#Pushback differences

You can already freely customize/define your pushback paths by adding between points with F5 (or F6, don't remember anymore) and moving the p/b end positions
Like I did here for the "heavy" parking positions at HTZA
I think the request here is for the final position to have some variability so it’s not always exactly on the position. Not sure how practical that is because you can’t test all plane types for pushbacks so variability risks clipping even more than the current system.
what do you mean? you can move and rotate the end position freely into any position and by adding in-between points you can create almost all possible paths. I only have it on the line because I wanted to have it there
It means that he wants the already configured pushback to have some variance. So for example one time when pushing back the aircraft would be slightly to the left of the configured endpoint, another time it'd be slightly to the right etc
Oh..already preconfigured..ok
Lazy ppl 😉
But that's the point of customization, so ppl can customize the paths to their needs and create the respective profiles, no?
No... This is nothing about customizing profiles.
Let's say I make a profile. When I pushback with an aircraft using the profile it will always end up in the exact spot that's been configured. The request is for the plane to end up within a few cm radius of that configured spot to mimick than irl, pushbacks aren't always perfect
This is what I meant thanks for clarification!
ah ok. Now I finally understood the request 🙂 Personally, I prefer "perfect" pushbacks as I define them and rather instruct the ground personnel to do a better job (joking) 😉
I have never seen pusback IRL thats always on the line
I'd prefer some minimal variation, but for me it'd be also fine if profile creators would just create the pushbacks in a less exact manner. A bit more sloppy job on the final position adds to immersion 🙂
GSX could randomize the final positon maybe in the range of 20cm or so at most, otherwise it could break pushbacks if they have waypoints very close to the final position.
There...your sloppy imperfect pushback 😉 I just sent the ground staff to training 🙂
Let's stay on topic, this is not about quick edit pushbacks.
@elfin girder you wanted a "more sloppy job on the final position", I gave you a sloppy job on the final position with a very quick edit of the p/b profile 🙂
Although I understand the "immersion" aspect, I really wouldn't like to see gsx randomizing sloppy final positions as pre-defined feature. I want to see my aircraft on the line. This "sloppy position" can be easily created by editing the gsx profiles. Or, if as pre-defined feature, please optional.
Well you don't have to vote for it, but this thread is about a feature request. If it's not for you, then just skip it. That's how these threads work.
Pretty sure it would have to be implemented as an option in the GSX settings to not force it upon everyone.
I wouldn’t mind some randomness either, could just be a couple 10cms..probably less than half a meter.
