If you want to play ranked with your friend and you’re gold and your friend isn’t even silver that friend shouldn’t be able to play with you. I solo Q quite often in ranked and 2 out of the four matches I played yesterday I was with a duo and one of them was bronze and was absolutely terrible. Please make a fix for that

This is actually hilarious to read because most of the random diamonds/rubies I’ll get into lobbies with always talk about how many buffs light has gotten in the past 2 seasons. The H+ Infuser alone is a gargantuan buff to the class.

Since medium isnt being played much beacuse of the new healing meta, i think it would be a great idea to decrease the time it takes to revive for mediums. This strengthens the mediums ability to support the team, just like it should.

I am sorry but your ranked system is so trash, I play the whole day and because I solo queue two rounds I lose 3k points, I play with a team the whole lobby is just smurfs boosting their friends or just griefing, I swear it's just impossible to rank up. I finsh the round with 12 kills and still lose, what am I suppost to do, fk this trash stupid ranked system. the point system is just so bad, it takes 1 billion years to get 1k point and you lose it in 5 mins, how is this a fair ranked system Idk, even if I play well i still lose cause teams team up in ranked, like what the hell are these trash lobbies and trash ranked system.

Jus kinda curious. Is there a technical reason why all the eye choices don't work with the arch rival face (cell shaded)? It'd be rad if they did. It's also weird imo that the glowing blues eyes work...but not the glowing purple ones. And I'd like to add, it would be sick to get a cosmetic added or make it a feature of the arch rival to add a cell shaded filter to your outfit when it's equiped

Nerf the CL40 or remove it from the game entirely please.

@wide void Tell me, what's the counterplay (for example as a L) when you basically get insta killed by it in almost every encounter? Improving aim won't help when the TTK is 0,8 and your own TTK on the medium carrying it is higher with every gun except the double barrel (except if you shoot ONLY headshots, which I'm guessing 99% of players won't be able to do). APS only helps temporarily and if you're up against one CL40, but it seems like they usually come in pairs.

I'd say to swap the damage around between the CL40 and the MGL, at least the MGL is a little more difficult to get a close hit with. The MGL requires more skill to use effectively than the CL40, purely because of the fact that the CL40's nades explode on impact. Also, the damage output even when you miss with it is way too high. You know how much damage you do when you miss with most other weapons? Right, 0. I've played a few rounds with the CL40 and it's significantly easier with that gun as compared to most other "regular" weapons.

Also, "especially above Gold" is a shit argument as very likely a majority of the playerbase is not even "above Gold". Ignoring the existance of a majority of the playerbase is probably not the best idea.

A few things used to be in the game that got removed or changed for the worse on controller.

With dpad gadget equip I can't say thanks or hype whilst dead šŸ™ gotta wait til after revive to say thanks which isnt great when you're getting shot at lol

descend having conflicting binds with the ping button (both LB) has gone on waaaay too long. Let us bind ascend/descend in spectate settings!

new player experience is dogshit, every single irl or friend from other games i've introduced has quit in record time, the matchmaking for "casual" modes is horrendous and drives noobs away after they get dunkied on by players who have grinded the game for hundreds if not thousands of hours and as one of those people i really don't want to contribute to the problem, add SBMM, let me play against good players and let the noobs fuck around with each other till they get gud, and before i get the "just get them to play ranked" response, no. Some casuals do not like playing for rank even if it would be a objectively better experience (low elo games are a good learning ground). If embark wants to see the player count actually grow substantially i would recommend adding SBMM in casual and tightening the seed system in ranked, im 45k why the fuck do i have actual gold or silvers in my lobbies? i don't enjoy stomping them and they definitely do not enjoy the experience either, ill take longer match making in higher elo if it means this is no longer the case

Spear: increase the first swing damage in the combo from 65 to 70 and the last one from 90 to 95 making it 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to 120, it needs to kill a heavy with 3 hits because

Reason #1: you're vulnerable to being shot and killed during the animation

Reason #2: you move slow during the animation

Reason #3: you can't manually cancel it unless you use the communication wheel

and make the lunge speed a little faster because everytime i lunge towards my target, i don't get any closer, i've tried it on the dummies in the practice range and lastly give it a hit sweep range increase

KS-23: either give it a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

Riot shield: increase the movement speed when blocking

R.357: increase the fire rate from 140 to 160 RPM

Dual blades: make the Deflect more consistent so it can block all melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55, increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when blocking and deflecting and make it so the blades deflect pellets from shotguns more consistently and accurately because right now it's bugged, it deflects one pellet and then deflects more pellets at a certain range and the bullets come out of the person's head instead of their gun at point blank range, pls fix the bug

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

Data Reshaper: increase the charges from 2 to 3 and decrease the cooldown from 26s to 20s

Model 1887: remove the eject-and-catch-shell reload animation and make its tactical reload like the KS-23's tactical reload and increase the fire rate to 85 RPM

Make Med the best healer again by making the healing spec a passive that lets you friendly fire health, but damage enemies.
The tradeoff is that you have to more wisely use your weapons clip. Friendly fire heals can be ~-50% of the dmg the weapon does by default.

This gives medium the coveted range heals light has, but doesn't invalidate the other healing gadgets. It also makes med healer valuable again instead of leaving demat as the common sense choice.
Else I feel med will become the flank class and light will become the primary healer

After using the riot shield exclusively for a week I can confidently say that it is a strong weapon, and if your opponent is not using a riot shield, spear, sledgehammer, or an explosive weapon, then the opponent loses no matter what. And, riot shield users can protect themselves while pressuring the opponent by just looking in a certain direction so the riot shield protects the player while they rush the opponent. I feel that this weapon requires some balancing, but I do not have suggestions on how to balance this weapon, because it’s just that tricky to balance.

And by the way, the duel swords for medium are balanced, they require no changes.

just had a match with clan stacks, it felt better than usually because our team had one too
im not sure if it was random or intended, i hope for the latter

it still not without problems, as always running into duo's that never split apart, unlike randoms, or trying to attack a coordinate defence on the platform remains harder, and callouts occasionally get you killed where you wouldve regenerated in safety with any other team
it would be nice if there was some redeeming factor to make the time spend more worth while (since the stacked team also gets an xp boost for it)

25th anniversary essay on ks-23

ks-23 has become ridiculously simple, and because of that, you could say it's too powerful. Now when I shoot at players, I'm just playing aimlabs. That's all. Never before have lights turned into figures as quickly as with today's hitscan ks-23. (In the very first power shift game, my score was 19/2 with almost 10k damage, and I wasn't playing against newbies, as is often the case with balance irony).
I just don't understand why, instead of changing the winch (namely its mechanics) to make its use more skill-dependent and reduce the so-called frustration of casual players at the end of the hook, you cut out entire mechanics of animation cancellation, which were an integral part of the game (an indicator of skill), and change/kill weapons to the point where they no longer give fun from playing with them?
Projectile ks-23 was great from the second or third season onwards. Despite the difficulty in mastering it, it paid off in full with the power hidden within it. I'm sure its pickrate, KD, and win-loss ratio have always been lower than the rest since then, because only a few could play it well.
Let it stay that way. This shotgun shouldn't become another point-and-click toy for meta slaves. All the tier lists are already overflowing with shooting sticks from COD. Enough of this crap.
It's a shame there are no more videos from heavyenjoyer, which I would like to show as the most accurate vibe of The Finals at the moment.

v9s plays like a semi-auto smg while pike plays like a long range bodyshot demon, so lessening the visual recoil, lowering the damage and increasing the headshot multipliers should fulfill the skill expression method these weapons both desire

adding more sights for both guns (pike especially) would help with this as well

Devs please remove the Lock on the Lunge of the sword it makes me need to go in a straight line and im so easy to kill. Im practically begging to be killed by playing the sword, It limits my movements so much all the while I have to try and not get one shotted doing so. If you want to nerf sword nerf it in a good way that doesn't fk with the playstyle of the sword all that much such as reducing how much damage multi-hit does per person. or just remove it genuinely I'd prefer that more like it was in the old days.

Demat needs to be nerfed. It is WAY to versatile both offensively and defensively, just like winch. Its far too easy to chase down fleeing lights, or drop someone down to melee them, and there's NO warning. Make a delay before complete dematerialization, with a visual indicator. Demat probably has a pickrate of 75%+, while your stupid "healing for all" update dropped heal beam usage way down. Mediums are support, and demat is too offensively beneficial to be on a support class.

Change (almost) all the other models/skins for the Model 1887 to match the Dough Wrangler and Impact Warning/Eclipse Shade skins and their animations

These are pretty much the only skins people buy, let alone use for the dang gun and almost all the skins for it could easily be converted without much loss (except the Diskette Bezel and Virtual Extension and probably a couple others I’m forgetting)

Cons: you’d have to remodel/retexture almost every skin for the model, progressions included

Pros: not only will people use the weapon way more, so you can probably get better data for it, they are far more likely to buy other skins for it that aren’t just those two. I think the fact you guys made ANOTHER skin with the same animations shows how popular it is. This weapon really is a case where these two skins are honestly so good it’s like why even bother with the others, which I never see anyone do. Keep the stock animations for a select few skins and convert the rest and it will breathe new life into the weapon

I absolutely love this game, but it really is shadowed by everything. The finals doesn't make much noise, I hope it'll change after/during the major. And the funny thing is, its a GEM. Feels good to play, potential is endless, good variety of weapons/classes/ways to play. Magnificent destruction like no other game. WHAT THA FAK
It's just is horrible for the ranked experience cuz i always get into sweaty ahh games with the same players, or alt accounts that are smurfing. There is no middle ground, its either easy to the extreme against rather new players, or hard af against rubys. Clearly indicates a lack of players.

I hope Embark is cooking something huge for the future, some kind of map creator like Portal, community servers would be huge.
I'm positive it's the game of the decade, in terms of mechanics, potential... (everything really).

A suggestion of mine would be that for the next big season/event, need to do a trailer more clear and slow paced: with lots of intriguing lore elements. The trailers that we have are too nerve-wracking and u can barely understand whats going on, what it is about or what is the point? (for first time viewers or people that forgot about the finals)
I think a change in that direction would be nice. Why not introduce a gamemode more slow paced with no (or limited) gadgets and specializations. (Imo that can be appealing to new players)

Also I kind of want this game to develop like Warframe, as weird as it sound. Atleast, that we get dojo/homebase for the clan and that u can customize the layout, and have: parkour rooms with leaderboards, 1v1 rooms, room that gives us a peak into the meatspace etc...

Recruit & Rise should be reworked - Having you only pick from your friend's list does not help new players. It should instead ask new players and recruiters to opt in and once they do, then new players can be paired with a new recruiter. The current process requires you to already know a new player and if you don't then you won't be able to gain the rewards. I've been trying to find random new players online and have also asked in this server for new players and that just isn't helpful.

Why do I have to try this hard just to kill one person? Where if I choose any other non melee weapon I dont? Note: I use smoke so that they do see me coming from a few meters away and one shot me I do this so I could at least close the distance between me and the enemy (usually wide open area maps). Shouldn't I have more of an advantage in close proximity? Its like the Sword is being tailored to just Exist if you want a hard time cause the movement with it feels super sluggish now more than ever. Remove this Lock it has.

tried the battlefield beta, then opened the finals in comparison. I much prefer the finals when I get a decent server. You guys really need to fix the fundamentals because when its good its pretty much the best and when its bad its bottom of the pack. Battlefield is more consistent and I prefer it to playing on a bad server.

The google data center in Dallas seems to be the worst for me from the mtn west. It doesn't feel laggy per se but my bullets literally go through people and my mouse feels more slippery making it frustrating. I usually get good servers for my first 1 or 2 games on then probably 80-90% are bad for the night.

Ability concept: Rubble Raiser

This is an idea that sort of encompasses a little of everything heavy is designed to do, something between charge and slam, winch claw, and mesh shield.

Upon ability activation, heavy enters a half second ā€œwind-upā€ animation where he gets ready to rush forward. On completion, heavy lunges up to 5 meters in the direction of his crosshair, with the intent of colliding with either structure or a player.

Upon colliding with a breakable structure, heavy will rip a chunk of the wall out, bracing it as a shield. For up to ten seconds, heavy will hold it in front of him as a 500 HP barricade, blocking enemy fire from their knees to their neck. Heavy can move and aim the shield about as if he was holding up a mesh shield during this time, though their movespeed is notably reduced. If the specialization input is pressed at all during this time, heavy will throw the rubble forwards, dealing 100 damage and high structural damage to whatever it hits. The rubble has weight similar to the grav cube, meaning you can’t throw it very far.

Upon hitting an enemy, heavy will lift and immediately throw the enemy the same way they would a rubble chunk, with the same mass. Upon collision with anything, that enemy takes 100 damage. If they hit another enemy player, both take 100 damage. If they hit a breakable surface, they will break through it, taking the damage then. Enemies cannot break through more than one structure per throw. Enemies caught by the throw cannot shoot while heavy is holding them, or until they land.

This specializations short range and requirement to connect will give it decent skill requirement, but high skill expression, and significant versatility in lots of scenarios.

Bro quit to Minecraft during the first round and even though we passed onto round 2 as a 2 men team I couldn't quit without getting a penalty cause he stayed disconnected all the way till the end of round 2, forcing us to be stuck waiting out the timer from not able to win 2v3s.
Just let us quit world tour no matter what after someone else leaves, disconnected or left.

Dagger (please stop nerfing it, it was already the weakest weapon in the game lol)

Equipment wheel on K&M (doesn't actually allow use to select gear)

Sword (Insanely strong thanks to the m1, but the lunge feels terrible now)

Spear (m2 hitreg, as per usual)

Demat (still OP, way too versatile with no drawbacks)

Winch claw (so good you have to balance heavy cqc around it, making them completely dependant on it)

I'm not sure if these are heard, but I think that integration with medal.tv. There are some great creators on there like @gilded juniper, and we have a community that is very active there around the finals! If you look at some other games like Rocket league, they have some really cool tools such as when you take a clip, it can show you other people who were in that game that you can tag from that clip who are also on medal. They also have tools which are camera tools with the replays. Medal will also help with the sharing and posting ease of use of the game. I think it would be great with the E-sports going forward!

There isnt really a safe way to do that as far as I know. But the game I think has built in aim smooth which can mess up peoples raw aim so If you find your aim feeling off its probably that. To disable it go to search bar type in %localappdata% open the folder look for Dicovery as thats the finals folder click Saved -> config -> WindowsClient -> GameUserSettings scroll to the bottom I chose and made space inbetween bConsole120HzModeEnabled=False and [ScalabilityGroups] so then paste in everything after the arrow -> [/script/engine.inputsettings]
bEnableMouseSmoothing=False now go to file top left and click save.

Add kusarigama for light OR MEDIUM class,primary attacks hit like sword but alt attack is u spin the chain and blade 160 degrees in front of u and most damage ONLY where blade hits NOT the WHOLE CHAIN,it’s skill based cause u hold down alt and the more u hold the longer u throw and only the blade part damages when spinning plus u can move your aim while spinning to make blade go in that direction,a mix of projectile and melee.

To simply put it,the melee alt is more like aim and shoot but use aim to move the blade and hit box.

There r two ways of implementing this,either the melee projectile starts from an arc from the left side and goes to the centre line and move as u change your aim or the projectile starts from the crosshairs and moves where u move your aim

U may change between the two using a different stance using the weapon inspection button or add more combos using that button.

Either u can’t use light spec when using alt or give this weapon to medium with a wall run gadget or else it’s the most dull experience chasing player as a medium

I have a suggestion for a world tour week i think could be cool: High Spender (kinda bad name idk)

but basically every 5 minutes or so your team can take a vote to spend a collective amount of money (i think maybe 5000-7500, maybe more maybe less) to get 50, or maybe more, overheal

It’d be risky for people in 2nd place or in matches where everyone has gotten a cashout, but could definitely backfire if one team has like $50,000, so it may be best to raise the prices based on match progression or team cash total? Feel free to give feedback on this idea if anyone wants to, i’d like to see if anyone thinks this is a good idea or needs tweaks.

My god, what a game. It is possibly the only game that I’ll never get tired of. It truly is the world’s greatest game show. The destruction is incredible, the gameplay is balanced for the most part, and the character customisation is on another level. I feel like more ARs or SMGs could be added, but other than that nothing else I can really say about the finals šŸ˜„ I’ve only recently got into ranked mode, so I can’t really say much about that at the moment, but so far it’s pretty fun. hug_friend

would be cool if there was a hint on what cosmetics are compatible with what, so that you dont have to trial and error all of them.

this is especially unintuitive with a lot of the "slim" face and head covering where one works while the other doesn't.

i could also ask to "make all of them compatible" but that might be too much of a rework which could bring too much needless hassle for the devs, especially since some would have more alternative style to prevent clipping and make the combo look more believable.

this also affects some upper body cosmetics, and a few lower body ones, as well as back cosmetics. would be a neat little QoL

i made a mockup design, its not very true to the games artstyle, but hopefully it gets the point across.

EDIT: Also, some of the Facewear cosmetics take up the entire head without allowing for headwear combinations (like the ENGIMO DAEMON). id be in favor of moving them to the Headwear section instead to avoic confusion. many masks in the headwear section could also greatly benefit from the move to facewear to enable more combination with little to no need to change models (like the overburn mask, cns anonymask and all of the balaclavas)

just.. confidently wrong. this has long been a criticism of the game since release, the quality of the server you get affects the way aiming and shooting feels. its possible you won't notice it all that much if you only use automatic weapons in silver lobbies

if the connection puts a 100ms delay on your mouse movement you will move it faster to compensate. if that delay varies from 100ms to 10 to 50 to 250 you will overshoot and undershoot because you are subconsciously compensating for one delay time or another. this will cause an imprecise, slippery feeling. if its consistently slow it will cause the common 'mouse through molasses' feeling. either way if it gets too high your mouse will feel disconnected.

this can be caused by variations in frame time or anything else that results in asynchronous delays. one server location in particular for me causes this issue while frame time and ping stay the same, reconnecting to a game is the only thing that has been shown to improve it.

Just played another match of WT where I loaded in and both of my teammates are missing. The number of times this happens in WT, a team starting the game with one or more teamates completely missing, is astounding. It’s probably one in four games if I had to quantify it. I’m not talkin’ leavers either, because that happens all the time. I’m talking players not being placed on teams in time for the match to start. Teams being down one or more player from the very beginning.

This is a major issue, and I’m in NA too which is a pretty active region and I’ve got reasonably hefty internet so it’s not on my end. Maybe the game needs to wait longer to be sure players can be connected before starting the game? Needs work.

Also, totally agree with @prime fable I would love to see better info on whats compatible with what. The head/face, and back/crossbody categories have gotten muddier and muddier. And why are watches and wrist two separate categories if neither can ever be used together? And on top of all that there was that big split in body and face paints a few months back and yet there are still plenty of face paints permanently glued to body paints (soul harmony ink and its s5 variant, null adornment, kabuki prime, protocol faceplate.) And and the sacred shadow and ivada warden body paints from s5 both lock out all face paints even though they both stop at the neck. Could use some attention for sure.

I noticed you can counter the riot shield by shooting their feet which works quite well but you can’t against the dual blades.. this literally makes no sense. You should make it so they have to crouch to deflect against low shots. If you add this to the dual blades I think it’ll balance it out nicely, it feels really cheesy to play against at the moment.

Spear needs a nerf/change. it should not have a 360 damage with no stop clips through walls n then some along with 360 3rd person free cam so they can easily tell when to keep going or stop. Like yall limited the swords ability to turn/look well lunging but let heavy’s keep 3rd person free cam.

Yeah the sword change is just not fun, locking the movement weapon to 40 degrees effectively kills what it had going for it and no amount of damage changes can compensate for the movement restrictions. Any person using the sword would much rather use it from version 7.5 then 7.6.

Melee in general needs a lot of work but this change shows the lack of care for melee.

Honestly I can start to see why new players are coming and leaving. The third party in this game is atrocious. Multiple times we are fighting two teams for one box only to come out victorious then the last team wipes us. Theres alway a team skating by while three teams fight for one cashout so winning a gun fight means nothing

-the Bow and the Throwing Knives are a little too strong, not helped by the fact they have infinite ammo pools
Please cal them at 5-6 shots. at the moment they have no real ammo economy to worry about

-Sniper rifle can be oppresive as hell, and needs something to nerf if
I feel like giving it an Inverse Damage Falloff of sorts would help in making it not viable at every possible range, having it initially do small amounts of damage still a certain range, maybe 10-20 meters from the light

-The Winch on heavy is a little strong at the moment, and i've seen many many heavies use it as a free stun rather than a tool to pull people closer to them
Im going to be honest, im not sure how to nerf the Winch, maybe a decrease in the Stun time after they grab someone, or make the switch back speed a little longer

-And a slightly more personal request, please buff the Medium's Heal Beam a bit, it works nicely as is, but it would be nice to have it be a viable alternative to the H+ Infuser on Light

I think melee weapons should have small, balanced abilities:

• Spear: three ā€œExtended Lungesā€ (~1.5–2Ɨ reach). Each lunge tweaks the base chain (65/80/90): āˆ’5/āˆ’10/āˆ’5, but specials add +10, so it’s 70/80/95. A Light (150 HP) can be 2-tapped if you land two specials (70+80=150), but they can still dash out. About 6 seconds of cooldown for each one.

• Hammer: on-hit slow āˆ’5% stacking up to āˆ’15%. Starts decaying after 5s and fully clears 5s later. Good for chase/control without perma-stun. Deals about āˆ’5 less damage per hit.

• Dual Blades: reactive shield when you’re not attacking or using normal deflect; absorbs 45 total and reflects 35%. If one shot exceeds the remaining capacity, it’s fully absorbed and the veil breaks. Starts recharging after 7s and refills in 6s. Normal deflect is 50/50 (mitigate/reflect).

• Riot Shield: can stay up while interacting (steal/turn-in), but its melee damage is lower so it’s not an all-in-one.

• Sword: during the second swing you get 40% damage reduction, but that swing hits a bit less. Movement returns to how it felt before, and the primary attack deals slightly less damage.

• Dagger: a second attack with a slightly wider back-arc to secure backstab; 30s cooldown (you can still use the normal second attack while the cooldown is active).

Of course these numbers can change, but that’s the idea.

I have loved this game since beta.... I keep forcing myself to play and play and play.... Yet you keep ruining everything? I feel like Embark is just JOKING with us now, just pulling our leg as some kind of sick joke, Riot nerf, Riot Buff (oh lets make riot 1000$ in a WT mode). Yet all the server issues, basic clipping, lag, badge glitches, disconnects, CHEATING... you do nothing. I have read your long paragraphs saying things are fixed, my 3 bug reports never even looked at. You claim to be involved with the community yet do not respond to anything but reddit and a choice select few of your "creators". You avoid important questions in your Q&A just to tout Ozpuze and drink it excitedly on stream.
We get it, you have sunk so much money into the major that the GAME has been forgotten. I understand this Dreamhack investment.... but is the game anywhere close to Esport ready? The game is not even CASUAL PLAY DAILY ready....
Be season 1 Embark again, find the passion and care about your community. Do SOMETHING to show the player base it is still a loved part of this game.

"Feeling they were hit unexpectedly when a player lunged them." You’re in close range and you’re surprised you got hit by a melee weapon? If you're in a situation where a sword lunge can hit turn arround, then any melee could do that.

Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and turn to hit from the back. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. Then wouldn't people feel "hit unexpectedly" by dagger too? So are you going to add aim lock to dagger? Why, sword can’t turn around like dagger does? Every weapon can naturally turn around and strike an enemy’s back. But sword alone is restricted from doing that?

Aim spinning wildly wasn't actually used, and anyone who actually played sword at a competitive level understood that.
Occasionally turning the aim wildly in certain situations was done to maximize multi-hit. Then just remove multi-hit, and you won’t need to add aim lock—which is the most frustrating patch in THE FINALS. Even if you spin wildly, you’ll only hit one person, so the problem is solved.

Even if it's not 40 degrees, as long as any form of aim lock exists, sword will have the most idiotic handling. Aim lock is the dumbest choice. Of course, you’d need to revert the damage too.

Just 74 M1 and 140 lunge is enough. Like in S1. That version was slightly weak. So in mid S2, you thought sword was weak and buffed multi-hit in a stealth patch. But because you were obsessed with keeping that, you made a stupid decision. You even removed functions that all other weapons can do.

Sword being like it was in Season 3, and if all the other weapons get buffed so much that they become far stronger than sword and sword ends up being the weakest weapon. That would still be much better. Because sword itself hasn’t changed. Having the weapon you’ve been using get nerfed, restricted, and have its identity destroyed is, more than anything else, the very "frustrating" thing ever.

Fix your servers, I just spent a weekend playing the beta for bf6, series renowned for bad hit reg. Felt fantastic. Absolutely no lag nothing.

I play one match of the finals and its micro stutter and no reg galore. Its not my internet, its not my pc its your game.

You want to be some E-sports title? Cool you need decent servers for that.

Ks23 needs a 1.4x headshot multiplier, Is the only way to make the gun viable without being overturned, most of the issues this gun has is the lack of a skill ceiling. This issue is more noticeable after the removal of the animation cancel with the quick melees.

I don’t have an image to post for this, but I’d like to suggest adding piercings as an option for our contestants! I think it would be a great way to make them feel more personal and unique. I myself have snakebites, two nose piercings, and an ear piercing and I know a lot of people love expressing themselves through piercings. It’d be a fun touch for customization and help players create characters that reflect their own style. pepelove

To everybody who’s saying jinko made how to on the riot shield and how to kill it and all that people who have not seen the way to kill a riot shield is 1. Run away. 2. Have a good teammate. 3. Use all your weapons and all your abilities to kill one player. If that’s what it takes to kill one player on a team, the weapon is clearly overpowered and needs a nerf or other weapons and abilities to be able to kill it better. Same thing with a dual sword you can’t shoot their feet cause the block the shot. Can’t shoot their face because They block a shot and you have to run weapons like that Don’t belong in the FPS game.

this game isn't really about just killing everyone you see and never has been- people don't understand this. It's the same shit with certain heavy and melee players complaining that they have a hard time killing lights who stick out of their range when they're balanced around controlling objectives and forcing people to come to them.

A medium running dual blades or riot shield is taking those things explicitly for the ability to tank. In exchange, they're neutering their damage output and ability to do anything about someone existing beyond point blank, which is a big deal when the most appealing part about playing medium is typically their extremely strong weapons.

I've seen some goofy wrong-looking riot shield clips and all and I get that it's more popular lately but "there is a loadout that doesn't respond to me clicking on the bad man" isn't something that warrants removal lol

Can more be done to prevent griefing in ranked? The amount of games we lost this week because we were second place and the first place team griefed us out to push the 4th place team through is ridiculous. They just guard the 4th place team and let them steal for free . We were playing really well and still losing lots of RS to teams that had guys who were like 0/9 because they got a free pass by some ruby team.

Maybe the 1st place team should be switched to spectate mode or something so the can't interfere if certain conditions are met like they have such a big lead over second there's no kill race/wipe risk to make them drop to second.

I used my little coding brain to come up with this logic that would at least attempt to solve the matchmaking rank problem without dragging out queue times for this small player base

When can we expect a riot shield fix ? This is the game i play with my friends, in the past 2 weeks unfortunately tbh, if not for that i would uninstall this straight away do you test athe changes before implementing ? who the hell wants to get mauled to death against a player you cannot hit ? The game has other issues, like the goo gun freezing people on the same place, or the double barrel having too much range, or the netcode, dying behind a wall is kind of constant. But the riot shield is just a plain stupid. I have 1040 hours in this game, and never i faced such a fustrating meta. You don't want a pure FPS, like others in the market ? Fine, neither do I, but you cannot have frustrating weapons. And don't comeback with, oh Jinko made a video and so, cause that video is ridicoulous, a counter is having better moment than the other player ? You cannot shoot the feet of the riot shield the hitbox is all screwed up. If you could shoot the feet or even the little visor, that would make sense. As it is now, i would prefer you just remove it until you find a balance for the weapon.

Playing db for a while i can def say this, it needs a nerf, it should NOT be able to 2 shot heavys, I litteraly started doubling my kills as light when i played db, it out preforms melee at melee range, and it can still do damage outside of that, if anything at least nerf it so it doesnt 2 tap heavys, esspecially with the only way to counter it is use winch, which lights already complain about, also please fix (not nerf) the hitbox for riot sheild, i want to be able to hit them when they are hitting me.

Needed key bind options/qol changes.

  2. Being able to swap Gadgets with clickers throw/activate keys

  3. Add a way to choose to auto attach to ladders or need to hit interact to start climbing(or just replace all ladders with zip lines)

    (This is to help the new players all decent players i know are around 500 & i’m at 750)

Pls remove the 1st spin from the Spear RMB, that way it would still be slow on the uptake without completely locking you in a lengthy animation.

Or better yet, make it a thrown attack that deals ~100 damage and reloads after 1 second, but disables all attack during reload and has heavy projectile drop.

I think heal beam needs some love especially after the H+ Infuser and Heal ball being added.

Maybe it should have a bump in it's healing but make it so that the amount of healing drops off as the resource meter drops to avoid the old 3 mediums constantly beaming / defibbing each other.

Or at least something to give it an edge over the infuser, which I assume it'll get a nerf but I hope it's not too harsh.

The solution (prior to them fixing the hitbox display, NOT nerfing riot as a whole) is to play riot yourself and sort out where it works and where it doesn’t.

Riot can only reliably block one opponent at a time unless they are standing in the same spot on top of one another, and the shield never covers 100% of your own hitbox, you are only 90% covered at best at any given time. In essence the riot shield mitigates damage, rarely does it outright absorb all of it.

There are countless counters to riot shield, most of them revolve around having decent decision making / positioning / movement skills - the short of it is DO NOT GET INTO A 1V1 WITH A RIOT INDOORS.

If you must 1v1, take it in an open space, place a jump pad or zip (really anything you can maneuver on) and create space while taking pot shots, you will whittle them down while taking no damage because they have no gap close (unless of course you do what jinko highlights in his video - which is stand still / walk backwards while shooting and then complain)

For hard counters, see all other melee weapons, both GLs, flamethrowers, mines, jump pad, zip line, goo nade, anti grav cube, gravity well, charge n slam, dash, grapple, Cerberus, double barrel, M26, and basic teamwork

I am sure this has been suggested a few times - maybe on reddit or idk. But could you bring back ranked skins in some form? I mean you brought back battlepasses and whatever so it would be awesome if a system was implemented, where a player can buy any ranked skin from past ranked seasons. My idea would be that you have to grind for a rank and then you get a TOKEN for that specific rank. Then you can only buy ONE ranked skin from that specific rank you just reached.

Example: I just reached gold. I get a gold token. And now I can go to the rank shop and buy ANY past gold skin that was released. This applies to every rank. That way people can still ā€žflexā€œ their ruby or emerald rank since they still had to grind to get that specific token. I hope this idea reaches you embark since I think it would be pretty sick! :> Have a good day

with new update coming soon i am thinking that it is about time for an fcar buff... also an arn nerf... as someone who's used the fcar a lot. i recently decided to give other AR's a chance. I learned it's pattern and can defintely say that this gun is broken out of its mind. any half decent player can shred with this weapon. it actually beats out the pike if you hit all your shots at range. (something the fcar is missing)... dual deagles is also the same story as the arn with the headshot multiplier. buff fcar because it's core identity is a gun that is precise and has slightly longer range than the ak and can be a consistently average gun across the class itself. even excelling in the hands of good players.

i have a cool suggestion for Embark/devs if they are reading these. I have recently been playing the finals with the finals OST in the background because I think it just makes it feel cooler. and it got me thinking. the music in the game is so goddamn good that I wish we heard it more in the actual game. I am NOT suggesting music be added during normal matches of quick cash/competitive/world tour or any of the gamemodes. However, if embark really does decide to add that PvE mode later on down the line, I hope it would allow for a less aggresively readable soundscape to the point where there could potentially be completely original or old reworked dynamic music tracks that dynamically quiet down and amp up as your complete objectives against the AI enemies. I also think it would be a good opportunity to explore the immersive universe that the finals is set in. I've always thought that every single match feels like you're playing a trailer and having a chance to add dynamic music would greatly add to that feeling.

Most of the back lash towards the Ultimate Battle Pass is due to the price tag on it, 30 dollars- but a solution to that could be re-defining how Ultimate Battle Passes are done by Embark as a studio rather than copying the blue print of a cash thirsting studio like activision, consider separating the fast track +20 levels and +25% experience from the Ultimate Battle Pass and reducing it's price tag to 20 dollars and allowing people to buy the fast tracked battle pass option for 10 dollars separate from the ultimate battle pass, throw in 1,000 multi bucks so people have more reason to buy it then possibly add a seasonal supporter cosmetic for purchasing all three; the fast track, seasonal bundle and ultimate battle pass so people can show off their support and love for the game.

Combined Fast Track, Ultimate Battle Pass and Seasonal Bundles would be around 45 dollars worth of multi bucks all together for a price tag of 40 dollars making for an excellent deal and people would feel far less frustrated by the monetization practices that are Ultimate Battle Passes.

Its not really. The entire concept of 'Monty sprinting at you while fully extended' is hysterically stupid. Genuinely, I cannot fathom how riotshield was even ever playtested. There's NO chance they had anyone openly say that that was fun to play against. They didn't playtest it, there's the answer. The concept I mean. And because of the 10 percent dps increase that last patch it has just gotten even more insufferable. This is coming from a Flamethrower and Hammer Goo Gun main btw. Riotshield either needs a pretty big part of the shield cut off at the bottom so it works like small shields in r6 where you need to crouch for full coverage, or rework it so you can only hold the bat or the shield at any one given time (shield would go on back when not in use). Either way I dont expect much. The devs dont seem to give a single shit about the literal hundreds of comments in here saying DB is extremely unfun to fight so I doubt riotshield will ever be fixed on a fundamental level.

Its absolutely a skill issue, also you cant crouch with the shield blocking, since blocking state takes priority over crouching state. Riot isnt an issue since the downsides it has massively outweight the upsides, not to mention the multitudes of counters there are to it. A better way to fix some of the grievances with riot (notably the shield model not lining up with the hitbox) would be to improve servers to make it more accurate without nerfing a low tier weapon. The changes you suggest would just kill the weapon and instantly make it the worst in the game by a long shot.

Also as for db, its a noob stomper, so noobs complain about it. It's fine and balanced rn. Screwing up balance in favor of bad players is a terrible way to balance a game.

Remove Sword Clamp please it's the worst change option for the weapon as it needs that look toward enemies to even be a viable weapon in the game. Don't take away what makes the sword style player by taking away their style and the way play with every change y'all do to the sword, we don't mind adapting since we have to do it just about every patch we just ask to make it fun and bearable. Think of the players not the Haters. If other people are having fun with their weapon don't change it, simple concept but you wont always have 100% liking or disliking a weapon/style in any game .
For example The Riot Shield, people have been complaining recently quite a bit about it and I find it odd, I don't play Riot Shield but I have done so today for a few matches to see why everyone is talking about it and I've gone up against them ALOT and I don't find them to be oppressive or to the point it needs a change. Sledge takes 1 attack for lights, 2 for mediums and 3 for heavies without any Quick melee. Riot takes minimum 2 shots on light, 2 attacks+ 2 QM or 3 attacks on medium , and 3 attacks + 2 QM or 4 attacks on heavy.

Hammer kills with less hits across the board, and does it faster. It's also got almost perfect odds to kill enemy riot users since your ttk is faster and shield basically doesn't block the hammer.

I would say, for future patches for balancing avoid nerfing. Even if something could be nerfed, there are a lot more weapons that need buff. A good ol shoe shine would really help breath life into the game. So many weapons that I want to play just feel like I'm blowing kisses on the enemy team and need to switch to a meta gun.

I am still baffled they un-nerfed the range back to 12 m AND gave the stun duration a huge buff that pretty much means instant death to Light players and about 30% survival for mediums.

It's a Joker ability that has to be nerfed ASAP, there is only couple more months to the tournament and the meta is completely fixed, ALL Heavy will run Winch and ALL Lights will be forced to run E. Dash to counter it. No build variety..

Even if it's not 40 degrees, as long as any form of aim lock exists, sword will have the most idiotic handling. You should just revert the sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. The sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.

Because you thought the sword was weak when there was no multi-hit, you stealth-patched multi-hit in. But because you were obsessed with keeping that, you made a stupid decision. You even removed functions that all others can do.

Every weapon, when in close range, can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and turn to hit from the back. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to dagger and all weapon? Why, sword can’t turn around like all does? Every weapon can naturally turn around and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that?

Even that previous hit sweep nerf made the Sword too weak and you ended up reverting it. Yet now you’re doing something even worse.

Why do you ignore feedback from actual users of the weapon, and only listen to nerf whiners who never even used it?

It seems like you’re trying to get rid of players who use low-population weapons, just to quiet down bothersome users. So you think niche weapons can just be thrown away?

There are many weapons stronger than Sword in melee: Pike, Riot, DB, M11, Shak, SA, and so on.

But Sword got unlucky and got marked as annoying and is now targeted—not because of balance, but just because it ā€œfeels.ā€

Do you have to ruin the sword’s identity that’s been there since its release just to appease the whiners? M1 spam on a 150 HP class is not good. Hello, dear developers. As a player who has been playing the sword for a long time, I can say that the sword is an absolutely useless weapon in its current state. Its main feature was not its damage, but its mobility, which you have destroyed by blocking the camera's rotation angle, making it almost impossible to hit someone with a lunge, as two steps to the side would allow you to dodge the fencer's lunge. Yes, you have increased the damage of your normal attack, but it is useless because your attack speed is low, and when you try to kill an opponent, you usually die because the light class only has 150 health, so you don't have enough time to land more than two hits before you die. How to fix it? 1st method: Increase the camera rotation angle during attacks to 180 degrees. 2nd way: Return the old sword (which deals 140 damage per hit), but remove the sword's ability to hit multiple enemies with a single strike. 3rd way: Fully rework the sword

No you're actually just a dumbass if you want that to be a thing again. I think It's perfectly where it should be in order to be played. It can still be used succesfully and efficiently in order to quickly kill M/L but still be shut down by H to some extent due to the TTK.

Also another dumbass "must" of the weapon of removing the clamp is also making you look senile. Melee weapons can be good but they should have clear and cut gimmicks that act as a down side. And from what I've seen it becomes more of a skill issue if you can't hit it (so you suck ass) instead of guaranteed carried damage (since you need to be carried). AND HOLY SHIT ANOTHER BAD SWORD PLAYER COMPLAINING. Good sword players are actually doing stuff rn.

You know what is less skilled than primary attack spam? (If you're actually good you mix them both in, which you aren't) Having right click spam be the norm again as you dash from side to side with no risk since you want to kill them in under a second. As for some REALLY unskilled stuff tho Embark.. DB is actually such an unskilled fucking weapon because it should not be doing a full 190 if they have some distance on me. I get the gimmick of the weapon is supposed to be 1-2 and reload long but the fact that light just has the ability to dash in pump and then dash out.. It means that if he somehow didn't hit all pellets from being right in your face he would still be able to rat out. Otherwise, DB just kills you without any way to retaliate unless the light player is just that bad. Instead of recommending damage changes because that just doesn't solve the problem.. How about adding a longer reload, wider spread, or slower fire rate. You don't have to do all 3 at once but without adjusting the damage numbers, it makes the gimmick of the weapon a lot more tolerable.

Last thing.. REMOVE KYOTO NO ONE LIKES THAT BUM ASS MAP

Embark are useless. Many of us are quitting the game because of the stupid decisions they make. It's getting worse, and they still haven't removed the Cl-40 from the game. They're truly a group of useless incompetents who don't want to see the game flourish. Many new players stop playing when they find themselves with the Cl-40 and other broken weapons.

As a sword main from S1 on, let me give my personal opinion on the current state of sword. First off, I am SO grateful that this weapon FINALLY does damage again. It is now possible to make it perform quite well if you have and use some skill—yes, even with the rotation clamp.

That said, I think most if not all of the nerfs have been unwarranted. The phantom strikes being removed is fair, but the clamp nerf feels rather forced. It isn’t game-breaking, but it is very punishing to users of a weapon that already punishes you for being anything but nose-to-nose with your target. If anything, I think widening the angle would go a long way toward making sword less punishing to use. However, if it must remain in this state in order to be balanced (or at least to keep the whiners off our backs), so let it be.

One last opinion—and this might be a hot take, but I’m going to say it anyway: do not remove multihit from lunge. Lunge is currently the more skill-based of the two attacks, and in my opinion it has always been this way due to needing to be charged up. If left-click spamming is the only viable option in a crowded melee, sword becomes a mindless spam-fest, and lunge becomes borderline worthless. Whatever else you do to sword, Embark, please leave multihit alone.

TL;DR: thank you Embark for giving back a viable sword; please don’t nerf it any further

So my biggest concern is cheating when playing games. It's not easy to solve it but I think game developers are overlooking the power in the community to help solve this problem. We need to work together to create a better gaming experience for everyone. So my suggestion is that there should be a system where the player reports for cheating is used to take action faster. And to expand on this, in the future if/when replay is added implementing the only good thing from CS the overwatch. So the community now handles the suspensions and not Embark. Kinda offloads all the cheating/banning to the players and allows more resources on improving the anti cheat and also the game.

So what can be done? I was thinking a simple algorithm (NO AI) to calculate the probability of cheating based on the player stats and reports. This is not supposed to be permanent ban but a suspension until it can be handled by Embark. These suspensions should be handled within 6H (preferably within 1H with good tuning). How? Well its pretty simple, build a scoring system that takes in the player stats and gives X points based on the stats and reports. For example, lets say we have a user that has a average kd of 0.5-1.0 and then suddenly it spikes to 2.0 we add a score of +2. No action taken yet, score is too low. But then it spikes to 5.0 we add +10 since this is well above the average kd for everyone expect some 0.1% of the players. Still might not be high enough to warrant a suspension but then lets say there is more player reports on this player the last X games. Then we might add a score of +5 for each report. Then the score threshold is reached and the player is suspended until it can be handled by Embark. But here comes the complexity of the system. All users report players differently, so for each "false report (not really false just sometimes hard to know for less experienced players and missing replay)" that players reports gets a lower score. This can be done by adding a weight to the score based on the player's previos report reputation. Lets say Bob last reports (10 reports) has a 80% accuracy, we can add a weight of 0.8 to Bob's reports on other players. We also have Alice who has a 0% accuracy, we can add a weight of 0.05 to Alice's reports on other players. This way we can balance the system and make sure that the system is fair and balanced. The above is just very simple, what it would take into account is the following: headshots, kills, deaths, assists, level, rank, playtime, hit accuracy, prev suspensions (this gives either a negative or positive score. Based on the amount of new reports on the player. Since already suspended before and handled by Embark we know that this player is most likely just very skilled), games played and lastly the player's reports. Each of these factors will be weighted based on their importance and how much they spike from their normal stats and also the combined stats of all players (in the same rank/level just something to divide them to get a average score for their skill level).

Did implement this kind of system back in the day but not offically in a game, just via scraping stats from the game's API. We did determine that this type of system can be effective with very very few false positives. Mainly our issue was that we did not have per game stats and player reports.

This can all be implemented in the background (no automatic suspension) until fine tuning is done. Also gives a good overview of which users get flagged and which are false to improve the algorithm scoring.

The chat profanity filter is way too aggressive and there should be an option to disable it (add this back, not sure why this option was removed).

You need to tell the players which users were banned based on reports so they know what they can improve for their next report. Not sure why companies are hiding this but ffs make a list with all your reports and which has been approved/declined. So we can use that information to improve our own reporting. Being more open gives us more tools to improve our own reporting.

Replay system to view matches and be able to report. Not on the top of my list of things that need implementation but nice to have. Makes it possible to get clips if you missed that during the game and also view other players' perspectives for cheating and also improve your own skills.

API to access player stats, maps, global statistics (stats per map/rank/gamemode), store, achievements, live bans/suspensions and history bans/suspensions. Give us data so we can make tools for the community.

Not gonna lie pretty happy most of the balance with gadgets/weapons. The only thing that does not click is the CL40, it's way too powerful solo. Needs to be nerfed to be more of a support weapon to assist the team and not solo. Right now its very strong solo and f (f like the thing grownups do in bed) impossible to play against with a good enemy team.

Extra (BE MORE TRANSPARANT):
Got a 24H ban in vc/text. Trying to get an idea of why so it does not happen again I get generic responses from Embark support. Opened 4 tickets and in the last ticket they mentioned that they cant say why, but read the TOS section 5. Like yeah sure but still you gotta give me something, how can your players improve if they never know exactly what was wrong. People all over the world plays this game, laws and norms are vastly different. NEED MORE TRANSPARANCY!

Add kusarigama for light OR MEDIUM class,primary attacks hit like sword but alt attack is u spin the chain and blade 160 degrees in front of u and most damage ONLY where blade hits NOT the WHOLE CHAIN,it’s skill based cause u hold down alt and the more u hold the longer u throw and only the blade part damages when spinning plus u can move your aim while spinning to make blade go in that direction,a mix of projectile and melee.

To simply put it,the melee alt is more like aim and shoot but use aim to move the blade and hit box.

There r two ways of implementing this,either the melee projectile starts from an arc from the left side and goes to the centre line and move as u change your aim or the projectile starts from the crosshairs and moves where u move your aim

U may change between the two using a different stance using the weapon inspection button or add more combos using that button.

Either u can’t use light spec when using alt or give this weapon to medium with a wall run gadget or else it’s the most dull experience chasing player as a medium

i could see something similar to mario kart work, where you get a choice between 2 maps, and if you dont like either, you can go random
perhaps there could be a backfill option, where you opt into playing lesser chosen maps so they can still get full matches quickly, in return for some small xp boost

it would make it twice as likely to get our favorite maps
vastly improve the chances of getting a map thats at least workable with the loadout you want to use (reducing how often players feel the need to use something they dont want because it just doesnt work well there)
allow us to purposefully get more variety by choosing maps we dont use as often, instead of needing to wait for the variety to randomly show up when the preference might already have faded again
and overall just make playing more enjoyable

I agree with you that the clamp requires more skill from the sword player yet it also makes it difficult for the sword user to use qm and do combos, meaning you lose skill expression there. Also, the risk is very high, because missing with a gun just means you do less damage but missing with the lunge means you’re stuck in a bad position and either die or have to use your dashes to make it out, crippling you until they’re back.

So how do we fix it? First: remove the clamp, but also remove multihit. This will be a nice give and take and make lunging viable in combat again. Second, I think the left click should be reverted- the combo playstyle sword players like doesn’t really need the damage and getting that little bit of attack speed back would be nice. Finally, we could try for a 140 damage lunge again (it was fine) but I don’t know if it’s worth the backlash.

the rotational clamp effectively removes the gimmick of the sword, the movement weapon. the down side of old sword was well you're using a melee weapon in a shooting game, that's the downside for all melee weapons.

running at you while spamming M1 is actually the least skillful thing in this game regardless of class, at least I had to aim and commit when using M2.

"dasing side to side with no risk" are you not shooting while they're dashing or?

I just encountered a match where my teammate could not move (or wouldn't). I've noticed where sometimes it would take 5-10 secs to be able to walk while still being able to shoot and even jump, but he was like it the entire match. This guy did ocasionaly shoot every like 20 secs so it also might be a bot? (not sure what they would get out of it since its world tour first round) Just in case the username is TaticalFashion, but this could also entirely be a bug.

Why am I losing RS when getting 3rd? Even if I'm 1st seeds I should be breaking even at LEAST with 3rd. Your ranking is way too punishing and has no concept of time spent to RS reward ratio. I'm not gonna play the game if it takes me 45 minutes to gain 1000 RS but only 15 to lose it.

I totally agree. There's no desire to improve this game; in fact, it's getting worse and worse over time. From the technical side to the gameplay, the game is regressing. It increasingly feels like a game left to its own devices, where total randomness reigns supreme.

Unbalanced weapons (cl40- and many melee weapons), non-existent matchmaking, etc.

In short, it increasingly feels like a game that rewards less skilled and casual players.

In fact, many players I know who have been playing for a while are abandoning it.

It will remain a casual game for casual players.

  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. There is no fun at all playing Light. When will we see a META with Light ?
Share with us your data on all class. Light are getting vanish by 80% of the weapons in your game and can't get a proper 1v1 without get instant kill. You destroyed the stun gun. You destroyed the XP54. Everyone viable weapons or gadget has been destroyed by other class because they can't track properly an other class with 150HP.

Double barrel needs a rework. A guaranteed 1-2 shot kill on the fastest class is not balanced, or fun to fight against at all. Light has so many tools to get in and out fast, its a lot easier to aim a shotgun than it is to track a dashing light, and the ttk is stacked in the lights favor.

Even if the light whiffs, they still have enough mobility and gadgets to get out with minimal risk as long as they arent charging into a team alone. It's too safe for the reward.

Embark, I have to say your game is trash. I'm 1000hours in and I've loved it ever since the first season.
Been playing cuz i love the freedom of gameplay you get and this hero build functionality is very peak. I started off in S1 with a very bad PC so i played it for fun. But ever since my recent pc upgrade ive been wanted to grind the diamond skins in ranked.

I can confidently say this, your ranked system is garbage.

Other than the matchmaking, that I'm sure you know is horrible. You're balancing is probably at the worst it can be.
It's so saddening to see how rewarding some disgusting strats are: riot shield, thermal vision, cl40... For a shooter this game rewards very poorly good aim and skills.
As a low plat and high gold player, somehow I constantly match the same sweats unemployed dudes that are rubys and spamming the same tactics -- and the numerous cheaters ofc. (Funny thing is I started picking up the riot shield and can easily 1v1 the ruby players that have been picking it up 24/7, they're brains are so switched off from spamming that they can't even outskill a gold player with the same kill potential).

I'm still grinding the S7 diamond as I can, getting +500 in 45min games and -1200 in 10min with lovely randoms šŸ™‚
But I'm burning out of your boring game, it's always the same. Nobody runs creative builds, only boring bland and effective ridiculous builds. (Btw as a light main, playing medium felt trash really the worst of the worst class, why does it exist? remove it at this point of how bad it is)
Once I get the diamond, I'll stay away from your game until it gets fixed. It is nowhere near Majors ready.

Edit: easy fix could be a ban system, 1 weapon + 2 gadgets ban per team. You will see how 1 dimensional the bans will be with how oppressing certain things are.
Also there is no incentive to play ranked it's just sad. Ranked is barely populated. Invert WT and ranked rewards.

I think you'll never come back. I've been waiting for them to fix the matchmaking since season 2, and it's still the same, being the worst designed matchmaking in the video game industry. It's been like this forever and they haven't done anything to fix it.

This has created a drip-feed of players leaving, getting us to the point we're at now, while others think the problem is: light is OP, medium is OP, heavy is OP, this weapon needs a buff, that weapon needs a nerf,... etc... They don't realize that the root problem is the mediocre matchmaking system we have, which has only made people stop playing because the matches make absolutely no sense.

But hey, I don't expect anything anymore since the base player count of this game is very, very low, so the injustice of this system will be even greater, until there are only a few thousand people playing, who will be the same players over and over, ruby, tryhards, etc... It will become a game for a reduced number of people, until it finally dies. It's the typical outcome when you don't take care of the matchmaking.

QOL Suggestion: Can we get a feature that make it so that when we go to the equipment tab from the main menu we can customize our specializations, weapons, and gadgets with sights, skins, stickers, and charms as a default setup. My hope is that this would make creating a new contestant faster, by not having to go and recustomize my equipment the way I like it each time I want to create a new contestant.

I've heard that there is one already in place but I don't necessarily agree since I have 50 hours on the game and frequently get emerald players in my qp lobbies, almost every match is 30k kills+ mega sweats. For reference I have 960. Also maybe move stacked teams into matches with other stacked teams.

Serious question, why the FUCK do ANY weapons of medium or heavy have higher DPS than ANY light weapons? FCAR alone outshoots pretty much every light gun, even at POINT BLANK somehow. Lights are so heavily underpowered in high ELO, I'm sick of trash ass players complaining, it is NOT an easy class to play.

ARN v medium - 1.16 seconds
V9S v medium - 1.00 second
XP v medium - 1.05 seconds
LH1 v medium - 1.11 seconds

Lights are supposed to be squishy, but when you have players who located at shoot you within 0.5 seconds, the margin is INSANELY small. I can even sneak up on a medium, start shooting a good 0.5 seconds and still lose, assuming around 80% accuracy. Of course this also doesn't take into account the use of demat, every mediums favorite crutch.

You're playing a Fragile Class. I feel a weapon isn't doing its job if you aren't dying quickly to an enemy using it effectively.
You have less health, WAY way more mobility, and a smaller hitbox. If you're not moving correctly, you're going to be punished.
Cant tell you how many times i've been outplayed by a V9S light that knows how to move correctly, even with something like a Shotgun, CL-40, or Rifle like the FCAR or AKM

(Also i agree with Laz here, please remove Sniper from Powershift, the sightlines are all abysmal with very little ability to cover all angles with Cover. the LTMs have diffrently balanced weapons/Diffrent avalable weapons, why cant something like Powershift, TDM, or Cashout have diffrent rules from each other Weapons wise)

The single biggest problem in The Finals—bar none, I would dare say—is the matchmaking. This is a great game whose experience is consistently ruined by matchmaking that forces low-level solo players who are still learning the game to fight unstoppable 3-stacks on comms. My feedback is usually opinions, but I think it’s an objective fact that NO ONE should be matched with or against players who are dozens of levels above them. I as a level-85 player am constantly placed in the same team as a pair of sub-30 newbies. It’s not fun for me, and it’s got to be even more painful for them to have to face all the sweats at this level. TL;DR PLEASE do something about your matchmaking Embark, it’ll go miles toward improving your game’s performance with your audience.

Bow is literally a shotgun with marksman capabilities that you can hold a full draw indefinitely
Has no reload time ( and no the half a second it takes to replace a shot arrow is not enough to be called a reload) and can deliver full damage at any range
It's also very spammable while it retains high damage even when not a full draw
Headshots at close range are ridiculously easy to hit because the thing is essentially a hitscan in CQB
The only gun that comes close to that kind of burst damage is the DB which has the obvious drawback of only having 2 shells and a downtime due to the reload
Bow was better when you couldn't hold the draw for eternity

My suggestion would be to only be able to hold the bow at full draw for like 7 seconds
I see so many bow users holding the thing at full draw and just using the dash to move more quickly to where they wanna be.

Just throwing idea's out there but in the current state the bow is literally better at being a shotgun than the actual shotguns.

Even if it's not 40Āŗ,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling.Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable,it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.

Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.

Every weapon,when in close range,can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and turn to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to dagger and all weapon?Why, sword can’t turn around like all does? Every weapon can naturally turn around and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that?

Even that previous hit sweep nerf made sword too weak and you ended up reverting it.Yet now you’re doing something even worse.

Someone says,"Don’t remove multi-hit from Lunge" because without it,sword will become nothing but an M1 spam weapon. But that’s dumb take. Sword is already useless M1 spam weapon. Lunge is already useless in close range thanks to the aim clamp.Even with multi-hit, you can’t land it cause rotation clamp.The real priority isn’t keeping multi-hit — it’s removing the aim clamp. I’m not against multi-hit; what I’m saying is that aim lock should never exist.

I love The Finals for its fast-paced action, destructible environments, and creative loadouts. I believe adding a Battle Royale mode could take the game to the next level and attract a huge audience.

Why it would work:

Unique Destruction Gameplay: No other battle royale lets players destroy the map like The Finals. This could create epic moments and new strategies.

Dynamic Gadgets: Grappling hooks, explosives, and healing gadgets would add a chaotic and fun twist to the shrinking zone concept.

Replayability: Every match would feel different thanks to physics-based destruction and creative player approaches.

It could start as a limited-time mode to test community feedback, and if successful, become a permanent feature.

I mean thats just an unreasoneable take on balancing the bow and how it works. The most important things youre argument is just blatanly ignoring is that the bow has significant downtime if you miss. Not bc of bad aim but bc good players know how to play around that with theire movement. Like i said in my first message even if you feel like its easy to hit (i have 30 smth hours with it bc i mained it on release) ill tell you its not "hard" but almost any other weapon is easier to hit with. To further expand on the downtime even if you do hit every shot with the bow and even get some headshots mixed in with that at close range the ttk for every other class exept lights bc of the oneshot is higher than most weapons if you account for the difference in hp. In a light 1v1 your are also almost guaranteed to lose if you dont get the inititial headshot since light has the highest dps weapons in the game. And to cut throught your point of spamming it and not losing much damage is also just poorly looked at: The bows power is at its peak when its fully charged, not only bc the highest damage increase is after its fully charged but bc its accuracy improves miles when it is. So no you cant spam the bow bc you will lose not only dmg but more important accuracy on a weapon which is alr harder to aim with than most other weapons. So to conclude hit your shots and play around the bow knowing its blatant weaknesses since its so different than most weopons šŸ˜‰ ( also the only weapon that is truly harder to hit is throwing knives bc theres 2 shorter range and agressive drop)

So true, it's so grindy, ranked should be the grindy mode. But both WT and ranked are.
I'm done with everything and currently trying to hit diamond on ranked, I'm so burned out. Ranked is in a terrible state and there's no incentive to play it, that it's barely even populated. This will be the only season I touch ranked, after that never again, it's such in a poor state. Overall everything is, let's be honest.

i have been playing this game for quiet some time now, i really enjoy this game and i would consider myself decent. however i am limited due to the game not having any middle eastern/dubai servers. i have to play at 100+ ping which limits my chances of winning due to an unfair disadvantage and not skill issue.
i ask for the game to give us middle eastern or dubai servers in order for the people in the region to enjoy the game fully and not be in a disadvantage.

ranked is fun but last night me & my team went fifth in maybe six games in a row? its really the third parties..every time we were about to get a cashout we'd get third partied. also the boxes disappearing during overtime..i see why we made the change and i like the thinking but i think overall it was a bad idea

Grenade launcher needs to be tweaked again the required amount of skill is nihil. And people be abusing it. Honestly there are a few counters like close range and aps but thats quite it. It should maybe have less splash damage. I feel the heavy grenade launcher should do the damage the CL-40 does. Because that weapons requires way more skill

Can we please have a discussion about the over-prevalence of Lights in TDM? It is consistent that every match I load into has a majority of Lights on both teams and I'm sure many others have had the same experience. I dont feel like its fair to let one class dominate an entire gamemode. I feel like something has to be done about this, we constantly talk about balance this and balance that but then let this kind of issue persist with little to no discussion about it.

I feel like the essence of TDM is to be more lax and freeform than the other gamemodes, but this core idea is completely crushed because Light is allowed to roam unchained and spam thing like smoke + thermal vision, endlessly toss glitch grenades or have 3 evade melees dance around you with very few ways to stop it.

I propose a restriction on how many of one class is allowed to be on a team, say 2 max? How do others feel about this proposition? What are your ideas?

Finals seems to pride itself on variety, so it feels very counterproductive to let TDM flounder like this. Why add it in the first place if you're just going to ignore it?

It is also very hard for our feedback to feel seen. I realize Embark isn't the biggest team, but is there really no way for you to let us know that our feedback messages have at least been read? Please do not end up like all the others, be better.

another day another post about how dog shit this WT matchmaking in EU is. It's impossible to play solo on here, people are either full on smoothbrains playing like they are new to the game while being lvl80+, play like it's full on casual QC, use turret (now that is what i call a usless spec that is 100% throwing matches), or can't follow with their aim a STATIONARY TARGET (even did show video proof before here) and than you put me against a team of diamonds/rubies that have such small cahones that the only thing they aver do is 3rd teaming after the other team got whiped so obiously we loose tha cash (honestly getting 3rd teamed by people after you just whiped a whole team just feels disheartening and even worse when you got smoothbrain teammates). This is impossible to play, this is just down right sadistic. You have such a good and amazing game yet it's berried under shit tone of microtransactions, and the worst matchmaking there is. Here you are asking 30 bucks for a battlepass yet can't deliver a decent enough playing experience

P.S The cheating problem for this game is fucking ginormous. My best estimate is that at least 30% of rubies is cheating (including some of your partner programs) and in ranked matches anything over a plat match has at least 1 cheater. It has gotten so bad that every season we got more and more cheaters in WT too. Salt to the wound is your "pity" rp that should give 1k minimum for a lost match with a cheater in it yet here i am with my 50 that is an insult at this point. THE 30 DAY BAN FOR CHEATING IS ALSO MINDBOGLING AND A SLAP ON THE WRIST FOR ANYONE CHEATING, IT'S AN INSULT TO YOUR PLAYER TOO.
I honestly think the anticheat you got has to be a free version that does literary nothing and the only way to ban someone is to send you a video. There wasn't even 1 match where it detected the cheater

Even if it's not 40Āŗ,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling.Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable,it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.

Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.

Every weapon,when in close range,can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and turn to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. Even that previous hit sweep nerf made sword too weak and you ended up reverting it.Yet now you’re doing something even worse.

Man, you don't know how many times I've seen people quit the game right after start a few minutes it because of a bad start (like a team wipe or lose the first cashout). It's like, man! There's still plenty room for improvement, and much more! And people leaving the game puts the team at quite a disadvantage! It's annoying, very annoying, and as someone who plays that mode a lot I can say that it really ruins the gaming experience, sometimes even leaving you completely alone!

Since I've been seeing a lot of people talking about how the riot shield needs a nerf. I figured why not give my suggestions for a rework that still makes it fair for both sides of the shield. This perspective is coming from someone who has been playing riot shield since season 1:

Passive block, the main thing people have been talking about - My suggested rework is to nerf it a bit , but give it utility in other places. The passive block is 100% essential in how the riot shield plays, so it should still be in place. But I think the shield should be at an angle to allow for people to shoot the legs/feet easier while in a panic. Heck maybe even making the shield slightly smaller when not actively blocking. But, the utility side of it could be that the shield stays to your side while performing long actions like reviving or stealing. Its main gimmick is blocking bullets, why not lean into it more?

Active blocking - in its current state, it's almost never used in higher level play. Active blocking should serve a larger role in how the weapon is played. There's two suggestions I have for this, and I'm not too sure which one would be better. (Or both together would be good)

  1. Making the active block more protective, make the shield larger and cover more of the body. Could even have more protection against things that normally pass right through the shield. And depending on how much the passive block gets nerfed, a slight movement increase
  2. Allow the ability to crouch while blocking for absolute full protection from the front, with the downside of very slow movement speed.

I'd love to see what other people have to say about this potential idea.

I have a issue with the game, which is people leaving without any concequence. I would like to have it when people leave the game to many times (Due to Rage Quit or Trolling) they would be like a "temporary ban". Meaning they won't play the game for a short period of time, usually like 15 mins. Which would increase overtime by the addition of 15 mins. Example 15 will be 30, then 45 then 60. I feel that would discourge people from leaving the game and solving the issue

Old sword was broken, 140 dmg was to much. I want melees to be viable but right now most of them need a rework, there is no skill on getting close and doing insane dmg without the need of aiming, the only exception here is dagger. The recent sword change is good, it makes it more unique compared to the rest of the melees (except the m1 dmg buff), i still think it needs some type of buff to make it more viable but increasing only the dmg is not a good way of balancing

The initial onboarding experience, mainly tutorials, explaining the game modes with more clarity, and easing you into the main attraction. It can be both intimidating for someone new, take myself for example, and being matched/paired with others who have hundreds, if not thousands of hours. Those players get stuck with a new player, and the new player gets yelled at for knowing less than they do. Being decent at FPS games is one thing, but The Finals is honestly more than just a simple shooter, which is awesome, but coming into this with the expectation of "You must know everything I do" or "Bro, go back to CoD" can be off-putting.

The griefing is unbearable. You can be soooo deserving of a win during ur ranked games, but u cant do anything because the matchmaking is terrible there is always a dominating ruby team in plat lobbies there to grief you (how tragic is this btw).

- Firstly, make ranked more incentive to play than WT Majors is coming up!! Wake tf up, why is the casual mode WT dominating in this game when MAJOR IS HAPPENING? Every other game the ranked mode is the most important

  • Secondly, a friend had a good idea about dealing with griefing: When the first team manages to double the 2nd cashout. As they are for sure qualified, they should leave the arena and let the remaining teams fight for it. It's the only way to deal with griefing, and not make the box disappear, it didn't change anything.

  • Rework Nulifier (again) : When you get it by the "Taser" recoil is increased but you can still move as you want & you take 5 dmg/sec by the electricity during 3 sec. Can hit multiple target when you shoot.
  • Increase the hip fire the CB01-Repeater
  • Rework Vanish Bomb. Make it start regen instant. It will increase survability for the Light & it can be use for your teammates too !
  • Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR like Riot Shield.
  • Nerf the range of the KS23. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
  • Nerf PIKE to 48 dmg instead of 50 dmg.
  • Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive safer !
  • Winch & lockbolt shouldn't do 5 damages. It's already strong enough
  • Rework the ARN into a real AR ? Slower RPM but much more DMG. Something like the FCAR for example.

The effort to play Light correctly is too damn high compared to Medium & Heavy class. There is no fun at all playing Light. When will we see a META with Light ?
Share with us your data on all class. Light are getting vanish by 80% of the weapons in your game and can't get a proper 1v1 without get instant kill. You destroyed the stun gun. You destroyed the XP54. Everyone viable weapons or gadget has been destroyed by other class because they can't track properly an other class with 150HP.

Sword requires 70+ on Primary Attack (PA) and 140+ on Secondary Attack (SA) to be viable.

  • To be viable VS
    • Heavy: SA x2 + PA must be ≄ 350
    • Medium: SA + QM + PA must be ≄ 250
  • AKA, SA must be ≄ 140/PA must be ≄ 70

Rotation Clamp must be removed for Secondary Attack to be viable for combat.

  • A tiny sidestep makes it impossible to land

The ultimate battle pass was robbery along with the $ amount set sets. The whole point is to have stuff they know people would want to pick and chose but can’t just get the one item out. An played right into it. The only reason they have sets you can’t use mb and a bp that you can’t get with mb is so you have to spend more then the few $ it would have cost to get that one item or use the mb you already have for the ultimate.

World Tour is half-ranked mod, and the only mod they reward you with coins for rank, 3 of my frineds already left the game because how unplayable this mod is, and i'm on the verge. For the past 3 weeks literally every single day, in 95% of my game, i log in, i die and see some 50k+ kills nolifer, and i know, even if i'll shit myself i can't possibly win this game, the #2 is my limit. A lot of folks aren’t understanding that the Light class is supposed to be a glass cannon. It’s supposed to have high damage weapons because of the low health.

The 93R doesn’t need a nerf. All other Light weapons should be brought up to match its effectiveness. Although I will say, the double barrel is too powerful in its current state. Further, dash needs a nerf. Either remove one dash charge, increase the recharge rate of charges, or add a longer delay between being able to use each dash charge.

This game NEED more casual or arcade like game modes if it wants to grow.

I LOVE The Finals, ive played it just about every day since launch and its my go to shooter but it has a few big problems. The lack of real growth and a limited pool of game modes that are VERY competitive.

every time i bring friends into this game they almost always want to play Power shift because its not a "sweat fest" or "more casual". I love playing competitive but i do agree with them, this game NEEDS more long term "fun" game modes! i remember falling in love with Halo, not for its story or competitive scene but because of the fun and wacky game modes that the COMMUNITY made!!!

i can understand(to a point) not allowing us to make custom maps but at the very least allow us to make our own custom game modes? give us the ability to make the game modes like you do Embark?! i want to set weapons, and classes and equipment! i want to set team sizes and what the Objective is! i want to make game modes like Prophunt, Hide n seek, Infection and so many more!

there is so much potential with this game and i want it unlocked!!
allowing players to make there own game modes and publish them would make this game explode! I just know it! and if your really smart, have a rotating playlist of the more popular game modes so everyone can play them, even if they dont have enough friends for a full game!!!

I have 3 character and 1 private match additions, I would absolutely love if they were added. For characters:

  1. first person inspect of all weapon skins (currently can only do if they’re in a bundle or are in the shop)
  2. One extra character loud out. I have 3 mediums and 3 heavy. And it’s annoying that I only have 2 for light, since it means sometimes when I want to switch to a different loud out, I have to manually change everything. 3 for each class is perfect.
  3. Hand cosmetics being equip-able on either hands. Some of the items, I want on a different hand (e.g. the red hand from S7 bp, I want on the left), or might want on both hands (e.g. the rings from S5 bp).

And for private matches, settings for the game modes is so needed.
Nothing crazy. Simple things like timer, respawn time, tokens etc.
When I’m playing with 3 other friends, we really want to do a 1v1v1v1 world tour, but due to limited Tokens and being killed leading to long respawn time, it’s not really possible to do.
And even world tour modifiers being pickable like the wall hack one.

It is single handedly ruining every match because of how oppressive and annoying it is. You can't even shoot back since the recoil and damage fall-off with every other gun in the game makes it impossible. Even with the pike, landing 4 consecutive shots on a pixel in the distance with that recoil before they un-peek is not happening often.

Even if a team member counter swaps to sniper, now there's just 2 problems ruining the experience for both teams...

Maybe because the CL40 is a C-tier weapon at the very best, B tier in incredibly skilled hands.

It is annoying to get shot by it due to the visual clutter and sound, but is objectively a weak weapon with low overall DPS, a very long reload, and few situations where you can reliably land grenades - if enemies have even the slightest high ground on you you are then forced to land direct hits, and far away enemies can easily dodge grenades since they have travel time.

I would agree that CL40 is bust in Power Shift alone, because people are forced into a small open area that’s easy to get high ground on and mindlessly spam grenades, but the game should never be balanced around power shift.

The CL40 needs some sort of rework to be not-annoying to noobs, but also at least somewhat viable/not a throw pick in competitive/competent lobbies (let’s call it gold 2 and higher to be generous).

I’m sure they haven’t further nerfed it because the data shows that it’s a weak weapon overall, it just thrashes low level lobbies because those sorts of players don’t understand that you can completely negate CL40 with good positioning.

Come on. This is a problem. PLEASE do something about your matchmaking Embark. This kind of thing will hurt new player and veteran player retention alike, and I love your game too much to see it die without at least saying something. Even if it's not 40Āŗ,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling.Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable,it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.

Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.

Every weapon,when in close range,can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and turn to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to dagger and all weapon?Why, sword can’t turn around like all does? Every weapon can naturally turn around and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that?

Even that previous hit sweep nerf made sword too weak and you ended up reverting it.Yet now you’re doing something even worse.

CL-40 is still incredibly overpowered and the sword buff was not only completely unnecessary but also made the weapon completely overpowered.
Dash is also incredibly overpowered as it’s a get-out-of-jail free card to absolutely any melee weapon except another dash user which should not be the way it is.
I can’t speak for PC users but on console it is genuinely impossible to hit dash users consistently due to sensitivity.
And finally invisibility is incredibly inconsistent across all platforms… PLEASE make it consistent. It should absolutely not under any circumstances make fights rely entirely upon how much money your willing to spend on you gaming system. On ps4 it is GENUINELY invisible while on a newer console/PC it doesn’t even compare. This is by far my biggest gripe about the game in its current state.

Sword is broken and needs a revert its unbalanced now. Them not having to pair attacks with lung for lowest hits makes no sense like 2 swords run up who ever spams swing right wins because swing beats lung and is faster to follow up.

Smoke, thermal vis, and winch need to be vaulted until a rework comes through.

Smoke is entirely against the principles of this game. There's no counterplay through positioning or environment. It not only shuts down the enemies ability to see anything, but also teammates. Meaning unless your entire team is basing their composition around smoke, you're oftentimes just slowing down the pace and ruining any form of competitive enjoyment. The cherry on top is that smoke is widely inconsistent and setting based, meaning it can lead to cases where you are shot fully through the smoke without any way of knowing.

Thermal Vis is a similar case in many ways. You can't see that a light is using thermal vis, even after dying. Additionally, using thermal vis is an extremely buggy experience. In many cases it will make enemies nearly invisible, despite them being right in front of you. This gadget effectively feels like the other light is "hacking" and there's zero counterplay. Oftentimes you feel forced to use it if other lights are running smokes or invis, which means you're getting a buggy experience with less personal expression. Not to mention how you can often feel forced off of cloak/vanish because of thermal.

Winch continues to have these themes. It effectively provides a free kill at the start of every fight. There's next to no counterplay against winch, seeing as there's no wind up. Additionally, it usually will "finds a way" and connects around cover, walls, etc. However, it can also just decide to not work. Winch can visually fully connect with somebody yet not actually connect at all. This is all not to mention that mesh shield is completely useless against winch, ruining that aspect. Finally, it has been the primary factor behind ruining/ignoring Heavies close range options. Does this all seem familiar? That's right, it is buggy, inconsistent, uncounterable, and limits build variety. Just like everything else on this list.

Embark, at some point in your roadmap are you planning on changing the matchmaking? You spend every season focused on balancing weapons, and they will never be to everyone's liking, and frankly, this won't make people abandon the game.

The real problem you have is the matchmaking system, which creates a totally unfair experience for the player, and ultimately leads to them quitting. The current system is beyond repair; it's completely broken. You haven't touched any of this since season 2, which is long enough to adjust things to the current reality of the game's state: there are too few players to continue maintaining your current matchmaking implementation, it's unsustainable.

do something about the cheating issue in this game. its really getting out of hand. cant get any game almost anymore without there beeng blaitant cheaters ruening it all. in every mode. and this meele meta is just the most boring gameplay ive seen seens release. the hitbox on riotshield needs a change. cz that is not fair right now. even if i hit them in the back 90% of bullets that should register dont register. and its so frustrating. hitbox on meele weapons are also not good at all. i agree with alot of people here. it is a shooter. and when people run around every game with 3 meeles. that block every bullet u have. and just 3 man run you down its very demotivating. removes all fun from this game. but pls do somehting about the cheaters. im so sick of it. 2 seasons now its just been out of controll. and nothings happening. still cheaters everywhere.

Even if it's not 40Āŗ,as long as any form of aim lock exists,sword will have the most idiotic handling.Since the rotation clamp is clearly the biggest thing that makes the weapon unusable,it should not exist in the game at all.You should just revert sword back to how it was in S1 and S2, when there was no multi-hit. Sword back then was a bit weak, but that’s okay. It’s better than receiving a dumb patch that destroys the weapon’s original identity, even if it’s a weaker weapon.

Because you thought sword was weak when there was no multi-hit,you patched multi-hit in.But because your obsession with keeping that led to the dumbest decision, even removing mechanics all other weapons have.

Every weapon,when in close range,can naturally move behind the enemy or slide behind and turn to hit. And dagger is a weapon specifically designed for that. So are you going to add aim lock to dagger and all weapon?Why, sword can’t turn around like all does? Every weapon can naturally turn around and attack. But sword alone is restricted from doing that?

Even that previous hit sweep nerf made sword too weak and you ended up reverting it.Yet now you’re doing something even worse.

Someone says,"Don’t remove multi-hit from Lunge" because without it,sword will become nothing but an M1 spam weapon. But that’s dumb take. Sword is already useless M1 spam weapon. Lunge is already useless in close range thanks to the aim clamp.Even with multi-hit, you can’t land it cause rotation clamp.The real priority isn’t keeping multi-hit — it’s removing the aim clamp. I’m not against multi-hit; what I’m saying is that aim lock should never exist.

The CL-40 grenade launcher is a B-tier weapon yes, but it's annoying as hell to fight. The fact that the weapon hits so far above its skill requirement is the issue; the Revolver and Repeater would like to have a word with the Dev who balanced this bullshit.

Usually the people screaming to use APS are usually the bad CL-40 players that are bad at movement and just keep shooting when the player has APS up or are bad players conforming their kit around a single individual with a CL-40 and hurting their survivability against the shitter's other teammates.

The CL-40 Noobtube has absolutely no business having any chance of winning in a 1v1 against any other weapon in a CQC fight without taking themselves with it, just like an RPG. It's an Area of Denial weapon for holding the payload or breaking up a turtling team, not a bunny hopping CQC weapon for shitters who can't aim to abuse.

Devs, regarding the reverting back on the second vault despawning in OT, thank you. I know you have more insight into why it's good or bad, but hopefully we see it return to ranked as well. Had several deflating moments last night with the other vault picked up, and just despawning in the middle of a valiant run.

Buffing the vertical clamp for sword is nice, but is far from fixing the actual issue. An expansion to the clamp for horizontal movement could work (as long as it’s enough), but please just remove the clamp and remove multihit. Me and others have been saying this and it’s a way to give sword its identity back while also preventing hitting entire teams while spinning in circles

I don't understand the Model "buff". I usually die either because I'm stuck on the janky non-empty reload, or because I'm not doing enough DPS long before I even empty the clip. Adding an extra round is only contributing to the first issue, and the empty reload is by far preferable to reloading mid clip. I think the weapon performance is gonna be even worse going forward.

Well the thing is that in a standard close range 1v1 the CL40 does lose against every other weapon - the DPS is objectively lower than all of the guns. The only time CL40 wins that fight is if the CL40 user utilizes peek shooting from cover / movement to not be exposed between shots.

Saying that CL40 takes no skill is a massive fallacy - sure it FEELS that way when you are poorly positioned against one (5-10m away from them without high ground or cover to work with), but that’s where it is supposed to be strong. There are plenty of other positioning scenarios where the CL40 literally cannot deal ANY damage to you without a direct hit, which is something that guns never suffer from - if you see your target you can just click on them and not worry as much about how you are positioned.

The same can be said for melee - melee weapons are objectively some of the hardest to actually win with, but once you’re in melee range (granted you haven’t lost all of your hp getting into melee range) they feel strong and people cry ā€œno skillā€ because they are only concerned with aiming and don’t think about everything else that goes into making something like melee work well in an actual match (again, not powershift or TDM).

The problem is high level vs low level player perspective. If you have a CL40 user in a plat/diamond lobby and they’re doing well, the usual thought is ā€œdamn that dude is really landing his shots and moving wellā€, whereas lower level players cry ā€œno skillā€ because all they see is the smoke/noise/splash damage without ever considering that the CL40 only works within a narrow set of positioning requirements, and that the full damage radius is only 50cm which is basically a direct hit to the feet.

Spear: increase the first swing damage in the combo from 65 to 70 and the last one from 90 to 95 making it 70, 80, 95 and increase the spin attack damage to 120, it needs to kill a heavy with 3 hits because

Reason #1: you're vulnerable to being shot and killed during the animation

Reason #2: you move slow during the animation

Reason #3: you can't manually cancel it unless you use the communication wheel

and make the lunge speed a little faster because everytime i lunge towards my target, i don't get any closer, i've tried it on the dummies in the practice range

KS-23: either give it a 1.2x headshot multiplier or decrease the fire rate to 73 RPM and increase the player damage to 120

R.357: increase the fire rate from 140 to 160 RPM

Dual blades: make the Deflect more consistent so it can block all melee weapons and increase the first swing damage from 50 to 55, increase the second swing damage from 60 to 65 and increase the final attack damage from 65 to 75 and make it so the final attack can be done faster and increase the movement speed when blocking and deflecting and make it so the blades deflect pellets from shotguns more consistently and accurately because right now it's bugged, it deflects one pellet and then deflects more pellets at a certain range and the bullets come out of the person's head instead of their gun at point blank range, pls fix the bug

AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose

Data Reshaper: increase the charges from 2 to 3 and decrease the cooldown from 26s to 20s

Model 1887: remove the eject-and-catch-shell reload animation and make its tactical reload like the KS-23's tactical reload and increase the fire rate to 85 RPM

I wish we had a dagger buff for it's backstab, with the issues it has, it's just not competitively viable (hit registration and the 150° angle not being equal in both sides sometimes).

I've been playing it for a while, and it's just so difficult against any higher up players, there's a reason why it has so little use in competitive play half_friend

it’s a well known fact the blocking animation and the actual shield hit box don’t match. They are working on it and today have released one of the first several fixes (check patch notes)

I got a better issue tho. Why in the ever loving fuc7 do I lose ranked points if a cun7 in my team decided to ditch the game at start, forcing me and another random to go 3v2?

fucking damn it with reverting double stack at the very last seconds of the match, this just make being 2nd useless, because even if the 1st and 2nd high the most cash, the 1st place team can just double stack to the 3rd or 4th place so the 1st place team have easier opponents next round, the same goes with the final round.

First off, amazing job on the game — it's super fun and unique, and a lot of us here are really enjoying it
I just wanted to bring up an issue that’s affecting a big part of your player base. Many players from the Middle East and India are having a hard time with high ping because there aren’t any nearby servers. Most of us get 100+ ms which makes it tough to play competitively or even casually sometimes.
There’s a huge and active community here that would really benefit from regional servers — whether in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, or India. It would help reduce latency and improve the overall experience for thousands of players.
Hope you guys take this into consideration. We’d really love to enjoy the game at its full potential.

CL-40 is still incredibly overpowered and the sword buff was not only completely unnecessary but also made the weapon completely overpowered.
Dash is also incredibly overpowered as it’s a get-out-of-jail free card to absolutely any melee weapon except another dash user which should not be the way it is.
I can’t speak for PC users but on console it is genuinely impossible to hit dash users consistently due to sensitivity.
And finally invisibility is incredibly inconsistent across all platforms… PLEASE make it consistent. It should absolutely not under any circumstances make fights rely entirely upon how much money your willing to spend on you gaming system. On ps4 it is GENUINELY invisible while on a newer console/PC it doesn’t even compare. This is by far my biggest gripe about the game in its current state.

Also add goblins to the finals.

Hey dont usually talk here. Just wanted to say that I think the denuvo choice isn't a great play by Embark.

The game is getting a lot of new publicity by big social personalities right now, and so a lot of people are looking. They're going to see (debatabley) one of the most disliked companies in gaming being added as Anti-cheat (uses Kernal Level and also AI, so players are 'training' a model without their knowledge).

Haven't personally ran into cheaters yet so not going to say there are none, but disappointed to see the path being chosen. Just wanted to voice my opinion.

If I should fill out a form or something else for 'voicing comments/concerns I'll send it there. Sorry if this wasn't the right spot.

Ranked should be like the new 3v3 mode, since the matches are not going to be decided by luck, there will be no third parties, no unexpected things that make it feel unfair. The matches can be played in the best of 5 rounds, if you lose 0-3 you lose points as if you were eliminated in the first round of the current system, if you lose 1-3 you lose a few points, if you lose 2-3 you win a few points, and if you win the match, you receive points like winning a tournament. In addition, this way the world tour mode and the ranked mode would be more differentiated.
