With the recent shift toward more ‘managed’ inference paths, the removal of native, in-suite fine-tuning feels like a regression in developer utility. Are there plans to bring robust, native fine-tuning back into AI Studio, or is the architectural roadmap moving toward an API-consumption-only model? Many of us need that rapid-adaptation loop to handle specialized domain logic locally—if we lose that, we lose the ability to truly innovate on top of your architecture.

Question 2: With the leap in reasoning capabilities demonstrated in Gemini 3, what is the roadmap for the next generation of the Gemma open-weights family? Are we going to see distilled variants based on these new reasoning-level architectures soon, or is the open-source focus going to remain on the current model class for the foreseeable future? You might know this but nano banana is very good at taking swatches and putting it on you. I do that with leggings sometimes to decide about wear or to sell them- swap them in and out with the same model. you can specify the model in your size & height everything, Then say put this other pair on that same model.. it's pretty good at that but you may already know this.

i think if i were to propose this to retailers, like to catalogue and digitize their inventory, i would want to fine tune it a little bit myself to make sure it gets things exactly right. but for personal wardrobes, it works perfectly.

Hey everyone! 👋 Sorry for the delay in posting this, I promised I'd do a recap of a GDG event earlier this week but things have been super busy with work and life stuff lately!
But I finally wanted to share a quick recap from the awesome GDG event hosted by Guillaume Vernade about automating asset generation.

If you missed it, we basically learned how to use Gemini to completely illustrate a book (or audiobook) from scratch. Even if you have zero prior experience with AI or coding, the workflow is actually super logical and fun to play with!

Here is the step-by-step breakdown of how it works:

1️⃣ Feed it a Story
First, we used the Gemini API to upload an entire public domain book (like The Wind in the Willows) or even an MP3 audiobook. Gemini can handle massive amounts of text and audio at once, so it "reads" the whole thing.

2️⃣ Set up the "Art Director"
Instead of generating images right away, we used the standard Gemini text model in "Chat Mode." We asked it to analyze the story and come up with a consistent, cohesive art style for the whole project (like "futuristic neon" or "classic watercolor").

3️⃣ Character Design
Next, we asked the text model to identify the main characters and write out highly detailed physical descriptions of them based on the book's text. We also forced the AI to output these descriptions in a clean, organized format.

4️⃣ Generate the Art
We then took those detailed descriptions and fed them into Google's Gemini 2.5 Image model (nicknamed "Nano Banana" 🍌). Because the descriptions were so detailed, the model generated beautiful, consistent character portraits.

5️⃣ Illustrate the Chapters
Finally, we looped through the book chapter by chapter. We had the text model describe a key scene from each chapter, making sure to reference the character designs from step 3. The Image model then generated custom illustrations for every single chapter!

TL;DR: It was a really cool showcase of chaining AI tools together, using a text/audio model to "think" and act as an art director, and an image model to actually "draw" the final assets.

Why did you go with 153 sub-agents (i.e., I see you have a PasswordPolicy LLMAgent) rather than 8-10 agents given the relevant tools? Feels heavyweight to ask Gemini to interpret the skill for its SQL command to do what used to be a direct SQL command, isn't it?

Skills is optional, so that if any one wants to add custom business rules for each object type. Through .env it could be turned off , in which case LLM uses its knowledge to generate the queries. For the count of agents, i first divided it into broad pillar agents , then within each one of them specialized agent for each object type. This was again intentional as may objects have multiple variants , so i thought of having specialized agents for each object type. The most number of agents are inside the inspector pillar though, which i thought was very much needed as manager agent depends on the accurate infrastructure knowledge to plan things.

If you have any suggestions i would love to try it out and see if it improves latency

Currently, there is no GDG or active community organizing this type of event in our state (Tlaxcala), so we are looking to drive this initiative ourselves.

Hello everyone! My multi agent system running on Cloud Run is connecting through websockets, but right now my worker Agents are stalling on tasks given by the Orchestrator, unable to give a response and are disconnecting and reconnecting then stopping with no responses. Everything was working when tested locally on VScode but isn't now when deployed on Cloud Run, any ideas on what the issue could be here?

sounds like cloudrun container lifecycle issue, it might be caused by serverless networking limits, maybe try enabling "CPU always allocated" and see if it works?

That’s a solid feature handling both references and citations properly is where most tools fall apart. Are you integrating with academic sources (like Scholar) or keeping it more general?

My issues is deployment. I must fund my Google cloud billing account with $10 before deployment and also launching it on playstore
But before then I need to fix somethings in the app

Just checked it out, this is actually really impressive. The idea of generating full chapters instead of just snippets is a big step up from most tools. I also like that you focused on structure + citations that’s where most people struggle. One thing that could make it even stronger is adding some kind of source validation or credibility scoring, especially for masters/PhD-level work. Overall though, this feels like something people would genuinely use, not just build.

We completed the most amazing BuildWithAI 2026 ever 💙

Titled:
Antigravity × Flutter 🔥💙

We started on April 23rd and 24th with two workshops presented by the amazing Mohamed Abo El Maaty about antigravity and how to use it in app design + an introduction to #flutter​ in general 💙

And on April 25th, we started a #hackathon​ with 15 participants who created a children's story app idea ✨️ in just 6 hours! ...

The results were amazing, thanks God! ❤️ Our judging panel included:

like let’s say i already know exactly what product i want to build

how do you properly “translate” that vision into something an agent like Antigravity 2.0 can execute cleanly end to end without the whole thing slowly turning into chaos halfway through

1. Write the spec as detailed as possible
2. "roast me"
3. generate scenario test
4. generate the code, compile and pass tests generated in 3.
5. generate unit tests
6. human review and prompt refactors

and for fully vibe coded product, there's no such a thing IMHO

Yes, you can if you're a GDG on Campus Organizer. I have organized two Build with AI events at my campus, and they were tremendously impactful for students. The students were able to build real projects, one of which a lecturer is considering adopting for taking student attendance.
