this is the version 2 of my walksnail vtx protection mount.

i have changed the overall design,
added 0.4mm walls to make them slightly stiffer,
also added 20x20 mounting holes for the walksnail vtx v2

@grizzled portal what's up with the stringing is that your printer or something with the stl file? I noticed from the previous stl there is 20x20 holes along side the 25x25.

Which work just fine, I was in a rush thinking the previous version didn't have them.

Stringing usually has nothing to do with the file. Stringing caused by wet filament and settings

Came out pretty nicely this time. No stringing no underextrusion due to heat blobs. It's a modified version for my wing.

I'm not sure if it fits the V2. Since it's thicker. If it doesn't tell me and I'll make it higher by a view mm. Maybe just test print one side vertically

OK I will print one today after work. Last time I tried the stl file dropped below the slicer bed I tried to manually place it on the slicer bed but when it printed it only printed the sides and not the complete design.

That's because a 3mf file which not automatically places on the bed you have to move it where you want it ^^

@merry roost I just see you have 25.5x25.5 screws underneath the TPU too. Is this standard? Because for v1 it is meant to get locket by it. also how does it fit hte other way around?

It still feels like it needs to be a MM or so taller

I wasn't planning on using it for the V2 as the frame I'm using it in has a 20x20 vtx mount

It does give a nice protective case though

I can take some measurements exactly of the height difference. Just gotta run out to the shop and grab some calipers

I can not really follow your question but what i can say my design is not for the vtx V2 since it has different dimensions and i don't have one to design anything for it.

Sure that would be possible but still i do not know if it fits for V2 vtx

normally yes, because that's what I currently have but my TPU support for the vtx that I had with the frame is not great I find.

Afterwards, I will make some modification on your TPU support once the holes are done. I will send you a picture to show you what I added. I added spacers on the tpu in 25.5x25.5 to hold the coaxial cable plate

Hard to realize with a .4 nozzle on those tiny connectors

yes, its very small. last time i had a crash and all connectors had mud inside. it was a bit picky to clean them up.
