when i do it with the period i get errors in the console saying the module could not be found, with the slash it loads. it can be done either way but in this case it seems to prefer one way over the other. you can also do
require('resource.config')
or
local config = config
there are a few different ways to import tables from other files
but the issue i am having is not the config loading or getting an error when an item isnt given. the config loads, and i get an error when an item is not given. the problem is that it cant give items to a person with an empty inventory, instead saying they cannot hold the item.

okay well that doesnt change the fact that the config table is being imported properly the way i have it written and that it says the player cannot hold items when the players inventory is empty
im not trying to be rude but... the config line works as is. its something about how i am trying to give the player items that isnt working and i have no idea how to fix that part. its cool i just need an admin or someone to delete this thread and i wont ask for help anymore

its not a particular item that i cant give to the player with my resource, its any item at all, even money which doesnt weigh anything. i get an error saying the player cant hold it, even when the player has an empty inventory. i tried reading the docs for ox inventory but i dropped out of school early and never went to college

For the money read the docs, we dont use items here but i saw others suggested that. For the other items please check their weight.

yeah i couldnt give myself a 5 gram (or whatever the unit of measurement is) sandwich with an empty inventory and the default max carry weight set. its not about the player actually not being able to carry the item i think its about me not being able to understand how to query the players inventory or target it or whatever language i am meant to be using idk but it just doesnt anything. i cant even figure out how to read the docs about the money thing let alone implement the proper way to do it. like i said i gave up before you got here. its not about anybody bullying me in this post i get that people were trying to help me but i am just not smart enough to understand the help. i want to learn and i am trying but honestly the way most of these docs are written you have to already understand how to code before the docs can help you figure out how the scripts want the code to look
