I am okay with TA as ranked for one season, but it needs to be changed back after this. Edit: for this reason, among others

Terminal Attack
⢠Remove TA ranked
⢠Keep TA as a casual game mode
⢠Remove the forced 5 games of TA
Cashout
⢠Increase the cash reward for killing a player in cashout from $200 to $1,000
⢠Put Cashout back as Ranked.
⢠Have World Tour be all game modes (one per week)
Increasing the kill reward in Cashout would mean that people could play it as a tdm OR Cashout that we know.
I think this would also decrease the amount of 3rd partying because there would be less of an incentive to go for the cashout.
A team that wants to go for cashouts will have a very defensive build and would be hard for the TDM offensive build to push.
But people would still try and get the cashouts because they would be a free $10k, $15k or $22k.
This would also make HHM less oppressive because it's a defensive comp based around holding an objective.
The new map is open and the hills make you can easy target, and the map is way to big

Both of those maps have been effected by CNS, now it's time to show us what both of those maps should have been.
A modern Kyoto

A fully loaded Sys Horizon (whatever the real name will be)
Instead of having to make a map from scratch we can asset flip those ones and give us one ((or both)) either in a mid season patch or for a new season.
Yes some of the fans won't like that, but I imagine that would allow for some time to pour some more resources and manpower into other aspects of the game for a while.

The game needs a much more in depth tutorial for situations that people will face. I see some people stare cross eye'd at a wall in tougher situations not knowing what to do for the most basic of stuff. Could also add incentive for completing more advanced tutorials like skins or multibucks.

IF you reload, and heavy winches you, your gun gets stuck, can't reload, or shoot, happened to me twice with ak now. Also, nerf knives, and LH1, remove sniper = better game (sorry Lights, nothing personal).
a youtuber made a really good point on how to fix cashout.
Reward players more money around 1-5k per kill while defending and maybe even attacking a cashout,
so even if they get 3rd partied they have still been rewarded through defense kills while holding a cashout.
A annoying part is holding a cashout killing off 2 even 3 teams and come and get 3rd partied last second and lose and you got nothing for defending the whole time and the work went into holding for a team to come thru last second and get all the reward.
Reward defending a point by adding the value of cash you get for kills so that it is a significance. ($100 per kill means nothing)
This will make some players think twice on pushing a team for the risk of giving them money if they lose the fight.
will incintivse strategy when pushing and more team focus.
Why does the Right click on Dual blades feel like a worse version of Riot shield? its so inconsistent that i dont know if i even should use them at all cause sometimes they work fine and the match right after i become a sitting duck and every single hit gets right through the "defensive stance"

5 TA matches for new players is by far the worst decision embark has ever made.
Like imagine you only heard about the finals now, so you see a bunch of really hype fast paced trailers and gameplay and clips of people doing cool shit in the game
Then you install it and you get forced into a mode where you have to wait ages before you actually get to play, then you run in and probably get one shot by a light or some shit
You have one class unlocked, can't change any of your gear, and you get to play for like a minute once every 3-ish minutes
And if someone leaves, the match gets cancelled.
Stupid awful decision, guys. It's a nice mode, but pushing it onto new players? I'd just quit immediately.

TA is a terrible game mode and shouldnt be the ranked mode in the first place, but if its not changed can you at least remove the loadout selection phase between each round, the pacing of the mode is painfully slow

agree besides the cashout reward for 1000. thats way to excessive. id start with 500 per kill and 2000 for a team wipe. as well as taking away the 5 forced TA games. ive brought 10 people to this game and every one enjoys cash out. and a few rarely like TA. i would maybe bring it down to 3 games but would preferably just not force people to play it
It's big, and I wish there were more traversal options on the map. But I run medium with both jump pad and zipline. I get around the map and reposition very easily

Medium swords don't properly parry Melee attacks, the animation shows, and it shows the hit marker on the enemy but it doesn't do any damage

This games ranked mode has become nothing but lights. If you are heavy or medium you just get ran down by skinnys with cloak (that regens so they can just terroize the shit out of you) or dash or you just get 2 shot by lh1 or sniper pls devs stop making these horrible decisions for something that wasnt even bad

And revert the LH1 recoil change gun needs 0 skill to use now and its way too strong.
So, going from 20,000 players to 30,000 players is a +50% increase in player count.
It's a long way from the initial peak and I want this game to succeed so bad. We're going in the right direction. Marketing wise & content wise.

I repeat: RUIN THE STATE OF NORMAL in this game every three months.
Drop new overpowered weapons at the beginning of each season and balance them mid season.
Apart of the interest day one fans had was how interesting the gameplay was & the new wepons they had to form play styles around.
I'll give the developers some grace because it seems like counterplay, strategy, & gameplay loop seem to be a big part of things here.
But for an early game maybe we just need more people in the arena first testing out the tools & weapons then we refine stuff.
I'm looking at the charts (I'm sure they don't have all of the information)
But when we get back above 40,000 the game will blow up.

Game feels SUPER unbalanced. I feel like running mediums is worthless at this point unless you heal the whole time, and Lights are absolutely OVERPOWERED. Please balance the game
Make customization based on load outs and outfits, not contestants. So when you load into a game, you pick a build, load out, and outfit, or use your normal one that you set. Infinite load out and outfit slots, and you can create custom outfits or use the ones you can buy in the store as is. Either that, or just give infinite contestant slots I don't see a reason for them to be limited, esp with the influx of new toys

Light:

Revive Speed: Buff revive speed. I've been asking for this for a long time now. Making it 1 second shorter would increase their team viability immensely. Heavies can barricade/bubble in place to revive, and mediums use their magic cables, while lights need to run a marathon to find a safe space to avoid a random one-shot.

BOW: Very nice, not too strong. Maybe should have very slight inaccuracies mid-air like throwing knives.

3rd Person Bow Walk Animation: Very weird and could use some tweaks.

LH1: Too strong in every way possible, needs nerfs, especially for terminal attack.

Thermal Bore: Should have area damage, collision/passthrough with enemy players, and deal around 40 damage. Also, it should have a 10-20% larger explosion.
Medium:
- Dual Blades: Underwhelmingly weak. Needs damage buffs to primary attack and give medium a slight move speed buff. You cannot chase other mediums as you are the same speed. Maybe a 3-7% faster running speed to compensate for having no dash or invis cloak.
Heavy:
- Claw: Should have a better visual for when you get hooked. Soft red borders/hooked display to clearly showcase lost control.
- Claw needs slight nerfs to when what side of the grappled person can move and stun duration, etc.
Kyoto:
No complaints. Love the map and aesthetics. Was hoping for a 2200 version, aka hyperfuturistic Kyoto (even though Syshorizon covers that). Otherwise, super.
Events:
- Low Gravity Event: Lasts too long and happens WAY too often in the last minutes of the match, making the game unplayable as melee. Getting beamed when you jump once.
Killfeed:
- Should display enemy kills and cause of deaths. I often get 3rd-partied and want to know which team did it.
Team Damage:
- I've been dying to team damage way too often recently as a sword player, dying to my team's gas and fire. Give friendly hazards a slightly longer damage time to begin. For example, make us cough more often or similar so we take less team damage.
Grenade Indicator:
- Add a grenade indicator. Grenades are fine; I am okay with eating a whole grenade here and there, but sometimes you just donāt hear them in all the chaos. I want to see where they are roughly.
Miscellaneous:
- Lobby Music Selection Options: When?
- Skins for Gadgets and Items: Can we get some skins for gadgets and items that donāt have any yet? (Looking at Gateway [Portal gun you throw?], Pyro [Molotov], and Stun Gun [barcode scanner skin]).
Platinum 4+ remove Individual Performance. A prime example is VALORANT removing it too because a role like Cypher solo holding would always gain less elo compared to Jett, which is the same issue this new ranked system has too. Right now we have to wipe a team except 1, wait for them to key, then share the defuse with whoever isn't fragging as much because of their build/role. Having to elo max is not good gameplay, base it on opposition's elo and rounds win/loss only.
guys please give us more loadouts or a way to save Outfits as favorite and being able To swap them out, i want to buy more skins so i need at least 12 loadouts

Limit the number of gadgets per team of one type. Like, they shouldn't all be able to run healing beam and just spam it in rotation to negate your damage. The opposing team should not be able to run 3 turrets, etc.
@sacred hawk the M60 is even worse... I already have multiple clips of me unloading on a heavy from 20-30 ft away and the heavy just runs straight through the bullets to Cave my skull inš„²

Embark you need to remove builds to be able to balance this game, specifically for ranked. Just make everyone medium with 250hp but you can select any gadget or specialization, that way you can balance and tune guns and equipment without it having a knock on effect because of the unique build differences such as HP and Speed. There is no class specific skins or anything so I don't see how this would be a problem. If any metas formed due to the specializations from heavy or light being on medium, you would have the opportunity to balance them accordingly and bring variety to builds.

Please stop forcing kioto down my throat, I played it 4 times in a row and its absolutely terrible for my meele playstyle. So just let me play other maps. I understand you slightly increase the probability of it appearing, but this is not great for new players who then think there is only one map in the game (playing quickcash)

I play Light and ran Sonar before S3, and I think it [Sonar] was good then - the current buff to the range feels overkill, I don't think it was needed personally. Buffing the recharge speed instead or something would have been preferable if the numbers and metrics weren't lining up to expectations perhaps? Just my 2c.
The game is great, in fact it became my favorite shooter, but since they abuse the Cl-40 and now the double swords it no longer makes me want to play, it has become absurd, unfortunately I will stop playing it and they will have a player less

I really don't get why people are arguing so much about light being too weak or too strong.
Light is pretty damn strong, but people are just bad.
First of all cudos to Embark, light is by far the most fun and engaging class to play as. A very large loadout. A lot of fun and different weapons. And the specializations all have their place. (Allthough the grappling hook is kinda weird)
The Problem with light is not that some weapons are busted (bow, knives, LH1, Sword), it is that light is just extremely unfun and "unfair" to play against.
If you kill a light you do so because the player was bad, was forced to enter a bad position, you were using some cheese like the RPG or you got the drop on them.
And that is the point of the light class. Light is not supposed to fight fair and square battles in an open field. Light is designed to get picks from unsuspecting opponents.
Thats also the reason why most light players suck. They don't get that they can't just run into a full team and expect to survive. And yet here are people complaining that light needs more HP.
For those people that play/have played League of Legends. Asking for that is the same as wanting assassins to build bruiser/tank items and still wipe whole teams. Laughs in tank ekko.
No one wants tanky assassins. If you die to an assassin it is completely your fault, you were out of position or the enemy was just better. Complaining about it won't make you better.
On the other hand I don't get why light is receiving so many buffs to its weapons. Light already has by far the most utility heavy and strongest gadgets.
- Enemy team is camping and healing? Throw a glitch grenade.
- Enemy has abilities which could be a hindrance? Throw a glitch grenade.
- Want to flank the enemy? Get invisible or use your outstanding mobility.
- Get caught off guard? Just get away with your mobility.
If one doesn't use their toolkit, they shouldn't complain.
Yes, Light is in a difficult spot in high elo( Cashout, not TA). But the Problem imo is that HMM HHM is just way easier to pull off. The margin for error on light in high elo is just really thin. And this gets even harder with the existence of the RPG.
On that note, the RPG is just really stupid in its damage concept. I get that it will always deal a minimum amount of damage, so that it has some form of consistency. But this is just unfair. The RPG has a huge explosion radius, if you get somewhat hit by that as light, which you always will, even with dash, you will loose >50% of your hp, even tho you reacted in time. If you get hit with it in the face, you deserve it, since you were out of position.
Just remove the minimum damage, this will also be a QOL buff for the heavy since the self damage on an explosion 5m away will be much less. ATM this will basically kill you, approx 200 Damage at the edge of the explosion.

I just want ranked cashout, I wanted to go for top 500 this season but i cant be fucked with TA being the game mode. Its not nearly as fun and it feels like such a slog.

Lights got no nerfs other than a longer cooldown for breach charge. Made the marksman rifle do more damage and made range better (Looking to be the most dominant light weapon so far) , added a new high damage range weapon on top of the sniper, and a gadget to blow open holes in walls. Then made the health regen faster than everyone elses even when they have the smallest health pool to regen? What is going on embark. Heavy gets a ton of nerfs other than pumping a shotgun faster and a sledgehammer animation? YOU NERF THE DAMAGE OF HEAVY'S TWO MAIN WEAPONS??? Are we trying to brick heavies from playing and turn them into shields forced to use RPG for every kill? What. is. going. on. Even the new winch has already been nerfed. I dont even care for it man. Wth Embark.

M11 falls behind the SH1900, the V9S and the LH1 in terms of sheer TTK.
It's supposedly the melter weapon. High recoil, lacking a lot of range. Needs a damage per bullet buff (by 1 only) or a fire rate buff.
It's good to see light gets its compensations (although LH1 is the one that is currently overkill. I dominated with LH1 in world tour and ranked terminal), but be ready to put the light weapons on the same page with each other, in its respected strengths and weaknesses.
S3 match loading bug please fix. You hear everything in the background but you cant do anything and get time kicked back to main menu but again you cant see anything apart from loading screen and main menu music
- Bring back Ranked Tournament
- Revert the LH1 damage buff. It was already a broken weapon, and you now you guys made it kill faster than SMGs!
- Revert the 93R fire rate nerf. Its range buff is not enough to compensate for the fact that it kills way too slowly. The new damage dropoff modifier still makes it worse than an LH1 or XP-54
Bring back ranked cashout! 
Something tells me that appealing to casual players on PC don't really mix.
I think if you want to get a larger market you need to appeal to players who are on console.
This may be a hunch and I may not know what the hell I'm talking about but it just kind of makes more sense.

Culturally Rich Skins
The skins this season are a love letter to Japanese culture. They are well-designed, thoughtfully chosen, and fit perfectly into the game. -

Ranked Terminal Attack
This one is a bit obvious. While it's great to have new game modes, having two modes to farm might be too much. Locking ranked rewards behind Terminal Attack isn't ideal. Personally, I don't play Terminal Attack because it's a slower game mode and doesn't fit what I want from the finals. It's a nice addition, but maybe it shouldn't be included in such an important mode like ranked. -
Balances
The current weapon balance isn't the worst, but the LH1 is way too powerful now, and the throwing knife does too much damage. Everything else is fine and can be countered, but these two changes aren't good in my opinion. Heavy have still too much HP or damage power. They should be more protecting than attacking. -
Poor Matchmaking
This is the most frustrating point. It's not acceptable to have such a disparity in player performance, like someone with 500 damage paired with someone having 6000 damage in the final round of World Tour. This is frustrating for both new and experienced players. While I don't expect pro-level matches, a minimum level of balance would be appreciated. -
Bugs
There are small bugs present, but none are game-breaking.

"Win 3 matches of World Tour" should not be the entire tournament. A match is a round.
kyoto needs an optimization pass. I get like 140fps on most of the maps, I hit my frame cap (165) on syshorizon. On kyoto I get like 120 fps, and I've seen drops down to below 80.

From every ranked game ive played in the last couple days, theres always atleast 3 lights on the other team, while one would think its no issue it really is, theres always a sniper that either one tap headshots or tanks your health to nothing, I understand, thats like the whole premise on light sniper, its just unfair to have to fight that from over 180M away, maybe just disable it for TA? but idk, seems unfair to me, Bow is fine, Throwing knives is just impossible to fight as a medium or a light unless you get the first hit, but typically their running dash, which is just extremely difficult to fight

Please, please bring back Ranked Tournament. Have played about 30 games of Terminal Attack and it's just too boring, and less strategic than Cashout. There's way less team-play and it's mostly just a shootout TDM, because it's nearly pointless to do the objective. Also it seems the mode is only 5x Lights, because why would you pick anything else, if losing hp while going to a point only regenerates to 100. If you get damaged as a medium or heavy, being at 100hp you will lose every 1v1 Vs an equally skilled light every time because of the higher damage output. Plus it's just a spam of 5x Sonar and you see everyone all the time. It's just too boring and slow. I have no excitement or joy playing it. I have 800 hours in the game and am seriously considering quitting, because there is no point playing the casual World Tour with badges. This season's was looking so good. The twitch drops, Twitch Rivals sponsorship, insane new map, great new weapons. But you had to ruin it with the Terminal Attack rank mode. I understand that you wanted to fix the unfair flights when third partying, but you can do something to disincentivize people from third parties to make it more fair/competitive. Overall really disappointed with the TA Rank decision and will stop for the foreseeable future. Hopefully you switch the rank mode back to Cashout, otherwise see you next season when you bring it back!

please rework cloak to have low activation cost but run out faster the longer cloak is active. this way you aren't punished for activating your cloak and instead punish cloak users for staying invis too long and camping with it. it would also differentiate cloak and vanish bomb more (cloak for using invis in quick short bursts during fights, and vanish bomb for safely getting away when low or to sneak up on players) being able to toggle invis on and off is what makes cloak good, using up a 3rd of the ability to activate cloak sucks. as it is rn, it feels just like vanish bomb but in your specialization slot

y'all gotta fix this auto-match cancelling thing, i play casual terminal attack with a 5-stack of my brothers and your game crashes like 1/3 of the times when 1 particular brother starts loading the map. and even though he's always reconnecting before the match even starts, you cancel the match and give him an (increasing) penalty. why?? he's not quitting the match, he's just crashing. we're the only team handicapped by his crashes and we're all fine with it. so now we gotta play power shift for 30 minutes

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here are a few ways that can improve the shield, as it underperforms against any other ranged and melee weapon. I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- The shield should block a larger area of the body to make it more consistent at blocking melee, bullets, and splash damage. Players with decent aim can easily hit the arms and legs which defeats the whole purpose of it.
- Blocking melee attacks should inflict a knockback to prevent melee weapons from clipping through and scoring a second hit with the active frames.
- Increase the melee range, even just +1m of range would make it feel so much better to catch enemies that were just outside your range before.
- Electrify the baton and allow it to glitch enemies for a very short period, it would provide a lot of team utility and prevent dash lights and charge and slam heavies from effortlessly hard countering shielders
FIX THE RIOT SHIELD BUGS:
- When picking up throwables in the arena, the first person shield model gets messed up and blocks your entire screen.
- Remove the fov and turning speed reduction when you raise the shield to block, it makes it overly clunky to use and feels terrible in a fast pace environment.
HOLDING THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
GIVE SMOKE GRENADES TO ALL CLASSES:
- Give smoke grenade to all classes! It would open so many strategies for the other builds! I would use smoke so much if it was on medium, especially to better support my team against fire, detection sources, or to help revive teammates, and steal cashouts in an open area.
FIX THE GLITCH TRAP:
- Glitched heavy can still use the winch claw and it doesn't stop chargeNslam
Make LH1 fire explosive bullets and make it automatic
Don't forget the drum mag too while we're at it

It is impossible to do a TA because of the different idea of āāthe game, which distinguished it from most of the games that we know, and we were tired of repeating the same idea. 5v5 . The idea of āācashout is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable game plays. In any case, the change idea of āāthe game. It destroys the popularity of the Finals, not because the players trained for more than half a year on a specific playing system and simply changed it to TA, but because a move like this indicates a lack of respect for the players.

Itās really unplayable in that case and itās only concerning this mode. I love the game and it has a huge potential, but I noticed that players are playing the same way on every game I did. honestly, in a direct 1v1 light loses 90% of the time. you kind of have to sneak around, which makes people hate the class when you just get killed without knowing they were there. however, if you can figure out where they are, its a free kill. The Lh1 does need a nerf, but honestly as a heavy you CAN instakill lights with winchclaw RPG

WHY ARE DUAL BLADES JUST BETTER THAN RIOT SHIELD IN EVERY WAY?
- Blocks everything in your view, including your arms and feet, whereas Riot Shield is very vulnerable where your feet are always exposed and arms are nearly always exposed
- Blocks melee damage
- Attacks faster and deals much greater damage per second
- No movement speed penalty
- Doesn't obstruct your view when blocking
- It's not very obvious that you're blocking, which can fool people into shooting you
- Reflects all ranged damage back at attacker
- NEED I SAY MORE?
BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD UP TO PAR WITH DUAL BLADES:
- The shield should block a larger area of the body to make it more consistent at blocking melee, bullets, and splash damage. Players with decent aim can and do easily hit the arms and legs which defeats the whole purpose of it. Not to mention bullets seem to go through all the time somehow, the player-model hitbox seems to constantly clipping through the shield.
- While blocking and attacking, movement speed should be the same as walking
- Blocking melee attacks could inflict a knockback/stun, and reduce melee damage significantly. Riot Shield is currently hard countered by all other melee weapons.
- Increase melee range or attack speed slightly OR reduce wind-up duration when swinging the baton.

RIOT SHIELD BUGS:
- When picking up throwables in the arena, sometimes the first person shield model gets messed up and blocks your entire screen.
ABOVE ALL ELSE
Riot Shield should at the very least do one thing reliably, and that is BLOCK damage. Nerf the rest of it I don't really care as long as I can use it to survive. BLOCKING is the Riot Shield's core feature and it should be the best weapon in the game to do that.
5 lights v 5 lights in terminal attack is boring as hell and it happens 9/10 times.

I got 2 shot as a light and died...
A light can:
- easily be taken out of stealth with one bullet and usually when they wanna 'escape with invis'... they are already under fire
- has weapons that have an average dps around 180? remove the shotgun and it is 170 or 165.... other classes have an average dps of 150. Now tell me who survives in a direct 1v1 when both sides have perfect aim.
- they have 150 bloody hp, yes they need faster regen. Other classes can lose half hp and still go for another gunfight. Light needs to just sit out with 10-20 hp left after each gun fight just to be effective again.
- If you are getting zoned by a light in Kyoto out of all maps... you should reconsider playing this game since there are SO MANY buildings and walls you can hide behind as you are rushing any location, it's almost hilarious. Learn to use the environment.
- most of its weapons require a good amount of skill and have no range (I agree, lh1 and the bow are bloody annoying and need a nerf)
- die to a single mine.
on the other hand...
A heavy can:
- shut down a light with the rpg. Don't even speak about how it now does 140 dmg, what do you think anyone can do with 10 hp left when the weakest gun deals more than that per bullet.
- has an almost hitscan speed grapple hook that goes through EVERYTHING and is an absolute death sentence when used with sledge, spear, shotgun, flamethrower
- has more than double the hp of light and as mentioned before, can survive a 1v1 with any light if both sides start firing at the same time and land all their shots
A medium can:
- use some of the best feeling weapons in the game that have the most ammo efficiency per kill per clip (akm) which have nice recoil patterns
- omg that pay to win shotgun skin? have you ever used it? it feels incredible... literally made me a medium main all throughout season 1-2
So grenades still don't detonate after you pull the pin, unless you fully complete the throw before you die. Makes it very hard to suicide bomb

i was running this game so well in the open beta and ever sine season 1 the performance has been far worse
but whatever the last patch did in the last 24 hours, the new kyoto map is unplayable for me now
it was fine the past few days (i was surprised with how well it ran with all that foliage) but now the stuttering is so bad i literally cannot play
weirdly, the problem would disappear for like 10 seconds if i changed my video settings to or from fullscreen/windowed, but it would reappear until i switched back to the other
AHH light finally gets some damage and people complaining? THATS WHAT LIGHT IS SUPPOSED TO BE. Light is 2 shots but deals damage THATS HOW THE CLASSES ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK.
to me the most logical tradeoff is smaller hit box and faster speed + mobility = less damage
bigger hitbox + lower speed = higher damage
in that case I'd want classes to have closer health pools though, like 200 for light and 300 for heavy, the size makes such a huge difference, its easier for me to kill heavies on the 1887 than lights most of the time
TA is ok, i'd still prefer cashout but I know it got taken out of ranked for balancing reasons, but why is it that winning only gives you anywhere between 250-500, but losing can drop you by 1100
To me the most logical thing is to figure out the game and the class you are playing rather than try to change it because you donāt want to learn how to play with those pros and cons
There are so many things you can do to balance a game and make it approachable for all types of players and taking something that literally is part of a class away specifically isn't the way to do that. It needs to be fair on both fronts.
On a side note. This game has a magic that season 1 brought out. They are bringing in new items on top of items that already existed and are now changed. They need to revert it and start fresh each season. This season gives chill vibes but gameplay feels overly sweaty. It doesn't fit. It's taking away the magic and the fun of what the finals brought to the table. It's a struggle. And change isn't always the answer. Sometimes you have to let things stay the same. Change slowly over time. Not instantly.
Overall:
Season 1 - 8/10 (a good start)
Season 2- 9/10 (something to improve)
Season 3 -6/10 (too many needles changes

Developers should play their game....especially when you have a huuuge devteam. Would avoid a lot of the balance issues if you just tried the equipment you buffed that DID not need a buff....I'd gladly take a paycheck to test balancing but I know I won't because the devs would rather leave broken elements in the game...
audio is still a joke, when fix?
My game crashes in the loading screen on my way into ranked TA, I reconnect, then the game kicks me from the server for no reason, then when I try to reconnect it cancels the entire match because someone else also disconnected mid match and then I get a matchmaking suspension for something that wasn't even my fault! First match I tried to play today too. Is there no way for the game to recognise the difference between intentionally leaving a ranked match and being disconnected for reasons outside of your control?
Buff LH1, there is still some people who resist to use it. Don't start playing your game in public matches, that would be a mistake, just do what you do, your doing great Embark, lol. But seriously, art and music department still rocks, rest has gone downhill. Oh, also balance more weapons and gadgets for TA, that is gonna make it the best thing ever, CL40 was problematic indeed, you guys nailed it, lol. I can't even... Also remove the visuals on sonar grenade totally, doesn't match the new, what, three times the size it has? It's confusing that the visuals are there anyway, you will be detected most of the match anyway. You nerfed it for Medium, then took it away and gave it to Light, and then buffed it and released the change clearly unfinished... I can't even... I ahven't even started here...
please nerf light omg, LH1 is stupid broken and TA Ranked is unplayable as medium if you play against 5 stack light and I'll not talk about those recon grenade (idk if it is the real name since my game is in french). 10 of those grenades in one round, it's worst than playing against the old recon sensor

No the most logical tradeoff is the less hp the more the damage and the more the hp the less the damage. This is textbook stuff, like assassins in games are squishy, glass cannon, 1 shot but the tradeoff is they can deal dmg and vice versa.
Mobility in this game is placebo, good aimers and with aim assist for consoles, the crosshair can move always faster than the character.
Classes having closer health pools is going against the game principality. Heavy is supposed to be the "tank", front line, medium all-round character like a bruiser/fighter and light an assassin, high damage but squishy.
This how is being done to achieve "balance", but I dont think balance is what they are trying to achieve. They are trying to have sort of "metas" that people can bounce around, like heavy was meta with nukes, then mediums where more efficient when nuke got removed etc.

Just played my first game of TA and it was just as bad as I thought it would be, entire game dominated by lights that either snipe you right from spawn or instakill you on point with throwing knives lmfao. And before someone says skill issue I solo queued to diamond last season so I don't think I'm that terrible at the game. This mode just was not meant for this game, too many balancing issues and not made for the maps the way they are designed. Was excited to grind to diamond again but dont't think I have the mental capacity to play even a 2nd game of TA

I completed all 8 placement matches and got Silver 2. Better than the experience I had with this terrible mode.
The setup phase is stupid. Defenders spawn right next to their objectives. If the map was cut in half, like it should, great. But it's not. Almost every map except Horizon is too big for TA.
Defenders are WAY more at an advantage than Attackers. LH1 being the Meta Light, including Sniper and Bow makes every single game for the Attackers a complete misery. Here's the fact: I won every single game when I started out as a Defender. I lost every single game when I started out as an Attacker. The setup phase doesn't even help prevent this, either.
And that's all the meta is. Every Light has the LH1, or the Sniper, and then there will be Heavies if they aren't a Light with mesh shield and dome shield and rpg because free instant kill.
And, most importantly, NO ONE WANTED THIS. NEXON wanted it and NEXON is the reason S3 is so polarizing. It's also incredibly insulting that there are voice lines where it's very clearly antagonistic towards those that didn't want this change, such as "This is still The Finals, but with Terminal Attack!" Or "You get Terminal Attack, you will deal with Terminal Attack" or something along those lines. Absolutely insulting and it only pissed my whole team off. The whole team got pissed off. I wish I was kidding.
It's not fun. I never had any fun. Kyoto being so common in Ranked TA is frustrating because Kyoto is by FAR the worst map for TA. It was boring, it was frustrating, the Defenders win every single round, the Attackers lose every single round, and that's all it is. There's no excitement. It's a complete ratty sweat fest that should've never became the primary Ranked mode.
I hope Ranked TA dies in a fire and never returns in any future Seasons. Even my own criticisms isn't going to fix Ranked TA, or TA in general, because The FINALS is NOT MADE FOR CSGO PLAY!

Cashout is what makes The Finals unique. That game mode is what drew me to this game away from other FPS games. Then, when i started playing ranked, I was even more encouraged to grind for diamond. If i wanted to play "search and destroy" then i would have just stayed with Call of Duty. if you want Terminal Attack to be a thing, thats ok, it's your game. But please have a cashout ranked mode as well. Like i stated previously, that game mode is what make The Finals, The Finals.

Dual blades deflection seems inconsistent as hell. Sometimes I get a bounce, sometimes I don't, even in the practice range with the training dummies they won't trigger bounces unless they're right in front of you. You essentially need to be pointing directly at the person that's shooting you (any variation in height or angle means no bounce) and even a slight variation to either side or above/below and they circumnavigate your defence. Considering the medium has bugger all mobility and it's very difficult to close the distance on opponents, I think it's reasonable to request the defensive block is a little more forgiving?
damn y'all. Just got banned for abandoning a match after the game wouldn't even load me in (heard game audio, my team was playing, I was stuck in a loading screen). Somehow managed to rejoin and carry the group to first place and we qualed successfully after which I got handed a ban for having the audacity to alt-f4 from an unplayable gamestate. What a joke, this is unacceptable.

I'm not totally mad just kinda sad and find this funny. I was playing a round of quick cash(as you do) and was using dagger(w/ dash). I guess I had my auto-clicker open from a while back and it kicked me from the game, with around 5 or so minutes left. It's funny that it took so long and that "hey! He's using an auto clicker for backstabs, boot him!" I get maybe doing this for V9S or LH1 but they still have an RPM cap that most gamers can probably easily reach
I play on a 4070 12GB, the game is very low fps for a fast paced "competitive" shooter, im praying š please do an optimization patch, i dont mind playing with muddy textures on a map that looks like it was built in minecraft, i just wanna be able to play at high framerates 
Day 90 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.
- 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
- 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS. No headshot modifier to keep DPS from becoming insane.
- Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets, youāre probably not getting higher than 150 DPS even as far as 10 meters.
- bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)

-L damage overall feels a bit weird (might be opinion)

-Longer winch cashout pull length/power
-Rebuff mesh shield and dome shield, as people too easily pop those (should be 1.5 clips of a M11 worth of HP)
-More in depth tutorial to teach players the ropes better, add advanced tutorials that gives small reward for completing
Here are some suggestions for buffing the Riot Shield

Significantly shorten gadget cooldown after blocking a certain number of bullets.
Currently, there is no reward for blocking bullets with the Riot Shield. In fact, the more you use the shield, the more disadvantageous it becomes for the player. On the other hand, Dual Blades have a significant return as they can potentially reflect bullets. By allowing the Riot Shield to combine with other gadgets in combat, it could create an interesting support-focused gameplay. This would contrast the offensive nature of the Dual Blades with a strong support role for the Riot Shield. -
Grant a short stun effect when hitting with the baton.
This could prevent enemies from capturing objectives or forcibly disrupt enemies attacking teammates. If this is considered too powerful, the stun energy could be granted as a bonus for blocking bullets, making it an interesting strategic element in the game.

WHY ARE DUAL BLADES JUST BETTER THAN RIOT SHIELD IN EVERY WAY?
- Blocks everything in your view, including your arms and feet, whereas Riot Shield is very vulnerable where your feet are always exposed and arms are nearly always exposed
- Blocks melee damage
- Attacks faster and deals much greater damage per second
- No movement speed penalty
- Doesn't obstruct your view when blocking
- It's not very obvious that you're blocking, which can fool people into shooting you
- Reflects all ranged damage back at attacker
- NEED I SAY MORE?
BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD UP TO PAR WITH DUAL BLADES:
- The shield should block a larger area of the body to make it more consistent at blocking melee, bullets, and splash damage. Players with decent aim can and do easily hit the arms and legs which defeats the whole purpose of it. Not to mention bullets seem to go through all the time somehow, the player-model hitbox seems to constantly clipping through the shield.
- While blocking and attacking, movement speed should be the same as walking
- Blocking melee attacks could inflict a knockback/stun, and reduce melee damage significantly. Riot Shield is currently hard countered by all other melee weapons.
- Increase melee range or attack speed slightly OR reduce wind-up duration when swinging the baton.
- Remove the turning speed reduction when you raise the shield to block, it makes it much much harder to look around, especially with such a narrow viewing window.
RIOT SHIELD BUGS:
- When picking up throwables in the arena, sometimes the first person shield model gets messed up and blocks your entire screen.
ABOVE ALL ELSE
Riot Shield should at the very least do one thing reliably, and that is BLOCK damage. Nerf the rest of it I don't really care as long as I can use it to survive. BLOCKING is the Riot Shield's core feature and it should be the best weapon in the game to do that.

Notify players with an ingame notification when a player they've reported has had moderatory actions taken against them, this way we can visually see that you guys are actually doing something about troublemakers behind the scenes.
Inspiration for a feature like this would be how Overwatch does it, if you've made a successful report, whenever you start the game you'll receive a full screen notification that tells you "an action has been taken against a player you've reported, etc"

I've got a lvl 7 LH1 that i've been maining for almost all of season 2 and climbed to diamond with it. Why buff it? Now it's so plainly easy to use and highly overtuned it feels like it just outshines other weapons. It used to be somewhat skillfull and now it's just cheap. Feels like fcar did before nerfs...

Maybe I'm ass but I've only been killed by an Lh1 my whole TA ranked experience so far
With the recent nerf to M60 and Lewis - Heavy is no longer as strong as it should and it used to be, combine the ease of movement of light with the high DPS and smaller size - it is "way" tougher to get a Light as compared to previous seasons. Finals has more factors to it than just DPS, it has movement, physical size and other dynamics, so your argument of "who survives in a direct 1v1 when both sides have perfect aim" kinda fails.
Env > Have you tried being a heavy in the region that's below that huge tower in kyoto? If you do not have a mesh shield, it is impossible to get past that area using the environment and buildings if a light is sitting at the top with a sniper. Worse if it is a Light stack.
Most of the weapons require skill? Sure! With the LH1, or the XP-54 and their concentrated sprays - why not? Lmao. You wanna test skill? Try using a Lewis now, try getting a kill once the recoil kicks in after the first few shots. Absolute madness and what are you saying they have no range lmao? most of the lights take that exact advantage of range using sniper/LH1/XP-54, ignorance much?
A heavy most certainly can't shut down a light with an rpg given the super ability of a light to escape. It's not like Heavy is good in stealth so 11/10 times it gets spotted first and is the prime target unless there's a healer nearby. The hook is only as good as you get a good shot which isn't always the case.
Do checkout Ottr's latest comparison of the weapons, it will help you understand more clearly how S2 and S3 have favored lights and how other classes are actually downgraded.

TA ranked has potential but games are way too long especially when it goes all the way to round 13, gameplay is fun and frustrating idk how yāall managed thatš« skyway is a terrible map for this mode as well
Enjoying S3 so far. A few problems though:

Stun Gun reversion is bad. It's an auto-win versus 20% of the classes in the game (sword, dagger, spear, sledge, and flamer). Specialisations at least gave some counterplay. Right now it's a real feel bad for them.

Events are still largely pointless. Only low gravity and orbital lasers have any gameplay impact. Everything else just gets ignored by everyone.

We need more map variants. There's no unique Kyoto variant, and still no Horizon one. I miss the cool Vegas laser turrets too. Fog needs to be removed from rotation. It adds nothing, and is just an irritating visual downgrade.

Sword melee needs fixing still.

XP rates on some gadgets (Data Reshaper, Gravity Cube) needs rebalancing. It's nonexistent on some.

The stun needs removing from the winch. It gives free damage by disabling your opponent's gun for a second.

Terminal Attack being 90+% lights is most of the reason itās not an enjoyable game mode to play. Thereās no strategy itās just kill kill kill. The awesome thing about end of season 2 cash out tournaments is that there was an actual strategy to the game.
Terminal Attack should be less about killing the whole other team and more about planting/defusing the key.
Please remove Kyoto from the game, or at least terminal attack. The buildings are cancer to play in and I hate it. Maybe it's a skill issue, I don't know.
Map needs more natural movement, less mediums rn so itās very apparent how long these walks are on the map, middle of the map is so open so your kinda forced to play on the side of the map

The Finals remains my favorite game. However, the changes to ranked play in Season 3 are disappointing. Ranked matches are now locked under Terminal, and Cashout moved to the World Tour lacks true ranks, diminishing the drive to compete. This shift has led many of my friends to stop playing entirely, as ranked was our main motivation. While I continue to play the casual game modes, I hope the developers bring back Cashout ranked mode to restore the competitive edge that made the game unique and engaging.
Is there a hotfix coming anytime soon? This shit is going to kill the game if it's not addressed in a matter of days

After playing for a while I've got to admit that World Tour lacks some of the charm of the old ranked because if you play Solo most of the times you are doomed, the chances of going with noobs, trolls or people leaving early are too high, and I've noticed there's a lot less players using the mic to communicate, not even the chat.
TA is nice but it also suffers from horrid matchmaking if you play solo, the difference between going with friends and solo is wild. So now playing solo is a lot less viable than it used to be, which I think will likely throw a lot of people off, even if you got TA feeling a lot better now (I do think it's very enjoyable if you get a team that actually wants to try and knows how to play the game).
That said, give us 9 loadouts please, I want to buy more skins but I lack a reason because I don't have slots. Give us 3 extra loadout slots and you'll get insta $50 from me in multibucks. There's too many cool skin and weapon combos to be locked to just 6 loadouts.

I would rather deal with MHH composition in cashout than deal with 5 lights all running LH1s, sniper rifles, sonar grenades, and invis. It's impossible to go against. You get picked off from across the map and what can you do? Absolutely fucking nothing. This game is not balanced for Terminal Attack. If you're not running lights with long range guns, you get 0-7ed every single game. It's stupid as fuck.

please rework cloak to have low activation cost but run out faster the longer cloak is active. this way you aren't punished for activating your cloak and instead punish cloak users for staying invis too long and camping with it. it would also differentiate cloak and vanish bomb more (cloak for using invis in quick short bursts during fights, and vanish bomb for safely getting away when low or to sneak up on players) being able to toggle invis on and off is what makes cloak good, using up a 3rd of the ability to activate cloak sucks. as it is rn, it feels just like vanish bomb but in your specialization slot

I was trying to have fun with a friend of mine, but she couldn't play any game mode other than competitive before playing a competitive round. We didn't have much time to play, so this immediately ruled out finals as an option. Please don't do this.

Everyone hates TA we love the finals for the unique game it is please keep it that way. TA was a limited time event people played for shoes yet you use those numbers to replace it with cashout? People play this game casually more than competitively. (I play it both ways) So ofc TA would have more people in it when it was casual a lot of FPS games are like that. What you did with the game and world tour is amazing how you can progress even playing casually but ranked cashout should have never been taken out. With the cashout ranked changes us cashout enjoyer (the majority of your game) feel like you are telling us one thing and doing another.

Facts. I barely play dash light mp5 and sub par with it, but once you know what to do it clicks. Won a match in season 2 with cashouts completed as 2/0/0 against a lobby with 6 heavies with another light and medium on my team, using basic things like the traversal options, faster movement speed, smaller build, and that they have no healer. They can't move fast? Then start the cashout at the farthest location. They have no mobility? Take the high ground. They can one shot you? Let them fight each other first, it's a battle of attrition with 3 heavies vs 3 heavies. What happens if they do a 2 mesh shields and 3 dome shields start capping your cashout? Use the small build, dash in there, headshots only point blank, then get out. Didn't use stun instead used pyro against shields. Granted, still died alot but the regen change should fix that this season and rpg should be a destruction tool instead of a source for high damage.

hey I am a PC player and i have an issue with the WEAPON WHEEL setting in the key binds it actually is not working I don't know if there is an issue with controller but hope you patch it in the next patch notes
Hear me out.. the player base is divided over Terminal Attack (TA) and Cashout Ranked, I personally didn't expect this much backlash over a change but it is what it is, but there are players who love cashout but would rather play TA ranked over Cashout ranked and then there's new players who might play either one, i get that the maps are 'too big' for TA and it needs some more changes to make it work which i assume they are working on from the feedback, even the devs believe TA could be more competitive and balanced for comp scene BUT people just want cashout ranked.
So what I'm saying is why cant we have two ranked modes? don't blame the queue times if you prefer playing one or the other mode, or is it balancing for two modes? well we already have rulesets solely for TA and we can have separate rules for both, its better to have options than forcing players who do not want to play cashout for its never changing meta or the issues with 3rd or 4th partying or the matchmaking. This way we might get more players playing ranked or get enough data if TA doesn't work at all.
On that note i do have a couple cashout changes which i think will make it fair,
Split the total amount of cash between teams who hold it the most, i.e. team A hold the cashout for 60% and team B steals it and takes the rest 40% so if the station was cashing out 10k team A and B would get 6 and 4k respectively.
Randomise/Procedural spawns of cashout stations.
Randomise spawns close to the objective, like close to 100m from the obj. spawning 200m or half way across the map right at the end to steal or defend your obj is so frustrating.
Remove SBMM. RBMM or MMR is the way. This goes for casual modes too
if you call a 95% to 5% a "divide" then sure......nobody wanted this as the main ranked mode. period.

I thought the FCAR had been nerfed into the ground, then I went into the training to realise it doesn't feel different at all. It's just in case my hits aren't actually registering at all.
I feel like I have a 50% damage debuff trying to play, it's literally that bad.
I also cannot find any ranked games in OCE, so I play on Asia, which normally was barable, but now it's unplayable.

as I imagined from day 1 of the game, the game would be ruined by whiny main light kids and melee weapon loving noobs. The light ones who cry from day 1 for every fucking thing, the light ones if you know how to play a minimum are really strong, but the light ones are never happy they always ask for buffs they want more damage they want more mobility they want more health! you are ridiculous, you are only interested in being the most op, not caring about other classes and team play just to make kill videos and feel like a pro player and imitate streamers, the abuse of light is shameful. Learn to play light and be a team player instead of asking them to make your life easier. However, if the game is in this situation it is the fault of the developers who do not have the courage to make their own decisions and listen to and follow the community too much.

Even if you hit an enemy, the enemy can walk out, and even when you hit an enemy using a zipline, the enemy ignores it and passes by, and when you use a goo gun, the goo that hits the enemy doesn't break as easily as before. Please fix goo like goo patch before. Make goo work as before, but just fix the issue where players can crash into goo on moving platforms and get stuck.

It seems that some people hate melee players. But this game allows melee as the main weapon and that's the fact. Light characters have dodge and hook, heavy characters have glue guns, collisions and iron claws, only medium characters' melee are worried about chasing people every day. If you want to refute this, please try to catch up with me with a riot shield or dual swords. I will use a medium and fight you on the springboard until the end of the game, so that you will look like a clown, or I can use a heavy to hit you like a big truck, or use a light to walk you like a dog. Medium melee is useless, that's the fact.

im sorry someone ran with the cashout thing when they have 1 cashout already ended and they ran for a total of 3 minutes on kyoto. I need to hear why they don't have it to where you have to get both cashouts to win, we couldn't see the cash box, it wouldn't show them at all and we had no clue where they were at all. BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here are a few ways that can improve the shield, as it underperforms against any other ranged and melee weapon. I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- The shield should block a larger area of the body to make it more consistent at blocking melee, bullets, and splash damage. Players with decent aim can easily hit the arms and legs which defeats the whole purpose of it.
- Blocking melee attacks should inflict a knockback to prevent melee weapons from clipping through and scoring a second hit with the active frames.
- Increase the melee range, even just +1m of range would make it feel so much better to catch enemies that were just outside your range before.
- Electrify the baton and allow it to glitch enemies for a very short period, it would provide a lot of team utility and prevent dash lights and charge and slam heavies from effortlessly hard countering shielders
FIX THE RIOT SHIELD BUGS:
- When picking up throwables in the arena, the first person shield model gets messed up and blocks your entire screen.
- Remove the fov and turning speed reduction when you raise the shield to block, it makes it overly clunky to use and feels terrible in a fast pace environment.
HOLDING THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
GIVE SMOKE GRENADES TO ALL CLASSES:
- Give smoke grenade to all classes! It would open so many strategies for the other builds! I would use smoke so much if it was on medium, especially to better support my team against fire, detection sources, or to help revive teammates, and steal cashouts in an open area.
FIX THE GLITCH TRAP:
- Glitched heavy can still use the winch claw and it doesn't stop chargeNslam

I don't know if you have considered doing a hall of casual social mode, players can wear their own clothes in the hall to move freely and socialize, there can be some small games for players to entertain, and even a large screen to play some of the top players against the video broadcast. This social venue can use some maps that were used for competitions before, such as Las Vegas, and I always think it's a shame that Las Vegas has beautiful maps that are just used to destroy and match.

The rpg needs a nerf but it doesnāt need a damage nerf, what I suggest is making the weapon swap speed, mainly with switching back to your normal gun after firing the rpg, take much longer, that way when you use it mid fight, the enemy gets a chance to just shoot at you, meaning it isnāt just a free bit of damage anymore

it's not gonna fix the mode. just like, think for a moment: mode can't be good if you have to cut off medium's 2 core abilities that made him unique.
simple fix to the mode is to put back cashout and keep working on it. if you want to keep TA - keep it in casual modes list.

Us as players donāt like it for ranked, new players feel the same for unranked. Picture yourself, loading into your first game of THE FINALS, expecting chaos and destruction. Yet you are met with five rounds of TA, where you get mild destruction, a little chaos. I get that it āintroduces themā but on the other hand it doesnāt show the full potential of how fun THE FINALS can be. As a new player, I would rather be forced to play 50 rounds of quick cash, than put myself through five rounds of TA. As a player from Season 1, I used to have so much fun in S1 and S2 playing Ranked cash out with my friends, but TA just isnāt fun. I donāt find myself with the motivation to play ranked anymore. I know there is world tour but I have always wanted a diamond skin, so if it stays as TA I will probably never get one.
I am once again asking for an abondon penalty. 40% of my games have me down 2 teammates. It is not fun to play when you are down in numbers. Punish players for repeatedly leaving mid-match. It's SO ANNOYING

BUFF M60 and very tiny buff to Lewis gun. Good heavy players used them and with slight adjustments, they will be perfect.
The balancing change to heavies LMGs currently only encourages bad heavy players who use RPG and charge and slam to crutch them even more. Same goes for good heavy players, which is just absolutely not fun to trade my earned recoil muscle memory for relying on the no skill required gadgets.

There's this one zipline in Seoul that's bugged out; I thought it was my account but apparently NO ONE can use it. It's the one where it brings you up to this metal pathway which is above the cashout on the wall (cashout located at the second floor)
If you guys don't wanna bring back ranked tournament because you want to rework it and bring it back better than ever in s4 that's cool but you really have to at the very least bring casual single round cashout back in some shape or form. The mode that will be used for twitch rivals is literally unplayable in the casual playlist and the only version you can play is the World Tour tournament one (which won't be used in twitch rivals because it literally cannot be used). New players are going to come to the game looking for Cashout.
You also need to disable the requirement of playing 5 matches of TA in order to unlock the other modes, this will leave a very sour taste in new players looking for the game they saw their favorite streamers play.
For terminal attack, since it's the r6 siege gamemode and siege maps aren't that entirely big, why not make it so a medium portion of the map is used each round instead of the whole map, those barriers that prevent players from exploring too early could also be used to close off the rest of the map.
Also, terminal is a bad mode, it completely takes away from what the hook of the Finals is.

Terminal Attack is horribly balanced right now. There are too many high damage weapons that one shot at 100HP. Invisibility, mines, RPG, charge and slam and turrets do not belong in a competitive mode. All damage being output should be directly from primary fire not passive gadgets.

It will limit how many cloaked lights you will find sitting around and as soon as you focus one all of them un cloak LH1. It will force more competitive team cohesion and build synergy.

Alright... I've given it a go. I put a lot of time in ranked last season. I have to say--not a huge fan. It's terrorists vs counter terrorists... if i wanted that I'd play CS. It's fine if people like this mode, but for those of us older games who were sick of the format... Just make world tour ranked as well. It was something semi novel-new with the team synergies. This crap is BOOOOOOOOOORING to me. Sure it's sweaty on a rare occasion, but overall... snore.
not sure if its as such an issue in other regions but OCE is ranked has only a small scene to the point where the ranked gap between teams can be great enough for a team to win and lose points
this may not be a problem later in the season especially if the player base gets fleshed out but seeing some sort of minimum points gained when a game is won could be something to consider

light was and might still be the weakest class. this is coming from a medium and heavy main. they tweaked LH1 too much cuz its too strong now but heavy and med were really strong. cashout had barely any lights every game. Now, heavy is lacking in TA ranked, but i think its roughly pretty fair atm. j gonna play more and see if meta shifts in TA ranked.

This game is dead on console, the player base is 80% pc, no one casual plays this game anymore, just sweaty passionate people who think they can be the next esports pro in a game that is not gonna get one, this game was fun in season 1 and the reason for that was the game didnāt take things too serious and the chaos was there, fast forward and cashout feels like a running simulator even if no one want to admit it but the action is lacking, TA just isnt what the finals is supposed to be e.g. the gadgets, maps, class system, weapons do not support this mode so ofcourse it would fail, powershift is fun however due incentive people just treat it like a tdm, this game has the potential to be great but its to late to recoup the player base as unfortunately people r stupid and make there decision at first glance not the second or third. I love the style this game has except the stupid new anime skin which frankly looks like fortnight, this game suffers from an identity crisis. not biased. they said the game is high octane fast paced and all the stuff, many people went just for this experience, and now they take it and force people to play unbalanced TA.
the problem with this mode is that they have to rebalance EVERYTHING. maps, guns, classes etc. the game was made for cashout and trying to force TA while balance is for high paced cashout is as bad as it can get.
i joined to play fast paced high octane shooter, but not another CoD or Siege S&D, and i think many people are here for the same reason.
also: yes we can do anything, we can tell them that this mode does not belong as a ranked mode and they must put it out.

They should allow sprinting while blocking with medium melee weapons. If that's too OP, allow it until you start taking damage, then it slows you,
the dual swords for medium makes you feel stupid for using them. Like the main problem with melee in the first place is that melee is never meant for medium players as they have 0 advantages over other classes. The light has agility and have the abilty to attack and evade at will using his fast pace movement speed and its dashes or hook. Ontop of that giving him the dagger which basically gives you the power to one shot any enemy(you can still insta kill heavy if you add the basic quick elbow attack). At the current state if you ever face a light player running a sword and dashes build you should stop playing and wait for your teamates to revive your body. As a heavy you may be slow but you can do alot of damage to the point where you can one shot a light which is respectable since the agility for the heavy class is not that great. Adding the chain pulling ability means its more about aim then movement. However the medium class can not beat a light player even by stealth since you require 2 hits to kill him and he outruns you. The dual swords suck since they are basically just a worse version of the riot shield. the twin swords need a buff for example you become faster if someone is shooting you and you are blocking. This is not the best cure as you still have NO CHANCE to beat a heavy using a hammer or flamethrower. The heavy wants you to get closer to him even by using his chain ability and will outrade you in damage.

I just wanted to say that I do like the RP ranking system it works very well and is a massive upgrade from last season but it would also be great if there were two ranked gamemodes kinda like cs with wingman and comp where you have a seperate rank for both and then justr add back cashout tournament. World Tour is a great addition and does feed that cashout fiend in me but it just doesn't have the same feel when all I get are some season points that can't even decrease
Ranked TA is so much boring and unbalanced. I remember devs said they'll rework TA for ranked but the only difference between previous TA and current is amount of rounds and the fact that now you have to interact with terminal as attacker to start timer...
IMO TA will be so much better if there will be:

⢠Limit of 2 L/M/H players in a team
⢠Passive healing to full HP
⢠If you don't want to turn full HP passive healing make amount of HP which can be restored correlate with player's class total HP

And before people say "skill issue" š¤”. My squad consists of 5 diamond players and we have currently played 16 games with an 80% win rate (counting cheater losses). We are bored every game we play and 50% of the people we used to play The Finals with have now left before trying the mode. The most fun part with playing Terminal Illness Attack is to joke about how boring the mode is and "how much fun we are having now guys, right, right?" We only play it for the Diamond reward at this point and we need to win like 40 games!!! People lose multiple times what they get from a win just because they get against good players or cheaters that has not placed yet and some people are even losing MMR from wins!? And this full ranked reset just make us feel bad for 7-0 little Timmy and his friends who just wanted to test the finals for the first time, we are legit decreasing the player numbers at this point š

We need someone at Embark who can deliver balance changes faster than a weekly basis. The game's meta changes basically every week because of the drastic changes made, but putting out more minor changes until people reach a more general consensus would probably be more beneficial to the game's community health by allowing the meta to change more often than a weekly basis, and the game bleeds players quickly after the release of every season due to a gun being too overpowered or underpowered

Light definitely has the easiest weapons, and the class encourages u to be cheesy adding more frustration to the game, i dont think they understand how to make an enjoyable experience for both sides, an rpg for example is just brain dead 80 dmg for free aoe shot which used to one hit light is frankly not enjoyable on the receiving end, balance in this game is all over the place with weapons like flamethrower and grenade launches being viable weapons over others which u actually need to aim with.

There's only one weapon that I like(d) using a lot: the SWORD.
I have 900+ hours on the game, 200+ in the practice range, 400+ of Sword Cashout / Ranked.
Now, why 200+ hours in practice range? Firstly to master emote cancelling. When that came out as an exploit, I immediatly started gadget swapping.
Now, I can understand removing emote cancelling, it's more than fair, but GADGET SWAPPING is a skill expression. Have you ever played League of Legends? Do you know about a champion named Riven, for example? She herself got some animation cancelling, which are very very hard to pull off, that's why she's considered one of the hardest champ to master. SKILL EXPRESSION.
Now, I'm not honestly enjoying the game anymore.
I get onetapped by heavies with flamethrower as I need to get close to them and by the time I reload a second lunge, I'm dead. I get ONESHOT by heavies with SPEAR, just one single right click. Lights who uses simple guns delete me, because there's not a window for a swordman to react anymore.
Please, nerf the damage, but at least re-implement gadget swapping. Playing sword is not rewarding anymore, despite having tried ANYTHING.

Season 3 contentwise is great, the weapons are cool and offer new experiences, the map is fresh and distinct, the gadgets and the winch claw offer some fun new gameplay and are overall great additions to the game.
There might be obvious issues with the balancing of the new weapons that are normal for newly released content but there is one big issue that is overshadowing all the positives of this season and it's the ranked changes.
TA is overall a boring, slow paced mode in a fast paced game, it stands out way too much in that regard and not in a good way. Forcing new players into 5 matches of TA before they can play anything else is an additionally baffingly stupid move that will drive away a lot of people expecting fast paced gameplay like in the trailers or youtube videos of people playing it. If I was forced into the current TA when I first tried the game I would close it after 2 matches and never open it again.
Additionally, TA is too different than cashout and when balancing it presents obvious issues to maintaining integrity between different gamemodes forcing you to either split the game into 2 different rulesets like you already started doing with the regen timers or choose one gamemode to prioritize when balancing which will make the other ones suffer.
Other than that, TA as a gamemode takes much less ingame space than Cashout, why would you have a full map made for potentially 12+ different fight locations (vaults and cashouts) per match only to then host a smaller gamemode on it? Aren't you wasting hosting resources doing that?
I'm not against having TA as a gamemode, even a ranked mode but why would you also choose to take cashout away and delegate it to a rotating secondary gamemode with limiting rulesets?
Why push both casual and ranked cashout players into one pool forcing worse players to endure constant seal clubbing at the hands of bored ranked players?
The argument of taking cashout off of ranked to make it better is stupid too, and I frankly think it's a lie since you guys only said the change is temporary after backlash, and after making countless changes to it mid season, you need to adress it as soon as you can.
Overall I sure hope this is some stupid higher up or CEO pushing for those changes because if it's actually you guys then i'm massively worried about the future of the game.

I have an issue with healing beam being in the game. It feels bad to not have one because chip damage happens all the time and you need to be able to recover quickly from fights to fight the next team and also always be engaging at full health. I have played many pvp games where healing becomes too much of an issue so they need to add anti-healing mechanics in the game and it just makes a convoluted mess. I imagine the game without healing beam and faster health regen for everyone. I think it would make the game better and make certain plays more impactful.
First of, Ottr isn't the end all be all judge of this game. If being a streamer and playing the game a lot makes you the final decision maker, hold my beer, I'll quickly make a channel so you'll listen to me. I've actually studied game design, worked on game balancing for several games AND I did play this game A LOT.
Once again, aside from the shotgun, Light's dps is BARELY higher than other classes. If you think dashing around like a madman is easy while being under fire and trying to aim while dashing like that... you should go play light in a competitive match a few times and then speak. You don't need to aim the RPG you know that right?
I've almost strictly played heavy in Kyoto and it's almost hilarious how easy it is to play it. There are enough jump pads around to move anywhere. Sure the IMMEDIATE area around the big tower is risky... but so is the giant street in syshorizon, same with monaco when it is duck duck cover, same with the bridge in Seoul that leads to the hospital. You wanna have 350 hp, numerous protective tools and numerous 1 shotting tools? LEARN TO LIVE WITH BEING A SITTING DUCK.
Now if you were to read more carefully, I mentioned how H is now oppressive with winch claw and close range weapons. As for Lewis and M60, my friend just got a 30+ kill game with 20k dmg two days ago using Lewis. Just because they nerfed the dmg a little doesn't mean it's crap. Just need to land 1-2 more bullets, if you can't...skill issue.
As for Light weapons. Have you tried shooting anything further than 15m with the XP54 or M11? You barely hit a thing. Knives? Buffs did make them super high in dmg but you still need to lead your shots a lot after 15 meters. SH1900? You need to be close enough to smell the heavy's underboob sweat to get that 2 tap.
YES, LH1/bows are oppressive... I think a small damage nerf would be nice. But remember, you are a heavy fanatic whining about other classes. I'm a medium/heavy user telling you to stop whining and be objective.

Buff LH1 more, maybe more damage and more magazine size? It isn't easy enough, I still see some people struggle with it. Light class needs to be easy to play. Remove range from Sonars, they already cover so much you are detected most of the match, you might as well remove the restriction, it is confusing specially with the broken visuals of it now. This will make your game even better, you're on the right track devs, keep cooking, just keep doind what you do. TO NEKRI above: You can hit stuff on the map, sending them to orbit, including your teams bubble shield, lol.

Light:
Revive Speed: Buff revive speed. I've been asking for this for a long time now. Making it 1 second shorter would increase their team viability immensely. Heavies can barricade/bubble in place to revive, and mediums use their magic cables, while lights need to run a marathon to find a safe space to avoid a random one-shot.
BOW: Very nice, not too strong. Maybe should have very slight inaccuracies mid-air like throwing knives.
BUG: Bow is visible during revive, obscuring vision.
3rd Person Bow Walk Animation: Very weird and could use some tweaks.
Sonar Grenade: Needs a nerf to the detection range.
LH1: Too strong in every way possible, needs nerfs, especially for terminal attack.
Thermal Bore: Should have area damage, collision/passthrough with enemy players, and deal around 40 damage. Also, it should have a 10-20% larger explosion.
Medium:
Dual Blades: Underwhelmingly weak. Needs damage buffs to primary attack and give medium a slight move speed buff. You cannot chase other mediums as you are the same speed. Maybe a 3-7% faster running speed to compensate for having no dash or invis cloak.
Heavy:
Claw: Should have a better visual for when you get hooked. Soft red borders/hooked display to clearly showcase lost control.
Claw needs slight nerfs to when what side of the grappled person can move and stun duration, etc.
Kyoto:
No complaints. Love the map and aesthetics. Was hoping for a 2200 version, aka hyperfuturistic Kyoto (even though Syshorizon covers that). Otherwise, super.
Events:
Low Gravity Event: Lasts too long and happens WAY too often in the last minutes of the match, making the game unplayable as melee. Getting beamed when you jump once.
Killfeed:
Should display enemy kills and cause of deaths. I often get 3rd-partied and want to know which team did it.
Team Damage:
I've been dying to team damage way too often recently as a sword player, dying to my team's gas and fire. Give friendly hazards a slightly longer damage time to begin. For example, make us cough more often or similar so we take less team damage.
Grenade Indicator:
Add a grenade indicator. Grenades are fine; I am okay with eating a whole grenade here and there, but sometimes you just donāt hear them in all the chaos. I want to see where they are roughly.

Skins for Gadgets and Items: Can we get some skins for gadgets and items that donāt have any yet? (Looking at Gateway [Portal gun you throw?], Pyro [Molotov], and Stun Gun [barcode scanner skin]).

I love this seasonās theme and battle passāthey all look great! The World Tour is a nice touch. However, in my personal opinion, I think the bow would have been better suited as a medium build new weapon, and the dual blades for the light build. Just a thought!

EMBARK Allow heavy players to throw their spears. But not unlimited like the throwing knives. Instead when u throw it once u have to wait for it to come back to ur hand kinda like Thors hammer. It's literally a SPEAR. And having to wait for it to come back even to engage in close range battle prevents it from being overpowered but viable longer distances. Maybe allow players to aim and throw it through by toggling on and off the aiming mode. WE NEED THIS IN THE FINALS.

The classes themselves (movement speed, health, regen, revive, etc.) feel fine to me. I would not touch that. Medium is still very strong but in a good place imo, the Katanas are also good, not absurdly strong but a really good pick, I would not buff them. Both Bow and LH1 seem a bit too strong though but not too much. I hate getting on the bandwagon but playing TA on Ranked feels like being stuck in Limbo, it takes forever, to me personally, it's boring and it is very monotonous. I however must say, I am really enjoying this 3rd Season nonetheless š

Let's get real, bro. I've played over 10 games since this morning, and in every single match, more than 60% of the players were lights. Guess what happened? Everyone was sprinting around with LH1, racking up kills, and at the end, lights had over 18 kills each. They can dash, go invisible, and grapple, making it a breeze to escape. The light class is straight-up obliterating entire teams in 1 vs 3 situations.
From your tone, it's clear you're just another light abuser who doesn't have a clue about the current state of heavy and medium gameplay. If a light can take down a heavy in a straight 1 vs 1, then the heavy class is a joke. No class should be so overpowered that it annihilates opponents in the blink of an eye. And mark my words, a fix is coming soon, so you better stop whining while you can.

The reality is, light is a incredibly overpowered class not because of it's dps output, but because of the max hp regen lock on all classes. You can sit across the map and lower the entire team's enemy hp to one shot level.

Just participated in a tournament and suddenly lost my internet connection. Restarting the router and connecting always takes about 10 minutes, and now I have a ban of 10 minutes as well.
I'm wondering, since my internet provider often has these problems and can't get them under control, if I'm putting my account at risk and could eventually get a permanent ban.
My internet provider doesn't care if I get banned from multiplayer games.
It's 2024 and these short-term internet outages were already happening in the early 2000s. Nothing has ever changed.
I just wanted to vent my frustration, as my account is important to me and The Finals has simply become my #1 game.
The same goes for the hit registration of the spear.
The primary sometimes just stabs right through people.
The Secondary is completely bugged and utterly useless. If you hit a shield or other defensive object with it, any subsequent hits won't register and deal no damage to players. The same goes for using it in buildings.
Allow healing, regen, revives (no coining) and cooldowns (put a 1.5x multiplier on cooldown length for defenders), increase round time, lower to best of 11.
This will bring a competitive and fair experience to ranked without sacrificing the chaos and fun that finals is known for.

I think some light guns need a little nerf but in reality light takes a lot of skill to use probably they just were good players an your team was bad, if all of you think light is the most op of them all try using it and see how you get erased.
I feel like they missed an opportunity to not give the heavy the ability to throw the spear for some close/medium range damage potential. It could either be picked back up again or "respawn" after a couple of seconds...

Was a bit cautious but still optimistic for S3, but not gonna lie, I'm not in favor of it anymore as well. First and foremost, "Cashout will never leave the spotlight as the most important part of THE FINALS.", while new players are required to play 5 matches of TA to unlock other modes such as quick cash. The vault and cashout gameplay is so unique and made me fall in love with this game.
Health regen values, guardian turret change, glitch mine rework, and gadget changes are all good. Alongside some minor weapon tweaks and improvements to useability such as KS-23 pump rate.
Now the bad.
Remember when cloak light db spam that can 2-shot any class in S1? Well, now we have throwing knives (where nobody uses the charge attack anymore its all spam), bow with no falloff, LH1 buffed even more, and db is back to being able to 2-shot any class.
Remember when light stun gun spam giving free kills? Well, now we have the winch claw for heavy that not only stuns, but also pulls and allows them to do a survivable point blank rpg.
What happened to the "long ttk" gameplay?
The CL40 was given a damage nerf and a fire rate buff, making it one of the second lowest dps to the lowest dps weapon. The only reason for this is due to it's burst being too good in TA but in terms of TTK, is one of the slowest and will lose most duels if not careful. This change made it unable to fight against heavies and emphasized the long reload time due to the 4 rounds being gone quicker.
In s2 ranked, despite it being a poor pick, I still brought it to plat. It's main gimmick is despite the low dps, you need to play safely/area denial and learn its trajectory for mid-long shots. The fire rate, reload, and ammo was low but it was rewarding to hit direct hits.
Overall. Didn't care about TA, but if core game and balance changes are catered to it instead of the core gameplay of the game it will mess up balances for other modes. Showing more that, already built gameplay and balance isn't fit for it.
light invis seems to actually make them invisible this season - used to have very little issues hearing/tracking but the last few days has been impossible - not sure if it's got anything to do with the weird motion blur thingy going on, but yeah - genuinely cannot see light players atm

I sometimes drop from 180 to like 65 fps in a few seconds. They should make destruction rendering more efficient. Or add an option to decrease destruction details.
Hey embark: I love all your cosmetics and the effects of certain items as well, however, if there was a way to toggle of the effects of certain cosmetic items that would be amazing, for instance, the black cowboy hat that adds a black and white filter is cool and all, but it removes a lot of colour choices, so an option to toggle items with effects on and off or even add effects as a sellable cosmetic for season pass and shop. The main problem I have with cashout ranked, and just the tournaments generally is the 3rd partying while the 4th team gets a free objective, doesnt feel great for the 3 teams fighting or the 1 team thats doing nothing.
My suggestion to fix this is to stagger the vault spawns, make one spawn at the start of the game, then another about 2 minutes into the game, then they respawn once cashed out. This will make it so all the teams converge on the same objective, so the players will know how many teams are showing up and be expecting it, while not having the chance for the one team to be bored defending an objective no one is attacking. Ive seen multiple times that teams go full games without getting into fights just by chance of the objectives the other teams chose to attack.
Idk how this would play out in actual practice, and im sure you thought about it because i have. But thats a solution i think could be interesting for the 3v3v3v3 tournament format

I think TA is a great mode, it's more competitive than cash out, but you need to fix some things:

Make the maps smaller, like restrict it with boarders like you do in the beginning of each round.

Set a maximum for how many can run each class, like 2 of each maximum so you can't run 5 lights, or restrict how many can use the same gun/equipment.

Make health regen back to full, so it is possiable to clutch in a 1v3/4/5 situation.

Breadsie - DPS output is what makes lights bad in medium/close fights. I totally see where you're coming from when you mention how lights can snipe you as you are approaching the objective, but do you really think snipers are that easy to use close range? Once again... I AGREE, LH1 NEEDS A NERF, stop mentioning that. But sniper requires REAL skill in close range fights. At that point, you gotta learn to use the environment to block sight and perhaps use shield when rushing objectives.

Let me rehash for you... in a simulated situation, if two sides were to shoot at each other, M/H has average dps of 150~ whereas L has 170-180. Hence other classes win. Also, when did I say "shoot your feet with the rpg"? You're dumb if you do that, but you can easily shoot at their feet 6-7 meters away and you're fine.
Please add Hispanic/latino faces as a customization option. The contestant is supposed to represent you. Kinda weird having to pretend to be other races. Hi guys! about a week ago, I wrote you feedback about cashout mode. And now I would like to tell you some interesting ideas that came to my mind while I was playing terminal attack rating mode.
First, it would be great if the defenders spawned immediately at a point and there was a gate between the two points, allowing them to teleport back and forth for quick preparation for defense. In this way, the preparation time can be reduced to 10 seconds, and the portal between the points can close after about 15 seconds.
Secondly, It would be great to weaken the turrets and RPGs, as well as make a certain limit on the same gadgets (including turrets, mines, sonar grenades, etc.).
Third: If the light class restores 100 health, then it would be fair if the middle class restored 150 health, and the heavy 200. Fourth: If possible, then I would like a certain limit on the number of identical classes, sometimes it is very sad to see a game with 4 light classes in a team, most often leading to defeat.
Fifth: Now playing for defenders, it is completely unclear which side the attackers will be from, especially for beginners, in this case it would be nice to mark the spawn point of the attackers (A - Attackers) during preparation for defense (maybe a little more than this time).
Sixth: I believe that the key should be a status, not a portable object. Now the mode is shifted towards defenders, and attacking the point by controlling the key is even more difficult.
So far, these are all the thoughts that came to me while playing this mode in the new season. I'm enjoying it!
But it would be great if you tried to implement my past suggestions into cashout mode (such as dividing the vault reward into two halves, the first part is gradually credited as you hold, the second part can only be obtained by completing the hold to the end). I assure you this will take the game mode to a new level.

"Rushdown Playstyles" Are almost unplayable
-Most of light's weapons still gets shutdown too easily, except if the weapon you are using are LH1 and Double Barrel. Even then LH1 is a zoner weapon. Both weapons are extremely overtuned.

Solution that sounds incredibly wild: Give weapons attachments such as sights, muzzles, grips, perks similar to Titan Fall 2. It might be a nightmare to add in, however it will significantly improve the game long term.
Why aren't we getting rewarded for playing World Tour?
What happened to getting all these sick skins for ranking up to the top in the regular Finals mode? There is basically 0 reward for playing their supposedly 'main focus' mode now. Sure, we get a few multibucks, but other than that you get maybe a cool medal or something, and a bragging right. I've played Terminal Attack with my usual squad of 3 now and we simply can't enjoy that mode, as we fell in love with this game due to its fast pace and high action, which Terminal Attack is not about. And now there is nothing to work up towards in regular ranked mode either, unless there is some reward system we have completely missed behind the World Tour.
I love that the developers are experimenting and investing into newer game modes and all that, and I love the idea of ranked Terminal Attack, but I hate that the ones who fell in love with this game to begin with are not getting rewarded at all for playing what we love.

Cause I want to report hackers/Scripters in their steam account instead as I believe that would also works decently by banning them in steam or etc. Or at least ik is it my skill issue or enemy hacks.

And also FPS is dying, im using i7 - 10870H 2.2Ghz CPU and RTX 3060 graphics card but I can't get a stable 60 FPS even though I lowered the qualities to low it frequently fluctuate around 40FPS to 60FPS when in game and while on Menu it goes around 100FPS .
I stopped playing the game from march and hopped on again for S3. I'm noticing a significant drop in fps. Previously it was at a playable levels, but now im getting frames as low as 25. What happened?

hi, i am not having fps drops but I have another problem that makes the game unplayable for me. Its some kind of "Smooth stuttering". Does anyone have the same issue and know how to fix it? It's already public information, as it shows during the intro. It's just really tiny and easily missed.
Putting it on the scoreboard near the class just makes strategising easier too, without having to devote too much memory.

1.) Alright so what needs to happen is that LH1 needs a bigger nerf to the rate of fire, I think itās okay the amount of damage it does but you shouldnāt be able to put out as much damage as quickly as youāre able to considering the gun is a laserbeam, Iām over here destroying players health bars from across the map.
2.) I would give a pretty big buff to the hip fire of the revolver because the gun has very little versatility as it is, I think the damage and fire rate is perfect on it and potential maybe improve the reticle on it???
3.)Now to the MP11, now I know MP11 isnāt a horrible gun but up close thatās where itās supposed to be dominating at and I feel like the XP54 does that just as well and it has much better range so why would you ever pick the MP? I think as long as the damage is kept the same and they donāt buff it in any other way buffing the hip fire will be perfect to making it a better competitor for the XP
4.) alright last thing is the TKs, now all I really feel these need is either some type of reload animation added every 4 knives thrown or they need to slow the rate at which you throw them because these things decimate anything up close, I ran around today cloaked and hit so many 2-3 pieces just because they werenāt able to react to me quick enough

GAINING LIKE 70+ RS FOR WIN AND LOSING -930 RS FOR A SINGLE LOSS BECAUSE THE ENEMY TEAM HAD A CHEATER IS STUPID, the ranked changes along with the game mode just makes this more frustrating and has lost a large amount of ranked players, even reaching Gold gets you around Top 500 very easily despite it not being a high rank.

There are a ton of issue with the new ranked system but please donāt rip it out and rebuild from the ground up again. This is a great framework for a ranked system it just needs tuning. (Not including about terminal attack, that shit can be removed)

this exact thing is making the dagger equal with an hard mode. if you die, you just comitted at the wrong time. you supposed to take them out in millisecond and dissapear. usng goo grens to close up on them to get the perfect distance then one dash or 2 and bang. most players cant kill you while 2 dashes.

Light's weapons need to be tuned down a bit. it's supposed to be a class with the highest skill ceiling but by giving every light a vaporizer gun it makes the game a lot less fun for the other classes. Especially when every match has so many light's now, almost every power shift has atleast 3/4..

Terminal Attack is a horrible decision for ranked, people came here to the discord specifically to shit on the gamemode but its genuinely a bad decision. If we wanted Terminal Attack, we would play any other ranked 5v5 gamemode out there. Like: CS2 and Valorant. We dont need any 5v5 stupid gamemodes. The cashout gamemode was new and felt fun, suspence in every match. But forcing everyone to have to play TA is cruel. All of my buddies have stopped and Im more disappointed than angry.

Ofc, but I have been playing dagger since early season 1, and I am one if the first to play it like that, you might have seen my montages on yt. And this season I am just really demotivated, dagger just is not fun to play into light, Ofc Its possible but there is so much bs happening in those 1v1s compared to medium/heavy. And there is no ranked mode anymore and world tour is the same repetitive maps so usually I would go into comp to play into few lights but thats not an option anymore
The LH1 damage buff is so unfun to play against, you have literally no chance if your enemy has a slight amount of aim. His hitbox is smaller, he can move faster and kill a medium with 5 shots??
Terminal attack was fine as a temporary event mode. It was bearable to play it enough to complete the event challenges last season. Making it your sole ranked experience is insane. It does not fit the fast pace of The Finals gameplay at all.
After last season removing our ability to see our ranked score and then this season moving everything to TA, Iām losing a lot of hope in this games longevity. I completed four of my placements and Iām dreading playing four more to get placed, let alone play the rest of the season.
I Spent all of last season grinding from Copper all the way to Plat 2, I was happy and fulfilled with the progressions and the feeling of the game. Forcing me to change game modes entirely to a game mode that was supposed to be a test or a limited time is just ridiculous. I didnt invest any time into learning how TA changes the maps the gamestyle or anything. I was busy SOlO grinding up in the gamemode that we all fell in love with. Very disappointed with the start of this season. The unbalanced weapons need a serious rehaul. LH1 especially. All TA is is 5 lights running around hip firing and killing me in 2 shots. Progression is dead. I thought they would get it right this time around, but that added to many things with too many imbalances. Please please please nerf these METAs.

Embark i really love your game and have played since CB2 - Have been on board with most of the changes you guys have put in place but need to say that Terminal attack for ranked was not the move. Maps are not built for this as well as the game mode isnt balanced for this version of the game - Im all for trying new things but feel you should focus on what captivated so many people to begin with and work on it - If you put the effort into optimizing cashout/ranked tournament rather than the fad limited game modes i feel this is better for the loyal community who have stuck it out as well as build out the core that people can work towards and get better at.

If you look at games with similar weapon balancing and player health pools to the finals you will notice they dont revolve around and search and destroy mode whilst games that do revolve around a search and destroy mode typicaly have a more level playing field. Siege, CSGO and Valorant are all games where the primary game mode is search and destory they all have low health pools for players and super low ttk. Its strange how the dev team thought more overwatch style huge hp pool characters with low ttk would work in a mode where all other industry leading games in said category do the complete opposite. It's almost like the finals was built for cashout and taking away revives and certain utillity doesnt balance the game for search and destroy.

Quick Idea too make more weapons viable: Customizble Sights, i think way more weapons would be used if u dont forced into iron sights at some weapons, maybe the famas would be viable or a mini red dot on the 93R maybe? I just learned that new players are being forced to play 5 matches of TA.... that is a fantastic idea for killing all hype for THE FINALS.
I feel awful for new players that are going to miss out on the amazing-ness that is Cashout because it's being gate kept by a game mode not suited for the Finals. There's been multiple people who already uninstalled because they got bored of having to play TA.

The finals would really suit a takedown gamemode where two teams of 5 attempts to frag the other. Each time a player dies, re-spawn times get longer. The first team to have all 5 players dead at the same time loses the round. The game consists of 7 rounds. The first team to win 4 rounds wins the match. This best of 7 would be for casual however if it would be ranked it should be best of 13.
This gets rid of the third party issue that embark is worried about in cashout mode and would be more fast paced than terminal attack

None of the top players can climb because they will play for hours winning 100 points at a time just to lose 2-4K to a single cheater. Cheaters used to be manageable in cash out but they are not being actioned on fast enough and are murdering the integrity of the leaderboard since they can solo a lobby. If embark was hoping TA and ruby would save the game they need to not have fumbled this rollout in such a significant way.

I really like the World Tour thing you guys have set up. Itās new (apart from other comp shooters), itās pretty refreshing, and the new map feels really different and interesting to play on. Personally, I havenāt had any MAJOR issues with FPS drops, as I know how to optimize my PC settings for balanced performance/graphics quality. I DO have a few notes. Iāll put them in list form:
-It still seems that thereās a decent amount of server instability (at least on US-East servers). This seems to mainly happen on the new map, especially during times of high world level destruction periods (such as a large building falling over, it seems the gameās own physics is causing the server to lag)
-Terminal Attack as a ranked mode is a pretty cool idea, though I feel making it the MAIN section of The Finals āRankedā is kind of a clunky system. World Tour (or Cashout IN GENERAL) seems like it could be a good fit for the ranked system that is being used on Terminal attack, plus, as Iām sure itās been previously mentioned, if players wanted to play a 5v5 tac shooter with a ābombā and ābomb sitesā, thereās plenty of other well-established games. Terminal attack isnāt a BAD, but it feels like forcing it to be the MAIN ranked mode. Perhaps it wouldnāt be a bad idea to have the two modes be āequallyā rewarding, both with ranked modes that either have their own rewards, or build up to the same rewards, either one works.
-It feels as if damage registration in the servers feels a little OFF. I donāt know how to explain it, but Iāve had it happen many times (to me AND my teammates) where our bullets/projectiles will fly directly through opponent players and do NO damage. This is also observable when we throw some things like grenades, it feels like the explosions or effects come seconds later than when we actually threw them.
-I would LOVE to see yāall try and make a solo cashout or bank it mode! Maybe an 8-12 player FFA?
-people need to stop being mean, the devs are trying their best.

as a mgl main, yes. it takes an entire clip on heavy, 4 shots on medium. if my grenades dont explode on impact let them do a little damage. its already a skill shot to hit players with them. its the highest skill cap weapon in the game and the shitties weapon. really sucks as its the most enjoyable but i can never take a fair fight with it

I think m60 damage reduction was crazy to do, like with the new recoil pattern it'd be a lot more balanced and force you to hold down fire and make use of the massive mag. And I think mgl only needs an arena damage buff, player damage is still fine if you use it right.
And got 93r needs such a buff, like the best case scenario you aim at nipple height at mid range and land 3 shots with the last being a headshot

A few takes I have on light class
Stim pistol
- they should have a specialization that is kinda like docs stim pistol from r6 but instead of healing it gives them a speed boost and they can give their teammates the speed boost too giving light a more team based kit (which they need) and if the speed boost is too much it can be oversheild instead giving light over shield would be better for lights in fights bc they're a glass cannon class
X ray vision
- lights can look through walls to see where a good entry spot would be, where mines are and where opponents are in that room this won't function like recon bc it won't ping/highlight people just give lights a better way to position and know their whereabouts and would work similar to thermal vision
Removing cloak for some other specialization
- my reasoning on this is because there's vanishing bomb which imo is more useful than cloak because you can make your teammates invisible the finals is a team game why not give light more of a team but still solo based gadgets
Giving the grapple hook two or three charges
- this makes grapple users less prone to dying after using their grapple hook or using it accidentally and will be better overall for grapple hook
that's a good point. I distinctly hate SnD in games like this or Call of Duty with higher TTK. CS:GO, Valorant, etc are all games where you can die from stubbing your toe. It's too hard to make a high TTK game have a gamemode with one life. There are combos that you can do with your teammates to individual players to basically drain their health almost instantly because the game was built around the high TTK and respawn modes.

-Winch hook > remove ability to hook player.(yes really)
-Mesh shield > Reduced HP from 1000 to 750.
-M60 > increase damage drop off range by 10 meters.
-Lewis gun > cleanup the recoil pattern to have less aggressive horizontaly.
-Charge and slam > reduce damage by half so you can instantly kill M.
Medium:
-Dual swords > Remove the ability to deflect, instead blocks for half of incoming damage, lower movespeed while deflecting
-Turret > Add a attack delay of 0.5s so it doesnt instantly shoot you..
Light:
-Bow > reduced projectile speed.
-Throwing daggers > Make the projectiles lose velocity and damage over distance.
-Sword > increase the swing time and derease the attack speed.
-93R > increase damage and range
Explo mines > damage from multi mines exploding from multiple sources do not stack. Damage reduced from 140 to 80.

It feels like heavyās weapons are pretty weak at the moment.

Terminal Attack rework:
- No heals
- No revives
- Best of 6 (60k)
Attackers and defenders spawn in with 20 second wait time.
The attackers attack 1 of the 2 optional points and the defenders have to defend. If any player dies, they don't respawn until a their full team dies. If the attackers get the encryption key to the terminal, the defenders have the normal time to decrypt it. If all the defenders die the terminal finishes and the attackers gain money (10k which is equal to 1 point). The defenders will then have to wait the usual 20-25 seconds. This stays consistent with the established branding of the finals.
If all the attackers die, they don't respawn until the defenders can decrypt the terminal or the terminal finishes. Once decrypted the defenders gain money (10k), or if they somehow fail to decrypt it then the attackers gain 10k. Once this happens the attackers have to wait a 20-25 second respawn.
When either the attackers succeed in loading the key in the terminal and the time has finished or they have killed the defenders; when the defender manages to decrypt the terminal or kill the attackers before they reach the key to the terminal: the attackers have to get a new key that will spawn somewhere in the map - they will just have to pick it up to retrieve it. Meanwhile the defenders go to the new 2 defending points.
This repeats until it has happened 3 times. Once this happens the teams will switch so defenders become attackers etc. The switched teams will also have 3 rounds to fight. If there is a tie breaker so for example, defenders gain 30k in first half then new defenders gain 30k in second half then the sides switch again for the match point.
This gets rid of the slow, annoying wait times before each round and there will only be a wait when the half switches. As a result it will result in the normal fast paced experience of The Finals whilst still being a familiar search and destroy (albeit with The Finals experience) @pearl kiln
There's currently a glitch, with the heavy winch claw, that makes it so that light players who are eliminated whilst grabbed with it, will be bugged out. Some of the effects of this bug I've seen are:
- They will be unable to activate their specialization
- Unable to interact with things in the arena that require a button to be pressed (Zip-lines, doors, carriables, reviving)
- Makes the player unable to crouch (but you can still slide for some reason, but you're standing up whilst doing it) thereby making it so that you can't go through vents and such
- The player will have a slight delay in movement from when the user would make an input
- And the POV of the player seems to be slightly raised
All of these effects will last until the round is over, even upon death nothing will change
As far as I'm concerned, it seems that the player gets stuck in a state of being grabbed, which then locks them from doing these things. I really hope we can find a fix for this soon, as it will make an entire round unplayable, and practically unwinnable.
give medium a weaker grapple (like a grapple gun) or somthing to leave fights due to vaulniribility with dual swords to make them a viable choice
after cloaking there should be a small window (1s or similar) where taking damage doesnt de-cloak you.

Takes way too long to unlock new weapons, and have maybe played the new map 1 out of 10 games. New content drops and havenāt been able to play with any of it. Really wish you wouldnāt make it such a grind. Would have liked to see some new guns also, just melee and a bow.

As someone who already loves the winch claw so much, I do think that it needs to be nerfed/fixed, it can reach THROUGH shields (but this is debatable on whether it's fair or not, heavy doesn't have any tools to directly counter shield users), and what you stated there doesn't seem fair either

I've been playing since the beginning of S1. Reached Diamond in S2. 550+ hours spent in game. I have very mixed feelings on the early days of S3.
Aesthetically speaking, the game is still as stunning as ever. The Japan theme was an excellent choice, the new skins are very good, Kyoto is visually stunning and filled with details.
I've played one game of TA ranked. It was incredibly boring and I probably won't be back. The mode failed to convince me during S2 already. Making it the only ranked mode was a critical mistake. I'm afraid it was decided by Nexon, seeking to attract players from other similar FPS games. Many publishers have this vision that replicating what works elsewhere is the way to go. Embark has to defend its project and community there. Tell Nexon executives they made the wrong choice. We are playing The Finals for its unique Cashout mode. It's what made this game stand out, and what will ultimately make it succeed. Anything else may very well kill this game.
My other problem with S3 is the dynamic between classes. Light class got several nerfs during S2. It needed buffs to compensate. Health regen was a good call. The weapons buffs not so much.
Playing M/H, it now feels like you have to try harder than ever to defeat swarms of L with higher mobility and DPS. You can't really escape, you can't afford to miss your shots either, while getting constantly spammed with LH1/TK/bow. Unless you resort to oppressive tactics yourself. It doesn't feel right.
The issue is glaring on Kyoto, which was obviously designed to favor CQC. But the dense bamboo forest, and big buildings with small rooms that are very easy to destroy make fights too chaotic. It wouldn't be as bad if M/H had slightly higher DPS weapons, but then this would probably throw balance off on all other maps. I don't know.

Back again to remind Embark that whoever is deciding balance needs to be fired, they are useless at their job. I got about 1/3rd of a season in me with stupid balance decisions before I call this game over. YOU KNOW they're dumb when they say in the patch notes "should incentive headshots" but they make the LH1 3 tap lights and mediums to the body, like how dumb can you be honestly, first knives, now this. If people suck at getting in and doing damage and can't get that slither of health remianing by going back in or just while they're in then let them suck, why you keep buffing light so they don't need team mates I do not understand. You don't have an asnswer it's just dumb, it's not thinking, sort it out.

I agree.. Played about 15 games of Power shit and have gotten Kyoto once. As a casual person who wants to come play when I have time, there needs to be some balance done with the game. New weapons feel OP, don't have them unlocked so can't test. But I'm just getting smashed with melee, and bows. Medium ranged guns feel like they are lacking now. Again I have to say I want to play new content and after 15 games still haven't been able to unlock one of the new weapons, and have played the new map once. Think I'm going to take a break until I see some changes to the grind, and balance changes to weapons. Its not fun to grind for nothing, and get smashed with OP weapons I can't unlock. To many melee weapons also isn't this game suppose to be a shooter, need more guns in the game. Japan is an awesome setting but I don't think time was put into thought on the new weapons and the weapon balance.
BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here are a few ways that can improve the shield, as it underperforms against any other ranged and melee weapon. I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:
- While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
- The shield should block a larger area of the body to make it more consistent at blocking melee, bullets, and splash damage. Players with decent aim can easily hit the arms and legs which defeats the whole purpose of it.
- Blocking melee attacks should inflict a knockback to prevent melee weapons from clipping through and scoring a second hit with the active frames.
- Increase the melee range, even just +1m of range would make it feel so much better to catch enemies that were just outside your range before.
- Electrify the baton and allow it to glitch enemies for a very short period, it would provide a lot of team utility and prevent dash lights and charge and slam heavies from effortlessly hard countering shielders
FIX THE RIOT SHIELD BUGS:
- When picking up throwables in the arena, the first person shield model gets messed up and blocks your entire screen.
- Remove the fov and turning speed reduction when you raise the shield to block, it makes it overly clunky to use and feels terrible in a fast pace environment.
HOLDING THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:
- Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta
GIVE SMOKE GRENADES TO ALL CLASSES:
- Give smoke grenade to all classes! It would open so many strategies for the other builds! I would use smoke so much if it was on medium, especially to better support my team against fire, detection sources, or to help revive teammates, and steal cashouts in an open area.
FIX THE GLITCH TRAP:
- Glitched heavy can still use the winch claw and it doesn't stop chargeNslam

Man i m 100% with you i manage to solo q to diamond in s2, as a medium and for me the game was balanced, rank was decent with a good teamā¦. But rn i m not enjoying anything, the new map is gorgeous but soo bad optimised and every fps drop gets you killed, rank is full of a mix of players that ether play for kills or not as a team. Yah light need it a buffed⦠but not to the dmg but on they lifeā¦. Rn medium is the lowest then ever, at least heavy can rpg them, immobilise them⦠all the light class weapons got so buffed that ttk is the highest in game and combined with huge mobility is hard to do smthing to them. Me and my friends we try it in a private mach and light always gets on top, can take heavy shilds out and spam the lh1 and 3 shots and dead 2 on medium with 1 headshotsā¦the revolver always does 99% dmg and 1 hp letf lft you killed, fcar akm takes to long to do dmg to them. Rn light is meta by far
Heavy LMG changes are not fun. I understand tinkering around with them, but i don't like the new "one is less accurate when starting to fire, and one is but loses accuracy" change. I'd love for them to be consistent, which the M60 really doesn't feel like right now. The damage nerfs hit especially hard and leave people at low health a lot more often than what it should.
Just keep it as "M60 wins in close range due to ROF and mag size" and "Lewis wins at longer ranges due to lower damage falloff and better accuracy". Please.

This elo system while being transparent is absolutely trash. The devs should have been able to run some models to predict how it would play out based on a large sample. None of the top players can climb because they will play for hours winning 100 points at a time just to lose 2-4K to a single cheater. Cheaters used to be manageable in cash out but they are not being actioned on fast enough and are murdering the integrity of the leaderboard since they can solo a lobby. If embark was hoping TA and ruby would save the game they need to not have fumbled this rollout in such a significant way.

Have 2 audio outputs. One for an audience and one personal.
Content creators can then leave all the audio on for the audience and a cinematic experience, but tweak their personal settings to say, hear less crowd.
Eventually in like 10 years, they'll have some option to do this visually too I think, audience graphics on full and personal on competitive settings, but obviously that's not viable atm.
Maybe audio isn't either but figured it'd be more viable.
