Dark Souls 2 builds and how unfriendly the game feels to heavy weapon builds.

Well, I only played Dark Souls 1 and Elden Ring, as a mage... But yeah, I don't remember heavy builds working out at some points

In Dark Souls 2 specifically, there's a major problem.
Weapons hitting the wall causes damage reduction, as well weapons have damage "sweet spots" where damage is reduced or increased based on which part of the weapon is hitting an enemy.
As well, if you use too much stamina there's also damage reduction. Damage effectively has RNG because of this because, though the damage is technically consistent, the factors combine in such a way to the point it feels out of control. I feel like sometimes I do 50% of my total damage despite scaling my weapons properly.

Yeah, explaining it like that makes more sense... I guess that's why faster weapon builds arr preferred, tp find those sweet spots quickly and do as much damage in the shortest time while also being able to evade attacks ot perform other actions quickly

The problem is though that I find those weapons clunky at best, and the damage still pales. I like dealing with bosses fast, which is why in Elden Ring, for example, I use a lot of bleed weapons.

Strength weapons in this game are also almost a necessity, since there are massive "ganks" where sometimes upwards of 15-20 enemies are attacking you at once. The sweeping attacks needed to deal with those without funneling are mostly found on strength weapons.

Yeah that's true, although there are other ways to go about it. In Elden Ring, since I Haven't gotten too far, I rely on spirits to deal with hordes of enemies...

However.
It is tied to your INVINCIBILITY FRAMES WHILST ROLLING.
You can start out with as few as 6 i-frames at 30 fps on a roll.

And your i-frames go up the more you level that stat.

Up to around 16 i-frames.

This game isn't bad at all. It's still a masterpiece. The thing is, it's not really Dark Souls. Dark Souls 2 is more like a spiritual successor directly to Fromsoft's old franchise, King's Field, specifically the spinoff series Shadow Tower.

This isn't a coincidence either, since one of the two directors on the game actually worked on Shadow Tower: Abyss.

The kobolds live in the snow.

Although, there's some weird descent stuff happening. Humans are technically Elves, Goblins are technically Kobolds, Orcs are technically Giants, at least genetically. All former races are the descendants of the latter extinct races.
