+1 on the reinstatement of ctrl+enter to send, though I understand if it's too much of a hassle to reimplement. For context, my main issue that was solved with this plugin was me unintentionally sending discord messages when entering info in other applications. The peace of mind of knowing that the plugin would prevent me from accidentally sharing private information upon hitting enter was huge.

So I have this issue when using vencord that, whenever I launch a game (any game, be it by steam, a launcher, etc), discord as a whole becomes unusable until I force quit it and then relaunch. And by unusable I mean that I physically cannot click on anything within discord and, if I have another window open on the same monitor (say, a browser window), discord will automatically be hidden behind that window. I've discussed it with my friends and another friend that uses vencord also has this issue, but all people I've talked to that use discord regularly do not. Vencord is fully updated and I used the repair tool within the installer but it still happens every time.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Discord has been extremely laggy lately, i did try without Vencord, and that seemed a bit more stable is their a known fix to this if so what if not what do you need from me to resolve

  • Laggy client // Crashing client

where is the documentation for creating a custom vencord plugin? a private one, not public. i read the docs on creating plugins, but that only says how to setup the boilerplate. there is nothing on any APIs. i scoured google, reddit, and i am now in this discord. does it exist anywhere or will I have to look at existing plugins/read the vencord source code?
