Honestly, I've just been copying and pasting messages back and forth between them. I put the messages from the other bot in quotes, and leave my own dialogue out of quotes, to avoid confusion. This method is way better than the group chats, since they both stay in character, when group chats tend to end up ignoring the definitions after a while.

A frustrating problem, but one always exists when you're working with an AI.

Most likely caused by the AI being confused by the contrast between the definition and the intro prompt.

Anyway, what I usually do to combat this is swipe for a bit, and if nothing changes, I reword my prompt, see what could possibly be causing the AI to misunderstand the message.

If that still doesn't work I start narrating the situation, emotion, action, etc. that I want into my prompt, which almost always works. However, if you do this very early into the chats, the AI will still likely be following the definition instead of your prompts.

Always remember to be patient with AI, it's still a machine, not a human that can understand complex emotion.
