buff ideas
- m60: make it do additional damage to meshes, barricades, foliage and can eventually eat through walls. I want to feel more like rambo
- lockbolt: have it slowly draw in whoever is caught towards the center
- flamethrower: add a little bit more dmg at ultra close range
So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.
In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.
PLS ADD WALLHACK SPECIALIZATION THAT WAS ON MEDIUMS FOR LIGHTS,aswell as giving grapple a second charge because although cooldown is low its still doesnt feel better alternative than dash or invis

- CL40: 3 shots take down the toughest walls in the game. (Currently takes 6, which is insane because the gun only has 5 shots.)
- Add UMP45 on medium (literally the FCAR's stats, but with a new model and animations).
- Remake FCAR as a full auto duplicate of the Light's V9S, then reduce fire rate 20% (so it's TTK's are at the bottom of current AR kill speeds), make reload speed 40% longer, and push out damage fall off ranges from 15m to AR ranges (35-37.5m). This gives medium a solid non-shotgun option against heavies and 2v1 situations (IF he can survive long enough under all that enemy fire, of course).
- Give Pike red dot sight and either cut reload speed to 2.3s or cut reload speed to 2.9s AND increase mag size to 15 rounds
- buff medium turret by making them prioritize lowest-health enemies
- give medium turret bonuses against enemies who are hit by any form of detection. Instant target acquisition/turret rotation (so they can't hide behind it) and double it's damage against them while detected (call it head shots)

- Sending Party invitations, why can i NOT see if someone is already IN a party with someone when inviting? This is really annoying and some of my friends actually removed me as a friend because they claim I am always sending party invitations when they are already in a full party? Must be fixed.
- Sending Party invitations, sometimes players claim that they receive in-game party invitations from me. How is this even possible?
- Sending Party invitations, several times when I finished playing a tournament I am suddenly not in the party anymore (I believe it is due to the "Too long friends list" bug), however when sending party invitations to the players that I played with, they later say that NO party invitation was received - this despite I am sure I sent multiple times to all players in the previous party. This issue creates a lot of confusion at times.
- When in a party, some form of information must be presented to the party members about the players location and ping, if you play ranked and you find yourself on a server far away OR in another region (server location probably based on the other players location in the party), its just destroying your rank and it also makes a big negative impact on the players perception of how much fun this game is. Please fix this in one way or another. Add a country symbol over the characters head in the lobby or a color green, yellow, orange, red or something similar. Would probably also make a lot of in-game lag/bug issues disappear.

- Cheating. It is so obvious a huge amount of players are cheating in many different ways, wallhacks, radar, aimbots etc.
When you are invisible as a light and standing completely still for a long period of time, hiding in a small pot in a far away location, and suddenly the same player that is the ONLY player that killed you in the round, but he has killed you multiple times in the round, uses the dematerializer on the wall you have behind your back and shoots you in the head. And I am not talking about one time, in one game, this happens several times in one single game to everyone in the same team, its not a random move, its not a lucky once in a lifetime thing, it happens all the time. There is even top players in the leaderboards making videos bragging about this. I have reported over 500 cheaters the last 3 months, And I have checked the leaderboards, 400+ are still playing. And when they are banned, they just start a new account under a new name. Must be a way to hardware ban these players. At least link some form of identification to the account, bank-id, passport number, bank card, social security number or something similar, why not all of the above. Then the person will have a hard time creating unlimited new accounts without actually beeing completely illegal. - As a club owner. I would like to be notified when someone in the club is suspected of cheating. I have seen one of my club members ranked score go from 50.000 down to 0 in the middle of the season. In my mind this must be because of some kind of violation. I would like to be notified as a club owner, with member names, ID etc who these players are and why they are flagged as cheaters. I do not want them in my club, to me they are just big time loosers.
Embark really need to step up. I understand we got an skeleton crew on this game because of Arc raiders, but nothing looks good for arc raiders when the finals are lacking to most basic functions and features.

- no local currency prices on ingame shop (EU will eventually force embark to change this)

- balance is just straight up bad and shallow, no depth at all
- matchmaking utterly horribe, you want equally good players in your team, nothing else. The RS system is one of the worst MMR system I've experienced
Embark is just showing they do not care about their game other than selling skins in the store. Such a dissapointment a year after release to still be in such a alpha / early beta phase.

I didn’t play season 4 because of my game freezing for 1-3 minutes after every game and as a ranked grinder I would loose my squad because people were waiting to play with my team as well the game is unplayable on ps5 if your competitive you ruined your game and it’s still not fixed I just want to genuinely thank y’all for ruining my favorite game 👍

first off these servers need to be taken care of. it seems like it gets worse and worse in each update. the desync just screams out at you when your using melee weapons. i get more and more misfires from trying to switch to gadgets than in seasons past. main gripe aside small requests for niche weapons: be able to block the charge and slam with the riot shield, the point of both of these is to punish players who get close but as a riot shield you have no way to counter the charge besides avoid them and it just feels wrong that you can block just about any other form of damage. let the KS destroy stuff faster, not really needed just more so of a small hope, it would be so much more viable if it didnt take my entire mag to destroy a wall

single player map exploration / local offline usage should be permitted. As well as 1v1 lobbies. An unused within official games but highly useful option for local games, the ability to disable timer / free for all style no objectives.

it's not a permission thing, a clientside implementation of much of the game doesn't exist
ingame profiles, match history and personal stats on classes, weapons, specs, and gadgets (which would inadvertantly create community stats data too) ALREADY FREAKIN EXISTS THEY HAVE JUST, FOR SOME REASON, REFUSED TO MAKE IT VISIBLE TO PLAYERS 😭 💀 The evidence for this is the fact that there are literally achievements that track these things, which would be impossible if steam couldnt access some type of outside data. As well as nonconfirmed evidence but high likelyhood that the devs use this data we dont have access to in order to make decisions for balancing, etc. This discord server and reddit make up such a small minority of this game with an already small player base. This game somehow has less than a skeleton crew for developers. 💀 It's so sad. The game has a lot of potential and I've never enjoyed a game more than The Finals since TF2. I, and many others, are passionate about this games success, and I'm sure the developers are too. We just get upset and angry that there's such a great game underneath the layers of lack of polish.
A lot of people, myself included, love this game and want to see the best for it. The game has been on a steady decline unfortunately.

I have been using dagger light in ranked and I would really appreciate it if the dagger had a instant ting or glimmer when backstab is charged to assist with timing it. It is unclear outside of an animation glitch when the dagger is charged.
Also please actually shake up the meta or gather usage statistics from matches, I think the community being able to see the results is important as well. I still see 90 percent of lights using lh1, Its just really boring to fight lh1 sweats, but I am not sure how the patches actually affect pick rates

That literally isnt true. The fact the game was developed, proves the fact that it can run entirely client side. If performance is the issue because of destruction physics or whatever then that's up to the responsibility of the user within an offline game or host of a local game. You can even literally search up early development footage of the game running directly within Ureal Engine, testing out various things like destruction, goo, movement, etc. Also if the game couldnt be run client side because it "doesn't exist" how would developers ever be able to use direct gameplay for testing, promotional, demonstrational purposes, etc. ?
Just a small change: the ability to switch sights mid game (either when you die or at the start of the match)
Asking for recon sense back in the game is wild. I hope they don't even consider this idea for a millisecond.

The only change charge and slam needs is ramp up damage. It needs to not do 100% damage the second you press Q. It can still ramp up quick and be used to win fights up close, but it shouldn't be a "get out of jail" card for the heavy when they're in a massively losing scenario. I've taken 100 damage what felt like near instantly before as a medium, but I feel like that should be closer to 50 on activation (slightly more than a quick melee), then the second hit is 75% of the full damage, then every other hit is normal.
This'll keep it as a good "finish off", "chase down", or "get off me" tool, but won't be this annoying "I win" button.

Please change the dual blades by removing the combo and replacing it with a flat 55/55 damage slash. It fixes heavy/light breakpoints without touching medium... Why does the third attack exist and why does the second attack deal more than the first?

I would like to keep the feedback pertaining to randomized weapon skins alive and well. With the amount of AKM skins available, it would be nice to select which skins you respawn with, changing everytime you die.

Change damage ratio from 50/50 60/60 65 to 55/55 55/55 90
Gives dual blades more offensive pressure by allowing it to follow up with a quick melee after the first set hit of hits to kill a light. Normally, this requires hitting the light with the second set of hits. This also changes the optimal combo to kill a heavy from a,b, quick melee, a to just simply a,b,c quick melee, while leaving the optimal combo for medium unaffected. Buffing the final hit damage to 90 also makes it feel more like a finisher as 65 damage is quite low for melee. -
Fix deflect consistency at close ranges
Deflect feels fine at medium range but extremely inconsistent at closer ranges, missing the vast majority of the time or just not working at all if the opponent is too close. -
Increase deflect range against melee attacks and fix deflecting hits like sword m2
Should help with consistency issues when it comes to deflecting stuff like sledge hammer, charge n slam and the like. -
Deflecting a melee hit deals twice the damage the user received to the opponent.
Deflecting a quick melee does 10 damage to the dual blades user, so the opponent would instead take 20 damage. This makes it so deflecting melee has an offensive presence as well, making dual blades a niche pick for countering melee. -

I wouldn’t mind the harsher penalties for losing compared to the earlier seasons if the actual ranked mode wasn’t a good chunk related to factors that aren’t in your control and aren’t easy to play around (especially as solo queue)
Even winning half the time feels like you just got lucky because it’s entirely possible that you just won’t get pushed the whole game due to how spawn systems work, and the other half of the time you will get third partied on every cashout regardless of the pacing of the match
I don’t even want to discuss the meta for why I dislike ranked because embark seems to be allergic to listening to player feedback

More social features, two more loadouts, lots of fixes, chat being expanded to console (along with m&kb), club qol changes like chat timestamps, randomization for skins like a random button or a random toggle for different skins every match, and so much more.

Try glitch grenade, goo grenades, data reshaper, a single shot from the goo gun... shooting them? Turrets are the weakest spec in the entire game with the longest cooldown in the game.
The only time they are annoying at best is power shift, where 3-5 can be found on or around the platform in most games. Still it's more an issue of the game not being balanced around 5v5 modes than an issue with the turret itself though.

Most unbalanced, horrible matchmaking, combination of the worst gameplay I've ever seen in around the 15 years I've been playing games. Broken guns, broken abilities, broken heavy class. Unnecessarily high limits for world tour rank-ups, this game needs remedied. In its current state it is not fun to play. If you have fun playing this game, you probably don't get off of it.

i have 10+ games straight queueing solo or duo and every single time the third player either gets disconnected or is afk and if i get lucky enough to see the guy actualy play the game its like hes not only playing The Finals for the first time but FPSs in general.

Heavy class falls into one of two categories, which is when the he is either too weak or too strong. Let’s look at the heavy too strong category first. he can be a major powerhouse due to all the “health” he gets an on top of that his weapons don’t do terrible damage, but I believe heavy is forced to play either a Lewis gun or a shack to be competitive because the reason I think heavy is too weak is because he is forced to play certain guns otherwise he doesn’t outpace the damage of his head being blown open because every other class the other two classes have guns with great headshot multipliers making it so that heavy is 350 health feels like three health then on top of the fact that he can only play a certain guns because otherwise he can’t outpace damage and his guns are either too limiting have slow reloads or take a while to wind up things I would do to buff heavy would be to increase his health to 400 to increase the range of all of his primary weapons, basically his Melee and his flamethrower, which are so niche in the game on a competitive chart and give the RPG a second shot before the cool down this comment is gonna sound more like a grocery list than actual feedback but this is all just my opinion so I’m not really sure what you’re expecting. I just think heavy is so underpowered considering he’s called heavy like I would easily trade my movement speed for more health without question. adding a cool down was the worst thing to ever be added to the menu screen

Hello! This is my first time posting here...
I'd like to suggest a solo queue feature. Matchmaking separate from general queue (where you'd get all of the above). Solo queue would essentially prevent you from matching against stacks and boosted/boosting accounts that essentially use comms and most time cover each others backs. The teamplay would come naturally from randoms playing as a team or at the very least from the top teammate carrying, but to a reasonable level, not against a stack. I understand clubs were made for a reason but I believe there is a place for solo queuers that for whatever reason, are not part of a club, don't have club members or aren't actively playing together.

I'd love to see more variety in Powershift Maps. Fortune Stadium seems like an ideal map to throw into rotation, but more generally, it would be amazing to count on each new map having coverage for all game modes.
I know that's a big ask, but tbh the vision of The Finals is a massive one and I know Embark can crush it :] Keep up the good work.
A cool mode would be a 5V5V5 cash out quick cash game mode to give the large groups more variety Another event that would be really fun is we have an event called high gravity, or we should have an event called low gravity, where instead of the gravity being really light the gravity is very high in which case bullet drop would be immense and players would not be able to jump at all so they’d have to use the terrain to their advantage or disadvantage. I believe this would be very balanced for heavy’s because in low gravity, it’s nearly impossible to get kills with a heavy so if we had something like high gravity, it would be a disadvantage towards lights and mediums, kinda like the shoe on the other foot

I think you should revert the cashbox back to when the amount is was worth was based on time left, a final cashbox can get put in for 1 minute and is worth 2k less than the first two cashboxes combined (15k vs 17k) that doesnt make sense

There isn't a method of making enemies visible past about 50m that I know of (or 30m, if it's foggy, not because the movement isn't there through the fog it's just too blurred to tell what's player movement and what's motion blur as you move), which has to be the single most disappointing thing I can think of for the game.
It's well overdue for a performance optimization pass and options to disable unnecessary high load graphics effects.

Can we add a duos mode that's 2 v 2? I think that'd be a fun little mode. Could be like a miniature koth thing with a vault that's ticking down from the start. Whoever controls it last wins the round. Best of 3.
Would take place within a small, confined area of the map each round. Think of 2v2 gnashers in gears of war, or something similar.
I think a mode like this would keep with the theme of flexibility with game mode compositions. I thought 2 v 2 would be more interesting and controlled because it specifically limits you heavily.

Hello devs, i would like to adress to someone this issue: i have been playing world tour and in the last 8 games i have been doing duo with my friend and we had 6 guys going afk, the gaming experience is ruined by that, also we have been on ranked queue for more than 25 mins and nothing, we have been playing for 2 and a half hours and we did not even pass a round!

Planetside 2 does this as well ( 4 slots... optic, barrel, under barrel pickatinny rail, and alt ammo types).
It works on similar principles to Finals as far as classes and their abilities, except virtually all guns have bullet mechanics instead of hitscan, each side has it's own unique guns and some common pool guns, and they do their math based on 1000 as the baseline instead of 150/250/350 (with specialty armors and abilities modifying damage taken and all classes have base 1k health that's modified, but in the end the light classes are still squishy, medium classes are still medium, and heavy is still heavy).
TBH, planetside 2 did Finals' formula better than finals does, except it's more of a large group tactics combined arms game than movement squad shooter.

everything you said are ways to stop a normal steal, and they barely work in smoke.
- the way smoke is now, you can see barely see inside it.
- not any team will have mines, gravity cubes, thermal... even then, mines could have been used prior to stealing.
- winch and all throwable are not effective when you can't see where you're throwing, except maybe the gas grenade
- pyro gets extinguished instantly by smoke
- sonars and motion sensors, do not show you players in smoke
- demat and dropping the cashout would not work in open spaces, where I had 3 cash-outs stolen using the smoke grenade.
so I just don't see the point of changing the smoke in anyway except nerfing its density a bit, because I literally couldn't see who's stealing the cashout while running in a 1 feet radius circle around it.
But I stand with you, on what @jolly island said. What i love about the finals is its simplicity in that matter. I hate playing games like pubg and valorant where it's either about who finds the best thing, or who manages the economics better. Not to mention the balancing nightmare, especially that games with attachments are really not balanced: whoever has the best attachment is at an advantage.
This is a really bad take. Its not realistic at all. Right now, the smoke can be buggy at times but still waaaay better that you can see atleast something if there is no 3 smokes stacked on top of each other. Way more bigger problems in the game than smoke. No-one almost even uses it in high elo

I have an Idea to Fix 3rd partying, plug meta, and last cashout being the only one that matters:
Currently, teams can be punished for wiping teams, but then losing the cashout after they spawn on top of them/3rd partying. Therefore other than money from kills (and subsequent loss of money from the dying team) they are worse off for losing the cashout.
My idea, is that for every steal, a % of the total money of that cashout is given to the stealing team. This would lower the total amount of cash able to be won after the cashout is complete.
This would decrease the amount of third parties, increase the amount of times playing for objective, and increase the probability of the 2nd seed team making the final round.
Often, one team is left to have a cashout completely for free; but through this method, I believe it will allow for more 3v3 fights in order to gain steal money. It would also reduce the strength of plugs, and the final cashout (especially in doubled cashouts). This may also prevent the 1st place team from automatically qualifying.
Loving the game at the minute but I think this would benefit ranked.

There’s just not enough players to keep the que times bearable while still being rank equal on the matches
it's already implemented. I've been testing it now.
Here are my findings regarding the smoke grenade:
this grenade has 2 phases: source phase, and residual phase. The sourcing phase starts and soon after, the residual phase starts while the source is still giving smoke. The residual phase stays for some time after the sourcing has stopped.
if you throw a frag grenade, the residual phase is completely deleted, however the source (the smoke grenade itself it seems) is blown away and starts to give off smoke in another location, but once the sourcing is done, there would be no residual smoke, since it has already been deleted.
Therefore, throwing frag at a smoke grenade in a room, can clear the smoke a bit (by removing the residual smoke) but the room will almost surely be filled with smoke as long as the sourcing phase is happening, since that source will bounce on walls and stay within the room.
As for the smoke canister:
I couldn't really grasp it, but it seems its residual phase is either very short or non existent, and the source seems to be fixed in place and wouldn't be blown away by a frag grenade. I couldn't see any noticeable dispersion between 2 canisters detonated at almost the same time, with frag thrown at the location of only one of them.
@ionic saddle world tour badges are not an indication of rank, rather only an indication of how much you play world tour. You could have a gold badge and be decimated by a bronze badge because they are in fact platinum in ranked. And you can face an emerald player and beat them, because they may not be strong, but they sure won enough because they play A LOT of world tour. So, don't send a ridiculously repeating message that doesn't make any sense.
World Tour is not ranked, stop treating it as such. Your WT rank means NOTHING about your skill, it is simply a measure to time played

The daily mission cycle ends at 4 PM local time, which makes it difficult for us to complete the missions. If we miss the opportunity in the evening for any reason, the missions reset the next day at 4 PM, a time when we are typically at school, college, or work.
We believe it would be greatly beneficial if the reset time could be changed to Morning 6 AM instead. This adjustment would help us complete the daily missions more easily in our region. Thank you! 3 am to 6 am will be a perfect time when everyone sleeps here
All daily missions reset at midnight where embark is based. Here in NA it resets at 8pm which makes it even harder to do the challenges.

Nerf LH1 crit hit.
Stop ppl from equipping weapons and gadgets while in cloak. Increase duration, and slightly increase movement speed while crouching. Add a deactivating timer, where theres an disabling animation taking place for 0.5-1.5 seconds. To encourage a more tactical play with actual thinking instead of brainlessly pressing a button and stunning ppl.
Buff CL40 aoe splash damage, but slightly nerf the direct hit damage.
Fix the Spear. Let the rod/stick of the spear hit enemies as well in the secondary attack, and not just the tip, etc.
Rework the sword. Increase primary attack damage slightly, but reduce its range considerably. Increase its lunge distance. And remove the lunge+evas dash combo.
Make it so that you have to face the back of the opponent to backstab. And stop facestabbing.
Increase KS23 critical hit (or add one if there's none, I'm not even sure at this point. Slightly increase base damage. Slightly.
I will continue to add more. Thinking of a few buffs to certain light gadgets to make them more viable for objective.
After days of research, I've come to the realization that during the early morning hours for NA, the game has AI Bots enabled. It makes no sense to me that there would be more new console players than new pc players early in the morning.
Can you disable the AI and just know its okay to be a dead game at times?

there's -no way- one player on a team of pros goes 22-0 while the other pros he's with only get 2-3 elims each while our team of 1k+ hours played ea. gets shitstomped 0-10+ by one guy. we had 3 elims between the 5 of us and i had 2 of them. we were getting lasered in the spawn, pre-fired on before we'd spawn in. the crew he was with wasn't even doing good. i'm amazed i picked up the 2 elims against the stack that i did. there's a 0% chance it's authentic.
Weapon specific crosshairs would be nice as not every crosshair works with every weapon.

U need 2400 points to get to the emerald.. just play light, use portal and get the plugs.. and u always gonna reach the finals... The final round gets you 14-25 points.. I wud play 3-4h a day and I wud get 100 - 150 points everyday, easy money! Nothing suss.. WT is all about the plugs, if u don't plug u won't win... And don't go solo q, if u can, look for some teammates, that helps a lot!
You won more tournaments per day than I play tournaments per day. You'd need to straight up win 4 of the 5 tournaments you play, and get in the finals for the last one. Every single day. For 21 days. Statistically speaking I'm willing to bet money that you are way more than 3 standard deviations from the mean tournament win-rate, and are therefore highly suspect if this is the case.
Even just winning that much, the total playtime per day that you clocked was 5x45 = 3 hours 45 minutes. Still able to know what the sun looks like, which makes this suspect AF.
But let's be more realistic. If we put your win percentage at winning 1 out of every 3 tournaments you play, you would need to play 12 tournaments per day using a binary condition (either win or get knocked out 1st round) That's 4x45mins (for the wins) + 8x15mins (for the knockout), which puts you at 6 hours of playing the game per day. You'd also still need at least one qualification, so tack another 15 minutes on that number for the qual round.
If we consider more realistically that you win 1 out of every 5 tournaments, and qualify for the other 4, you would need to play closer to 13 tournaments per day. 2x45 (wins) + 11x30 (quals) = 7 hours of playing the game per day.
And if we go further down the rabbit hole of permutations to gain 115WP per day, the amount of playtime only goes up.
Snagging 115WP per day for 21 days straight is insane no matter how you shake it. I went from being suspect to just feeling sad for you as I did the napkin-math.
Edit: LOL, you said two weeks. Increase all those playtimes by 33%... holy crap man.

Tbh, I do believe blank played that much. Blank kind of no life's games for a bit lol (as he confirmed above). You gotta remember that people with more free time, literal kids, etc, also play this game (though, even I'm sus of people's claims of always making it into the finals every round for 13 days straight, there's a lot of them).
The emerald grind really is simply too much imo. If you're "really good" or play in a group I could see it not feeling too bad, but I haven't been able to play ranked at all this season simply because I HAVE to queue into WT to get emerald. I solo queue and I'm not the best player in the world, so I'm not winning every tournament. Hell, I'm probably not winning most of my tournaments. It's a frustrating time sync tbh. I'm pretty sure the game's got SBMM that still into matches with people of your relative skill level too (with a very wide net). Even if it doesn't, I run into ruby's, people who've reached emerald, squads that are queued together, etc, making it feel like an even larger grind for a solo queue warrior.
Point is, the emerald grind feels way too grindy. While I think I'll reach emerald before the season is up, I'll have ONLY played WT the ENTIRE season, which is crazy. I've only had like 10 matches of power shift, max, and maybe 3 matches of quick cash for a challenge. I feel like I'm not allowed to play anything else if I want to get emerald, let alone start working on the ranked grind so I can actually get better at the game. It's simply a very poorly designed grind for the majority of people, I think. If they just gave WT win points for every game mode (scaled accordingly per mode), and the same amount in Ranked (if not more) than in casual WT, this grind would literally be a non-issue.
The WT grind is the most "shooting myself in the foot" issue I've ever seen. It's so easily fixable, it's laughable. But this is The Finals' dev team we're talking about. Not fixing easily fixable issues is their forte tbh.

For the game
- Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. In this condition, playing Light it's like playing a H but with 150HP. Servers can't register your movements !
- BAN CHEATERS AND TOXIC PLAYER. AND PERMA BAN !
- Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
- Let us go in practice with friends please
- Delete low gravity event. It's not fun at all
- Fix events appear in front of the scoreboard
- Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
- Add a TDM mode 5v5 in small arena
- We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
- Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
- Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends
- Patch the level up bug on weapons at the end of matches. It's been here since many months now
- Dash is trash with your netcode. Servers can't register a dash behind a cover and you will die anyway
- Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match
- More Limited Time Mode (LTM) in the game please or more XP event.
- Let us use our VR for XP weapons or other things (not from me but very interresting idea !)
- Remove the 5s leave. It didn't change anything
** For balance **
- Playing Light in your game is not fun at all. Charge, RPG, Frag nade, Model, Magnum, everything got faster TTK than anyway weapons of Light. Except SH who need to be a 3m or less WITH 150HP class
- Flamethrower make doubt about the weapon. Sometime it make so much damage + fire in short time. Looks strange time to time. I don't know what to think about it
- Buff Light survability or DPS. Light should be the DPS class but the game is always around Medium and Heavy class
- NERF MODEL. Increase spray or decrease damage
- If you don't wanna nerf the grenade frag damage, add an indicator or make them more visual
- Nerf a bit Deagle damage or range
- Nerf Shak damage a bit
- Buff XP54 damage like it was !
- NERF CHARGE'N'SLAM DAMAGE. 95 DMG is enough instead of 130
- No more dmg on hook. It's nonsense. If hook do damage, stun gun should do too !
- Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
- Nerf the right clic + Dash on Light. You couldn't dash with your sword or dagger charged
- Kill, Assist, Revive and Objectives points should add more points in ranked
- Spawn are still trash. You can wipe a squad on vault and they will respawn on the Cashout waiting for killing you. But after get wipe by them, YOU SPAWN AT 100M and MORE
- Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !
- Nerf FAMAS damage. TTK too high
- Nerf LH1. Increased the dmg fall at some meters. Or increased recoil.

I think red barreld are too unreliable

New Barrel for The Finals: A Shockwave Barrel that Presure destroyes everything in a specific radius, and that also sends people flying/blasted away and blure their vison and slow their movement, like a stun grenade. Fix the plug meta:
- Remove deposit bonus.
- Change it so that a team accrues an X% from the cashout amount for every second they are within an Xm radius of a cashout they own.
- The bonus amount you got from plugging now goes to whoever owns the cashout once it is complete.
So, for the first $10,000 cashout that would look like:
- $1,000 for opening vault.
- $0 for plug.
- $7,000 steadily earned by whoever owns the cashout and stays within a certain radius of it.
- $3,000 Bonus to whoever owns the cashout when it completes.
- $1,000 steal bonus, etc are all still there.
Why is this good? It changes the incentive structure:
- Now there is no incentive for chasing plugs.
- There is incentive for defending your cashout.
- There is a punishment for leaving it to go third party.
- There is still incentive to steal, even up to the last second.
Of course, there is a complication: what happens if a team does leave the cashout?
- the money they would have earned is burned.
- Why not add that amount to the end bonus? Because then teams could go third party, come back and steal their cashout back, and then still end up with all the money.
- So, it needs to be set up so that if any member of the team leaves the radius, the money they would be earning begins being burned.
- So, all team members need to be in the radius, but what if one dies?
- As long as all living team members are still within the radius, they continue to accrue the money.
- What if one team member dies and then coins in?
- If their team still owns the cashout then they spawn within the accruing radius.
- If their team has lost the cashout, then they spawn outside of the accruing radius.

So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.
In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.
PLS ADD WALLHACK SPECIALIZATION THAT WAS ON MEDIUMS FOR LIGHTS,aswell as giving grapple a second charge because although cooldown is low its still doesnt feel better alternative than dash or invis

I think you should add 5000 to 5 change from VRs to MBs if you want to it could be lower than 5 it could be 1 but that would mess up with the perfect look xd but it would make more gameplay time and people would enjoy grinding even more rather than looking it as a dumpster that you need to empty time to time

fix the bloody respawn times in quick cash, i just spent 30 seconds waiting to respawn only to run to the fight (which took another 30 seconds) and then get instantly gunned down from 40m away by an lh1 user and spend a further 30 seconds to respawn again
90 seconds straight of just not playing the game is just utterly ridiculous in what is supposed to be a quick play mode

I would like to see a function where if a teammate marks you to revive you see somewhere that someone has the intention to revive you and how far he is from your body, because many times it happens to me that I am not looking at the player who wants to revive me and I disappear in his face without knowing that I was going to be healed (examples of the battlefield saga).
Buff communication with community at least let us know we have been heard so we have some hope that youll fix issues people have been bringing up for months now

I am actually stoked to see what tomorrow brings, game is stale. Plug meta is old news and Finals needs to be shaken up some. LH1 nerfed into the ground please, but otherwise game needs some quality of life changes and BUFFS.... none of these nerfs reddit cheeto fingers are talking about
Invisibility is not even remotely close to overtuned, let alone overpowered. It has multiple direct and indirect counters.
- Using Vanish Bomb causes a huge AoE visual+sound cue
- Even when perfectly still it still has a visual shimmer/distortion as well as an auditory buzzing noise
- Moving quickly at all makes the visual and auditory reveals increase drastically
- Glitch Traps/Glitch Grenades/Glitch barrels will break invisibility instantly and prevent them from reactivating invisibility from either method (specialization/gadget) while in their radius (for Glitch Traps)/for a duration (for Glitch Grenades/Glitch barrels)
- Tracking Dart, Sonar Grenade, and Proximity Sensor will reveal and ping Lights regardless of being invisible or not
- Thermal Vision will effectively negate invisibility as long as the gadget doesn’t encounter one of the dozen or so bugs it has
- Even if you don’t know their exact position, hipfire spraying and/or AoE can easily nick a Light for even minor damage which will instantly break them out of invisibility, if you see the rippling, it’s even easier, literally a single bullet will do the job
- Stun Gun will slow the Light down to a crawl making Cloak/Vanish Bomb pointless to use and disable them from activating Cloak, providing ample time to easily kill them first before the effect wears off
- Invisibility is not invincibility nor is it untargetability. If they’re using Cloak, they have no mobility outside of Gateway which requires preemptive setup to not be delayed during combat, so if you know where they are because of rippling/noise/detecting them/etc, just shoot/Charge/Winch/etc them and it’ll hit them and break them out of invis.
- Play with your team, they can’t ambush you if your team is playing together and watching out for them coming, plus the Light can’t move quickly without instantly giving their position away
- Even if they surprise you, Medium/Heavy can turn around and kill them first regardless in most weapon matchups
For real as a heavy main idk how people have trouble with invis AT ALL. It never felt unfair in the entire games history, turn your volume up bros you can hear it coming from a mile away!
I will argue that some visual/sound cues in general have always been bad/unreliable in The Finals. Footsteps come to mind, but invisibility as well. That problem doesn't make CD broken, just very frustrating at times. For instance, I may see the distortion from an immobile Light very clearly, and then barely see that same Light running at me a minute later, even though it should be the other way around. Getting killed by someone who shouldn't see you or by someone you should have seen is in fact unfair for both sides.
On a whole different topic...
Please fix QC matchmaking (and matchmaking in general). Whenever playing with my friends as a duo, our games always follow the same frustrating path. We both struggle trying to win impossible 2v6 fights, because we're ALWAYS matched up with the worst possible players MM could find. Tonight, we've had a player in our team who finished a round with a whopping 88 combat score, 1000 objective score, 0 assist score, 0 kills, 0 assists, 0 revives, 3 deaths. That's the lowest I've ever seen, but it's not rare that our third player is barely above these numbers. We've been noticing this for several seasons already, and you can't convince me that there's NEVER any better player solo queuing at the time we're duo queuing.
It has to be on purpose. Why ? I wonder. If the idea is to help player retention by giving atrocious players one or two good team mates, so that they eventually get carried and win... It won't work.
TL;DR: matchmaking needs to be addressed, I don't care much about winning or losing, I do care about having fun, and having to constantly pull dead weights is the opposite of fun, even if/when I'm performing great. Losing to better players is part of the game, losing because you're constantly handicapped sucks, even more when you know full well that you could have won that round, had you been given an average team mate.
I think it would be really cool if they added a new map that is like a small lego city on a coffee table, doesn't have to be made out of lego, could be made out of paper or other arts n crafts like stuff. I can see how cool the sky box would be if everyone was on a really big coffee table, fighting for the objective.

Inconsistencies like that are just part and parcel for partial invisibility. If it was complete, silent invisibility with an actual decloak and recloak time I think it would be both more reliable to use and feel better to fight.
Light has stun, vanish, dash, cloak, and a weapon that TWO TAPS HEAVIES, not to mention the two highest dps weapons in the game lh1 and m11 (deagles with headies might be higher than m11 I don't recall), and much higher movement speed. There have been times where I've died before even being able to react with a stun cloak db for instance
Remove penalties for losing a ranked game if you're missing a player, fix the medium's revolver issue where sometimes you shoot blank bullets

the spawns on Kyoto are by far the worst player experience ive ever had in a shooter
- Stun is literally the Light wasting time giving you another chance to react before they can start damaging you.
- Read what I said above for Vanish/Cloak.
- Dash does not have i-frames, shoot them where they dash to, and everything that shuts off Specializations shuts off Dash.
- That weapon cannot two shot a Heavy standing perfectly still from further than 6m, realistically more like 4m in any actual scenario. Them having to get that close is your chance to react. Them stunning you is your second.
- Lights have higher DPS weapons because 1. They literally have 150 HP, it would be genuinely stupid if their weapons didn't have better stats than the weapons on classes with 100 or 200 more HP. 2. They don't win head-on fights even with higher DPS weapons, +100/200 HP on Medium/Heavy mean full HP M/H vs full HP L literally always favors M/H, and 3. Without better stats on their weapons, they'd literally lose even when they do ambush people.

All I'm saying is that it should be more consistent, both ways. You shouldn't be easily seen when immobile or hard to see when mobile based on... luck.
@umbral swift good points, but your opinion is a bit biased on this. I can very much tell you play the class quite extensively (but probably not exclusively).
Using the stun gun as an opener does make Light players waste time before inflicting damage, and give you an opportunity to fight back. Which is why bad Light who overuse stun sometimes lose fights they could have won, had they fired at their targets right away instead.
But you almost make it sound like Lights are putting themselves at a disadvantage when using it LMAO. A stunned target is almost immobile, can't mitigate incoming damage using movement/specs, can't flee, and has to shoot back with a weapon that's shaking all over the screen. It's not an even battle at all. That's the point of using that gadget, don't get me wrong. But you can't deny it's a strong tool if/when used right. Not to mention its ability to stop steals for a few seconds. This has literally won games and tournaments.
Also while Light having higher DPS weapons makes perfect sense for the reasons you mentioned... some of them are clearly overtuned. The LH1 comes to mind in particular, it's been dumbed down so much, while it's an absolute powerhouse at any range with little to no downsides.
Invis + LH1 + Gateway (to abuse the fuck out of the plug meta) is one of the most toxic loadouts at the moment, assuming the player has decent aim.
this is an amazing idea. i dont think most people play 2 stacks cus you usually just get a liability if you do that. 3 stacks are op. and not wanting to be too sweaty or finding a 3 stack is annoying so this is the perfect thing to add
Please make abilities weaker and focus more on skilled aim instead of getting more and more cheap stuff into the game.

I don’t understand why the devs went the direction of Ls being the killers of the team and MH are solely complements. S1/2 was better whereas MH were the killing classes and L offered support by securing kills with their team. L has been overtuned to where team play no longer matters. L should NOT be this dangerous and it’s clear as to why less and less people play anymore. IT MAY SEEM CRAZY! I FOUND OUT WHY SO MANY CHEATERS GO UNDETECTED. A friend of mine is playing on pc and their name says they are xbox right? Recently I've been coming across a lot of suspicious xbox players that are blatantly cheating however "consoles can't hack", that's right they can't. Because I remembered my friend was on pc but their name shows xbox I've checked the accounts of the accused. They are fresh with 0 gamer score no custom profile and are a few days old. So far I'm 2/2 on my theory. I've ran into suspicious players that are shown as xbox however they aren't console they are In fact cheating and are on pc.
So far I've gotten 2 hackers banned that appeared to be xbox however their xbox accounts weren't legit. BE AWARE OF THIS. THEY MAY APPEAR AS A CONSOLE PLAYER BUT THEY MIGHT BE A PC POSER THAT IS CHEATING. it's genius because no one would question a console player for hacking because it's impossible.
I really hope embark looks into this and finds out how pc players specifically pc cheaters are managing to show up in game as console players. THIS PROBABLY EXPLAINS HOW A LOT OF HACKERS GO UNDETECTED

Let me break it out for you. You came back after "a couple of weeks of marvel rivals" and you think you have a brand new observation? Well, literally nothing has changed in the game in the past 6 weeks, so either you're capping, or you like drama, or your observation is wrong.

I've been playing daily since beginning of S2, and it had ALWAYS been the case that the Ls are the DPS, Ms are the support, and Hs are the tanks. What are you smoking? And if you've been playing Marvel Rivals, you would have noticed that all DPS have the lowest HPs, and all tanks have the highest, and the strategists (healers and supports) have medium health. And this goes to any other game with heroes/classes.
"Light should not be this dangerous", what kind of effing boring class it would be if it was low health and low damage.

Since Light have non-reloading weapon, why dont Embark gave those kind of weapon to Medium and Heavy? A blowdarts for Medium, or throwing fans/boomerangs. And for Heavy an English longbow/Yumi (Japanese asymmetrical bow specifically Daikyū which is the bigger and longer variant of it), or throwing axes. All of which can be a mix of port job or re-utlizing already made asset that just need adjustment so it's not something that is from scratch per say.
A cool gimmick I can think for the English Longbow/Yumi thing that if it's fully charged/pulled back the arrow would pierce and be destructive to environments.

So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.
In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.

yeah that's how bow works yet the Light's can be half drawn and do damages, the point of the suggestion is to let Medium and Heavy have their non-reloading weapons that still have a flair for their own class; hence the envorimental pirecing and damages.
also @onyx crystal the bow profile, especially if its a Daikyū will very different from the Light's standard bows. There's also the fact its weilded by a gigantic person to help diffrenciate it.

Yes this, it's not healthy that on average there are 5 or 6 Lights in a WT game.
The movement, 40% hitbox, highest DPS, most op gadgets and annoying specializations + it has a counter for literally every thing in the game.

a couple of weeks ago they said in the patch notes that money earned in powershift will count towards some money collection contracts, but it was not clear whether it includes the achievement.
@minor notch people are split on nerfing/buffing the turret. but at the end, the turret was slightly buffed. so there is no meta. there is so many counters.
@mortal notch everybody was calling for a pike buff and LH1 nerf, to make them more in-line with each other. Not that I like the pike, but I think it's fair. they can always revert later on.
@vestal coral I only get annoyed by a 3-stack of lights, otherwise, they're not so hard to deal with.

if u used the c&s before u would know it was never a kill button unless ur a light + stupid enough to get withing a 5 meters of a heavy, also dodging c&s is not really that hard so it's skill issue on ur side

Heavies kill button has mobility, destroys walls, and doesn't take up your weapon slot. Also, people complain about light's actual kill button, stun gun, all the time.
Btw, as far as I can tell it's 100 damage for the initial hit and still 50 for the slam. So it's still an insta kill button. Sorry your combination escape button, environment destruction, cashout steal stopping, kill button deals slightly less damage but still insta kills lights. This must be really hard for you.
Honestly two weeks for this ? The so-called Event is just the same as the Halloween one so not that much amount of work to do. The new skins in the store are basically copy-paste apart from the grenades (Which is a dope skins btw only W for embark). For the "wheel of love" not even half the Items are just small change to an Item that already exists (Again two weeks...)
I guess the bugs were difficult to erase and the small QoL update is just sad when compared to the rest of the update.
As heavy main I dont get it like charge is a bit difficult to control, you need to have good start in order to hopefully hit someone. The jump mecanic with charge was fun. And again Embark doesnt understand its own game (you get tased mid charge it stops it or glitch trap or nad stops you from using charge... ). Now we have long distance weapons that do more damage... Wow they destroy Mesh Shield and now charge because idk

I got some trouble in the way of understanding the developers, when we JUST want (for example) the LH1 nerf, we got this AND the buff of another weapon, now the pike is gonna be too strong and you have overcome the problem…

Despite sniper rifle got really good buffs this patch, turns out it's impossible to shoot after quick melee because of "bypass manual action animations" I can understand why they did this, but now sniper rifle is literally useless. After pike got buffed as well - it's now is the strongest long range weapon (pike is hitscan btw, while sr-84 not). On closer ranges you're useless as well. So where i can use sniper if I cant use it on long ranges because of projectile, can barely use it on medium ranges while getting outscored by many other weapons and I can't use it at all on close ranges? I really like how sniping works and feels in this game, and I hoped for many months of this weapon recieving a solid buff to make it viable but not annoying as it was on full-hitscan. I really hope this animation change will be reverted or at least altered in some ways

Also, let the spear be able to headshot, it’s the weakest weapon right now and it’ll differentiate it from the sledge more. Other than that, keep it up embark!

Heavy just feels unplayable after this update, my health is gone before I even get a single kill and I dont even get the chance to run away. im not sure if its just the matchmaking putting me against higher players or the buffs but everything was fine before this update.

Heavy niche not powerful unfun game
nerfs are a bit too heavy imo. instead of nerfing lh1 you should've brought xp54 back to 18 damage 30mag and isntead of nerfing famas u should've just nerfed fcar recoil (in the sense of making it easier to control) and given akm 2 more bullets to give it its identity as the high damage per mag gun back. stun gun changes aren't needed either imo so don't fking overcook it. just nerf its range a bit and increase the cooldown by 5 seconds but decrease the priming time for glitch nades to make those a more consistent support tool for solo/duo players that can't coordinate as well, maybe even increase the glitch time to 7 seconds. stun is mainly good for being a CONSISTANT utility denier and helps get the important picks even for uncoordinated teams.
i'd also love to see u slightly decrease sliding friction to make movement feel a bit more satsifying and smooth.
and i'm still praying for a weapon fov slider and better server tps 🙏
in the patchnotes you referred to "listening to the community when it comes to the stun gun" but then you keep nerfing everything while the entire community complains about basically only nerfs happening since OB. i appreciate a long ttk but don't take all the fun away from guns and gadgets for "balancing purposes" if everything is the same, then everything is balanced, sure- but it's also boring af.

Another update another unnecessary nerf to heavy, nerf charge and slam for those few dumb lights who forget they can move, devs really showing they don’t know who to listen to because they don’t play their own game they can’t figure out their own game, even if it’s been weeks since they have done any balance changes. I don't get the logic behind these balance changes. all they could have done was just scroll reddit for 10 mins and with commen sense, they could just have buffed the mlg32, buff the spear, buff the dual blades, buff the akm, nerf the stun gun, buff the riot shield and everybody was going to be happy, but,,,,, for some reason, nerf the winch, buff the pike when they nerfed it for a reason, buff the sword(was not needed), and nerfed the charge n slam instead just buffing the goo gun and the mesh shield. ig this dev team just wants nobody to use heavy. If the escuse of this is "due to the win rate of light is lower the heavy" then have you ever thought of light classes having more players playing them and the majority of them are just begginers and that's why the win rate is low? The fact that they removed the bypass of manual action animations just ruined the winch/KS-23 plays, like it's been in the game since the beginning and I've been playing it since the start of S3, and they just decide to ruin this for some reason. I've been one of the few KS players since season 3 and now there's no point in playing it anymore... This change doesn't make sense for a lot of weapons, very deceived of these adjustments

Hammer is already handicapped, but they're still nerfing it. First, they nerfed the RPG, then the spherical shield, then the attack range, and then the dash and grappling hook. Almost all items and skills have become weak. At long range, you can only get hit. The range of movement is very limited, and the building ability can't make up for it. When encountering a good lightweight player, you'll be completely toyed with like a dog. Some unique gameplay styles and weapons have been removed. The Finals is becoming more and more rigid.

I feel like Model was in a decent place. Still powerful but the tighter spread made it so it required more skill to use. The 13 damage per pellet felt like the sweet spot for me.

It's not. I played a few rounds right after the patch dropped. Pike is still not viable vs AKM and FCAR at medium or close ranges.
Ok you can say what u want about other weapons but sword was horrible to use since the nerf. Both light shotguns outclassed it easily, and you just couldn't reach people with lunge when they simply walked away from you.
You were literally forced to use dash with sword if you want to reach them while they were moving, the lunge had no distance and the hitbox for it had no range. And guess what being forced to use your dashes offensively does? Gets you killed. Because you cannot dodge anymore. You know what doesn't require you to waste your dashes, is good on all specs and is just generally better? Both shotguns, the bow, throwing knives, etc. Basically any other light weapon. Meanwhile, sword had and still has hard counters on all classes.
The fact that people still whine about sword being "op" is insane. It HAS to be bait. I hate this discord so much.

Facts, anyone who is claiming that Model was "Meta" is just referring to a very specific group of Ruby players playing in a specific way. Don't balance around the top 0.01% of players
Even before the patch the model was underpowered, the only benefit it had was the ability to "peekaboo" enemies, otherwise the TTK was the same compared to the akm WITHOUT headshots (this is point plank mind you where a shotgun should have the advantage). And it has way less range, forcing you to play up close, it has a very long reload time, if you miss 20% of the pellets it requires a full another shot to kill the enemy. Meanwhile a rifle can kill in the same amount of time from way more range and if you miss a bullet or two it's not a big deal.
I genuinely feel anyone complaining about the Model was killed by a better player and was mad that it wasn't a rifle killing them. They're fine with a rifle killing them 100 times but once a shotgun does it they lose their minds.

Can’t get any ranked matches on PS with crossplay off, and WT is going the same way with too many light players. Game is dying on console. Does Embark care?

S1/2 was better whereas MH were the killing classes and L offered support by securing kills with their team. L has been overtuned to where team play no longer matters. The developers don’t care about balancing so long as their biggest player base Light players, are happy and overpowered. Fix your game and make it fun for everyone

Hey guys please be thoughtful about how the game feels before making comments. As far as weapon changes they actually are really good. They nerfed the weapons being abused in plat+ which made light a threat and medium a threat. They made lockbolt more effective and nerfed charge and slam. They also said they are going to nerf stun gun. They took all the input that most players gave and changed it.
You are honestly making a great point.
And I was saying previously that heavies are nerfed because they have higher rate of winning. But I think, the high winning rate of Hs and low win rate of Ls is because the skill issue Ls have when it comes to teamplay, while Hs are obligated to work as a team.
And so I completely stand by you that they should stop catering for the low skill Lights. Maybe give lights interesting gadget that would only help them shine in a teamplay.
For now, I think the patch is good, but I think with time, embark will have to address the obvious.
@river magnet yeah you're right. When you see that Light has the highest pick rates, you become sure that most of the "look at me" players are there. The irony about that is that they choose this class for how it's specialized in killing, yet cry like babies for buffs when they cannot get kills.

You created a great game, but then hired complete idiots to do the balancing. There is no other explanation. Either you hate your own game and want to kill it intentionally with this stupid light catering, or your balancing team/person is just dumb.

Bring things a little closer together. Right now Lights shred everything, while being insanely hard to catch if they are just somewhat skilled. Mid and Heavy are keep getting nerfed to the absolute ground. But lights mostly remain untouched or even get buffed. Yes they're supposed to be glas-cannons, but they are just way out of line. Invisibility and dashes are insanely powerful to evade death.
Every season makes things worse, nerfs all over the place, but less and less the right ones. When the game launched, balancing changes where ON POINT. But each season you're losing more and more oversight. You're sucking the fun out of this game. It seems like you're pulling things from statistics, but you read them wrong.
And since most casuals don't even get a glimpse to compete, they don't even bother about the game anymore, thus balanced matchmaking is crumbling. World Tour matchmaking is an absolute unplayable disaster. In ranked i keep getting matchmaked against full-teams of ruby while not even close to diamond. Player numbers aren't THAT bad, and if you have issues matchmaking ruby, then increase the their count. 500 isn't barely enough to be filled with all the cheaters you still can't catch. On top of that, the points-loss/wins distribution also don't make any sense when compared with my team-mates. Me with a higher rank than team-mate losing LESS points for a loss than my team-mate. But sometimes in the same scenario it's the other way around.
Not to mention trolls verbally abusing the team from the get-go, then don't play/leave/kill themselves for you to lose rank. There isn't any kind of protection system that would let us leave without being heavily punished in ranked.
Starts and Mid-Season patches are supposed to bring a meta change and balance. But they mainly look like you're unsure on how to balance the game. You're pivoting back and forth with everything, from cash out mechanics to weapon balancing. All while trying to solve core-issues that none of these basic changes could ever solve.
Then everytime i read anti cheat update in the patch-notes, the game becomes insanely easy for at least a weak. And becomes borderline hard the longer we don't have an anti cheat update. And no this isn't just a feeling, it's just so insanely obvious there's no need for actual data to understand what's going on. This game requires a drastically better anti cheat protection.
And sound. It's so hard to determine where the sound behind you is coming from. Any other shooter game i can pin-point someones location exactly. In the Finals it's always hard to determine if the sounds is emitting from you buddy running behind your right, or if there's someone else on your back left.
I'm here since Beta, and it was my absolute favorite game. But unfortunately Season 5 signed the end of this declining journey. And no, I don't have a "main" class. There's just no longer any fun to be found.
LH1 is fine , play with it and maybe you will know it's not a no skill high reward weapon aka ITS BALANCED. And if you can't counter a light it's on you.

When the pike dmg got nerfed last season, the range got increased to compensate... now we're back to 50 dmg and the range is even better than before because of said previous buff. The hipfire never got gutted eithet so it still dominates close range and now it dominates long range again. Good job embark balance team, you gave a better LH1 to a class with almost double a light's HP and has better utility. We're now back to season 4 pike meta where any medium player can pick it up and become a demi-god. Are we really that allergic to learning from previous gamebreaking metas?

take healing beam and defib out and give medium back recon sens: let everyone get their teammates up by hand b/c it’s fucking ridiculous that we’re unable to get out of a fight if our teammate hits us w/ defibs then dips out. some players put down a pad or demat a wall etc., but not having access to our gadgets and shit when our token is likely being camped is dumb (on top of us not coming back instantly like we used to in early seasons, now we gotta rematerialize just slow enough that a full trio can just stare at you then kill you again)
several players complained about quick rez and medium heals, but the healing beam range was nerfed; the healing beam capacity was nerfed, it overheats hella quick, you can barely fully heal a heavy; defibs is now worthless too. just give mediums back recon or come up with something new
Nah no way they murdered the KS23, no longer being able to pump while quick melee'ing, literally kills the gun, it was already not doing as much damage as other guns and now it's just unusable.

Why does the pike still have visual recoil man, it makes it feel absolutely worthless after moving at all. If the LH1 doesn't have it, the pike shouldn't either. It's not a balancing thing, it's a QoL thing man. A precision gun should not have such a BS mechanic attached to it that no other gun has atm.

Why is Medium becoming the most boring class? The turret needs a rework to truly honor the name "specialization" because just placing a turret and nothing more is lame. Carrying the healing beam feels repetitive and becomes useless if the Heavy leaves or your team is double Light. Sometimes, you feel the need to dematerialize a wall, but you're stuck with a healing beam that can't even heal yourself.
On top of that, the jump pad and defibrillator loadout haven’t changed. Maybe a jetpack specialization or something could refresh the gameplay for Medium.

"New values offer a fairer experience" FOR WHO?! WHO?! Is the 320 backstab-dash (which I can’t even react to most of the time) a fairer experience?! Not to mention, it has multiple dashes to try again if it misses.
Why does the V9S HAVE 20 bullets, NO recoil and less than 1.5 seconds to reload?! (while all Heavy weapons take at least 3s, meaning that they get to reload twice before I can even reload once) Why does the LH1 have enough ammo to delete two Heavies at ANY range, ADS or not—even without hitting crits—and on top of that, reduced visual recoil?! Buffed the sword again, knives still don’t have a reload animation and the sniper which is a toxic weapon that should be removed—it functions as both a shotgun and a long-range killer for experienced players, is a pain for Power Shift players and teams stuck with newbies who just watched a YouTube montage and think they’re the next star. And let’s not even mention the Double Barrel

I think I'm going to quit the game after Season 5. Every patch is mostly nerfs, going back to the beginning of season 4. They consistently fail to address some of the least fun things in the game (someone can sit invisible in a corner for 30s and then stun gun and murder almost anyone), and then they nerf winch, which isn't exactly destroying lobbies, and is already extremely underpowered against dash.
I love the game, but the approach to patching just makes me dread reading patch notes every patch. It isn't about one weapon - it's this sort of progressive nerfing in addition to removing interesting interactions (like the goo ship, or the lockbolt on cashout), as well as a rock-paper-scissors approach to design, rather than designing it so that if you KNOW what your opponent will do, you can devise a strategy against it. Most of the counterplay on lights is ONLY on other lights. What's the counterplay for a heavy vs dash? Or against someone who invises multiple times in a fight? Yes, I know, "get gud", but I feel like embark doesn't play their own game enough to see the dynamics that emerge in so many games.
Thank for you the fun hours up until now, but I don't think it's worth investing more time in this game with this approach to game balance.

The only reason the KS was usable was the damage from quick melee, I use it quite a lot and honestly, damage wise it's just not powerful enough to compete without quick melee. Honestly, now it's just not even viable as a niche pick, and that just makes me sad because I'd consider that thing to be my main gun. Just so sad.
I'm really going to miss this game. But after the most recent nerfs Its just...meh. I hope they add custom maps some day so I can enjoy floor is lava runs/ destruction competitions. But they've officially patched all the fun out of this game for me. The point was to be a high adrenaline explosion fest where anything could happen at any moment, it doesn't feel like that anymore, even on casual.

With the nerfs to Mesh Shield, Dome Shield, Winch, & Lockbolt and the Goo changes (which were essentially nerfs) Embark has removed every meaningful way Heavy had to interact with the map and objective that isn't damage-based. Heavy isn't even very good at damage anymore, because they've now nerfed RPG and Charge. Heavy's movement isn't good enough to compete with the other classes without explosive DPS potential. Without that (unless they unnerf Heavy's defense) there's no point to the class anymore. Best of luck catering to your Light players in whatever bland arena shooter you're turning The Finals into, Embark. You're absolutely choking the chaos, fun, adrenaline, & creativity out of this game and after over 1,000 since CB2, I'm done until y'all remember what made people love your game in the first place.
Yes, because that's exactly what's gonna happen. The problem with long range weapons like the pike is that it can't break certain damage thresholds. There's a reason FCAR doesn't do 25 dmg per bullet and the LH1 doesn't do more than 49. LH1 was broken beyond belief at the start of season 3 because damage went above 49. Pike for most of season 4 was broken beyond belief because it did 50+ dmg per shot so you could 3 shot lights, 5 shot mediums and 6 shot (eventually nerfed to 7, then 8, now back to 7 after the buff) heavies from across the map and at close range. Doesn't take a genius to realize the pike is back on the throne.

I don't think it'll be pike meta, but the pike is simply not fun to use with the visual recoil still on the damn thing. If they were going to buff it, they could've fixed the visual recoil issue that is solved by using on-screen crosshairs (cheating imo).

AND charge and slam suggestion. the devs nerfed the DMG because light players were getting hit to much. the problem is m&k players 360ing in .01 seconds. all this did was massively nerf controller players that cant turn around as fast as the lights are dashing, so they the need to make it so charge and slam cant turn around instantly for EVERYONE. if you keep the DMG the same but give it a turn radius then it will be more about placment and a tool and not how fast you can face your enemy.

There is an audio bug where sometimes you can get an infinite sliding and or footsteps sound stuck to yourself and your totem. Sometimes it is soo loud you can't possibly listen for player movement and the constant noise kills the whole match for me. I was really hoping to see that addressed in these notes! Otherwise I'm here for most of it! Although now scared of pikes again

Hard disagree about the pike not being meta. True, they should've just buffed the visual recoil instead the dmg. I believe it actually is considered cheating in this game (idc if it is or not tbh), but even if you put a marker dot on the center of your screen I consider it cheating personally. That's just me. I consider using outside advantages cheating as a whole. There's a blurry line between what hardware is considered cheating and what isn't, but I consider crosshairs pretty cut and dry.
People will use whatever they can to get an advantage, it's the devs job to make sure it shouldn't be an advantage. Visual recoil makes on-screen crosshairs a problem because it's SUCH an advantage aim wise for guns that have visual recoil - which is why I have a problem with the pike having it. It simply encourages people to use things that are borderline, or literally cheating.

Guardian turrets are not doing a 3s cooldown when picked up manually.
This might be my favorite channel ever just because of the sheer amount of people who basically just out themselves as people who are just flat out terrible at the game (and most shooter games in general)
If you actually think that lights didnt need a buff and should've been nerfed instead go hit the practical range. They are glass cannons and a free kill in a 1v1. "But the stun gun is a free kill" brother you have an RPG that's your free kill. I swear heavys place the biggest targets on there back and play the victim more than anyone I have ever met.
And to all the people talking about how the model needs to be back, no it doesn't. It had its time in the spotlight and there are so many other guns. You're not supposed to just pick one and stick with it and if you still wanna stick with the model, it's really not that bad just hit ur shots and you'll have fun. Embark really outdid themselves with this one and I actually can't wait to play later today.

Yeah, the thing is, light is so powerful because they keep getting small nerfs whilst everyone else is getting big unnecessary nerfs, yeah C&S had its issues, but it did not need that big of a nerf. I'm hoping the can nerf vanish/cloak, stun gun, m11 TTK, LH1, and the double barrel. DB needs to only 2 shot if you hit a head shot or two, m11 needs its TTK nerfed depending on what class it's going against, medium it should be maybe 20%, heavy should be like 15%. Also LH1 needs to do less damage to the body. Also, PLEASE, nerf stun gun, have it charge up for like 3 seconds, add an audio cue, and nerf the amount of time it has you stunned. Make invisibility more visible.
Also, power shift should be getting new maps soon since they spoke about that.
Heavy needs RPG buff and readjust the C&S nerf, buff winch claw and mesh shield.
Buff medium, FCAR needs maybe 5 more bullets or does a little more damage each bullet, akm needs a TTK buff, model nerf was a little unnecessary, so maybe want to readjust.
So they don't need to really buff the other classes, just nerf light PLEASE. They make the game unpayable and have zero counters.

I feel like I'm playing a different game than most people and am having trouble reconciling why a large and vocal part of the community hates the light class and how upset they get at the related balancing in this game. I feel that its not completely based on reason, and instead is some sort of issue of ego. They would feel that, even if statistically M and H are the stronger classes and have a higher win rate, that it doesn't matter because getting killed by the light class hurts them personally somehow and should not be allowed.

CnS got hit too hard imo, and stop catering to Lights, every patch... There is too many Lights in Casual, and everybody I know, has quit becouse of that. Day 426 of the game being a unbalanced mess
I think this patch is a W patch and a step in the right direction.
The model nerf is tough, and cerb is def coming into play. It was in a weird place before with hit reg still being weak but now it’s completely out of meta and nerfed into the dirt. Famas nerf was fairly called for with respect to the other ARs, but Pike buff seems strong. Back to 3 tapping lights, which is at least nice with the loss of a comp weapon.
Changes to charge were long overdue, but I welcome them with open arms. Not sure that winch needed a change, but now mesh is undeniably the meta pick.
LH1 nerf was called for, it is a slight push in a direction that I’m indifferent about. I think it was in an ok place, but interested to see how this changes.
Overall I’m surprised and interested by the balance changes and keen on getting more play time.
One thing I’d like to highlight is over 60+ big fixes and improvements THIS IS IT!! Focusing on game health is an underrated part of the game and even an area that Embark I’d say can show a bit more love to. This is, again, that step in the right direction. I don’t want that to slip through the cracks in mine or anybody’s assessment. Are there still a ton of bugs in the game, sure. Absolutely. Will new bugs be introduced? Sure, absolutely. No game is perfect. Being in tech/engineering, I give embark grace as it is a lot easier said than done.
A few more patches like this and we will have the finals in a pretty exciting place for the foreseeable future.

I didn't get my xp (victory points) after winning in world tour. the xp remained tthe same and i didn't even had the animation that shows i got xp after i won.
This is quite the jump given that the update just came out and there’s no way you’ve played enough ranked matches in that time to say “this is definitely the new meta” just because Pike got a buff, lh1 got a nerf, Deagles untouched, and the CnS got a much-needed nerf.

- Increase the netcode/tickrate/servers. Getting kill at 3m far from a hammer/sword or behind a wall / door / cover is not ACCEPTABLE. In this condition, playing Light it's like playing a H but with 150HP. Servers can't register your movements !
- BAN CHEATERS AND TOXIC PLAYER. AND PERMA BAN !
- Let us choose our sight weapons at the beginning of a game
- Let us go in practice with friends please
- Delete low gravity event. It's not fun at all
- Fix events appear in front of the scoreboard
- Random skin and charm list for weapons/gadgets
- Add a TDM mode 5v5 in small arena
- We shouldn't lost point in ranked when a team mate leave the squad and didn't play during the round
- Let us invite friends or join them in group even if we are not the group leader
- Add the possibility to look at the profil/card of friends
- Patch the level up bug on weapons at the end of matches. It's been here since many months now
- Dash is trash with your netcode. Servers can't register a dash behind a cover and you will die anyway
- Give us the possibility to customize rules in private match
- More Limited Time Mode (LTM) in the game please or more XP event.

- Playing Light in your game is not fun at all. Charge, RPG, Frag nade, Model, Magnum, everything got faster TTK than anyway weapons of Light. Except SH who need to be a 3m or less WITH 150HP class
- Flamethrower make doubt about the weapon. Sometime it make so much damage + fire in short time. Looks strange time to time. I don't know what to think about it
- Buff Light survability or DPS. Light should be the DPS class but the game is always around Medium and Heavy class
- If you don't wanna nerf the grenade frag damage, add an indicator or make them more visual
- Nerf a bit Deagle damage or range
- Nerf Shak damage a bit
- Buff XP54 damage
- No more dmg on hook. It's nonsense. If hook do damage, stun gun should do too !
- Flamethrower and hook should NOT get you through walls or other.
- Nerf the right clic + Dash on Light. You couldn't dash with your sword or dagger charged
- Kill, Assist, Revive and Objectives points should add more points in ranked
- Spawn are still trash. You can wipe a squad on vault and they will respawn on the Cashout waiting for killing you. But after get wipe by them, YOU SPAWN AT 100M and MORE
- Rework defib: Reduce the cooldown reset to 5s and give 100HP instead of 50% of your HP. It will force Medium to revive more safety !

So this game is the best thing that has happened to the FPS genre since humanity got pre sliced bred. Unfortunately it is not fun to play any more. You either get stomped or you stomp and neither is any fun for anyone.
I am not an expert but as far as I understand the player base is a little bit to small to make the match making system work in a reasonable amount of time. So the actual player base needs to be funneled in to few active game modes.
This means that:
World Tour and Ranked needs to be consolidated.
Bank it needs to be adjusted to please the TDM lovers. Apparently Bank it now has to many stations to far apart so the players get spread out like too little butter on too much pre sliced bread.
And sadly Terminal Attack has to go.
Playing is more fun when everyone is on the same skill level. Because everything is a skill issue.

One proxy mine takes away invis basically. If you hate playing against cloaks just play with headphones and look around once in a while
People were... it's a free kill when paired with a any of heavy's close range options. Mainly also being hooked from behind walls. It deserved a nerf but not necessarily what it got. Winch should automatically be canceled if a player collides with a wall

I think that slowing down the pace for balance patches has had a very rough impact on people's perceptions of the balancing team. Knowing that an overstep could be corrected in a week or two probably let Embark take bigger risks, as well as giving players peace of mind when something was clearly overdone. Nowadays people have so many different expectations and playstyles that it's very difficult to develop a patch which makes most players happy, and then they're stuck with that until the next one in a month or whenever. Of course, the disconnect between competitive and casual brings its own issues with what the balance updates actually should be, but that's just my two cents. Also, the creative stuff (bounce pad with the cashout, goo plane, grappling onto carriables, etc.) shouldn't be patched out. I'd appreciate an effort to adapt them into the game, in the same way as the nukes were way back when.

FACTS! some changes may be controversial, but at the end the meta is shifting which is the most important. i would love to see team wipe penalties again though. hunting down a team to secure the win always has been really fun for me as well as escaping from it. and i would love to see 750$ per kill as it would lead to more situation where a team could be able to clutch by killing a lot of people at the end of a round. allways make the objectives the safest option to win, but allow multiple ways to clutch (obv with counters to it) to enhance the dynamic and complexity of the game. ❤️❤️

Does anyone feel like the mid-season update schedule is a really big contributor to how frustrated a lot of people are with the balance team?
It defenitely is. They teased and gave us false promises of underperforming weapons and items being buffed and this mid balance is bare and bones at best.
For example where is the heavy grenade launcher buff they were teasing us weeks ago 💀 Next balance patch is 4 weeks away

s4 had 50 damage pike and it was meta. Now there's less visual recoil. That's probably why he thinks that way/
CnS was LONG overdue for a nerf, 130 damage plus the INSANE UTILITY that CnS provides is simply too much. CnS could literally do 0 damage and still be strong just as an escape/destruction/CC tool.
It is still by far one of the best, if not the absolute best tool for stopping a cash out steal, since you can come through a wall and push the opponent off of the box, and they don’t really have any way to stop you unless they manage to kill you before your shoulder lands.

lights have much better peeking ability, mobility, and regen in 7 seconds so they can pop in, do some damage, then leave. as they regen the heavy still has three more seconds to go and in that time can absolutely demolish them. seems like a skill issue, esp considering i have had no problem 1v1ing heavies and meds as a light being a heavy main. Take sword for example, the ttk is pretty awful compared to a gun but its movement makes up for it and can still be viable if used right.

The first anniversary could be the last if devs continue to make players suffer from all kinds of problems and issues that not only weapon balance or class balance but so many bugs and so many other things that were there months ago. By adding “Dev notes” at the end of each tweak in patch notes it’s like the king has order us to do this and that.
Lastly, been half of season since I play because I’m sick of this balance changes, so I decided to wait for the mid season update, and without a doubt you devs once again deliver the impossible joking patch that I’m sure, the players count will sky fall into the ground as usual, great job devs, look forward to see you guys call out last patch before closing
I think that the movement is pretty balanced for light, just stun is op and some weapons need nerfs(M11 and LH1 (was barely nerfed))

To all the lights that wanted charge and slam nerfed. It wasn't a bad specialization, sure the turn radius could have been capped to reward you for dodging the initial hit, but now the damage is pathetic because YOU couldn't understand that when you have 150hp you need to keep your distance
Because LH1 was objectively OP in capable hands, it was fine prior the removal of visual recoil, but with the visual recoil fix/buff it became too strong (same exact thing happened to famas).

the point is there are a ton of mechanics on lights that are OP including the sword. You're the one acting like light takes skill and heavy doesn't It's just not the case. Play for a few more seasons before you chastise others cause you have no clue
If your dead set on reworking stun, make it basically a glitch gun disabling gadgets and specs and stopping steals but in tern reducing the movement penalty to maybe only walking

There is some problem with SR-84 currently. Rn i get a bag where i supposed to shoot and animation goes but the bullet doesn't come out and number of ammo doesn't decrease. It just makes an animation of a reload but nothing happens. Yesterday everything was totally fine
So light r intended to be used as a scout class that can assasinate single ppl with burst dmg, the only gun that can do it without getting destroyed is xp54 imo,because medium having ak,fcar and famas with 250 hp is crazy,lights have mostly 0 chances to do it. And while u have ability to scount with the specialization u can do it outside only in big areas,and u cant scout in close spaces like buildings for example,because either u face a medium or heavy and u get destroyed for sure.
In S1 there was wallhack gadget for medium,tbh I liked it very much and the tweaked version of it wasnt that broken tbh.
Why not give light class that wallhack specialization,it would help them with the scouting ability in closed section and additionally find isolated targets to elliminate.
PLS ADD WALLHACK SPECIALIZATION THAT WAS ON MEDIUMS FOR LIGHTS,aswell as giving grapple a second charge because although cooldown is low its still doesnt feel better alternative than dash or invis

The changes to quick melee-ing with weapons with a pump mechanic is extremely shitty, all it does is make those weapons feel more clunky to use since all of them were very closely tied to quick melee combos to have good breakpoints.

Not nerfing the 2x headshot multiplier on the LH1 is diabolical no other gun in this game even comes close to that insane amount of damage of would’ve taken a headshot multiplier nerf rather than a damage and rate of fire nerf

in reality it's not that effective, if each grenade were actually as good as an RPG (even though damage is similar, AOE is not), then people would actually use it. CL40 is still garbage tier

quick melee change was not it, pike is overtuned :(, we're back into a medium meta and i already have PTSD on how the pike sounds
ranked changes were nice but could deffo be "harsher" as you do have WT as the casual cashout experience and ranked would be where you actually are required to take it a bit more seriously
charge and slam nerf was great, but the winch nerf was definitely weird. could we perhaps see a mesh buff soon?

I think this is The Finals biggest issue right now, next to a lot of built up bugs they desperately need to fix. I think I huge amount of the "unbalanced" weapons are actually just people dealing with the next to no SBMM we have in quick cash, power shift, and Bank It. Combine World Tour and Ranked, have your Rank, that goes up and down with wins and losses as normal, and a second bar that only goes up with wins and not down with loses which is where you get the WT skins for that season. That will cut down on queue times by a lot, and then give us some SBMM for other game modes now that you have fixed queue times. And I swear to god the first person who brings up smurfs, hackers, and rank abusers as an excuse to not have SBMM should just leave. Yeah, you can't have perfect SBMM but some SBMM is better than what we have now.
