just curious- this snippet is definitely better than the default cover mode- but.... images still don't seem to be acting as contain should make them?

the sides of the images are cut off- which shouldn't happen with object-fit: contain; afaik- any idea why?

Discord cut images when they’re big. You don’t get the full image in the small preview till you open it in fullscreen. Sadly it’s not possible for all images with CSS alone
