may i ask what is the use for this
It's a... privacy screen
Pretty straightforward
Privacy Screen - Shiggy
@import url("https://minidiscordthemes.github.io/Snippets/PrivacyScreen/main.css");
:root {
--privacy-bg-image: url("https://media.discordapp.net/stickers/1039992459209490513.png?size=320");
--privacy-bg-color: var(--background-primary);
}
.layers_a01fb1::after {
background-blend-mode: normal;
}
Privacy Screen - Viggy
@import url("https://minidiscordthemes.github.io/Snippets/PrivacyScreen/main.css");
:root {
--privacy-bg-image: url("https://media.discordapp.net/stickers/1217112512374505613.png?size=320");
--privacy-bg-color: var(--background-primary);
}
.layers_a01fb1::after {
background-blend-mode: normal;
}
The gifs get dark, hold on
Why is this here?
Fixed.
@tiny dust thanks
privacy from what?
like when streaming/recording your discord?
its not active while tabbed on discord
yes ik
Assume you have more than one monitor and use Discord on one of them. This css snippet makes it so when you open another program and Discord isn't on focus, you get a screen with the Discord logo to prevent anyone IRL or stream to peep into your messages
Not that deep, the code itself is pretty self explanatory
I understand what it does, i just don't really understand the purpose
Are you serious right now?
yes?
its in the name
I don't really understand how this increases privacy
I think it's cool, idk why you're arguing about it
?
If you had just sent this msg the conversation wouldve been over with me replying something like:
"Oh, ig that makes sense. seems a bit annoying to me though (also I don't have multiple monitors)"
My intention was not to create spam in this channel
I posted the explanation and you kept talking about not understanding the purpose. The code and the name explains the whole snippet by themselves.
Either you have zero reasoning ability or you're just trolling.
Ending the chat here.
function is very different than purpose
Why I made it: someone asked for this
Why I might use it: less distraction from constantly updating discord chat on 2nd monitor
ty
I'm the one who asked for this, and ill tell you why. I used to have a blur version but this is better in a few ways. I use it because it helps me focus on my 1st monitor because discord is almost always on my second
and yes it is also good for a privacy screen
thank you salternator, btw, I forgot to say that
