After those 14 days are up, you are left to ‘read’ your chats, chats are archived for 6 months, they are NEVER deleted.

Once you reach 18, you can verify again and regain access to your chats/messaging rights.

(Of course showing ID is uncomfortable. It SHOULDN'T be so bad since if it was, the company would have a huge problems. But this choice is on everyone)

Hi, I wrote here a few days ago about my experience with the C.AI team and how rude and inconsiderate they were.
Right now, because I feel like I have to keep roleplaying and such, I'm looking for a roleplaying partner. I'm 19 and a half (soon to be 20).
I don't usually roleplay with people and to be honest, I'm less experienced with this type of communication (again, I usually use character.ai). It's just that they changed a lot of things about it and it's hard for me to deal with it right now. If you're interested, here are some things you should know:
I'm autistic. I really like roleplaying in Call of Duty and Marvel. I'm very creative and can come up with plot ideas very quickly. I have a lot of characters that I keep to myself (but if we roleplay, you'll know about them).

Also, English is not my native language, but I'm good enough to speak and write (I sometimes use Google Translate).

I hope to find someone who won't judge me and will have fun with me.
Hopefully I'll find my people!

I’ve had an ongoing verification issue for nearly five weeks. I’ve submitted multiple tickets that either receive automated response, no response or replies thay don’t quite address the issue.

The problem is a biometric mismatch from a previous face verification attempt, which has prevented me from verifying my account. If a moderator could please escalate this, may it be a manual review or full reset of my Persona verification data would be great and helpful.

I’m 18+, so this is incredibly frustrating.

Age verification fails everytime.

I’ve tried to verify my age for days now and It fails. I have submitted a photo of my Id too with no success.

I wrote to support but I always get back an email from a bot that says to view “help articles”, but I never got transferred to a real human.

Any ideas what I can do in this case?

the only way to remove the reading mode is to verify your age as being 18 or over. the reading mode locks minors out of further interaction to keep them safe, in compliance with US and EU safety laws. they can't remove the reading mode, it's legally required if they want to avoid getting sued.

They wouldn't remove the reading mode, as I just said, it's legally required so they don't get sued. And if you don't want to give your ID (which is a good idea, I don't trust Persona) then you'll be locked in reading mode until you turn 18. It does a facial scan to determine if you're 18, if it thinks you're under only then will it ask for ID.

Though the verification system itself is very flawed as many 18+ people have gotten flagged -18 and some aren't even processed or able to verify due to complications. I believe this update requires further inspections due to the mistakes happening to adult users 😭
