This is one of my cats, Scamper. I’ve had him since I was about 4 or 5. One of my mom’s coworkers was giving both him and his sister, Kloe, away and my mom accepted. When she brought them home they were hesitant to trust us, hiding under a bench the moment we let them out of their carrying case. Over time they grew to not see us as threats and spent just about every day together. For the past year or so he’s chosen his spot on the couch and seldom did anything but nap there. This morning I received a call from my mom informing me that he had passed away this morning. He had his flaws, many of them, but I wouldn’t trade him for the world. ❤️

It appeared after the first time I took her outside, her happiest moment. That day she sat on my lap and opened her mouth to bask. In all these photos, the brightness is from her being super happy. If you ever see a dark colored beardie, they are likely sad. When we first got her, she was dark and almost black colored)
