@dusty kelp The chassis is plastic it seems. You might feel heat on the keyboard during heavy works
And it might flex
Which might lead to hardware failure even if mishandled lightly. It got a bad external quality
Battery is weak. You wont get more than 3 hrs in performance mode
It is meant to be desk-bound
Color spac eis another issue. For this laptop its nearly 60% which makes it not idle for designing and color related stuff, especially if color accuracy involves in 3d design stuff
Laptop recommendation
So, it doesn't seem a good fit for your needs
You can make a comparison with Asus TUF f16 using Chat GPT for a clearer understanding
@dusty kelpWhy not amd?
When I did comparison, all amd based laptops had low-tier batteries.
Did you check https://frame.work ?
Yeah. But I will stick with asus or others.
Not good yet. They need to improve

Huh, how so?
Especially the component choices are very basic
When it comes to repairability they are better than nearly everyone
I mean sure but you can literally replace everything yourself and buy parts for it all
Don't use it like a Barbarian ðŸ˜
You will get better spec, better build quality, and a lot more for that price.
And does it contain a gpu?
For a casual user, it would be amazing. Not idle for a performance oriented needs like 3d stuff
It does
ANd the display is poor
To be honest if I was to go by requirements georg gave
Then mac will meet them better than any other 😄
Yeah, and it's 2k 🤺
No Linux tho
You can buy on edu website
With discount
- it can do all that linux can anyway tbh
But framework si still basic. Got to improve to be a value for money choice
And macs have amazing battery and screens if that's what you like
Yeah
On my mb pro it could easy last 12h+ while working on battery
Which is crazy impressive to be honest.
@dusty kelpCheck lenovo legion 5i too
Its pretty new with rtx 5060
And 14 gen intel
I think theres newer version it
At least on the official website
