Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

If you ran the command it tells you and it still doesn't work, try running the Vencord Installer as administrator.

To do so, open a terminal and type sudo /path/to/VencordInstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller, changing /path/to with the path where you saved the installer to.

hello, my alt account using Vencord has been deactivated. I'm still investigating what happened but since i behave well all along that might be Vencord detected. Everywhere people tell me (it's even written on the Vencord website) that there are no known cases of discord deactivating an account for using Vencord, so either they changed something and are noow going to detect vencords, or the problem comes from somewhere else.
I just wanted to let y'all know in case it is the beginning of a ban wave for vencord users due to a recent update or something, I don't know how this all works below in detail

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
