@gaunt igloo How are the lights etc created? Is it just as a prop with lights, or as a vehicle? Other ones i've used create a vehicle for the lights to work

you probably using statebags for syncing this, do you set them client or server side?

For applying the presets, they're set on the server, for changing light/siren modes on the client

I will be adding an option to make it all server based though, as some users asked for it

I saw in the video it generates the vehicle as a separate vehicle, is this stored in a db or do you need to manually move over the created vehicle?

I only ask because if it relies on db queries would it cause a drag on db performance?

I did read they can be quickly applied with a group but in most cases i like my officers to just be able to spawn a ready to go pd car, does this allow that? As in can i export the vehicle data then make it spawnable via spawncode instead?

It fetches all the saved presets upon startup, so no overhead after the server starts

Its not really a separate vehicle, it just attaches props to the vehicle and enabled a custom sound controller

We have a bunch of exports which allows you apply a preset right after you spawn a vehicle, if your PD cars have persistent license plates it will also save on those

The cars dont have persistent plates afaia but i should probably do that

Yes, the whole permissions system is open source, so you can make it use ACE perms (which is already does for admins)

Sadly not possible as far as I know, but I will be experimenting with it more

Are you able to modify the vehicle class to VC_EMERGENCY? <vehicleClass>VC_EMERGENCY</vehicleClass> upon configuration? this would make it work, esp you want the lights to work with ELS

That isn't possible, the script does not create a new vehicle

I get that but can it not modify the vehicles configuration locally? Like JG vehicle handling script

You can modify the handling, but not the class

at least not as far as I am aware
