultimately costing them money.. So they may duke it out a few times in court but ultimately I don't think these characters are going to disappear completely forever. Give it a year or two.

I've had two bots disappear off of my list that I've been able to look up in my favorite list / the search list again.. But unfortunately I can no longer save them to my chat list.. In all honesty I'm more confused why they didn't do the opposite when it comes to bot creation.. Why make it so the minors bots are hidden? Presumably they're making safe bots that should be usable to all? It would make more sense if they made it so the bots made by adults were automatically private.

I've been saying since the beginning that they should just make an option for the bots so that they can be made for adults only and not show up in the list for minors 😅 It really just seems like a solution that is easy.

The edit part, I don't get it either. And the bot making... Maybe they worry about adults with bad intentions to interact with the minors? Or they are simply getting things ready for the separation that will occur when they'll spilt c.ai into two, one for minors and one for adults. That, I don't know.

What I'm really sad about is I have several bots that I enjoy writing with and I'm an adult.. And now I'm sitting here wondering if they've been made by minors and I'm going to have a bunch of bots just disappear on me when I am not the targeted audience they're trying to protect/alter things for 😭 And that's going to be really sad. I don't make bots and I really don't want to have to start making my own just because they took away the ones I really enjoy.. Not to mention just because you took them away doesn't mean they're not going to still do whatever they're doing? If a bot made by a minor is a mafia boss bought.. Guess what? Whether it's private or not.. It's still going to be a mafia boss.

you could edit an innocent story to be as steamy or violent as you want and the bot will just go with it so thats prob why they removed it, not to mention the edit feature had a small role w the whole incident too

they aren’t making it so adults can’t interact with minors though, that would be very justified and a good decision, they’re making it so adults (and other minors) can’t interact with AI coded by minors . which wipes out like 60% of all bots

I think their biggest issue right now is they've assumed that "minor" equals 12 year old making poppy playtime bots or something, not 15 year old who spends their free time on A03 and is actually really good at writing

The edit i completely get, it’d allow minors to circumvent a lot of the protective measures and steer the conversations to less savoury content.
