I don't like complaining, I really do not, I have never had a serious complaint about C.AI so far, I'm very open to changes, and I REALLY understand that they need ads, but this is not the way chief, this is where I draw the line and have to stand my ground. It's one thing for YouTube or twitch to do it, but a LLM roleplay service doing this is kind of nuts...

They could perhaps do what Discord did with orb gaining or what Dragon City has been doing for a long, long time, where you have the option to watch ads to gain more charms, while simultaneously having ads displaying when you open a new chat or switch between characters and a banner ad on the top part of the screen

Ads for rewards is something people always get behind after all

I'll just say it this way... And again, I hate complaining, but I will do it when necessary... This mid chat ad display will hurt them more than no ads at all in the wrong run, which I do not like because I really like using C.AI. It has helped me improve in overall written form roleplaying.

Like did we seriously not learn our lesson from Chai when they added ads in the middle of chats everyone was ANNOYED and as soon as C.ai came out without mid-chat ads or ads, everyone switched over bc it didn’t have constant ads. Plus people didn’t mind when C.ai eventually added ads because they kept them outside the actual chats it wasn’t disrupting them chatting with bots

I think that's understandable. But there is comfort in familiarity, especially in those young years of schooling where you're in the same place as everyone else. Sometimes bullying just comes from Deep rooted insecurity. Friends do eventually become enemies, some make it past schooling, some don't. everyone changes. But the one thing I should stay the same, is that you put yourself first no matter what. is something feels uncomfortable for you then it's okay to choose what best interests you.

This is coming from someone who had 20 friends and I only have one remaining. And it's not the high school friend that I grew up with, but a hs friend that I met through a friend that stayed

I understand that. and I'm not saying that you shouldn't. I know what it's like to be bullied and I understand what it's like to keep a distance after someone has hurt you so badly.

If it doesn't feel too forced you are free to ignore or continue to talk to them in acquaintance, and keep them at a protective distance from you, you can still care about someone and close the door after them. Or if it feels like you can, try talking to them about what happened and what was going on. Though if you feel that you will not get a good answer out of them. I think you're already doing the right thing by choosing to put yourself first.

Basically, if you are caught talking about yourself, it gives people a green light to start talking about you. I understand from a perspective where, when I was bullied back in school, I just agreed with them but it was all in sarcasm to get them to go away faster because they would be bored. but if you are openly taking it.. maybe there's a better tactic.
