hello! I do have problems selecting a theme. i'm on arch linux and the popup of the quickcss button doesn't work, although the warning popup does work plus all of my other popups work perfectly fine and specifying the download link also doesn't work as I get an error saying that it can't be fetched, no matter which theme I try.
does someone have an idea what's going on here?

I found the issue, the themes are a bit buggy when using this particular package (webcord-vencord-git) but I found a way to do through comments in the AUR. Though, thank you anyways for your help, it was very much appreciated ❤️

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Why does my Discord always crash when opening DevTools?

Discord on Windows uses 32bit electron which has a hard memory limit of 2gb. Discord's memory management isn't great so it will already get up to like 1.5gb ram usage if you are in a lot of servers and have it open for a while

DevTools use a lot of memory so once you open them, they immediately push you over 2gb usage. Thus Discord runs out of memory and crashes

Solution: use Discord Browser / Vencord Desktop

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

I think I found a bug with vesktop; do I make an issue in the vesktop github for this:
if you have cloud syncing enabled on a discord client with vencord, installing vesktop will pull the settings
however, this means that cloud integrations appear to be enabled. Yet, attempting to sync from cloud will give an API 401; this is because the cloud integration never got the chance to sign in. Disabling and reenabling cloud integration will give the token prompt, and everything will work.
Should probably be fixed by either prompting for sign in as you start or forcibly having cloud integrations off regardless of other settings

I am a Linux user (Debian 10). I am trying to install Vencord using the installer from the official website. There is an error in the terminal, regarding the package "glibc 2_29". The problem is that this package is not available in Debian 10. There is no way to install it unless I upgrade to Debian 11.

The most likely cause is that your install is outdated. Check if there's any updates. You can either do so using our inbuilt updater, or if you cannot get there due to crashes or similar, use the "Update Vencord" in the Installer.

If you're all up to date, try reinstalling with the installer anyway!
