Okay, well, couple red flags from a diagnosed system.

First of all, fictives are VERY rare, and usually only occur if a character was a protection from a trauma. Also, this whole 'host' thing is BS. You cannot 'switch' hosts. That's not how DID works. DID is essentially going unconscious for several hours and having your body piloted by someone else, having no idea who fronted, and what damage or good they might have done.

Also, this whole "100 alters" thing is an immediate red flag for faking, as it's very uncommon for most systems to have more than like 10-15 alters

OSDD is much more common for fictives, but still not a regular occurrence

Okay, so to sum it up as simply as I can, OSDD can be similar to DID, but doesn't meet the full criteria for DID.

For example, OSDD-1a is where the alters are less differentiated, or where there might not be full alters at all, just different personalities. This one is very commonly misdiagnosed as Borderline Personality Disorder.
OSDD-1b is where there are distinct alters, but without memory loss, or in some cases without a full loss of control. This one is commonly misdiagnosed as Schizophrenia in my experience.

Because especially when you're a kid you get attention. For children in need of that (for multiple reasons including some who aren't well mentally and don't know how to get help/have a bit of help and support) it's easier to say you have a heavy mental illness so people are curious etc.

Also you can fake without knowing by reading bad sources online or reading the good ones but still convincing yourself you have something (that's why self-diagnosis is easily biased). Warning: not saying those people don't have anything but perhaps not what they think, especially when you can "force yourself" to show some symptoms

Honestly, this greatly depends how old you are. Memory loss in of itself does not mean OSDD. Our brains are designed to forget things that cause us trauma, so many people with childhood trauma can't remember their childhoods. I'm only 25 and barely remember my teen years anymore unless someone actually points out a specific memory, then I can remember it. (Unless it was, in fact, not me)

As for it feeling like you aren't the person answering, I would recommend trying to talk to a psychiatrist or something about it and bringing up your concerns with them, because that can be a sign of many things that aren't OSDD, like borderline personality, depersonalization-derealization, along with a few others, but it could also possibly be something like OSDD-1b, so really the only way to officially say or rule anything out is to talk to someone medically about it! :)

As for knowing your alters, with OSDD I think it just depends on the person. The way you're describing it, it sounds more like 1a than 1b, which means there might not be distinct alters. I fear that since I don't have it, I don't really know how to help with finding out who your alters are

Well like, asides the amnesia and the grey areas of like being aware of what happened or not, i dont always feel like were, us in a sense, also what you said it can also be something else but we have had friends, or a friend we’ve talked to, but like last week we were talking and i pretty much dont remember the whole thing because from my perspective we ended the conversation but i back read a bit and saw they’d called me june, (which as some of my friends know june is apparently very well known amongst the people im close with) less the ‘others’ as some have worded it, but some people have acted very weird or straight up ghosted me (like close friends almost family) whenever we talked about it, we tried bringing it up with a parent but they dismissed it after earlier making comments about us having a split personality amongst other things (or in other words confirmed they thought we had it once) but later denied it and im not too sure what to do, we are starting therapy in hopes we can work towards a diagnosis but it keeps being dismissed as childishness and looking too deep into it or like, imagining things, but we have had periods were we have forgotten complete conversations, people or friends we didn’t indirectly make?, or being called by names we do not go by, i think maybe four of my absolute closest friends know more that we’ve actually disclosed but like, with every dismissal im starting too feel like were just being stupid or actually imagining things, one of the four friends who’s professionally diagnosed (c-did) has helped us with a lot of things such as being better at making notes or cataloging people we want to remember or things about them, as well as they helping during really bad dissociative episodes but, i dont know if thats something thats to be dismissed as imaginary or if its a real concern paired with the actual research done to escuate ourselves and other friends on the topic, either curious or later professionally diagnosed so on

Honestly, not a whole lot to tell with mine. I've had issues with memory loss since I was a kid, but I noticed that there were gaps in memory that I couldn't remember even if someone told me exactly what I did on that day.

I got diagnosed with BPD when I was 16, because the psychiatrists refused to look at it deeper, and kids can't get diagnosed with DID anyway, but I knew something was up. Once I became an adult, I got tossed around a lot to different psychiatrists because, along with DID, I also have schizoaffective disorder, so it was a struggle.

I got diagnosed with DID at 18, then they tried to reverse my DID diagnosis and tell me that it was just schizoaffective disorder the whole time, which I called bs on because schizophrenia symptoms don't usually show up until your early 20s to mid 30s, except in rare cases. Finally, I found a psychiatrist willing to acknowledge that a person can have both DID and schizoaffective disorder, and now I'm here lol

Honestly, that sounds like it's just something to keep working with with a psychiatrist. It doesn't sound like DID, but it could be some form of OSDD. It could also be a lot of other things. I'm not a professional, so I can't diagnose you, all I can tell you is that if you're too insistent on having one disorder, your brain can and will make up symptoms and make getting diagnosed way harder. It's better to keep an open mind, and not self-diagnose yourself with OSDD or DID in advance, which you seem to have already done 😭 you can push for them to find what's actually wrong, but you need to look at it on a symptom basis, not a basis of a named disorder, if you get what I mean
