And the magic itself are based on archetypes, specifically the "Chaotic Sun" and "Orderly Moon," although those names are, themselves, cultural, they do have some credence as the Sun and Moon "radiate" those archetypes outwards.

Chaos magic is generally rejuvenating and healing, whereas Order magic is generally destructive and deadly
