You remember the old pitlab OSD's? Nothing comes close in terms of the cool things that OSD could do:

This, but for digital systems.
This paves the way for many new ways to use the OSD.

Perhaps the request is best rephrased as, extend the MSP-OSD protocol to also include vector drawing capabilities.
OSD: support vector drawing - extend MSP-OSD?
Not necessary. Remember how drew osd DJI Glasses V1/V2 without WTF? VTX requested the osd element's location (once) and MSP values (multiple times). And the glasses formed the OSD based on the values from sensors. If the attitude indicator is disabled in the configurator, but VTX will request the roll and pitch angles (as well as the camera installation angle one-time), the glasses can draw the attitude indicator independently. Of course, the display of elements by glasses in this way must be customizable.
