Sounds like there were other reviews from other users about same business that were removed? Were these all new-ish Google accounts?

i know of one that got a VERY similar response (no actually helpful one); it was from a close friend on their long-term personal account

Yeah the responses will often be a boilerplate template that the front line support team has for the most common types of things.

Probably most useful imo to get more info about the initial reviews and removal (because I definitely can't help explain the appeal support lol)

It sounds like this might not have been an automatic removal. Did you create a new Google account specifically for the review?
