It would be really cool to get some out of the box weapons next season.
If it's fantasy themed it'd be cool to get stuff like:
- A sword (Excalibur) that slashes with the left click and can charge up a ranged magic sword beam slam with a right click. Could make for a cool hybrid burst weapon.
- A flail you throw out with left click and pull in with a right click. You control it by flailing your screen around. It's physics based like the wreaking balls. It does a lot of destruction damage if you can get it going fast enough, and knocks players around.
- A book that can cast 3 different spell types. You swap them by reloading. They cycle on reload in a set pattern. Each one recharges over time (3 mana pools), or takes from one mana pool but use different amounts of it.
- Could have a fire ball spell. Basic workhorse. Damage isn't great, but sets enemies on fire.
- An icethrower type of spell that doesn't do much damage but slows enemies while it hits them. Does low damage. Puts out fires, but also slows teammates when extinguishing. Reinforces goo against fire, but makes it brittle.
- A lightning spell that can pierce through or chain between enemies and physical gadgets (whatever is more fun). Does extra damage to shields (does not pierce them). Can't destroy goo because it's an insulator.
- These are just some examples, the spells could be anything tbh.
- A yokai ghost that follows you around, you can send it a short distance ahead of you to punch people or lock it in place to punch a specific spot. The ghost can be destroyed when sent out, which then makes it reload. Figure fantasy could include Asian fantasy as well.
Get weird with it. Let's get some strange stuff in this game show.
EDIT: @safe ravine . Ayo, this game is more similar to spellbreak than you'd think actually. These weapons aren't very chaotic tbh. Sledge exsits lol. The book is 3 spells in one weapon. So skins would be like an ancient slab, science book, etc.
Dev bros, the maps for the event are dope as hell, you already know that. Great job keep up the fantastic game! You will continue to get my money.

I think the matchmaking might have broke since last 2 patches.
It constantly puts me up against the highest level and rank, eventho im silver. I also get around level 30 in my team.
While the enemies are always like level 80
I stand with you on this one, all those ideas would be my dream come true in a game like the Finals. Unfortunately, no need to read everything to know that it would be actually bad for the game: balance wise, too chaotic, and would throw many people off imo.
Having too much goofy ahh shi would kill the game imo, altho i love ur ideas. It wouldnt help it to be taken seriously, especially as it's aiming to be a competitive mainstream game. This isnt Spellbreak it's a First-Person Shooter.
(Also if u release your ice thrower spell, what skin would you give it? It would just be a ice throw spell and NOTHING else)
What I think would be cool tho, is adding those as skins! A fireball for pyronade. A anime type sword for the regular sword. The book for demat... etc stuff like that
This game has infinite potential, and we get kind of mid cosmetics imo... We could have literally ANYTHING, like Viking armor, Wizard robes or mummy skins but we get lame fish tshirt (in the BP lvl 75). Like come on Embark, you can tap into more exciting stuffs!
As a final suggestion, to not discard everything you just said: Embark should do a melee weapon that can alt range throw. Spear was perfect to implement this. But ig we have what we have, nothing wrong with Spear its a cool weapon.
But a hybrid weapon that can melee AND range would be sick, without being too broken.
we should have a set as default button for charms and stickers, its so annoying changed them one by one and i use the exact same stuff on every gun and equiptment

Game could have a close(r) range option like AKM, M11 and M60 and long(er) option like Lewis, XP and FCAR
Each being better in their respective effective range.
I suggest making weapons like AKM, M11 and M60 have really good hipfire and more bullets (mostly AKM)
And weapons like Lewis, XP and FCAR to have worse hipfire, but less recoil when aiming.
I feel like this would give those weapons some sort of differences that players would consider around their playstyles rather than using the always "correct" option, which tends to be the weapon which happens to do all or most things the best.

- Either limit it's pick rate per team to prevent 3x Medium defibs or lower the defib health regain for Medium as a deterent.
Buff Riot Shield or change it's mechanics.
Buff dual blades, or change their mechanics.
Bring back KS and other animation cancels for specializations.
Add a grenade indicator.
Put glitch mines on Light or Heavy and nerf them. Maybe have their do a burst of glitch, not a consistent one.
Overall, I believe this game is suffering from Medium's current style. It is designed to be able to do basically everything combat-wise, which is ridiculous. You want to snipe? Medium can do it. You want to melee? Medium can do it. You want to use a shotgun at close quarters? Medium can do it.
I understand that Medium is meant to be a Jack of all trades kind of deal, but it should be capable at most, but a master at nothing in specific. Instead, it's a must-have for sweats who want to optimize everything, and they get the best of both worlds because of how Medium currently it.
Medium can perform support duties:
- Healing
- Defib
- Mines
- Turrets
Medium can perform movement duties:
- Zipline
- Jump Pad
- Demat
Medium can perform combat effectively and indepedently with it's variety of weapons.
- You can have 1 person for long range.
- 1 for close.
- 1 for mid.
Medium is the problem in this game because it has essentially nill drawbacks, BESIDES area destruction... which can now just be substituted with expo canisters and grenades. Change how Medium works, stop freaking out about Light and Heavy being too strong, they both have very noticable weaknesses, while Medium really doesn't (other than destruction). It's infuriating seeing the 3x Medium meta, and it's even more unfun to play against. You made 3 classes for a reason, make them all a viable choice, preferably being LMH instead of a 3x of ANY CLASS.
Also, criticism is welcome.

remove RNG wheel events, find a way to make events not RNG (with contracts like idk, PREVIOUS events);
add PEACE Center to regular TDM map rotation (awesome map);
nerf Cerberus (slightly);
bring back old battle passes for purchase and completion (perhaps even open beta stuff?);
allow players to select ranked rewards based on the league they reached (both WT and Ranked), make all weapons available for this;
some weapons could use more sight options such as pistols (93r, v9s, revolver, etc);
allow weapon sight changes in practice range;
try to merge WT and Ranked or somehow allow for the progression of both modes (most likely playing Ranked also counts for WT), too much grinding for people with jobs, if this is not an option, then you could just make WT easier to grind, lessen the point requirements (or grant more points for advancing);

You could experiment with giving weapons alt-fire options (for example, an AR for Medium that has an underbarrel GL or Shotgun, so that primary fire is AR, secondary fire is ADS, and alt-fire is underbarrel attachment);
Eclipse Shade skin for minigun that gives it a triangular design with three barrels;
Railgun gadget for Heavy (designed like railgun from RE3 remake), could penetrate multiple destructible walls in a thin line, deal less damage than RPG to opponents;
Syringe gun gadget for Heavy that heals idk like 35 to 50% hp and converts any extra hp into overheal that decreases overtime, could also give it the option to be used on teammates from range;
M79 (or M320) grenade launcher gadget for medium: essentially RPG on Medium (breaching tool and single use AOE burst damage);
Guns that could be added: Double Barrel .700 Nitro Express to Heavy, MG42 to Heavy, .500 Magnum Revolver (5 shots) to Heavy, M99 or M82 .50 Caliber Rifle to Heavy, Kriss Vector to Light or Medium, CZ Skorpion to Light, PP Bizon to Light, LWS Seecamp to Light, etc. Go crazy with new guns.
anyone saying "keep Sword where it is" doesn't actually think Sword is in a balanced state. they're just butthurt over playstyles that express any skill other than hitscan aim. it should be more than obvious that current Sword is easily the worst Light weapon

The nullifier could be replaced with a nonlethal high pressure hose specialization tool that does knock back calculated based on the weight of the objects. It could be used as traversal tech to if shot on terrain and has a limited amount of bursts. For using this against players, the hose knock back should be so that the light has to use a certain amount of charges to push the enemy away to a satisfactory distance.
It accomplishes the same goal I can assume the nullifier was meant to do which was allow the light to put distance between them and the enemy.
Things I'm trying to find solutions to rn:
This would be overpowered in its current state. Alot of maps I remember have alot of death pits, so a pressure hose user could just end any battle by mindlessly knocking them off into the void. Most players don't really know how to adapt to a situation like this and it would probably make people not want to play.
My current ideas would be to:
- Shorten the effective range of the hose
- Make knocking back enemies as an offensive tactic a highly expensive and risky undertaking
- Design the tool so that targets have a chance to react after being blasted once
This would probably ruin the mood of the finals. It doesn't make sense to have a non lethal riot weapon(high pressure water hoses have been used as riot control) be added after introducing Alfa Acta, the company that has established the world's preference for extreme violence.
The light already has a few items that accomplish similar goals to the pressure hose, but the hose has the advantage of being spontaneous rather than a premeditated action. Would replacing the nullifier bring diversity to play styles or would it just amplify existing complaints?
ngl if sword was 124 dmg per lunge EVERY SINGLE WEAPON WOULD BE BALANCED. if that were to happen, there would be no need to nerf or buff any other weapon

Mantling is wildly inconsistent and doesn't seem like it follows where you aim which feels off. Same goes for ladders which break your neck and pull your camera to the side which feels really bad on mnk and causes some extra losses in gunfights

Dear Embark, I like your game modes. They seem pretty cool. Obviously I donāt know much about private match. And Practice mode is very eh. You only have three āone minuteā practice mode with the practice range being thirty minutes. But thirty minutes of doing what? Shooting NPCs that doesnāt shoot back? I feel, you can do more.
May I suggest Solo play? Itās not exactly private match. Itās solo play against NPCs based on your skills. When I first started, The Finals is literally my first game that throws me into the fray. It was very intimidating and intense. Iāve lost track of the amount of times Iāve died against the amount of times I survived. Iāve lost more matches than winning them because I halfass things. I had no clue what I was doing and practice mode for the shooting range is sooo boring and eh. Solo mode would help players like myself improve our skills. We buy a new weapon but we have no idea how to use it? Welcome to solo mode. It will do more than introduce us to the new weapon while helping us improve our skills. Obviously the experience wouldnt be added to the real game experience in quick play, world tour and ranked cause weāre fighting against the pros worldwide.
In Solo Practice mode, the only experience we gain are the skills we build up to better ourselves against the players. Also in Solo mode, NPCs would be chosen at random based on your skill set. If your team gets wiped five times in a row, get together and fight in Solo mode or private matches in order to figure out the issue and grow better as a team.
Iāve lost count of the times Iāve died because I literally had no idea what I was doing. Iām at level 20, but I still have more chances to learn and better my play style.
The Finals was my first. I donāt have anyone helping me play in matches, so Iāve had to learn. And Iām still learning. I still make mistakes but thatās a very normal thing.
Embark. Solo play mode against NPCs that actually shoot back. Please.

please add a left handed option or animation packs, I know it would only benifit about 12% of players but that's nothing to scoff at. the peak player amount on steam during the last 24h was 17324, meaning you would appease at the very least 2079 players. with the game on 3 consoles and computer that's bound to be a lot more than I could quickly calculate with steam numbers which don't grasp the true daily player count [since it only counts the peak players]

It'd be nice if we got a more optimised mantle. If I have something in my 180 peripheral and I jump it queues the mantle. This 0.8 second downtime when you are unable to do anything other than ascend can cost you a fight. Movement is amazing in this game otherwise and it's not the biggest problem in the world I just wish it could be streamlined to become more intentional 
UI updates I would really appreciate:
Match History of at least 1 game/tournament, including all rounds. And the ability to look back at all the players from a game or tournament.
Right-click flyout menus in the social UI. Like what we have in the outfits UI.
Custom colors for the UI, especially enemy team colors, friendly team colors, and the background color (yellow).
DMs for friends so we can set up to party after their current match.
More precise info about friend's matches- round and placement in addition to time, so we can estimate if they'll qualify.
Only sort of UI related, but it would be nice to have the option to join more than 1 club.
Not sure if this is just me but voice chat keeps cutting out for me and my friends after a while and sometimes even mid match. Maybe needs some improvement?
Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. Theyāre idiots whoāve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.
It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.
Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they donāt use doesnāt require skill.
The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying ādonāt use this weapon.ā Itās a death sentence. Itās the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Lightās low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.
And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isnāt even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.
Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state.
The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.
Embark, please make it so that VRs are used for stuff other than buying equipment, let us exchange it for stuff on wheels when the ticket period is out, or better yet, let us exchange it for multibucks, just something for those who got everything unlocked and have a hoard of 5k VRs sitting, doing nothing
The new stun gun is great. Itās really easy to turn those 2V1 situations to your favor.
But, can you please get rid of the reload animation for it⦠itās way too long, you basically just get punished just for using it.
The reload animation was good for the original stun gun but now it really cripples it.
And also allow us to use it on our teammates. This could can be really helpful for us lights because this is a really good support item we can use so we can keep our team alive while theyāre getting healed by the new consumables or healing beams. It wouldnāt be overpowered because they canāt damage or be dealt damageā¦

Once again asking: never bring back the wheel. It pretty much guarantees you have to spend multibucks, which Iām fine with, but donāt pretend like we can get it all for free.
Also it feels so broken. My second and third tickets were both dupes. May be just luck but everyone hates that feeling, and people donāt like playing games that gives you feelings you hate.

just remove the centre pellet on the model and buff the pellet damage up to like 15, the centre pellet is the reason people complained about its range (probably not entirely accurate)
Change the Sticker Placement on the Stungun/Nullifier

This game has a lot to improve and the wheel is the last thing.
IMPORTANT add a mini overtime while holding a steal on a cashout. no point in even contesting when its half way there. this will make the game more dynamic and fun especially end game ````add a EMP burst gadget for all characters, removes mines and removes any gas clouds or fire in the area while temporaily turning off turrets (by resetting start animation) ` ```
Matchmaking in WT is atrocious. It is stupid and unfair that if I solo queue I can still get matched against diamond premades. Spawn logic is still fucking awful, after getting wiped we spawn 20 meters away from another team. ||Remove Kyoto from WT map pool, the map has nothing going for it beyond being based on real locations||
lockbolt is the most annoying to play against, unintuitive ability in the game. shit needs a change, like at least lowering the amount of dmg to kill it or movement abilities like grapple, evasive dash, jumpad, or zipline need to be able to get you out.

Buff sword so hard that the people that wanted the nerf know what an actually op sword is like (then nerf it back to its original pre-nerf state).
These last updates have been taking the game to better direction! Especially the training arena update. Would it be possible to add random movement for bots? Also can you make glitch mines target gadgets like turret or jump pad. That would add a nice twist for fights.

With heavy you can pull people close to melee range with winch claw or lockbolt them in place, dome shield to prevent their bullets from damaging you and go wild with the right click, medium doesn't have anything of the sort that restricts movement or provides defense in an area (aka zoning strats)

I think honestly that the devs should look at the Pike right now. In lower level elo the gun isnt used as much and isnt complained about as much. However, in Higher elo, the pike is oppressive. You cannot push cashouts depending on which one it is. They are able to hit you for 50dmg from any range, can a close rang gunfight, and the amount of ammo it has allows the weapon to not really have a single downside.

Evasive Dash is sometimes quite annoying to play with how much you get stuck on things you should not get stuck on, and how many things stop you that intuitively don't make a whole lot of sense. To fix this, I'd like to propose a few quality of life changes
-give Dash a small amount of arena damage which would allow a player to dash through railings, light furniture, boarded windows, and other map assets that can be broken in one melee hit. I've never understood why this wasn't the case in the first place, as I've yet to find another fps that has both a quick dash ability and railings but doesn't allow the player to dash through them.
-allow Dash to boost up small elevation changes. Nothing major, maybe walls up to somewhere around a third of the player's height. There have been so many times where I've dashed into a part of map geometry about as big as a single step in a staircase and have been stopped in my tracks anyway because of the way the ability is coded to interact with the environment, which can be pretty frusterating and presumably unintended
I don't believe these changes are substantial enough to impact the game's balance or state at all, just make an ability slightly more forgiving in environments with lots of clutter and variation

The ks-23 needs 100% accuracy, any other buff is pointless
The ks-23 is the only direct hit projectile weapon that is not afforded the luxury of accuracy which is the main reason its suffering. In concept its great and i love the gun, but anyone who has played it for any significant ammount of time knows that its main point of frustration is its unrelieability. Because of the spread targets beyond 8 meters are a gamble to hit. The feature inplace to make it a skillful weapon is already the projectile, however this is ruined by the spread. You can predict your targets movement, lead your shot correctly but still miss because the game decided your slug goes left.
The only buff the ks needs to be good is accuracy. Buffs like range falloff or firerate wouldnt solve the underlying issue of it being frustrating to use beyond 8 meters, headshots without accuracy are pointless, damage is going to force winch ks back which was not very fun to die to. A bigger projectile would maybe work but decrease the guns skill expression.
Even with 100% accuracy the gun would be far from op due to the small mag and bad ttk. However it would be a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating to use

Based on this, I have an idea for a new gadget that will control the movement of the enemy. Meet the BLACK GOO. Unlike white goo, this substance will remain as a puddle on the floor, walls or ceiling. When an opponent step into this black substance, his movement and running speed, as well as his jump height, decrease by 50% or more. Gadgets such as "charge" heavy and "dash" light are completely blocked or their effectiveness is significantly reduced until the player moves beyond the reach of the black goo. Black goo can also be set on fire, which will turn it into a kind of pyro mine. In my opinion, this will bring an interesting variety to the already familiar lodouts.
A variant of using black goo:a grenade or grenade launcher for light, a mine for medium and heavy. Also can consider using a canister for medium or heavy - the player takes the canister and can pour the black goo himself where necessary.

- Matchmaking is terrible and drives new players away, some version of SBMM its required, at the very minimum solo players shouldnt play vs premade squads.

New weapons have been crazy cool in this game. KS 23, minigun, cerberus. Keep up cool new weapon additions in future seasons. Still think there could be an african safari season where heavy gets a double rifle chambered in .700 NE. could also give light a Skorpion SMG and medium something idk lol.
embark pls change the way world tour is next season, it's just not a casual mode anymore it's getting as sweaty as ranked since these full time players who play all day wanna get their emerald skins before the season ends, I think it's better if the emerald skins were more casual like have some challenges to do in world tour or some missions to get more points instead of getting points only when u qualify which makes people play sweaty all the time
Goo barrels are almost unpredictable. Doorways are the biggest problem, because the Goo is often developed in the direction from where it was thrown. Sometimes only two Goo balls are developed, although it was not blocked. Also rarely, Goo is developed in the room below. This makes the use of a Goo barrel very difficult.
Okay, huge idea. How about we add a cooldown to how soon an enemy can get nullfied? Losing a fucking match because two lights Nullify you and steal the cashout isn't fun or engaging

don't nerf xp. don't bow down to the anti light mob. They will bitch and moan till light has no good weapon left. XP45 was bad last season and one more damage didn't make it op it made it viable.
I'd rather see some buffs for the culled weapons: lh1, sword
and maybe have another look at the arn and especially at the 93r. Both have really slow ttk. To a point where i'd rather have the akm on the light class than those two.
Right now there are a lot of anti light (especially two tap) weapons in the game so i think it is ok for light to also have good weapons.
Also can we address how much CC heavies have now? Fighting a chain hook heavy with lockbolt is just plain annoying. At least goo gun is an ability that requires some skill.
Nullifier is a good iteration but clearly designed to have literally zero value for 1v1 engagements. I think if it had a very small slow factor like 20% or less then it might be a bit more useful outside of team engagements so i can escape from pesky enemies. Alternatively let me shoot myself with it maybe with a cost of 2x the cooldown.

93r less time gap between bursts and slightly less fire rate of burst as each burst is so quick it might as well be on bullet being fired and buff damage to compensate for lower and manageable fire rate.So u can fire slowly to make it more accurate or keep firing it like an auto so u can switch between the two and u have flexibility.
Make dagger alt have one tap/click like before plus u can hold.
Ks23 need one wall penetration with lower damage after hitting the wall for balance,it needs slightly faster projectile speed and 1.2 head shot multiplier(mainly to deal with other heavies with minigun)
Flamethrower needs to put walls on fire when continuously firing as a defensive measure with low damage.

It is very hard on the new peace center map to see where i am getting shot from, the clutter is a lot
But why though, why pick sword and get into melee range just to do what every other light weapon does except worse. You dont have burst, you dont have sustain, youre crippling yourself by limiting you to melee range which SHOULD give you a massive advantage, but in actuality youre at a neutral matchup in the only range where you can damage your opponent

I would be fine with a smaller nerf but I donāt think reverting it to a generally underpowered state is healthy. Gun needs something on the 93r to be competitive, right now it has ttk and a slight range edge for ~40m+, but thatās pretty much it. 16 damage would remove that advantage and they would become almost the same gun, except 93r would have better burst, reloads and hipfire. Canāt just remove that factor without making it inferior

This is an FPS that has/had broken melees for while now and they're intending on launching into Esports next season. Look at how daggers were full health one shotting from the front registering as a backstab. Imagine if stun had been back in the game already? I never said anything about fresh content having to be melee, I merely said melees themselves are typically fresh. Another point I made was that the fact that melees are being nerfed is bad, because having an unviable weapon in a game is not fun for people who want to play it. I agree dagger was bad, but that was more of a bug that I agree should have been removed, as dagger is still decent. I don't seem to remember a time where any melee weapon was dominant, and I agree it can and has deterred new players, yet I also believe making weapons like sword a throw pick to downright unplayable is not the answer. Here: Sword should be brought back to 140 lunge damage, as the breakpoints for that level of damage make heavy and medium matchups more bearable. Deathmatch timer is WAY to short. If one team gets an early lead there's no hope of a comeback cause there's not enough time. The timer should only matter if the match really drags on like 8-10+ minutes

Why does health regen all the way in Terminal Attack. When was this changed and why? Also instead of giving us 3 guns a seasons how about we get like 10.
The XP-54 is basically the buzz light lightyear on the shelves meme in it's current state. It is seen WAAAAY too much in games because the stat gamers can't control themselves. If I had my way with it, I'd nerf the bodyshot damage dramatically and bump up the headshot multiplier to 2X, so that it's headshot damage would be equivalent to exactly the same as it is now. This would make it so the rubbish players shamelessly trying to net-deck will be punished as they dont land headshots, but the actual good players will have a deathlaser to play with.

Constant nerfs have stripped Heavy of its identity. it may be strong in coordinated high-rank play, but it feels frustrating to use and no longer excels at being a destruction class.
- C4 2 or 3 charges, the charge has a bigger hitbox (to be easier to hit), less thrown distance, no longer explodes when you melee it, instead it simply gets destroyed,
- RPG remove almost all damage, both to you and the enemy, it now instead pushes people away from the blast impact, so it can be used as some pseudo rocket jump, add 2-3 spare rockets, each one regenerates after 60 seconds, the destruction capabilities remain.
- Goo Gun, add option to throw goo in a 3x1 Line or 2X2 patterns, No reload, it now has ammo that regenerates with time, instead of having infinite ammo.
- barricade, if there is a small obstacle like a pot plant the barricade should push it away instead of being impossible to put down. it should be easier to place down in general but I understand you dont want it to block walls entirely.
- HP regeneration begins faster AND it regenerates back to full in less time
- Lockbolt, no need to reload, when the cooldown its over you can simply use it again.
- New gadget, Bear trap. it traps people that step on it for a short duration, minimal damage, the player stuck can still shoot and use gadgets, but CANNOT be displaced.
- Minigun should have reduced spin up time, the damage per second does not justify it to take that long.
- KS should shoot and reload faster
- flamethrower, more range, less direct damage, MORE AMMO, more afterburn damage, secondary attack, airblast? maybe? please?
- MLG needs a rework, this weapon can never be good without being frustrating, Maybe you can Make it a specialization that shoots different types of grenades (smoke, gas, explosive)
- all Heavy weapons should do more structural damage

THE FINALS WORLDBUILDING FEEDBACK:
The lore truly could have more notorious characters.
We all love Scotty and June. And they are a great example of charismatic characters.
But the lore could go further than that...
The sponsors and brands are okay-ish.
But there is a limit on how relatable they can be since they will always have a bit of that "sterille corporate" feel.
That being said... Why limit yourselves to just commentators and the sponsors when you could do some** insane WWE level of writting for this gameshow**?
My personal recommendation is adding characters that were legendary former contestants, with excentric and crazy personalities.
This would give the lore more relatability and meme potential... And its also cool af š
I'm gonna be flamed for this but coming back to THE FINALS and seeing the balancing strategy that Embark are pushing is kinda making the game just another average shooter in the sense that they seem to prioritise "gun" play. The community seems so locked on to the fact that they just want guns and whenever interesting weapons say such as sword etc are actually fun to use and have been for 5-6 seasons straight until they somehow got a nerf only now makes me wonder if people want a game with only guns or actually interesting weapons that you have to learn how to play around and can represent a broader variety of players.
I await the hate comments and the people who just want "gun" game.

Basically, make the game more than just a "gun" game. THE FINALS, at least for me, was a game that seemingly invited a diverse variety of players, allowing them to play with various weapon types. Not saying to nerf guns but make other weapons more appealing.

monthly reworks, just like the stun take gadgets commonly seen in negative light or even just out of place and rework them. Iāve suggested glitch trap and barricade to be the first two months (Iāll list my thoughts on them next)

glitch trap, instead of making it a constant deterrent of fun give it the treatment the aps got early on. Basically make it slightly bigger and give it a health bar, when tethered to a single enemy itāll slowly take dot dmg (bursts of chunk dmg would work too). You could also introduce a speed up on the health decay depending on how many players itās tethered to. Another route would be a cooldown system, basically it glitches enemies and goes in a short cd.

barricade. Everyone hates how barricades have placed ever since the original size increase. Instead of having the full barricade be placed give the set option to place panels ( pull out gadget, click place and hold while looking in the direction to place the panels). Allowing you to place both smaller and wider barricades. The gadget would now have a ā10 countā of panels with a decently long cd for each individual panel, also give them a small timer after each place so people canāt just spam them to get out of situations.

add in a perk system thatās chosen randomly every game, kind of like a constant, less chaotic halftime. Stuff limited to each class (applies to all of that class per game) but also one for each class (heavy medium and light all get one every round). Stuff like heavies explosives having shockwave, medium getting an extra item, or lights having a double jump. These would be more class altering instead of arena altering.

make the menu less cluttered, almost every new person Iāve invited to play doesnāt know what half the stuff does, why do we need everything in the player button in the top right if itās also spread out across the Lock Screen, why do we need 3 different pass system each having their own opening button straight on the opening screen. Just some new player Qol stuff. Probably wouldnāt go well but maybe add an opening screen customizer for players so they can choose what they want to see.

stop making gimmick weapons worse, as the game progresses it feels like a lot of the fun chill weapons thatād be funny to use have lost that sparkle to them. Now itās just automatic gun or youāre seen as a thrower
Overall Iām just suggesting making the game a lot more creative with these things, itās not that the game feels stale but that itās lost what it was originally seen as. Which is a gameshow.
I think nerfing the xp54 rangewise would also help the ARN shine since in like 90% of the cases you're better off using the SMG because most fights in the game (cashout mode) more often than not end up being close combat to midrange (except some outliers)

The game is amazing and I feel it has huge potential. I think one key area to focus on would be player retention and the learning curve. It might be helpful if the developers, or people they hire, could provide dynamic guides for new players. Also, trying to keep matches balanced so that new players have enjoyable experiences would make a big difference. I heard there's going to be a big tournament at the end of the year ā with good marketing, I'm sure a lot of people will watch, since the gameplay is visually very appealing. But I do feel that focusing on the learning curve, match balance, and incentives to retain new users is crucial. I truly want the game to succeed because itās so different from anything else out there

Can we get a firefly pet (essentially just a small green light above your shoulder)? Also please dont change minigun, its like perfect where it is rn. Maybe also consider removing gameshow events from ranked modes because they can negatively and unfairly affect balance. They can stay in quickplay, but i know a lot of people hate dealing with them when trying to win. I'm also going to keep emphasizing a railgun for heavy, its like the last big thing (weapon, specialization or gadget, whichever) besides a double barrel .700 NE that i want to see in this game lol.

xp-54 is balanced embark, the other weapons are just too weak. It's clearly impossible to balance both light in rank and light in casual. So balance them separately
Light has like, xp, arn, db, and potentially matter as viable weapons
Heavy has minigun, hammer, shak, deagles, m60, sa1216
Medium has fcar, famas, pike, cerberus
While it seems like the classes have a similar # of meta weapons, you have to consider that matter and db and xp and arn play very similarly. Please add more variety of meta weapons to light, such as the lh1 and 93r

World tour point system needs a rework, getting 6 points for getting into round 2 is insane.
Realistically getting 3rd in round 1 should net you 3 points then second and first should be 5 points
Second round 3rd place should get 5, second and first should net you 10(these all stack with the finals round results) winning final should net you 30 points losing should net you 20
so all in all in round one you come 1st you get 5 points, in round 2 you come first again you get 15 and in the final if you win you get 45 points. ATM the point system just feels meh this is me spitballing btw if you've got better solutions i would love to here it.

Would love to see some improvements in cashout and eventually ranked i feel like if you pull it in and hold it the money should gradually be given to you this will lessen the blow of 3rd parties and we can remove this plug meta its just a thought but i do feel like cashout needs something new its current system is meh imo
Would love to see a system in ruby lobbies/diamond lobbies where placing third makes it so you don't lose any rp so it just gives +0 this would alleviate some pain in losing hours of ranked points in 1 match.

Smoke nades need some downside currently they have no counter besides thermal or any motion sensors but you can only cover so much ground with them, maybe fire or gas should counter act them.

Cerberus is very unique it should have its fire damage be the brunt of its damage, every pellet should start fire damage but its overall pellet damage (that isn't from be fire) should be nerfed probably round to less than the model so 10 per pellet whilst making the fire damage do 20 the first shot then 35 then 50 to offset the lose of immediate damage give it a few extra meters of range
Famas might need a slight recoil adjustment to make it less easy (currently the best ar by a mile) and/or a damage nerf the current nerf didn't do much
Additionally would love for clubs to be expanded upon, we have contracts for clubs i would love to see a leveling system giving players a unique cosmetic for reaching certain clan levels, club contracts aren't the only thing that should level the club up playing and winning with club mates should increase rank (not as much as the contracts but should still impact the level)
Might just be me but playing light without stun gun has been great as it frees up an extra slot and makes it so i can experiment with other gadgets without feeling like a big detriment to my team play (would love for it to either be not a guaranteed pick for high level lights kit or removed completely) i feel this way about defibs as well as they trivialize resing and fights most of the time plus them and movement are instant picks for mediums kits in high level.
Any fixes for the no sprint no shoot and constant sonar bug in the works ?

I think it would be cool if we were able to renew our contracts somewhere down the line. Realistically, it will currently take me 6 months to get the rewards from the other sponsors (I signed with engimo) so now I have to wait another month before I can even START grinding again. Would also be cool with it just being a way to "renew" your contract on completion. It's kind of lame, but it bothers me knowing someone will always have more engimo stuff than me, and I will always have to wait AT LEAST 90 days to even touch their newest stuff, assuming they even come back next season. This could even be a "contract renewal" event that occurs alongside the mid season patches in the future.
I think its really fun gameplay when I spin the event wheel and get my 3rd ticket piece in a row, my 4th overall, and then roll the free spin into another ticket piece. This is very rewarding as a gameplay loop. /s

Love these ideas. As a heavy main, its so difficult now with all the nerfs. In WT you will see 3 stacks of triple M or triple L that devastate all other teams, but you wont see triple heavy because theyll just get demolished after all the nerfs. Devs pls give Heavy some love and attention

PLEASE improve soloq by matching players based on the class they have active at search time. Solo I almost always get matched with all lights, and if I requeue too quickly I can get paired with them again 2, 3, 4 times in succession. It doesn't have to explicit, but use it to weight the match to at least try to get a variety of teammates.

Here's a little review of the grenades
Frags, are fine, maybe decrease its cooldown by maybe 5-3 seconds and it might be a bit more appealing in competitive play.
Flashbangs, after the buff, Flashes are pretty good at their niche, it's hard to fight a good flasher
Smoke, Embark, something happened to smoke after the 6.6 updates. either you shadow nerfed it or made some rework but smoke right now is not working. I can see enemies straight through smoke and they can see me. There needs to be some sort of team code that intensifies smoke values towards enemies while allowing specifically the person who deployed the smoke 5-10% more visual clarity.
Gas, alright, gas is arguably the weakest grenade type in the game, it does not deal enough threatening damage to stop enemies from taking routes, only providing point defense on cashouts. It also has 4 counters being the still relevant Cerberus, pyronade, pyro mine, flamethrower, and flame barrel. Even collateral burning goo can do the job. I would like to see a test of having TWO gasnade charges, and/or increasing its duration by 1-2 seconds.
Glitch, buff is fine, fills the barrier counter niche perfectly fine.
Sonar: anyone who has not played the buffed sonar in season 3 is suffering from a skill issue. Sonar is in a good spot.
Pyro, its... a little weak, maybe reducing its cooldown by 5 seconds would make it better.
Goo, alright, goonade is really strong, basically a barricade for any class. Strong defensive and stalling, burns in 12 seconds which is more than enough time for a steal. Very short cooldown in comparison to other grenades. I would actually nerf goo grenade back by making it a 4 by 2 grid or a 5 by 2 grid depending on how you want to balance it (if you revert goo back to 4 by 2 then make the barrel back to being 6 by 2). I personally love using goo but I can recognize if something may be too strong.
(All of my nonclass locked grenades are level 5)

Embark I think whoever damages a player before they die to either falling off map or from their own grenade or grenade launcher should get that kill and it be with whatever killed them too. I've got someone 1 shot and they fell off the map and I didnt the kill, but also been dominated in a 1v1 and my own grenade launcher kills me and they got nothing and I feel bad.
That's a pretty standard system where last player that did damage is credited when someone dies to a hazard.

Bring back bank it, but this time differentiate it from TDM. You messed up bank it with the shorter respawn timer, the removal of team wipes and the closer respawn distance. Revert those changes and it'll be different from TDM. In europe I know of at least 4, almost 5 50 player clans who played bank it almost exclusively, safe to say I haven't seen any of these people log back in this season

the m11 kills an enemy sooner in close range compared to the xp54 and also has 40 bullets with a faster reload
it's just that all the other guns on light have no range or are gimmicks or were nerfed to the ground so the xp54 has a high pick rate
I'm once again asking that the matchmaking system gets reworked, going against 5 stacks of emerald/ruby players and having players below level 10 on average is just beyond frustrating, i shouldnt be forced into playing premades just to have a half decent game of power shift,

And because of you not advertising the game, the playerbase will not grow. Every lobby i played in WT in season 6 were full of high level players or cheaters or smurfs. That's makes it hard to make throught rounds couse only people that left in the game are high level players and cheaters, and we don't get nothing for trying hard. It's just waste of time with no fun and no points earned.
And that the only people left in the game, high level players, smurf, cheaters and people who played game before and wanted to come back. But the skill level had rise since they last played in season 1-3. Making it hard for them to keep playing the game
Make rewarding in tournament modes MORE FAIR. This game modes require A LOT OF TIME, to get to final round we spend 30 MINUTES this is TOO LONG and all we get is only 14 POITNS. We are not streamers who can spend 7 hours every day for the game. We have other things in life such as job and playing other games. The points we get didn't change since season 3, and it's the only meaningfull activity left in the game, but it's getting repetitive to play tournament modes, the playerbase will not grow, so treasure the remaining playerconut and make it that the time we spend in the game is worth it and fun.
Advertise the game, drop cool lore cinematics, drop the cinematic with cool player interaction, show what you game offer with destruction

Hi guys, somehow my 1660 super really isnt working as well as id expect. I am currently experiencing fps drops of up to 100 and it is really irking me. Any suggestions on how i can resolve my fps issues? currently on low settings...
Embark, please make it so that VRs are used for stuff other than buying equipment. Like I can think in the top of my head things that can be exchanged for VRs:
- Let us exchange it for stuff on wheels when the ticket acquisitions period is out
- Let us re-roll and/or buy new contracts
- Let us boost BP and/or Sponsorships
- Let us exchange it for multibucks (this is the most ideal, obviously)
Even if the exchange rate is lop-sided at the very least its something to spend on. Just something, anything, for those who got everything unlocked and have a hoard of 5k VRs sitting; doing nothing.

VRs should be reworked in a certain way. Bringing new friends in only for them to realize they have to grind the heck out of the game just to have a chance to compete against meta loadouts is a real bummer.
Weapons should absolutely cost half of what they are right now, unless its a brand new season weapon, until their price gets cut next season. You could also use VRs to reroll challenges more often, as some of them can cause extreme frustration (forcing you to play specific gamemodes or make specific actions like prevent cashout steals).
In addition to battlepasses returning, I think it would be a great idea to return past FREE items that were acquired through challenges, LTMs or community challenges using VRs on the same shop battlepasses will be available at.
Missed out on the dissun helmet or the smoking guns cowboy? You can get it for 2.5 or 5k VRs respectively in that shop.

It was never great to begin with due to the high skill gap, and I believe that if you put that time to perfect it, you should be rewarded. Please bring the fun back. It went from rarely seen, to never seen.

I do agree a lot. People that never played the dagger do not understand the difficulty of the weapon. Hitting a high moving target, on the back, else your like 80% of the time dead.
On the opposite side you have double barrel that can one shot light in one click, and is much safer than sword or dagger.
But also loads of weapons on meds or heavies are killing faster than a dagger (If you would load the whole right click + quick melee for an heavy, the heavy would have time to kill you twice without headshots with almost every weapons)
the difficulty versus reward is not inline imo...

Hi, I am a colourblind contestant. I have Deuteranopia, which for those unaware is the red-green deficiency. I really appreciate that the team has considered players like me and added accessibility options, but unfortunately applying them puts me at an active detriment to my teammates.
Naturally the majority of players refer to team colours when communicating in-game. This works nicely because it is quick, simple and easy. Just saying what you see. Unfortunately for colourblind players like me this isn't always easy, and to make matters worse applying the appropriate accessibility settings changes the enemy team colours to completely different ones, meaning I am often calling out colours that do not exist on my teammates' screen.
An effective fix to this issue, in my opinion, would be the option to change the SHADE of each colour assigned to the enemy teams, as well as my own. For example making my team's shade of blue less washed out so that it stands out from the enemy pink team more. If we could have sliders for each team in the same way that the custom crosshair feature is implemented, that would be pretty awesome!

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. Theyāre idiots whoāve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.
It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.
Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they donāt use doesnāt require skill.
The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying ādonāt use this weapon.ā Itās a death sentence. Itās the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Lightās low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.
And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isnāt even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.
Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state.

Cerberus: it's still very strong, i get the idea that something that you must be close range to use, must be powerful because you are up close, but medium has enough tools to get close to you fast and has enough hp to not get killed immediately if he is in the wrong spot. So make it have less range or bigger spread or both. If you dont want to nerf its damage, which i understand, make it need more skill and make it harder to set someone on fire.
XP-54: I mostly play light and i do not use it because of how incredibly broken it is. At it's current state, it's better than the ARN in any scenario and competes almost head to head with the m11 up close. Make it have more fall off damage, and bigger spread in range (more skill as i said before). And maybe make the recoil of the ARN just a tiny bit easier to control. The xp obliterates anything if you hit your shots in close range, because it has the same dmg as the arn but more rpm. And since its so reliable at mid range, whats the point of using the ARN? Change it so the xp will be better at close-mid range, the ARN will be better at mid range and the M11 is better at close range.
defib: instantly resing someone mid fight is too strong, fair. But right now its use is extremely limited. What if you keep the same functionality but you can only use your speicilization. There is no specilization that can instantly inflict damage. Light has movement, medium has utility and heavy is the only one who has access to aggressive specialisation. But he is the slowest and easiest to hit. And he spawns with half hp, so defibing the heavy mid fight wont help much. Also, more often than not you spawn with a half loaded weapon, so having ways to escape or help your team in small ways does not sound bad imo.
I have a very controversial light idea:
Light is currently entirely themed around having incredible dps and stealth capabilities to drop on people. It has lost its identity as the movement class because the gap between medium and light in movement is too small. I think they need to completely overhaul the way light plays. They need to lower the damage on all the light weapons down to the dps that other classes achieve, making light less annoying for casual players ( and crybabies) to fight. This would absolutely gut light class, so they double down on light's movement capabilities. They give grapple two charges, and evasive dash gets six, allowing for more diversity in playstyle, while the lower damage reduces frustration to make up for that. Cloaking device would suffer from this immensely, so it would need a buff, or they could give it a really small one and just remove thermal vision. This would cement light as the actual movement class in a way that medium can't replicate, because medium really steals everyone's thing and needs to not be the best at something for once.

monthly reworks, just like the stun take gadgets commonly seen in negative light or even just out of place and rework them. Iāve suggested glitch trap and barricade to be the first two months (Iāll list my thoughts on them next)

glitch trap, instead of making it a constant deterrent of fun give it the treatment the aps got early on. Basically make it slightly bigger and give it a health bar, when tethered to a single enemy itāll slowly take dot dmg (bursts of chunk dmg would work too). You could also introduce a speed up on the health decay depending on how many players itās tethered to. Another route would be a cooldown system, basically it glitches enemies and goes in a short cd.

barricade. Everyone hates how barricades have placed ever since the original size increase. Instead of having the full barricade be placed give the set option to place panels ( pull out gadget, click place and hold while looking in the direction to place the panels). Allowing you to place both smaller and wider barricades. The gadget would now have a ā10 countā of panels with a decently long cd for each individual panel, also give them a small timer after each place so people canāt just spam them to get out of situations.

Stuff like heavies explosives having shockwave, medium getting an extra item, or lights having a double jump. These would be more class altering instead of arena altering.

make the menu less cluttered, almost every new person Iāve invited to play doesnāt know what half the stuff does, why do we need everything in the player button in the top right if itās also spread out across the Lock Screen, why do we need 3 different pass system each having their own opening button straight on the opening screen. -remove terrain destruction from Terminal Attack and remove all equipments mainly used for breaking walls. Make the mode it's own unique thing with a more tactical, less chaotic twist.
-add a 1.1x headshot multiplier to the shotguns, they are currently in a weird position where nerfing them below the stk breakpoint makes them useless, but keeping them above makes them overpowered. So keep the damage nerfed, but also make it so that if you're close and accurate enough to drop some of the pellets on the head you can get to the pre-nerf stk stats.
-allow equipping a 2nd weapon slot in exchange for 2 equipment slots, and another specialization for 3 slots. This would make the game more appealing to players who prefer other genres and give a utility vs. flexibility choice for everyone, and open up more build variety without ruining balance.
-focus on adding more specializations and equipments instead of weapons, they define and affect the character builds more.
-add a battle royale mode like Hyperscape made up of all the other segmented arenas from other maps combined into one
-add some barrel modification for guns that affect weapon range, damage, recoil or accuracy to sacrifice one or more for another or vice versa.

Interesting, the damage nerfs couldnāt be too big and sword (yeah yeah broken record I know) would be brought to 110 to help fight lights without making it too fast strong and fast for mediums and heavies. I think cloak should be given a duration buff then, and/or give a speed boost while cloaked. Or you could just nerf mediumās movement instead of creating a massive class rework. Cool idea nonetheless!

I think that one of the most beneficial things that could be done for the future of the game is a rework of the RPG. Instead of dealing 100 damage, it would only do 35. However, now all heavies would get 2 rockets (wouldn't be able to use back to back quickly), and since people only use them for arena damage anyway, it would basically be the buff to heavies that we all want. Heavies are already the strongest class in the game by far, and this little tweak would fix this entire season, balancing all classes to the same level.
For the wheel, I do find it tedious that it's entirely RNG based, even if you play every day(most people don't get everything in the wheel, I never have). Thoughts on making slots for partials(5-6 partials instead of 4), but the partials actually give you a guaranteed reward. Doing that or making everything an insane amount of VRs per reward(scaling for rarity), rewarding you for actually playing the game could be nice too. As said, I find it kinda dumb that you aren't rewarded even if you play all 3 tickets every day.

A lobby where people list public or private rooms would help player retention & community engagement. Especially if you are going to move unpopular modes to only private matches. Which once implemented; Terminal Attack should be moved to aswell. That way people can form groups within the game much easier & encouraging more club growth, etc. Speaking of Clubs; they should be able to go against other clubs in an official mode to earn ranking for that club. Additionally, I think in WT it should be tested only earning the amount/time you hold the cashout for. Finally, an explorable hub kinda like Splatoon would make the game feel more like a gameshow. I imagine a central area showing a hologram of the current top players, a building for gameplay, shopping, customizing, etc. You could interact with friends outside of games, show off outfits, explore, etc. Ofcourse the player could just fast travel to each thing too.

The first whee.l felt nice bc u couldnt get a dup so it made sense to keep players engaged to play more to get those tickets. then they introduced the duplicates and IDK WHY ITS AT 4 DUPS = 1 TICKET. I was at 8/20 and got 5 dups in a row, including the redeem of 4 tickets. This is not fun and we shouldnt rely on luck if Im logging in every day for the rewards. It shoots down commitment and the event evolves in being useless. Remove the wheel or dont give us free stuff.

These 2 gadgets are the yin & yang of the finals. One sends an opponent to the nether and the other brings a teammate back.

I've gotten Kyoto 7 times out of maybe 11 matches today, please add an option to opt out of going to certain maps cause my pc can't run it. As well, maybe some tweaks to the XP-54, maybe make it less of an assault rifle and more of a super close range smg? Dunno, just something to think about cause that weapon is in every game and every player knows it cause it's the strongest in the whole game.

Reduce respawn times and health regen in the casual modes PS and QC. Imagine getting shot by a sniper a million light-years away or random gas chunked 3/4 of your health. Now you gotta hide for 20 seconds waiting to heal up. Of course a light stumbles on you and shreds you with their smgs now you gotta wait an extra 30 seconds to Respawn. Then your team gets wiped adding more downtime. This isn't fun. Not everyone wants to be a streamer that's why we play casual modes but this is not casual
Also the game has the worst footstep audio in industry I'm sorry to say. I can sometimes hear my teammates running behind me but enemies are whisper quiet and can sneak up behind me with a flamethrower. This combined with the previous issue makes the game extra frustrating.

I know its been said many times but the wheel is very flawed. I get more excited to get an expensive item off of the wheel rather than something I want because if I dont get it I have to buy it later. Both other wheel events I had to buy my way to the end despite getting every possible ticket. During Valentines Day I had to spend over a thousand Multibucks on stuff I didnt want to get the grand prize because I was missing two lengendary items. The wheel needs some sort of change to make it worth earning the tickets for. Past events gave free outfits but the wheel can rarely ever deliver that without you spending money.

Nerf CL back to where it was.
Nerf defib:
- Either limit it's pick rate per team to prevent 3x Medium defibs or lower the defib health regain for Medium as a deterent.
Buff Riot Shield or change it's mechanics.
Buff dual blades, or change their mechanics.
Bring back KS and other animation cancels for specializations.
Add a grenade indicator.
Put glitch mines on Light or Heavy and nerf them. Maybe have their do a burst of glitch, not a consistent one.
Overall, I believe this game is suffering from Medium's current style. It is designed to be able to do basically everything combat-wise, which is ridiculous. You want to snipe? Medium can do it. You want to melee? Medium can do it. You want to use a shotgun at close quarters? Medium can do it.
I understand that Medium is meant to be a Jack of all trades kind of deal, but it should be capable at most, but a master at nothing in specific. Instead, it's a must-have for sweats who want to optimize everything, and they get the best of both worlds because of how Medium currently it.
Medium can perform support duties:
- Healing
- Defib
- Mines
- Turrets
Medium can perform movement duties:
- Zipline
- Jump Pad
- Demat
Medium can perform combat effectively and indepedently with it's variety of weapons.
- You can have 1 person for long range.
- 1 for close.
- 1 for mid.
Medium is the problem in this game because it has essentially nill drawbacks, BESIDES area destruction... which can now just be substituted with expo canisters and grenades. Change how Medium works, stop freaking out about Light and Heavy being too strong, they both have very noticable weaknesses, while Medium really doesn't (other than destruction). It's infuriating seeing the 3x Medium meta, and it's even more unfun to play against. You made 3 classes for a reason, make them all a viable choice, preferably being LMH instead of a 3x of ANY CLASS.

Wheel of Fomo (Treat Hunt, Wheel of Love, Wheel of Trust, etc.) needs to never have a comeback.
And if it even is considered to return, because let's face it it's a predatory wheel to get people to spend money on credits: (1) all items should be also purchasable with VRs (2) more tickets should be awarded daily (3) less ticket parts for an "additional" ticket (4) items must be guaranteed to appear again.
LTM events that aren't in WT need to at least count towards the QP progression. I like the event but don't wanna play it cus I feel I'm just wasting time
Dual Blades needs a slight fix to its reflect. Reflecting is heavily dependent on what the opponent is using, as reflecting does not recenter the bullet; it rather keeps the spread going, often making weapons with high spread impossible to reflect back (shotguns, smgs, etc)
I used the double barrel for the first time a week back, also keep in mind I donāt really play light much. I got the most kills out of everybody. I think the double barrel should be nerfed but I donāt know what to suggest without it being gutted. This is a tough one to balance, but I know you can do it Embark.

I get that the loyalty tiers are meant to incentivize coming back to the same sponsor again, but I'm really salty that I picked engimo for the first time and missed out on the other stuff. If alfa acta comes back next season I won't even be able to get their new stuff. If you haven't picked engimo before it's literally just the objectively worst option, but I was new to the sponsorship system so I just have to wait till next season. Stuck with the goofy sniper skin because I wanted the fishscale arn skin :(
The 3v3v3v3 design in its current form does nothing but encourage playing like vultures, and even often rewards the team that dies first in a third party situation. We've all both done it and had it happen to us: Your squad gets wiped early on, but by the time you get back you get to clean up the remaining team and get basically a free cash out. Or, you're the team getting cleaned up.
The way the Cash Outs work is also a part of this. Since the majority of the reward comes from owning it in the last moment, there is no real encouragement to fight the defending team early on. Wait to third part at the last moment, or take the team fight 3v3 in that last 35% or so in order to deny them a chance at coming back.
A way to help with this would be to gradually reward half the Cash Box's value to the team currently in control. Meaning that, for the sake of simplicity, a 10k box would give 5k over time to the controlling team, then 5k again at the end. If it gets stolen partway through, the new team starts to earn the cash remaining from that initial 50%. No more plug bonus as well, which will hopefully encourage teams to stick together better instead of one person bailing for a couple grand.
This encourages taking fights more aggressively so as to not give the defending team free cash. It would also mean that even if a team gets cleaned up after fighting off two other squads, they were still rewarded for doing so.
They should also experiment with the last cashouts being un-doubleable.
If a teammate leaves during a ranked or World Tour match and the remaining two players still win, the leaverās points should be redistributed to them.
For instance, if each player earns 6 points for a Round 1 win in WT, the two remaining players should split the leaverās share receiving 9 points each * (6 + (6/2) ).*
Winning with a leaver is significantly harder and currently offers no meaningful reward, while the leaver faces only a minor 2-hour ban. This change would give a little compensation to those who stay and fight to win under tougher conditions.
obviously pre-mades wouldn't get this benefit to avoid people leaving in purpose.

It took you 3 seasons to nerf the M11 that was plaguing quickplay to a balanced state and then at the same time you take the already balanced and good XP and turn it into a more potent weapon than M11 was. It's like a sick joke. Surely you can see the weapon usage stats and it's win rates in 1v1's. I had 6 light xp54 players in my quick cash game today. I was just waiting for the game to end so I could get my event ticket and log off. It's not a fun weapon to go against or use cus it's so broken.
Also you ruined some basic things that were perfect as is. Saying thanks whilst dead removed with dpad gadget config and ascend and descend in death cam now interferes with ping button on controller. Are these just being ignored?

Oh another week of not playing since the sword damage hasnāt been changed back. Why reduce the lethality of a weapon while not making the character more survivable. Might as well remove the sword from the game at this point so i uninstall

I have encountered a visual/gameplay bug(depending on how it's supposed to work) with KS-23, after starting reload from empty loading 1 slug and then canceling reload it either does redundand animation of loading 2nd slug from beneath the weapon before grabbing it in hands or it does animation of loading and doesn't give 2nd ammo for use.

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. Theyāre idiots whoāve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.
It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.
Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they donāt use doesnāt require skill.
The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying ādonāt use this weapon.ā Itās a death sentence. Itās the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Lightās low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.
And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isnāt even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.
Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state.
The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.
TO ALL SWORD PLAYERS:
Just melee one extra time. For light, just do the normal hit instead of qm.

Delete difib from the game, make Light class less damage dealable and more team helpable. Make Heavy tank role(less his damage, but do more survilable)
the sword lunge being overused was a left click problem not a right click one, imho.
the right click gave you movement options and bigger damage while the left click was good for beating a potted plant to shards while your teammate watches.
that could be easily fixed by giving them separate jobs in a fight, the right click should be high damage and high mobility but no phantom strikes, and an idea i had for the left click is that it should do the equivalent of minecraft's "sweeping" instead where it's the only attack on the bat that not only is able to but actually makes it easier to hit multiple targets. even with smaller damage it would still prove as a way to signal the other team to either gang up on you and risk being sweeped or to split up and risk being targetted
my main annoyance with the sword nerfs is that both the damage and the movement got nerfed, i wouldnt have an issue with the sword having a 100 damage per lunge if it had amazing movement again, and that's your only option if you consider this:
- buff movement, nerf damage - doesnt make the sword seem unfair to people that play against it and yet actually gives a fighting and fleeing chance in multiple situations (against hook or dash lights with guns, anyone on barely higher ground and heavies at a distance it's a death sentence without good movement, and the same goes for normal matchups where you yourself use cloak or hook - the sword needs to provide great movement all by itself so people can actually run it as a weapon and not shape their entire loadout around it even though they should be able to hence the damage nerfs to not make it op)
- nerf movement, buff damage - it's just another heavy hammer. i wouldnt mind it as a separate weapon on light but that doesnt really fit the class and kind of overshadows the dagger
- nerf movement, nerf damage (exactly what you did) - "DO NOT use this weapon if you like this weapon you should be ASHAMED we'll be taking it out of your pay"

So you guys made around 10 INSANE dagger skins with EVEN MORE INSANE unique inspect animations. There are sooo much brutally good skins that its just a tradegy that you have to pick one every match.

Sword is still viable. But the skill ceiling has been lowered while the skill floor has been increased, and itās low damage unless you use it near-perfectly makes it not worth it anymore.
i mean it's not like you're forced to buy it, it gives people options if they're going for full black military fits, which is what this set intends to provide, i mean sure some of them were a tiny bit lazy but recolours allow people to fit different colour schemes into their setups with items they were previously unable to do so with
spawns are still an issue, cashouts spawn way too close to each other, encouraging griefing, whilst vaults spawn 200m away from any cashout but 100m within the next vault. Kyoto is horrible to play and spawns are one of the reasons why.

SR needs adjustments. Make the nose sqopes way less accurate and update aimdown sight animation more similar to what it was in bc2 when using M24. So that the animation is so quick that you can actually qs but to prevent that mindless nosqope spam

Cheaters are spreading all over the game. A lot of wallhack and aimbot.
**Servers need an improvement fast. It's still boring to die behind a cover because your dash do not register correctly with the netcode. **
The META is full of Medium and Heavy + the Nulifier is a piece of junk.

- Too many bug recently. Servers are worst and worst. I die behind cover more and more. I can't write after I reported someone
- Why in WT, lose in final round against a tri-stack squad when I'm playing solo ?
- Add "step" in the reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completly reset.
- Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. Servers can't register your movements
- Perma ban cheaters
- Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section in game please.
- Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
- Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL and unfair for Light. Movement are cancel and they only got 150HP
- Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
- We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
- Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
- Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends and recent players.
- **Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match. Like "only M and Dual Blade", "only Light and SR84", "only marksman", "No heal, Light only and grenade only". You can imagine all you want and put it in private match for streamer and their community to make the game more fun **

- CL40 revert the buff. It's just in every game and it's not fun at all.
- You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash
- CB01-Repeater is just stupidly OP. Nerf the damage
- Buff Vanish Bomb and make it start regen instant and/or. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !
- Nerf Turret range.
- Nerf proximity sensor range
- Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR
- Nerf the range of the KS shotgun. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
- Nerf PIKE to 48 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.
- LH1 nerf was to strong in 6.0. Buff it to 45 dmg.
- Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
- Nerf the hammer like you did for the sword to 100, because > Winch + Hammer + Melee = Free Kill. Same with chains.
- Revive and Objectives score should add additional points in ranked
- Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
- Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
- Winch and lockbolt shouldn't do damage.

The grapple hook keeps pulling u in a wall unless u cancel it but it would be better if u could stick to walls for a few seconds and u can aim and shoot but it's for a limited time to avoid camping,maybe even a wall jump from the wall u grappling to.
With how powerful minigun is the flamethrower to set areas on fire but u have to keep firing at that area for a long time,it's more of a defensive option as u r busy firing areas rather then enemies,also the flame range should increase the more u continuously keep firing plus it takes the whole mag to do that then it's empty so it's balanced,all of this takes time commitment.
The 93r time between burst is weird and not fun to use,make it so there isn't a gap or less time gap between burst and u can slightly nerf damage since u r increasing fire rate but the damage fall out is longer so there is a balance since due to recoil u can spam it long/medium range.
V9s isn't fun to use and zero reason to pic over xp and M11 so to make it better it could have perfect hipfire accuracy like counter strike and it would be a unique niche

I appreciate the novelty of certain weapon skins being the time limited ruby/emerald skin. People undoubtably would be upset if you made previous weapons available, but to be honest Iāve missed some season reward gun skins that I would love to have. I propose we switch this system to a currency or token.
When you finish emerald or ruby, you receive some sort of currency to be able to spend on whatever weapon or gadget you want. The novelty item will remain the sticker/badge you receive, but to incentivize pushing higher than just the minimum requirement for these ranks, add specification to the badges (emerald 1 season 6, rank 200 season 6, show the exact number you placed in ruby) this way people have more drive to get the prestigious skins that are within the game at any point they end up playing the finals, rather than missing out on their favorite weaponās season. Youād have to frontload a lot of work making skins for every gadget/gun, and there is another half of the argument that having another currency in the game starts to feel a bit predatory⦠but as long as you donāt allow people to pay to get the currency to unlock the rewards youābe got yourself a much better system thatās a lot fair-er to new/returning players

Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. Theyāre idiots whoāve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.
It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.
Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they donāt use doesnāt require skill.
The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying ādonāt use this weapon.ā Itās a death sentence. Itās the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Lightās low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.
And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isnāt even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.
Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state. 140 dmg.
The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.

The underlying issue with Demat is that while it can be used to help the team move around the map, it's more often used in a very selfish way. HB is the true team-oriented spec but it's just not good enough to be worth picking over Demat in most cases.

Doing the current event gamemode/future event gamemodes should give players incentive to actually do them. Like grant bonus rewards like VRs, XP, or just something in general instead of playing the normal version of the gamemode. Like for example, theres no incentive rn to do close quarters aside from trying out the new map when you can do normal TDM and get rewards there for leveling your quick play rank

idea for a breach charge skin: similar to c4 tnt skin but just one stick instead of a bundle for the breach charge cuz its smaller y'know
it would be nice to have more stairs and ziplines in the close quarters maps. as it stands, the only way to get on top of most of the buildings without relying on movement abilities is by using very slow ladders (ladders that really don't fit the pace of the game to begin with in their mechanics, even in the slower modes, and basically turn you into fodder the second you try to use one) or parkouring from one of the few buildings that actually have ziplines. because of this, high ground is overly strong on these maps because those positions are very easy to defend once there, and can be very difficult and frustrating to attack without part of your loadout being designated to vertical mobility, if you even have that option (sorry heavy players). by extension, util like grapple, bounce pad, and zipline are also very strong and, like previously stated, almost required to use if you want to play on the map freely without feeling like higher areas of the map are either overly limited or completely inaccessible more often than not

My headcanon lore for the Tablet used in ThermalVision is that the Medium took the Tablet and hacked it into a Datapad, enabling material shifting and dematerialization. However, I donāt feel the ability's differentiation is communicated clearly enough to the player. The Tablet often feels like an instance of asset repurposing rather than a meaningful addition to the game or its lore. This is because the Datapad occupies only about 15% of the screen and is displayed for just a few seconds during gameplay. Players tend to use their abilities as quickly as possible, so the 15% of the image on the Tablet often goes unnoticed. I think repurposing the Tablet asset is fine if the asset itself conveys more of the story more obviouslyāsimply changing the texture of the picture isnāt enough, as itās not in view unless the player actively inspects or looks for it.
I would make the medium's tablet have unique deployment animations that are "glitchy," play audible whispering or static computer noises (kind of like how dematerialized walls do, or whenever reshaping objects) and than give the pad TabletPad Protective Covers or other colored skins so that players can personalize the different abilities in line with their own immersions.
If we have bugs happening to a large majority of players, then the player base should be reimbursed for missing out on events. This is the third seasonal event that halfway through its event has had a patch that has ruined the playability of the game with an Exception Access Violation error that turns out is the result of the dev team possibly not testing patches before release.
It's ridiculous that regardless of the mass amount of suggestions to fix these errors, it turns out most of the time it's on the devs side to fix these broken patches, I remember last time we had EAV errors it took three to five tries to get some to most of the people back in to playing the game and now it's also being seen on Ark Raiders as well.
Whatever these EAV errors are they aren't being labeled properly and don't help anyone to list suggestions on a fix since it doesn't tell us anything if the info isn't public knowledge on how to fix it to an exact point. The EAV errors are getting bad enough to where they don't even have a serial number and it's just a bunch of zeroes.
Please for the love of God, test your patches on whatever release firsthand before you knock out 1/5th of the player base on a platform and provide them with zero reimbursement for trying to tolerate this issue for a third time.
Please note this isn't meaning to be insulting or threatening, I just want the game to not be plagued with this specific error that ruins seasonal exclusive events for a large majority of people and they can't recover or get anything after they've missed their window due to a bug.

@scarlet jackal after the SA damage nerf it takes 3 shots to kill a light, which can be done from about 7 meters in just under 0.7 seconds, the double barrel takes 2 shots to kill a heavy from about 5 meters in just under 0.8 seconds, the only time the heavy loses here is if they get caught by surprise (in that case the light should rightfully win IMO)

Honestly, next season I hope we get a new spec for both light and medium, and a new weapon for heavy. I was looking through past season additions, and it looks like we hardly ever get a new weapon for all three classes at once. There's usually one or two new weapons, a new gadget, and maybe even a spec. Right now heavy has the most spec options, so giving it one as well wouldn't make much sense. Light and medium both getting one would make sure they all have the same amount of specs, and we just got a new weapon for all three, so it's not like it will be too bad not getting some next season. I also feel like specs are just a lot more fun than weapons as additions. Specs affect your playstyle more, and because weapons are your primary source of damage, having something to combine with them leads to a much more diverse set of options. Also, light is the only class that hasn't gotten a new spec since launch, so I just really want to see something new.
Lol, you never place 3 shots on light to do that. Pellet spread wider than L player model, so to do so you should be somewhere around 3m or closer. And since H have only winch for close distance - db clearly wins here.

Embark you damn near got the light class fairly well balanced but then you buffed the xp54 for no reason. Please revert its last buff as it was completely fine with -1 dmg to now and with slightly less range. Heavy and medium are balanced well enough and so will light be with this. I think it's clear that XP is a source of frustration. Make the gun fun again by reverting its last buff. Current xp makes the game call of duty.
I got recommended some videos talking about the state of world tour, and how it was being treated as competitive and yara yara... i think a quick and easy solution for that is to remove the ranking system from it.
Keep the rewards, the coins, the skin + misc at the end... but remove the ranks, no more emerald, let that kind of stuff for competitive. People who play competitive are after ranks, something to show that they are the better player, adding that to WT was bound to attract the wrong audience...

Need the positional audio for teammates' pings from AR, I never missed a ping over there but I always struggle to find the pings on the screen / in the world playing Finals. Different color HUD indicators for each teammate would also help a ton.

So my main concern as a ranked player is even with the changes made for this season. Gameplay is still heavily influenced by top seeding teams who can easily wipe out everyone. What I've noticed is that if I even remotely play good or show that I am competent at the game, I end up getting griefed out almost certainly. Like I could be in second, good enough to qualify, and then the top seeded team ends up doubling the cashouts, letting a bottom fragging team steal, and defending it from us in order to get an easier final round. Now just from my own point of view this seems like a very difficult thing to counter if I were a dev, so I can understand why it can't just be fixed. I just hope that something is in the works for that cause I literally have to tone down my gameplay just to even qualify with the matchmaking I get into. Literally the strat when queuing with those types of lobbies is to have your team bottom frag and get let in. At least thats how it feels in 80% of high elo lobbies. (Thats my take on this whole ordeal and I am totally down to here other peoples opinon on this.)

Goo & Flamer main here. The ADS is used to microadjust movement near ledges because it slows your movement. Particularly good on some cashout spots where you want to fall off the map and catch yourself (and later the cashout box) with Goofolding (Goo Scaffolding). Crouching also has a similar effect, but in tense scenes it can cause disaster by sliding off the map, lol. Flamer ADS is still a good part of the kit just for that movement nuance.
I was playing TDM and my enemy team has full of light players. Alright, i'm not opposite of liberty of every players to choose their gadgets, weapons and specializations. But this team was spamming smoke grenades, flash grenades and used XP-54 while activating therman vision. If you can kill one, their friends gonna blind you with flash or smoke to kill you and everyone near of you easily. Both grenades need to reduce it from 3 to 1 and 2 to 1. You kill a player and his cooldown will not value after the 5 seconds of respawn. Thermal vision was a good gadget from every season. Slowly, light players are discovering to use it to get free kills like stun gun was in his prime. Also i know, XP-54 is the main weapon for every light this season, so i don't know if light players are priority for game standard in season 6 but this weapon is insanely desbalanced. Stable recoil, more ammo than FCAR, almost same damage than FCAR but this weapon have one of the speediest fire rate. You can use it with no skill and win a fight vs other classes quickly, i know light players must to be quickly, but is a joke if you are using another weapons, too mucho ammo and you will need only 24 bullets in the body to kill a heavy, FCAR is weak in XP side. Reduce damage, reduce ammo or increase bloom and recoil, but when you are making a meta, you meed to care about how this weapon will win vs other weapons. I don't blame players, I'm blaming the game for doing this so inconsistent.
Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch
Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 , increase spin attack damage to 120 or make it ramp up damage eg: 115, 125, 135.
KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23
Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit
R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 Ć 1.9= 142.5
Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70
CL-40: increase shell capacity to 6
AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose
ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

Sometimes I mash the attack button cuz, well, melee, then I suddenly need to deflect something, but the blades still register my previous mashing instead of my current deflection request, even if the previous attack animation is already over, and it starts attacking yet another time
Very impractical on a dog water weapon like this, please fix it
And increase swipe speeds on normal attacks because it's annoying always hitting only 50% of your swipes because everything moves so fast in this game

embark pls change the way world tour is next season, it's just not a casual mode anymore it's getting as sweaty as ranked since these full time players who play all day wanna get their emerald skins before the season ends, I think it's better if the emerald skins were more casual like have some challenges to do in world tour or some missions to get more points instead of getting points only when u qualify which makes people play sweaty all the time
Increase the damage of the Dual Blade's final slash to 140.
Currently, the final slash deals a pitiful 70 damage, which is pretty much useless considering you deal way more damage with just two M1 attacksāand you have to go through all the other hits just to get there. It would also add a new break point to heavy, begin able to kill him in a full combo.
Also, introduce a new mechanic for the Dual Blade called "Stamina."
If the player has stamina, they take no damage while deflecting with incredibly high accuracy. If stamina is completely depleted, deflect accuracy drops significantly, and the player starts taking 50ā60% of the incoming damage.
You could place the stamina counter where the bullet indicator is on the UI, so there wouldn't be any need for a special new element. (ARN already has two counters, so I know it's possible to add something like this.)
This would help preserve the uniqueness of the Dual Blade's deflect mechanic while also making it more viable as a frontline option. With the increased damage on the final slash (because let's be real, it's useless right now lol), it would also become a deadly weapon at close range with a lot of pressure powerāwithout being too overpowering.
Healing beam needs to be thrown off the meta for one season at least. Frustrated at triple medic teams

Overall, I believe this game is suffering from Medium's current style. It is designed to be able to do basically everything combat-wise, which is ridiculous. You want to snipe? Medium can do it. You want to melee? Medium can do it. You want to use a shotgun at close quarters? Medium can do it.
I understand that Medium is meant to be a Jack of all trades kind of deal, but it should be capable at most, but a master at nothing in specific. Instead, it's a must-have for sweats who want to optimize everything, and they get the best of both worlds because of how Medium currently it.
Medium can perform support duties:
- Healing
- Defib
- Mines
- Turrets
Medium can perform movement duties:
- Zipline
- Jump Pad
- Demat
Medium can perform combat effectively and indepedently with it's variety of weapons.
- You can have 1 person for long range.
- 1 for close.
- 1 for mid.
Medium is the problem in this game because it has essentially nill drawbacks, BESIDES area destruction... which can now just be substituted with expo canisters and grenades. Change how Medium works, stop freaking out about Light and Heavy being too strong, they both have very noticable weaknesses, while Medium really doesn't (other than destruction). Reddit is full of crazy people who say dagger is a broken weapon. Reddit is always full of people with skill issues who say other weapons and classes are OP. Theyāre idiots whoāve never played anything outside their own weapons and classes. Listening to them and making balance patches is completely ruining the game.
It is obvious that Light has low health so DPS should be high, but there is no one on Reddit who can understand this fact.
Speaking of Double Barrel, you guys from Embark lowered the damage of Double Barrel and then reverted it back. Because Light has low health so DPS should be high, and the Double Barrel is a weapon that can only be used at close range, and Heavy class has to be 2-tapped. This is right, so it was reverted. But now Reddit is crying about nerfing Double Barrel. They gaslight other users by claiming that any weapon they donāt use doesnāt require skill.
The same goes for Sword. Especially, the damage nerf of melee weapons is basically saying ādonāt use this weapon.ā Itās a death sentence. Itās the same as the Double Barrel situation. Sword relies on close range and Lightās low health, and had specific damage combinations for Light, Medium, and Heavy. If you lower the damage of Sword, it becomes complete garbage because it is not the damage that Sword should deal.
And since Light is a counter to Sword, Sword isnāt even a source of frustration for Light players. Many nerfs say they are for Light users, but almost all of them are for Mediums. Medium, the most powerful class in The Finals, has the most players, and Medium is the most popular class in WT and ranked matches. Stop gaslighting people into thinking these nerfs are for Light users.
Light should die to lunge + quick melee,
Medium should die to 2 lunges or lunge + quick melee + left click,
Heavy should die to 2x (lunge + quick melee) or 2 lunges + left click.
That was the balanced state. 140 dmg.
The real issue is matchmaking that throws newbies and pros into the same matches.
Event of the wheel of trust 100% chance of obtaining?
The Only Thing(s) Riot Shield needs:
A small buff to attack speed or damage,
Actually consistent and matching shield hitboxes with the server,
And all the glitches and bugs about it to be fixed(Thanks Embark, for what youāve done of that recently)

It would be really nice if winch loses its damage and ks-23 get +5 damage. This way winch combo will still not kill light but at least it would make ks-23 perform a bit better against mids and heavies

there are few things that come close to the high a good match provides
but to then get roadblocked, be wiped by a 3rd party, that then erases all efforts you have had, frequently in the last 10 seconds no less, makes it all come crashing down
Make it so defib sickness isnāt a thing anymore, except for a longer sickness on defib and heal beam. This would nerf medium 3 stacks chaining defib and healing while also letting lights and heavies have a better chance of survival
please add tracer bullets in the future with diffrent colors and patterns + an option to turn them off if ppl dont like it
Add kusarigama for light OR MEDIUM class,primary attacks hit like sword but alt attack is u spin the chain and blade 160 degrees in front of u and most damage ONLY where blade hits NOT the WHOLE CHAIN,itās skill based cause u hold down alt and the more u hold the longer u throw and only the blade part damages when spinning plus u can move your aim while spinning to make blade go in that direction,a mix of projectile and melee.
To simply put it,the melee alt is more like aim and shoot but use aim to move the blade and hit box.
There r two ways of implementing this,either the melee projectile starts from an arc from the left side and goes to the centre line and move as u change your aim or the projectile starts from the crosshairs and moves where u move your aim
U may change between the two using a different stance using the weapon inspection button or add more combos using that button.
Either u canāt use light spec when using alt or give this weapon to medium with a wall run gadget or else itās the most dull experience chasing player as a medium

Please consider looking into Dual Blades third cross shape attack damage. First hit (A) deals 100 total, second hit (B) deals 120 total (and is faster), the third hit (X) is slower and deals 65.
The distribution is A=50 x 2, B=60 x 2 and X=65 x 1. I see a pattern here that is just not in the live game, perhaps just oversight? Doesn't feel like it's intended
Rather than have specific rewards for reaching the corresponding emerald/ruby/diamond rank, the rewards should be tokens that can be redeemed for the skin of your choosing. Reaching additional levels within that rank will reward you with an additional token. Emerald 1 gives 3 tokens, emerald 2 gives 2, emerald 3 gives 1. That way you can still grind if you want all the skins but don't have to grind as hard if there's only one specific skin you want.
basically every class has this argument. every class has mobility tools and gun variety.
for movement, heavy with sledge and barricades/goo can get you anywhere you want really. light has gateway
heavy has mesh and dome and barricade for support duties. light has glitch nade and neutralizer.
both have long medium and short/melee range weapons too. only thing that medium has that's a bit oppressive even with the nerf is defib but that's easily counterable
Embark, power outages are pretty common in the country I live in, can you please add a button to permanently skip the hardware test benchmark? It's kinda annoying because when I click on 'skip' the next time I open the game it keeps appearing

Here is a list of weapons that need to be buffed but not make them meta in the next balance patch
Spear: enable the ability to cancel the spin attack animation, For controller players, they need to press L2 or left trigger to cancel it and for mouse and keyboard players they need to press right click, increase the basic attack damage combo to 75, 85, 95 , increase spin attack damage to 120 or make it ramp up damage eg: 115, 125, 135.
KS-23: increase the projectile speed to 500m/s, add a 1.2x headshot multiplier, increase the environmental damage so we can two shot most walls, I know it's a shotgun but it shoots slug rounds and this will reward players for hitting headshots with the KS-23
Riot shield: increase the swing speed by a little bit
R.357: increase the bodyshot damage to 75, decrease the headshot multiplier to 1.9x therefore making it 75 Ć 1.9= 142.5
Dual blades: add a parry mechanic so when swinging the blades you can hold the deflect button to parry the bullets and increase the final attack damage from 65 to 70
CL-40: increase shell capacity to 6
AKM: increase magazine capacity to 34, 35 or 36, the choice is yours on what number you choose
ARN-220: increase the fire rate to 750 rpm, decrease the duration of the tactical reload animation from 2.45s to 2.30s, decrease the duration of the full reload animation from 2.80s to 2.60s

U got a good point of dual sword deflecting stamina counter but 140 for last slash is overkill,just add a leap/lunge move as medium could use some movement tech with how slow the class is,u can barely even make use of the final slash as players run away.
The 93r needs less time gap between each burst but a slower rate of fire cause each burst might as well be one bullet as it is how it feels to play, each burst has 4 bullets.
**Yes, you most of the time will only be hitting the first 2 slashes which is exactly why the 3rd slash deserves to be 140. **
Just a quick explanation:
First m1: 100 damage ( 2 x 50 )
Second m1: 120 damage ( 2 x 60 )
Third m1: 70 damage (yes, i'm not making this up lol the slow dual slash is only 70 damage.)
The 3rd slash buff suggestion exists only to break points for heavy, since the other 2 classes you still need to land at least 2 x m1. Even if they added a leap or lunge it would still suck since it takes so long to get to the 3rd hit and the damage is terrible.
Giving it a huge burst for 3rd attack makes it more valuable, actually deadly to be close to medium, and it still gives time for heavy to react.
You don't know how lucky are with actual aim assist. I actually set it off and there's a big difference, you really need to improve to get good skills in game, don't blame aim assist
When are they removing low gravity as an event? The effect is awful and i just want to disengage for the time that it's active. No other event impacts the game as much as this one. It just needs gone

Cheaters are spreading all over the game. A lot of wallhack and aimbot.
**Servers need an improvement fast. It's still boring to die behind a cover because your dash do not register correctly with the netcode. **
The META is full of Medium and Heavy + the Nulifier is a piece of junk.
For the game
- Too many bug recently. Servers are worst and worst. I die behind cover more and more. I can't write after I reported someone
- Why in WT, lose in final round against a tri-stack squad when I'm playing solo ?
- Add "step" in the reload animation so when you climb on something during a reload, it's not completly reset.
- Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. Servers can't register your movements
- Perma ban cheaters
- Add a report option " Sabotage " in the report section in game please.
- Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
- Delete low gravity event. It's not fun AT ALL
- Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
- We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
- Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
- Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends and recent players.
- **Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match. Like "only M and Dual Blade", "only Light and SR84", "only marksman", "No heal, Light only and grenade only". You can imagine all you want and put it in private match for streamer and their community to make the game more fun **
** For balance **
- CL40 revert the buff. It's just in every game and it's not fun at all.
- You shouldn't be able to right clic sword + dash
- CB01-Repeater is just stupidly OP. Nerf the damage
- Buff Vanish Bomb and make it start regen instant and/or. It will increase survability for the Light and it can be use for your teammates too !
- Nerf Turret range.
- Nerf proximity sensor range
- Reduce the radius of the reflect of the Dual Blade or let us shoot in the feet or something else to let us counter DB when you got an AR
- Nerf the range of the KS shotgun. You can put 100 dmg at 20m.
- Nerf PIKE to 48 instead of 50 dmg. You know what you did in 5.8 with that.
- LH1 nerf was to strong in 6.0. Buff it to 45 dmg.
- Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
- Nerf the hammer like you did for the sword to 100, because > Winch + Hammer + Melee = Free Kill. Same with chains.
- Revive and Objectives score should add additional points in ranked
- Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
- Rework Sonar : Scan 5 times instead of 3 but if you don't move it can't scan you
- Winch and lockbolt shouldn't do damage.

The cheating issue is getting out of hand. In high ELO ranked, I'm regularly encountering players running with two cheaters on fresh accounts to boost others to Ruby. We need killcams ASAP. Also, streamer mode is doing more harm than good.

I use a Dual Sense Edge via Steam and I often have to input the command multiple times if I donāt input them slowly. Fix your fucking ranked system, if you have a teammate afk it means you loose and as a solo it just ruins the whole experience. In plus you canāt even be like alright Iāll farm kills or do something to avoid loosing to much points no no you get a nice -1000 points even tho it took you a whole tourney (3 games in a row) to make +1400 and all that is gone in 1 game without you having any control whatsoever on it. And you canāt even quit cuz then you get penalized and ban from playing. Iām really starting to get why this game never took off.
yeah honestly if the game detected a teammate was afk/disconnected and is not playing and you lost the game, you should lose less points and the game should tell you that your teammate is being penalized or something like that. that's how it works in league of legends, you lose less LP and the player who leaves gets penalized in a way where they have to queue 5 extra minutes for 3-5 games until the leave penalty is gone and it stacks to 15 minutes 30 minutes 1 hour

embark pls change the way world tour is next season, it's just not a casual mode anymore it's getting as sweaty as ranked since these full time players who play all day wanna get their emerald skins before the season ends, I think it's better if the emerald skins were more casual like have some challenges to do in world tour or some missions to get more points instead of getting points only when u qualify which makes people play sweaty all the time

Advanced Video Quality Settings : For example I have many Diamond and Emerald weapons, and I use the "Effects" settings on High just for the beautiful parallax effect on those weapons, which isn't present in medium or low settings, I would like to select my individual settings depending on what is worth the performance and what's not, instead of just selecting a bunch of settings just for one effect
Ability to check other players stats : At least for Club creation purposes
Main Menu/Tournament screen Pose Selector : There are multiple poses the characters can do with every weapon in the game while in the menu/tournament screen, but it changes depending who's seeing it. It would probably be better if everyone saw their actual poses instead of each person seeing a different one
Character card custom pose selection : It would be nice if we could select our poses on our contestants cards, like an idle animation or a specific frame of an emote instead of a pre-selected one

Take elements from both. Add the weekly events to ranked, even if it's just reusing previous ones that were good, like this week. Delete Low Grav forever.
Make it so that once you reach tier 3 in a rank, you can only drop back to tier 4 on said rank. So, if you're Plat 3, you can only drop to Plat 4. But if you're Plat 4 and haven't reached Plat 3 yet, you can drop to Gold 4.
Allow one swap per match in a tournament.
Idgaf if this makes ranked more "casual," it's healthier for the game to have the playerbase be more concentrated.
As for rewards, at a certain point they'll probably have skins for every weapon, so just let people pick what they want. Maybe have Emerald be gained via the casual modes. Just add it after Gold.

This game is so good, BUT the optimization is terrible. The ranked/wt early game 3-6second freezing needs to be looked into, the constant packet loss and de sync need to be looked into. Until then this game is not worth anybodyās time. Especially not competitively.
nerfing CB fire rate would only really work when not at high ranked play as the people up there don't tend to miss shots as often
