#Customizing VDGS-text

Please clarify which info you are referring to, because when no Simbrief loaded, the VGDS already shows the airport ICAO, the Gate and Number.
Still not clear, we already have all of these from SImbrief, and Chock On is there regardless.
I would like to customize it. That much info is VERY rare to be seen in VDGS.
It's a feature that does exists in real life for those specific models that we added to it, that is the T1S-24 or the T1-42.
it exists perhaps technically but is not used. I do fly for a living and have only seen those in few airports.
So, you are suggesting the ability for the airport profile to have the VGDS not using all its features ?
my home airfield has T1S-24 on most gates. And it displays flight IATA number, gate number, TOBT, TSAT and current time.
yep exactly. You could take the TOBT time from Simbrief easily.
Just the option to customize what info is displayed on vdgs.
Why you say it "could take the TOBT time from Simbrief easily" ? It's already doing that! it's just called "OUT". TSAT is called "OFF"
tsat is not the same thing as off.
and by that I mean if you could again customize it to show TOBT instead of OUT
When you say "tsat is not the same thing as off", does it mean you are sure Simbrief has a better match for it ?
TSAT is target start-up time. In CDM-airports it's a function of TOBT+x minutes to adjust departure traffic. Nothing to do with take-off time in itself.
And can we get that from Simbrief ?
since that can't be simulated really in the game, I guess TOBT could just be the STD time you set in simbrief
I never said TSAT could be possible to simulate, I was talking about customizing the info so that OUT -> TOBT and disable OFF.
The largest screen we have, T1S-42, is 7x6 so, in order to fit all the info in one page, TOBT is called OUT to have enough space to show the time.
it is rolling text in the real unit on the older model. The newer is TOBT in one row, and the actual time in the second below it
I need to see if we can have a rolling text when pages are switching anyway every couple of seconds, so it might be very difficult to read, also considering how bad scrolling text looks like with temporal-based AA, like TAA or DLSS
yeah that is true. Maybe rolling text is not that important if you could use multiple rows to display the info what you want
