What I think might happen from my experience watching companies just like this over the years - they won't listen and end up losing their user base, decide it's no longer reliable to continue, and they will sell the code OR in their downfall, other sites and creators will get their code and use it themselves.

So, eventually there will be better sites and one of them will be free, I'm sure. For now, it's just watching the garbage burn while they refuse to acknowledge the elephants in the room.

I really do think a lot of minors in this community utilize it in a good way. I'm getting my degree is psychology and child development and I had a patient come through my school - we do free therapy as students so we can train and people can get therapy. And they actually used the site. So.. I'd have them talk to the bots like a journal and we would go over things they remembered talking about. It was weird because I use it for.. entirely different purposes but this was just a genuine, wholesome, helpful moment.

And imo, I do think that you should read the lawsuit for yourself, it provides the information you seek and while there is cut information, there is still the factual information.

A lot, and I mean a lot of people have been spreading misinformation about this situation and it’s why I rely on a “we should probably not make that call” perspective. Because, not only has information been officially cut or become confidential, but we also double with the fact that I do have my own experiences and eye witness events to affect my idea of how to treat this situation.

I have been through some things myself, but I came out of it with a more empathetic and nuanced perspective to everything. Whereas you have your own perspective.
