Light right now, compared to the 2 other classes is very underpowered. The fact that I play Light and make it somewhat work has nothing to do with the fact that the class is overshadowed and underperforming. I play Light and still do good with it but I am forced into a more specific lurking playstyle and have to choose my fights.

Look at the number of Lights in ranked compared to the other 2 classes. Realistically, there is no reason to pick Light other than the fun aspect. In a lobby where players are not just on autopilot, Light does absolutely nothing.

The argument that a handful of people make Light seem playable and "fair" is anecdotal and irrelevant.

Yesterday, I encountered a bug for the first time where my weapon wouldn’t fire, I couldn’t place the turret, and grenades wouldn’t throw. I had the idea to quickly go into the settings, change the firing button to another key, and then change it back. This fixed the issue. Interestingly, this bug only occurred in ranked mode; it never happened in normal modes.

Idea for new limited time game mode

• A mode where any class can use any specialization. Light with charge or shield would be interesting to see. I’m just saying. Plus could you imagine seeing a grappling sledge charging at you? That be equally terrifying as it’s hilarious

• Solo death match similar to gun game but instead whenever you kill someone, you become that person class and has their exact load out (Not my own idea, I stole it off some guy this week. That said it sound super fun. Please make it happen)

• All melee?

• All explosive gadget and weapons only (light will have to sit this one out unfortunately ^^’) that or maybe just let him carry 4 slot of grenades.

• 5 v 1. Where that one person essentially become a raid boss with 6 time the health or whatever similar to what they have in the mobile game call brawl star

• gun game/ capture the flag / rush / death match. Classic for a reason

• A mode where everyone can use grapple. Because grapple is just that fun.

Add ospuze as gear for light or medium. It gives you 50 extra health that doesnt regen (like gold hearts in Minecraft). It buffs health regen speed by 3x, movement speed by 2x, and jump height by 2x all for 10 seconds, with a 45 second cooldown. can be drank with an m1 to give effects to the player, or with m2 can be thrown at a teamate to give them the buff instead

Hey guys, I dont know where to write this so Ill write it here.
So whenever I launch the Finals and use the voice chat, the games audio quality just drops and I hear these weird buzzing sounds. Whenever I leave the voicechat it is normal. Or when I call on discord with someone and play the Finals at the same time, the same bug happens again. I have been having this for weeks now and it still hasnt been fixed. Id appreciate a hotfix about this.

Dear Embark, please please nerf SA1216 again, I (light main) was using it today after the nerf and I managed to get 2 kills in quickcash with it!!!! I personally (and I think 107% of the comunity) would agree when I say that it should be nerfed again!!! It is completely unfair to players like me that a gun on heavy shoots honest to god bullets instead of confetti. I propose the following changes to hopefuly level the playing field (currently medium's model 1887 does more damage and quicker) so therefor SA1216 should do at max 13 damage (1 hp of dmg per pellet) after 2m in order to make the brainded gameplay of closing the distance and playing to your streghts a must for these fat clowns. Between 1m and 2m it should have 97% damage fallow for every picometer the pellet covers, in addition, if an opponent goes afk or has really special situational awareness a shotgun to the back should not be all it takes to get a kill and therefor between 0m (hugging the oponent) and 1m (basically respecting his no no square) the damage should be based on how aware the oponent is of the shotguns presense, let me explain. If a player is not aware that there is a shotgun behinde him it shall deal 0 damage in order to discourage ambush gameplay (very bad, we dont need another cringe medium camping roof meta), and if the opponent is looking directly into the eyes of a heavy pointing its shotgun at them, it should at best deal 26 (or maybe 39) damage, corresponding to about 2 (or 3) points of damage per pellet. If the angle of attack is anywhere between these two the damage should be rounded up to 0. In addition I personally (and again, this is only mine and 107% of community's ultimatum) would make it so that upon firing 6 bullets from their gun heavys need to wait for a 60s cooldown effectively making it more effective to kill themselves in order to get their gun back (I usually do it by rushing alone into full teams). So in conclusion, in order for me to buy more skins SA1216 nerf.

everything about heavy is OP. Pretty much every gun is viable, even hammer.

Heavy's LMGs somehow out dps Mediums ARs while having more bullets.
Heavy has OP shields + 350hp + a secondary insta 140dmg button.

The ranked system is broken and desperately needs fixing.
Im solo and get matched against stacked trios.
Not only that, but they are also quite often higher ranked than me and my random teammates.
Not only that but my teammates are sometimes bronze and silver while i am platinum and the enemies are diamond.
Not only that but my teammates are often actual trolls, or just dont know how the game works.
How is this still a thing and why do i lose rank when you set games up for them to be unwinnable?

I was plat 1, I just wanted to get to diamond but then its like you turned a switch and suddenly i keep getting the worst possible matchups and im now down to plat 4.

It also takes longer to match since you put extra effort into searching for the worst possible available teammates for me. Please stop.

Question for the devs. Now That our pink set for the community event is maxed out and we'll be moving into new iteams / sets can we get the pick set in the outfit section? Where it shows all the battlepass skins? It just makes it easier to see what I have and if i want to equip everything at once.

people get kicked for being AFK. but ive seen controller players not getting kicked because of stick drift. they move ever so slightly and then they dont get kicked, i just had someone in my powershift match that was AFK for the entire match and he was moving very slightly

Charge and Slam should make an audio cue. I don't see why it doesn't have it. It deals shit ton of damage. It used to have one but they removed it and buffed it by removing that. Now you can get two shotted by a ninja Heavy from behind a wall because you don't hear shit

I love all classes and being a achievement hunter trying to level up all gadgets, I have some thoughts about a few gadgets that you all might have interesting perspectives on...

Trying to level up all tools, I found that thermal vision on the light is quite interesting... For the time that it is active - I find that it's extremely easy to focus on targets helping eliminate opponents, I am finding it very useful as I'm leveling it up however, when activated I find it is a little difficult to see shields and gas clouds, can we bump up shield visibility and gas slightly to make it viable for competitive use? Also, it's a great tool against invisible players but I think it'd be great if we could #1 bump up the visibility there too or maybe pulse the players
#2 What are your thoughts on bumping up the damage slightly from the tracking darts? - this is to make it a more viable option for competitive play- just a thought
#3 gadgets xps are a little weird across the chart, some can be progressed very fast and some are at snail's pace. The ones that are extremely slow to level up are, teleportation cube, stun gun, breach charge, APS turret(this is the slowest) and anti-gravity cube.

Light's sword strikes seem to be affecting even when my shield is up when playing as mid... This kinds makes the shields pretty useless for mediums 😭

Maybe to encourage team work, staying with teammates, signalling emeny pings should award XP points or some kind of incentive. šŸ˜šŸ™

By the way, goo are making me get stuck sometimes when I jump or slide into it lately- is this intentional?

How am I supposed to rank up (hard stuck plat 1) if one tournament I lose in the final round and gain 3 arrows up, but the next tournament I lose in the second round and get 3 arrows down? It feels pointless and extremely confusing on how this ranked system works. Is it based on performance in the tournament as a whole? If so then why am I penalized that harshly for getting past the first round? If it’s based on individual round performance then why don’t I get down arrows for losing in the final round? Season 3 needs a much more clear ranked system.

The RPG has one of the longest reload times of any gadget The user does 1.3 times more damage on themselves The best way to avoid the RPG is to stick close to it, so it will self-suicide and you'll stay alive

Yes, and I also think that you should be pinged on the map for all teams including your own every 300 Ms for balancing purposes, because the weapon still does too much damage and we need to add some risk to using it. In order to stop the rampant use of 1 SA12 per 47 ranked games, we should also consider improving the FCAR's range and damage to compete with the close range devastator that is SA12. Fire rate should also be decreased to one shot per second because a streamer died to it and complained.

Side note: cloak is the most problematic skill in the game next to goo gun, and may need further adjustments to have people in game feedback stop crying such as but not limited to:

-cloak cannot be used more than 1 time per match

-cloak no longer activates cloak

Reduce the efficacy of the healing beam with the healing target is actively taking damage. Pocketing a heavy adds a ridiculous amount of survivability to a class that is already really hard to dispatch if played right.

Defib doesn't deserve I-frames. You should be actively punished for reviving out in the open.

Closing dematerialize holes should not consume charge. Its a good utility for offense and self defense, but its limited uses can make it feel highly restricting.

Increase the lock-on time of the turret, but also remove the back-and-forth scanning and increase its field of view to compensate. This will make it a lot more predictable to both use and fight against.

The LH1 is the most problematic gun in the game. There are a number of ways to go about fixing it but the main issue is it does way too much damage and is incredibly capable at all engagement ranges.

The 93r lacks purpose. It has no real niche of its own. A potential solution would be to give it a lightning fast reload speed and make it a sustain fire tool. Its not a particularly useful niche for the light class but it would at least be unique.

The XP54 is too good of an all-rounder to pass up for other guns with slightly better range and dps like the v9s and m11. I would give it a very minor nerf to rate of fire, something in the realm of 5%.

Charge and slam offers too much up front damage and shuts down pretty much all close range engagements. Instead of the damage ramping down from maximum with successive hits, it should ramp up from minimum. Reward heavies that are good at tracking their targets mid-charge.

RPG offers way too much burst damage potential as well as crowd control. The max and min damage should be made the same and lowered.

Lewis gun is the second most problematic gun in the game. It has great hip-fire, dps, and range. Rate of fire should be significantly lowered and damage slightly raised to make it more punishing at point blank while maintaining power at range.

Day 73 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

  • 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
  • 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS. No headshot modifier to keep DPS from becoming insane.
  • Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets, you’re probably not getting higher than 150 DPS even as far as 10 meters.
  • bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
    • significant damage to structures and players
    • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
    • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
    • its a goddamn minigun
  • - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
  • - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such, no ā€œpocket minigunā€ strats, choosing to use this mid-combat is a commitment, one that could get you killed.
  • - gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

Something in a similar fashion to how Fortnite has there’s set up. I myself, as well as a few other players I’ve seen, use an unconventional set up, moving with a joystick and aiming with a mouse. I had no problem using both simultaneously in beta but since launch I have had to remap my joystick to keys due to any ongoing fight for input control in game. I know there was an issue with a large amount of player using REWASD to get a competitive advantage over there a opponents in game, however a ā€œLock aim input method as mouseā€ option would eliminate this as it only applies to movement. I know a lot of handicap players, players with joints issues, or players with unconventional set ups who just prefer joystick movement would greatly appreciate an option like this in game. I saw a video of a player with an Azeron struggling with the same issues that I do on my GMK joystick.

For the powershift gamemode, it would really help if there was an outline of the path of the platform. I dont know where to stand to defend against the platform because I dont know where its going.

Buff sniper. It should be able to one shot mediums with a headshot, nerf firerate slightly. The mesh shield is already a pretty powerful counter to said weapon because of a lack of DPS I dont think buffing its dmg would be too bad. Not to mention FCAR already does pretty good DPS at longish medium range. Sniper is only decent on powershift but maybe that weapon can be removed just for that gamemode

Lower rpgs damage to around 50-70 and give it two shots. Give a delay to mesh shield so you can’t open it instantly. Replace the healing beam with a healing circle that you place down like the aps. Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Make it so you have to turn off cloak before you can do anything else like shooting. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to steal cash outs faster and have faster regen.

im speaking for probably most of the player base and the poeple that probably quit playing for this same reason, light build needs a buff badly playing as that pisses me off as thats my main and i get almost one tapped by anything including turrets that for some reason has range that shouldnt be there, the dagger for light build also should be buffed noting that you have very little health and it takes multiple swings to kill anything and most likely dead before u get a kill with it heavy should be nerfed while they have high damaging weapons and hard to kill, the suppressed pistol should get a buff range on turrets should be brought down more also punishments for leaving a ranked game should be enforced harder as every game i played the whole team left and i just sat there and couldnt do anything

Most people are dumb and don't realize that L/M/H aren't meant to be balanced in terms of offense/defense. The point of the game is to find a team combo that works for both overall and strategies for countering teams of different class combos... lol. Offense/defense/survivability/utility all in all, but people here think too narrowly and only in the context of the class they play. That's where this game is just different than other games where you can play whatever character you want but the loadout is all the same for weapons.

when you do a normal left click swing, you deal 50....
a quick melee is 45... sorry but if you get stabbed in the face, you def only hit 1/3rd of a lights HP ...

I would suggest making a 'missed backstab' deal 100 damage, the left click is still more favourable then, even though i would say it needs to deal something like 75 damage per swing

Stop putting players back in the very same match they left. In any queue. We left for a reason, have to start just alt + F4ing if I even see the same map after I leave because the audacity to put me back in a match I left is beyond me, this game has a thriving player base if it can put me back in the same game then maybe the player base numbers are fictional. Or set a flag that says "Left game, don't attempt connection" <3 Thank you, love you.

Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to steal cash outs faster and have faster regen.

@tired oasis I never mentioned that weapon so I don’t know why you bring it up? I personally have never experienced the grenade launcher in a way that I think was unfair, but that’s not to say I’m against any changes to it. If you have some feedback to make the CL40 more balanced you should post that.

heavies shouldnt be able to use things like ziplines and jump pads cuz of their weight (the special triangular jump pads are an exception, the ones that transport u from one building to another over an endless chasm). if they try using a zipline, it'll just break and the heavy fall down, ike not so less. i mean they can inc their speed a bit. im sayin that it would make sense cuz of their weight. maybe they should introduce heavy duty ziplines that heavies CAN use, and transports u faster, including every other build @void scarab @queen cloud

Again I have never experienced the grenade launcher in a bad way so I don’t know how I’m supposed to critique it. Also I don’t think comparing the CL40 and the rpg is valid. You said it yourself the rpg is a gadget while the CL40 is your main weapon. You can’t use the CL40 and then pull out another gun on top of that but you can with the rpg. I think there are drawbacks to choosing a grenade launcher as your only weapon but none for having a rpg for a secondary weapon.

@pearl kiln @near cosmos @rare spear Is there any plan on adding a ā€œLock aim input method as mouseā€ option to the FINALS. Something in a similar fashion to how Fortnite has there’s set up. I myself, as well as a few other players I’ve seen, use an unconventional set up, moving with a joystick and aiming with a mouse. I had no problem using both simultaneously in beta but since launch I have had to remap my joystick to keys due to any ongoing fight for input control in game. I know there was an issue with a large amount of player using REWASD to get a competitive advantage over there a opponents in game, however a ā€œLock aim input method as mouseā€ option would eliminate this as it only applies to movement. I know a lot of handicap players, players with joints issues, or players with unconventional set ups who just prefer joystick movement would greatly appreciate an option like this in game. I saw a video of a player with an Azeron struggling with the same issues that I do on my GMK joystick.

I believe I found an exploit/bug that must be patched: if you die after you shoot a tracking dart but before it can hit the enemy it will track them forever. Pls be warned that the enemy will have no idea they are ā€œdetectedā€ and neither will YOU if you fall victim to it.
What happens is if you die your gadgets will and should disappear when planted. However when you are killed they will not disappear in the air as tested with the RPG, grenades, mines, etc. AND it works the same with the tracking dart as well.

c4 and especially breach charge feel really weak. the whole point of these gadgets is to open up walls and floors. c4 is overshadowed by rpg and charge n slam as they are able to do the same thing but are better since they are more versatile. the breach charge is even worse, it doesn't provide enough utility to be worth bringing to fights compared to other gadgets. I want to use breach charge. it's just that other gadgets like frag nade, gateway, glitch nade, vanish bomb, and even gas/pyro nades just feel so much more useful. If c4 got 2 charges back and breach charge got 2 charges as well to allow them to be used the way they were made to, cause destruction.
if the player damage and cooldown get get slight nerfs to accommodate the c4 and breach charge getting 2 charges I'd be perfectly happy with that change. I just want them to be useful and to blow up cash outs and level buildings

Event 1 (I don't know how to name this)

When a contestant is eliminated it explodes but instead of doing damage to everyone in the radius of 3m it heals them the 33% of his hp, heal amount is 15% for contestants that use melee weapons

Event 2

Some or all of the gadgets of the contestants are replaced with random gadgets that even could be from other classes until the gameshow event ends, this could be only for quick matches because its just for fun, in a ranked game it would be unfair

Event 3

Every canister can be used an infinite amount of times until the gameshow event ends

It's 100% fake. You have a hidden MMR, which is what actually decides your opponents, and you have your rank, which simply exists to get you to grind mindlessly to try and hit diamond. So if you're actually very skilled, you need to put in top .001% work just to rank up beyond platinum 4. An actually competent ranking system wouldn't ever place you against players more than 1 rank bracket away from you. But no, you lost in second round against two full teams of diamond 1s, you deserve to get 3 arrows down as a platinum 1 because engagement.

  • Outgoing (party) > more skin showing, different types of make-up

    to name a few...

We have access to a lot of stickers, however in my opinion it could be implemented in a better way.
The stickers right now have a fixed position and you are allowed to only put on sticker on (which is sad.)
I'd suggest taking a look at the game (I know it died by now) APB Reloaded, where everything was so customizable, take inspiration from that model.

To make characters really unique it would be awesome to see that we can fully customize the face (with sliders) instead of generic presets.
Make it so we could also change the nose-, mouth-, eyebrow type.
If that would be too hard to implement in the current state of the game, maybe you could add more face presets as it is quite lackluster atm.

Great that you guys added a new barrel type, that's awesome! Don't know if it's because you guys saw my previous feedback or not, but nice addition!
Please expand more on barrel types.
For example;

  • Time Dilation Barrel; Creates a field where time slows down for enemies that are been hit, affecting their movement and actions.
  • Time Reversal Barrel; Upon explosion, this barrel rewinds time in a small area, causing recent actions to reverse.
    People hit from the explosion will walk backwards to the location they came from and health will be restored.
    If the person just died but within a few seconds got hit by that explosion they will get back up (revived.)
  • Healing Barrel; Instead of damaging, it releases a healing mist that restores health to anyone within its radius.

Stop with multiple patch download for event. Do ONE big download then just activate each event with delay in your server like Fortnite.
My friends playing on his phone internet connection, so he can't download Gigabit of patch I have to download it for him then transfer with USB when we meet.
But I can't do it each week.

There's a bug where you are unable to track your contracts in the master circuit, not sure about the other circuits tho since i've completed them. Seem to be able to track daily contracts fine tho.

Stun is fine, lights don't need the crutch back, the easiest way to buff light is to nerf the rpg since it basically one shots them. Nerf that and it will basically be a buff to light.

Give the gun a decent amount of sway when scoping and buff reload speeds (or a diff buff for close combat)

APS nerf feels like overkill, and in general it feels like there's been considerably more emphasis on nerfing or bricking strong options than introducing or strengthening counterplay.

I've definitely said this plenty but strategizing around item and map interactions is a big part of what drew me into the game in the first place, and it feels like that aspect of the game has been nothing but diminished over time. Something like combining teleporter and charge n' slam to beat a heavily fortified APS-ridden platform is super cool, and if this is what we had launched with coming up with a cool strategy like that wouldn't have been necessary because you could just like, throw more explosives.

I'd really like to see more fun rock paper scissors-y stuff and interesting interactions that ask you to consider your options and come up with a solution. Shooting is all well and good, but it's not what makes this game unique, you know?

Be a bit more forgiving on cancelling hold actions for camera angle change. I think last update you didn't get interrupted while trying to look around, now it feels a little more restricted... Maybe it's the way things should be but consider giving us a bit more angles to look anywhere a head could naturally turn (so cancel only when trying to look back)

It could be a good option to add an MVP identifier for each team at the end of the game. With the intention of encouraging the player. The sum of the points related to Combat, Support and Objectives would determine which member of the team played the best.

In the end, a good player has to serve in everything, not just kills. And this same system could be carried over to the Competitive, where the MVP of a losing team disqualified from the tournament is not penalized with a demotion, also to compensate for players who really try hard but are paired with bad players.

What do you think? Good idea?

What just happened in this update?

Throwing Knives is busted and overtuned. It overthrows Sword and M11 as the superior close-ranged light weapon by a large and overall brutal margin. People go 17-1. 15-1, drop 20 bombs on their first Throwing Knives games. It can two-shot you rapidly as a medium, which was what happened to me in not even 5 minutes of Quickplay.

The APS nerf is a staple of you guys listening to the casual community once more. Yes, it was very strong in Power Shift, but now, there's no point in running it in high elo in ranked or even competitive in general. You can't simply hold down spots to defend a cashout and continuously play a certain spot, protecting from projectile spam. Of an already stale meta, only double mobility willl ever be used in the hands of a good or experienced player. APS + mobility and double mobility used to be the two to be run in ranked tournaments for a medium, not just one.

Disappointing update. I'm seeing an inability to balance out other aspects of the gameplay as well, not just the overly strong Heavy that has been on top for over a year now or the already weak Light.

I didn't need to spend too much time on the game to conclude with this verdict.

Great patch Embark.

Knives feel so good to play with, now. It is like a weapon I always wanted them to be, they are so much easier to pick up and I still feel like there is a high ceiling with what you can do with them.

Aps needed a change and I am glad you made one I am just afraid it might not be the best one, but hey, we will see how it plays out and you can always change that later. In the meantime I am excited to finally not be facing an impossible to break down barricade.

Also zipline hit boxes, great change and I am glad you implemented the game idling thing. I have only seen it mentioned once and thought that it sounds like a great thing to do so glad it is here.

Overall this gets me excited to see what you guys do in season 3.

The APS is what I would consider now a "waste of a gadget slot" it is really THAT bad.

To prevent it from being there in infinity for weaker players, I want to suggest the following simple buff.

Make it absorb more, about 5-7 projectiles so that it will actually soak something other than a couple of nades from two medium players or one MGL32 heavy

I really DO NOT LIKE how you can see the player carrying money through walls in Bank It. From a gameplay perspective I understand why it was done as it makes the game more intense when you have that money, but it shouldn't reveal immediately. It removes the strategy of anticipating a player's moves and gauging safe engagement based on the amount of noise coming from combat areas.

What I would propose is that the player holding that money shouldn't be revealed the way they are now for all players, until after a flat 45 seconds of holding onto that money without depositing it. That way, if a player is biding their time and waiting for the next deposit spawn, they get revealed for dawdling and it puts pressure on them to put the money in before the lobby closes in on them.

W patch Embark! I haven't tested knives yet so idk what they will be like, but the APS nerf is a W hug_friend ! You can still use it in smaller team fights normally but it will stop it from being able to soak up an infinite amount of concentrated utility in modes like power shift. APS is not dead.

you forget what APS is about. I've played against APS and with APS since Closed Beta, and I've noticed a shift in projectile amounts over the months. It takes an extensive amount of time to defend one cashout. It takes an even more egregious amount of effort to hold down one spot against two other teams contesting you. The APS' ability is not to negate a class, but to force a gadget or two out of someone's hand.

Negating an entire playstyle or weapon class would just be overkill, otherwise we'd have gotten more complaints about APS. There's even those who think APS is underpowered with its lack of radius.

The 93R needs a buff. It's not viable. The RPM change early in the season wasn't enough to bring it up compared to other light weapons.

I suggest some changes:

  • Remove its burst delay, so you can immediately fire another burst after firing the previous one
  • Higher damage at range, so people that can control its recoil are also rewarded
  • More ammo

Now you may be asking: why not increase its damage? The reason not to increase damage on this weapon is so that it does not 2-burst light with body shots alone (hence my suggestion to remove the burst delay instead).

With these changes, the 93R will be more viable to use while not going overboard with damage per bullet changes.

Why are hammers so much damage for such a low skill weapon. 200 per hit one shots lights, they only other weapon that can do this is the sniper with arguably requires dramatically more skill. 140 should be the cap on hammer damage, that way a skilled player could use a dash or quick melee to get the same effect

I agree that 40% damage seems a little excessive. Ideally I would suggest it only destroys projectiles it has a clear line of sight with and reduce the damage taken to let's say 20-25%.

Alternatively it could detonate the projectile when it "destroys" it (instead of outright disabling it), which would make it deal its regular damage to the APS turret itself and the surrounding area/players. This way a guardian turret within the APS' range isn't immune to explosives and the APS automatically takes damage, without an artificial damage system.

Last option would make the user have to tactically place the APS so block off certain areas (like doorways) so the enemies can't throw grenades through the opening.

Again, attempts to smooth out the corners and come up with an alternative to a weaker nerf, comes down to taking a grenade launcher and it all doesn't work as it should. Accordingly, the automatic Power Shift mode breaks down, which is currently unplayable, if at least someone takes heavy with a grenade launcher, instantly destroying the whole meaning of the mode and turning it into a regular DM, even if the developers make it so that the grenade launcher does not damage APS, then it still kills all the tactics of the raid platform/CashOut by turning it In mindless grenade spam, many mediums take grenades, each with 2.

Please can we focus on nerfing heavy for season 3.
Their only downside is mobility, which is almost a strength when you factor in their ability to lock down an area, break through a locked down area, delete people with rpg/charge, etc, etc.
HHM is the go to in ranked, it's plaguing diamond as it can beat almost every other combination with ease, the only other combo that gives is trouble is HML, because of the glitch grenades and crazy damage from the light, but as the light can be killed so easily, the light needs to play 3 times better than the Heavy to stand a chance.

Please nerf the rpg so it has 2 shots/ammo, and does 74dmg. That way they can't double shot a light, or any other class, making a fight a 3v2 before it starts.

Please nerf the charge so that it either does like 30dmg, or stays at current, but stops when you hit a player. Being able to kill a medium in one charge is absurd. It feels cheap. And when you're in a ranked lobby where the other 3 teams are all HHM, that's 3 charges (or more) in the match, so you die to it a lot, and it feels shitty.

The lewis gun has more dps than any full auto medium gun, so not only do they have 1000hp of shields for you to get through, they have barricades, 100hp more than you, and their gun does more damage than yours, the medium stands no chance unless the heavy makes huge mistakes.

With the APS nerf, how comes the bubble shield doesn't have it's radius made smaller, as it acts like an APS for the most part, it absorbs rpgs, bounces grenades, etc.
I know you can shoot it down, but why does the heavy get to have everything.

They also have barricades which can completely lock off door ways, removing a barricade as a light or medium takes far too long, or takes far too many recourses. The only way to remove the barricade is by being another heavy and just charging through it (without the use of red cannisters, which aren't always around when you need them).

The heavy is so overwhelmingly strong atm. Please.

APS nerf is wild. It was the only thing stopping grenade spam from happening. Like if you wanted to nerf it, just nerf the radius of what it can protect. It can already be easily destroyed by bullets or melee. By shooting outside the radius it can be easily destroyed by explosives. I think if that was a PSA on that there would have been less outcry for nerfs on the thing.

Is there any plan on adding a ā€œLock aim input method as mouseā€ option to the FINALS. Something in a similar fashion to how Fortnite has there’s set up. I myself, as well as a few other players I’ve seen, use an unconventional set up, moving with a joystick and aiming with a mouse. I had no problem using both simultaneously in beta but since launch I have had to remap my joystick to keys due to any ongoing fight for input control in game. I know there was an issue with a large amount of player using REWASD to get a competitive advantage over there a opponents in game, however a ā€œLock aim input method as mouseā€ option would eliminate this as it only applies to movement. I know a lot of handicap players, players with joints issues, or players with unconventional set ups who just prefer joystick movement would greatly appreciate an option like this in game. I saw a video of a player with an Azeron struggling with the same issues that I do on my GMK joystick.

APS turret nerf is ridiculous : the point of the APS turrets it's to destroy it by shooting it (and it doesn't even have that much health). Now the thing is pretty useless. Just throw three grenades it's over, if two team are focusing you APS is sooooooo bad right now. I can't even understand why they nerfed this. BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

  • While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
  • Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
  • Increase damage from 84 to 90
  • Electrify the baton and give it a glitch effect, when you hit somebody they're glitched for 2,5 sec (This would give the shield so much utility and would help the team greatly, making it a viable options)

THE LATEST BUFF ISN'T WORKING:

  • From your POV it does look like you're covering yourself faster, however after testing it with other people we can confirm that infact you don't block faster and you can't block between swings, you're constantly exposed

FIX THE FOV WHEN HOLDING THE SHIELD UP:

  • Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

HOLDING THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

  • Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

Can you please stop nerfing stuff so equipment and weapons feel less powerful? Instead, please buff weapons and equipment so they are more powerful. Make it so there are viable counters, instead of making it so things are less powerful.

I don't use most of the equipment, weapons, and strategies that you keep nerfing (taser, shield spam, now aps, etc) but I play against it. I find that its annoying that the strategies I've invented to deal with player tactics keep getting removed in favor of sterile un-unique gameplay because some of the tryhard fan base keeps spamming "remove nukes," "remove taser," and now "remove RPG's" in discord and on streams.

Not everything needs to be on the level playing field constantly, some things should be more powerful and maybe unbalanced. Some of the most fun I had was learning to outmaneuver specific heavy players who were using nukes against me, because it became a physiological mind game and all about who really was better at the game. I have the same problem Death Go Boom event being removed. It was a challenge as a melee player to jump in, kill someone, and get out before the explosion killed me.

I feel like you're taking away the fun situations from the game because a vocal subset of the playerbase want a point and click shooter instead of a crazy gameshow. For example, the current spam about RPG's. I don't often get killed by RPG's and don't often kill people with RPG's, because most people at my level of the game understand how to dodge rather slow moving rockets. When I do get killed by an RPG, I don't rage because its unbalanced and spam. I realize that its just how the game works and that I was either in an impossible situation or probably out of position.

APS turrets were fine the way there were. If people wanted to deal with them, they had the data transmute ability. It was a great counter available. Now there's really no reason to run that ability, whose whole seeming reason to disrupt enemy equipment placements.

I have already made support tickets about this issue in the past. Basically I'm quite annoyed at how often The Finals crashes for me. But after todays new update my frustrations have reached a new high.
I queued for tournament as a HEAVY, and my game crashed. I reconnected, before I could be revived I got "kicked from server" so I reconnected again. And I got spawned in as a MEDIUM with AKM and GOO GRENADES and the default skin 😭, so this was already terrible enough but then my game crashed AGAIN. I'm just so heartbroken because I'm plat 2 and really trying hard to get to diamond but these crashes happen every time I play and it doesn't happen in any other game. I play on steam, I have verified the files and nothing was wrong, even reinstalled the game, didn't help. I had these crashes when the game launched, it was later fixed but they started happening again after 2.6.0.

40% hp hit to the APS per projectile blocked is insane. at the very least it should be able to regen if that's the case. why does it take damage? it's literally killing the damaging projectile lol. better/fairer nerf would be to give it 3 or 4 "charges" it can block projectiles with, then "recharge" 1 at a time. even still, only 3-4 charges seems like a pretty drastic nerf. don't even feel it needed a nerf to begin with; it's super easy to shoot out. a self-destructing nerf is just dumb. usage is about to drop heavily. if any one aspect of it deserved a nerf, it would be that it destroys projectiles through a ceiling/floor/wall. it should at least have a direct line of sight to the projectile. this 40% nonsense needs to be undone.

Hey,

I'm still having issues when I want to run the game above 32 bit, 192000 Hz audio (I'm using a Questyle M15 DAC/Amp).
Anything above this value makes the game play no sound. Every other game I play works fine at 32 bit, 384000 Hz.
Since The Finals has this issue I have to revert to 32 bit, 192000 Hz every time I want to play the game. I have to mention that even older games support above 192000 Hz sound.

Heavy GL still has 6 grenades, right? Heavy fires 3 grenades: APS is down; Heavy fires 3 more grenades: turrets, friendly mines, C4, breach charges, and all canisters on site are detonated. All in just under 3 seconds.

I'm not against having it consume health, but it should take two people's effort to take it down from a distance with 0 risk to themselves.

The balance change here would allow it to be placed much more frequently, or consume much less health per projectile destroyed.

The latest patch introduced a nasty bug on controller that removes the option to map a button to just 'Equip Weapon' instead of 'Interact and Equip Weapon' when using 'Directional Equipping'.
That's a real controller nerf in ranked especially since it will mean accidentally interacting with stuff when meaning to equip your weapon - which can and will be the difference between life and death sometimes, so please please please revert this.
And while you're at it: please reinstate using 'Equip Weapon' as a reload cancel as it used to be in Season 1, since reload cancelling using a gadget/specialization can be very inconsistent because the gadget/specialization can be on cooldown.

Heavies DMG per bullet need to be decreased their insane high ammo capacity already makes up. As of right now the heavy class is just way too forgiving with bloated kits. High DMG with high ammo capacity and high health. I suggest lowering their DMG and keeping the ammo capacity the same. This makes it so you won't get beamed across the map by a Heavy as easily. By nerfing these problems Heavies should be more reliant on their ''fortification'' as their description suggests they should. Now they require more strategy and relying more on their gadget and health rather than a tanky DPS terminator that runs down everybody with their RPG. In exchange you could buff their shields again making them outlast / win fights the longer they last

Aps was absolutely not fine lmao. It wasn’t meta now but the way it worked heavily limited what could be ran and even added to the game because it would just be countered by 1 aps. It now works in a healthy way where it can be buffed in ways like radius and cooldown and remain viable and healthy for the game at the same time.

Even though it is not meta right now, there will be times in the future where the old iteration of APS would be a lot more prominent due to other balance changes. And its design was inherently unhealthy for the game

Lower rpgs damage to around 50-70 and give it two shots. Give a delay to mesh shield so you can’t open it instantly. Replace the healing beam with a healing circle that you place down like the aps. Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Make it so you have to turn off cloak before you can do anything else like shooting. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to steal cash outs faster and have faster regen.

The latest patch introduced a nasty bug on controller that removes the option to map a button to just 'Equip Weapon' instead of 'Interact and Equip Weapon' when using 'Directional Equipping'.
That's a real controller nerf in ranked especially since it will mean accidentally interacting with stuff when meaning to equip your weapon - which can and will be the difference between life and death sometimes, so please please please revert this.
And while you're at it: please reinstate using 'Equip Weapon' as a reload cancel as it used to be in Season 1, since reload cancelling using a gadget/specialization can be very inconsistent because the gadget/specialization can be on cooldown.

You're forced to look around to properly equip your weapon now. This is insanely clunky and I'm unable to play until this is fixed.

i've been putting a TON of time into medium this season even though I still think I "main" heavy the way i see the nerfs isnt necessarily just bc aps is good for deleting throwables, which it does absurdly well, i think you also have to think about both nade launchers and also heavy slug shotgun all 3 get shot by aps too which makes being a scaredy cat (id use more flavorful words in place but don't rlly know the rules on that) and sitting on an aps blasting you with a fcar or ak a viable strat to fight the previously mentioned weapons which depending on your aim (meaning it has to be WAY more accurate to really accomplish the same goal) is already harder to get the same ttk on, so i think it deffinitely deserved the nerfs as for if it was too much idrk id have to play and see but i will say that i think 3 equipments for teh price of one whosn cooldown starts when you place it is a good trade imo

Here's my 2 cents on the APS:

  • Revert the nerf and make it so it doesn't take any damage when destroying projectiles or very low damages.
    OR

  • Make it so it doesn't take any damages but the APS only destroy damaging projectiles (frag, fire, poison, rocket, etc) and not assistance projectiles (smoke, glitch etc)
    BUT

  • Make it so that the cooldown starts once the APS gets DESTROYED and not when it's placed.

  • For powershift: limit the number of APS to either 2 or 1 on the platform.

I went to reddi to post this but my post was deleted. So, I will basically copy paste.

I looooove absolutely everything this game stands for. It is such a breath of fresh air compared to COD which I play mostly.
The reason why I stopped playing after a few hours on season 1 was because the lack of customization and the fact that everyone was butt ugly.
I booted the game again last night and saw many customizations which I loved. New game mods. But the customizations for your character are still not that deep. My toon continues to look like a generic dude with an ok body. (The heavy body looks fat to me).

Nitpicking I know but I wonder if I'm the only one. I just joined this sub and plan on starting to take the game more seriously because I love everything else about it. Even the weather effects. Just thought to see if anyone else had a similar experience at first.

This bug was really bad. Looking around is locked when interacting to promote game sense and awareness. Knowing when and where to revive someone is a learnable skill.

And it was even worse for stealing cashouts. It allows cashouts to drop through floors without interrupting steals, as well as gave extra range for stealing cashouts once the steal had started.

It is a very good bug fix and led to a ton of undeserved steals and revives while it was in the game

I just joined this server so I apologize if this has already been addressed, BUT

I feel like the private matches could use some development. I play with a lot of friends and we often have too many for the 3-5 person caps for public modes OR sometimes just want to face ourselves.

It's annoying that you cant pull your lobby directly into a private and instead have to make them all leave and join via code. Each mode has forced team minimums, so we couldn't 2v2, 3v3, etc etc. It force fills each team. AND caps at 12 people, which I know is standard for public matches.

Additionally, the host of the private has very little control over the mode rules. Like it would be nice to be able to adjust times, scores, contestants, loadouts, respawns, etc etc.

I dont want to use other titles as a comparison, bc The Finals has been a breathe of fresh air with what's out right now as well as how responsive the dev team is (LOVE). I just think that some development to private matches would be awesome, similar to the customization of previous Call of Duty's (not current, it sucks rn) or Fortnite.

It might not be something that is even in frame of focus but, some changes could also help the potential integration into Collegiate Esports. In one of the leagues we participate in, The Finals has been frequently mentioned as a possible title we include with the season but due to it's lacking controls and size limitations, it's sidelined for now.

Nerf lights. People abuse their weapons and gadgets to get kills rather than play for the objective of the mode. Most selfish class, little to no gadgets to help teammates as mediums and heavies have e.g. healing beam, defibrillator, dome shield, barricades.

Awareness, gamesense, and timing are all learnable skills that being able to look around while reviving negatively impacts. You are reviving an entire teammate there should be a risk taken.

Also @obsidian solar diamond is an hour counter. Not trying to be rude but you’ve been repeatedly asking for shield buffs and all it needed was a hit reg fix. It’s completely fine now and I play with a friend in ranked that also uses it exclusively. It’s extremely useful for stalling team wipes, protecting steals, and self preservation as a healer. Things that the other medium weapons either cannot do at all or can’t do as well as riot shield. It does not also need to put up good damage numbers, thats the trade off you take when you pick riot shield.

configurable (toggle/ptt/ptm) mute button implementation for controller, ability to mute individual players temporarily (per match), this should encourage PEOPLE ACTUALLY PARTICIPATING AND LISTENING MORE, reduce openmic issues for controller users, and make it so that if someone is being toxic in voice during a match, you can just... not have to hear it. Would also help that last one to have ability to report midgame but that takes too long.
would need a quick-report with options that are custom pre-written notes that would be prompted for elaboration on match end for mid-round reporting to be viable.

Additionally it would be nice to have those who are streaming or recording able to mark themselves as such somehow so that way they aren't seen as not participating in voice out of spite or stubbornness.

Then with that logic we should remove the turret and sonar grenade since it take no awareness, gamesense and timing to use to get free information. Just because it may take more situational awareness before reviving or stealing doesn't mean it is best. With the immense chaos and 3rd partying in this game and lack of audio at times makes it more than reasonable to look around while you are a sitting duck.

Usually I'm behind the dev team on their decisions, but the APS nerf is completely out of touch (40%???). Its already extremely vulnerable in ranked, as people dont really run it except against double heavy or grenade launcher spam, nerfing this makes it almost completely useless. In powershift it was the only thing thats stopping brainless grenade launcher spam -- and it wasnt even a problem in the first place, just pick up a glitch barrel before you do your spam. Not to mention that now goo-gun counters it completely, just by the sheer spammability of the projectile.

This change cant even be explained by "catering to the casual audience", it caters to literally no-one except grenade launcher spammers in powershift, which I assure you, is worse for the causal audience. Why the hell would anyone want to play hop on and play a casual game of powershift after work only to get put in a d-day simulator where they're getting explosive spammed from every angle.

I dont understand why you guys keep doing this shit but stop making changes and nerfs cause a small, but vocal, part of the community is whining about it. These patches honestly feel like you guys dont play the game at all, but just balance based on people whining about shit on reddit.

Day 74 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

  • 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
  • 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS. No headshot modifier to keep DPS from becoming insane.
  • Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets, you’re probably not getting higher than 150 DPS even as far as 10 meters.
  • bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
    • significant damage to structures and players
    • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
    • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
    • its a goddamn minigun
  • - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
  • - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such, no ā€œpocket minigunā€ strats, choosing to use this mid-combat is a commitment, one that could get you killed.
  • - gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to steal cash outs faster and have faster regen.

Got a few quick requests concerning balance:

  • Not to beat a dead horse, but I do think the APS nerf was a bit much. As a goo gun main, I foresee finding it VERY easy to counter APS in the future. I would request either that the nerf be reverted or that the turret be able to take 10 hits or so instead of just 3 (also that it regenerate its own HP while not taking damage).
  • I think the game is at a pretty good place balance-wise right now, but there are a few weapons that I think should be adjusted. First off, M11. It feels much too effective at medium ranges, so much so that the XP-54 now feels obsolete due to its longer TTK and smaller magazine. Before its accuracy was buffed, the M11 played much like the SH1900–you had to get very close before you could beam anyone into oblivion. I suggest that this buff be reverted or the damage drop-off on M11 be increased greatly to make it more of a close-quarters-only weapon.
  • The 93R, on the other hand, deserves a buff IMO. It has no real purpose right now, since the M11, XP-54, and V9S all do the same job but better. I would suggest either: A) shortening the delay between bursts (for quicker RoF); B) increasing the mag size (giving us a light weapon capable in sustained firefights); and/or C) greatly increasing accuracy and effective range (the weapon has an arm brace, after all).
  • Finally, I have a suggestion for a new weapon: the AN-94, as a DMR (designated marksman rifle) for medium. This weapon would shoot in two-round bursts and be very accurate over range (preferably with an optic). It would fall somewhere between the SR-84 and the LH1 in performance—powerful but not insta-kill capable, fairly quick to shoot but not spammable. Medium as a class specializes in medium-distance combat and sacrifices damage per second for damage per shot, so I think this would fit medium’s playstyle quite well.

Counterpoint: Please keep adding things that appeal to niche demographics so that we can have the most varied outfits and that every contestant is visually distinct in their identities. War game suffer from too much sameness. Helldivers 2 suffers from this too; you can change the helmets but at a distance every helmet looks the same. Every Helldiver paint job and suit looks the same at a distance.

In a game as face-paced as THE FINALS, we want to carve out our identity in a VR world where you can literally be anything you can dream of. I like the varied outfits and styles Embark has been putting out recently. I would actually think that some more animal faces would be badass in either headgear or dare I say it, the Faces category! APS should not stop grenade launchers, and should start their cooldown upon destruction. Picking up a turret/aps turret should give %cooldown back equal to %health it had left, and it should get autopicked up when further than 70m away.

Nerfing APS like this is goofy, why is the anti-projectile gadget countered by projectiles.
That + its a horrible trade to place down a gadget to stop 1.5 other gadgets

Even earlier i said that if you make that change, even when APS lose HP by "reasonable" amount of projectiles, players can, and will to overcome that by unreasonable amount of projectiles (one player can carry 3x2 grenades, launcher/goo gun with infinite ammo). now that throwing knives have finally been buffed, their secondary is kind of worthless
the charge time is far too long and they no longer really provide any benefit over the primary since you essentially get the same speed and distance with the primary now
my suggestion:
make the secondary a 3 second charge up, and if an enemy is on your crosshair and within 25m when the charge completes, it throws 2 knives that seek the target, essentially making the secondary a hitscan within 25m with a 3 second charge time as the drawback

also good lord the M11 and XP-54 are way overtuned
as a light player I get instantly deleted before I can even react to a player's existence
the TTK is between 0.35 and 0.56 seconds depending on headshots landed
if I get shot in the side or back, it takes longer to turn around and locate the source than it takes them to kill me even without headshots

even a heavy dies in less than 1.5 seconds with 0 headshots, and with headshots less than 1 second
there's absolutely no reason light needs to do that much damage. not to mention the M11 especially has way too many bullets in a mag. they have enough bullets to do 640 damage without any headshots. there's no reason a light should be able to kill one heavy and one medium in under 2 seconds and still have bullets to spare.
I don't even know what the solution is other than don't give lights fully automatic weapons
or reduce the ammo significantly

I have some feedback about the in-game communication wheel. I prefer not to use voice chat and rely on the wheel to communicate. It would be great to have more positive options like "That's okay" and crucial alerts like "Danger." Also, better communication when players are down would help a lot.

Lower rpgs damage to around 50-70 and give it two shots. Give a delay to mesh shield so you can’t open it instantly. Replace the healing beam with a healing circle that you place down like the aps. Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Make it so you have to turn off cloak before you can do anything else like shooting. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to steal cash outs faster and have faster regen.

I have over 400 hours game time in the finals. The most broken weapon by FAR is the sword. It has the ability to kill a heavy being healed easily, doing a total of 420 damage in 3 seconds or less. PLEASE nerf the sword because it’s driving players away. It’s ridiculous.

Game is very broken for me. Please fix locked shotgun reloading animation and sometimes game refuses to shoot. I found a way that reviving a player can break me free again to shoot.

Also when teammate leaves tournament, you should not be punished with a derank because I lost a game. This is beyond toxic feedback to me as a player. I can invest time and have someone else throw the game and be punished for it.

At least have it be a no loss like in Apex Ranked, if a teammate abandons the game not only do you get no downside to losing, you can still gain XP for winning and both leave early with no punishment.

Except there's this weird thing with "visual rank" not being the same as "mmr" and it somehow converges to it instead and all that jazz... The latest patch introduced a nasty bug on controller that removes the option to map a button to just 'Equip Weapon' instead of 'Interact and Equip Weapon' when using 'Directional Equipping'.
That's a real controller nerf in ranked especially since it will mean accidentally interacting with stuff when meaning to equip your weapon - which can and will be the difference between life and death sometimes, so please please please revert this.
And while you're at it: please reinstate using 'Equip Weapon' as a reload cancel as it used to be in Season 1, since reload cancelling using a gadget/specialization can be very inconsistent because the gadget/specialization can be on cooldown.

You're forced to look around to properly equip your weapon now. This is insanely clunky and I'm unable to play until this is fixed.

ISSUE TYPE: Menu Bug
There is a bug with the tracking of contracts currently - after the recent patch i am able to only track "Daily" contracts and will not track any of the recent "Master" contracts.
I have tried tracking via right click and clicking the "Track contract" button on screen but neither yields a positive result.
And no, i don't already have 5 tracked out of my 5 tracked contracts limit.

Many of your ideas should be separate gadgets/abilities, not the changed state of existing utility. RPG as you've described is just one of the launchers. Delay to mesh shield would make it worthless, and there is already a noticeable delay. Replacing the healing beam? Really? THE CLOAK ALREADY TURNS OFF AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU TAKE ANY OTHER ACTION!

The data transformer is performing terribly. Its range and coverage area are horrible, and today I repeatedly experienced aiming, tapping to activate, and it NOT transforming the turrets, but still deducting the use, making it unusable until it recharges. It hinders the gameplay and is very unhelpful if it performs poorly and has such a short range.

diamond has lost almost any skill significance as players who should realistically be in silver can easily attain the rank. So many players have just pooled into the rank that what should be high elo, high skill lobbies are filled with morons who cant do basic macroplay or math. if this game has any sbmm, it needs to be way stronger. I’m not trying to be rude or anything, but I have never played another game that gives me such terrible random teammates. I’m struggling to rank up in the ranked tournaments because almost every other game I get teammates that look like their brand new to the game, or even to first person shooters in general. In the past couple games I’ve had a teammate that tried to cash in vaults to cashout stations that are already activated, several that pushed fights when at low health and just hipfired when they were the last one alive on the team, and way too many that start cashouts near the end of the game when we’re already in first place, and end up losing the game because of it. I don’t know if it’s that the sbmm is really weak, but I frequently get double the kills of my teammates (if they even get kills at all) and I still keep getting them in my lobbies. It’s getting so frustrating that I’ve stopped playing the game for a while several times already.

I wouldn’t really say any of my suggestions are extremely drastic except for the change to healing beam, but I think that one is warranted as healing is horribly annoying.

I honestly don’t understand how you think the rpg would just be a grenade launcher with such a change. The heavy grenade launcher takes over a entire mag to destroy a wall and it’s grenades bounce off surfaces too. The medium one takes two mags to destroy a wall. Meanwhile the rpg takes one shot. The rpg is also a gadget while the grenade launchers are main weapons so they’re completely different.

There is most definitely not a noticeable delay for mesh lol. It takes less than a second to open. To all that say "TK are op" or "they were already fine" they were not. A projectile with a relatively long charge, with a pretty useless secondary attack. It was 3 bursts for a kill, which is much longer than it is now, and longer comparing to anyone.

EVEN IF it has a faster ttk or dps, you need to do 1.6x or 2.3x the dmg of the respective class to take them in a 1v1. and the knives definetly do NOT have 1.6x the dps of the fcar

from a qp perspective it's definitely THE pubstomp weapon now, it's very easy for decent players to get 15+ kills in a match of cash out

Throwing Knives Buff was fine and healthy, the weapon still kills at around the same Speed as any other given light weapon but it has:

  • no ads sens
  • insane projectile drop
  • travel time
  • is incredibly unforgiving on missed shots

its the double barrel if it wasnt shit and had what basically is infinite ammo, which imo would be the only thing to fix with TKs now, give them a Genji-like reload animation and a projectile count before having to "reload"

It is simply a skill leveler. It makes a low skill class med able to have a chance against a high tier light player. (also saying they cant kill a stationary turret is idiotic... Its not that people cant kill a still object, its that people get popped while killing the stationary target in fights. Its an extra target that you have to kill. Dont make stupid arguments if you dont understand the gameplay -_-)

This isnt to say the turret needs a nerf, possibly a slight adjustment, but I think its fine how it is.

The buff is needed. It does pretty much the same dps as all the other good light weapons, same as the strong med weapons. Again, at least at the current state of the game, the light class needs to do more damage to be fair. The whole class is glass cannon. High Offense, low defense.

This is a small patch, obviously gearing up toward a bigger patch when season ends in less than 2 weeks.

Practice range tests are a closed off test. It should be used for only the bare minimum of tests. DPS, TTK, interactions between items, practicing. Not actual combat power. people will move, people will fight back, walls exists, AOE explosives exist. So yes, in combat power, practice range is invalid. Please dont talk to a weapons combat power without using it

Also I dont see why it shouldnt be the best burst rifle in the game... Again, light is a glass cannon, it SHOULD have the highest DPS of all the classes....

I'm gonna stick around(since BF2 days) non the less but I'm just pointing out something we all know, finals is a team based game which I love regardless of playing solo and hoping for decent teammates everymatch šŸ˜…... But a lot of gamers don't have the patience today... And I'm pretty sure the majority of gamers are solo players... I want you all to make crazy money so that you can keep this game alive for a really long time,

Probably these suggestions have been thrown many times but here goes,
-Maybe new modes that keep the solo players engaged... Even a deathmatch could be a start without too much on team emphasis for the casual crowd
-i love the fact that the core of the game is based on teamwork so, maybe like your daily contracts pushing team work type of encouraging challenges, that should continue but maybe also have more rewards (cosmetics) linked to this so that solo players would be incentivized to play the team based modes even when there are options for solo modes ( the illusion of choice works wonders )

Game, balancing, drips, everything that you do... I love it... Surprised at the Aps nerf but will see how much the game changes because of that.. looking forward to playing the game later today!!!

I have completed all of my contracts and I enjoyed most of the quests. It encouraged me to play things I normally wouldn’t and it allowed me to give weapons that I didn’t like originally a second chance. I would like to request that the steal a cashout mission be removed going forward because it requires you to be losing for you to complete it and it encourages your team mates to interrupt your steal so they can get the credit.

It takes skill to use a projectile weapon. The lower skilled TKs user will not be able to defeat a high tier anyone. Again. Light is a glass cannon. High offense for low defense. the TKs are not even the best light weapon, I really am confused on what you are thinking.

Again. Light is the worst class in the game. No question. Anyone in Diamond, Plat, probably even gold will tell you this. The amazing synergy of Medium and Heavy outweighs anything that a light can do.

The TKs are not strong enough to stop this from happening. If you had an Esports tournament in this current patch. I almost guarantee there would be at most 1 or 2 lights in the entire event who actually are serious on winning, and I guarantee they are not the winners. The TKs arent strong enough to change the meta, everyone will still run 2H1M or 2M1H.
Light has had broken weapons from the start. Again, LH1 is still the best gun in the game, and the sword is insane. I would argue the XP-54 is still better than the Tks, but i need to test more

market the game more! the original closed beta trailers and marketing were absolutely top notch. the game at its core is already set up for absolute fun and especially esports with the tournament setup. it just needs more marketing. keep doing what was done during closed beta. the whole "CAN YOU REACH THE FINALS?" is great messaging and invoking a challenge upon the viewer is already just a great hook into the game. you only hear about this game through the content creators it has, or through friends and while hearing good things through others is great its entirely susceptible to faults that could/are present

Lower rpgs damage to around 50-70 and give it two shots. Give a delay to mesh shield so you can’t open it instantly. Replace the healing beam with a healing circle that you place down like the aps. Also add healing bombs. Replace turret with a manual turret instead of a automatic one. Make it so you have to manually turn off cloak before you can do anything else like shooting. Replace the stun gun with a aps type gadget that stuns people like before the nerf if you’re in its circle. Make it so you can cancel a defib revive by shooting the silhouette it makes and make glitch grenades cancel it too. Allow lights to steal cash outs faster and have faster regen.

Changes I want to see in the finals… 1. Less visual clutter. If you ever actually looked at the fire effect you’ll come to notice that it litterly towers over your character. It’s practically Impossible to see through, even though fire is mainly meant to be a damage dealer. You could fix this by making the fire look like the fire in csgo, which is low to the ground and has no smoke, as it’s a gasoline fueled fire. Same with gas, as it acts as a smoke grenade a dmg dealer. I don’t rlly know how you would make gas more transparent without making it less obvious to the player that it’s there, so devs gonna have to figure that out on their own. Another instance of visual clutter is the smoke caused by building destruction. Yes it’s what makes the destruction look good, but it takes too long to disapate, meaning that if the whole building, or even just part of it, comes crumbling down you won’t be seeing for a long while. It’s to the point we’re most players learn to simply follow the name tags as most of the time they can’t see the person to which the name tags belongs to. Last type of visual clutter is the UI. Not only me but my friend and many others have experienced times where some dead corpse will get in the way of seeing an enemy or objective UI. One time I was trying to shoot at people on the point in a power shift game, but because there where so many people clustered together I couldn’t even see the silhouette of someone past all the name tags. I would sugest adding a setting to increase the opacity of UI. Next message I will cover how I want spawns changed in the finals.

I think buffing light and nerfing heavy should be a focus. There are countless suggestions for light, so i will list some of my ideas for heavy:

Heavy wepons dps should be lower than medium. Currently heavy has more health, higher dps, more damage potential and better gadgets while medium is just like 7% faster. The slugger also needs to reload faster and do more damage as it is way to weak.

Dome shield should have a timer (~3s) before activating because it can be used mid fight as a cheese.

RPG is used all the time, and should probably be nerfed. I think it should do less damage and have a faster cooldown. I would also decrease the accuracy further and increase the ads time. This would make it weaker when used to start fights but be more useful for destruction.

Mesh should also have a timer before activating (~2s) so that it can't be used as a way to avoid fights when you have bad positioning and has to be used more purposefully.

Goo gun (and all goo) should be able to have multiple contact points as currently destroying a wall of goo that took a while to create takes less than a second.

Right now, medium heal beam and defibrillator are to strong but medium is to weak damage wise. If heavy is nerfed than I think it would be fair to nerf those items as they are to strong.

Defibrillator shouldn't have respawn immunity. The entire point of the nerf was so that you could camp respawning players, but the medium can start healing while they run behind cover with immunity. A second nerf if it is still overused is to take away immunity while respawning.

The heal beam should ramp up in speed, staring with no healing for 500ms before increasing to normal speed at 3s. Taking damage should reset this. You also shouldn't be able to have 2 heal beams on one player. This should make heal beam less useful mid fight and reserved for recovering from fights.

Light does have strong gadgets, it just needs more dps to compensate for its low health.

Ok so with spawns in the finals it can’t be only me who feels that they are killing the game. For me, most of the excitement I got was from clutching the last second steal at the end of the game. Back then the game could go anywhere, and felt more like a sport then a game with all the excitement. Now when I play the game it just feels like I’m aim training, and the only games I win are the ones in which I dominate over the other team, and they have no chance. I really noticed this when I was playing ranked on the final round. I’m silver 2 playing with two other random queued silvers, while the other team is triple medium fcar/ak loadouts two golds and a ā€œbronzeā€ how name was ā€œimbad97ā€, which i think we all know is a Smurf. As you would expect we got dominated on, but the real kicker was how they waited to put in the cashbox before we spawned causing us to spawn at the very edge of the map. The vault was at the suspended structures and we where all they way back at the Monaco garden area. I don’t think it takes a non-dev to understand that you should spawn close to the vault if the cash box is NEAR it. For the rest of the game we literally couldn’t make a clutch play as we were spawning always halfway across the map from the vault. PLEASSSEEEEEEEEE revert the spawns back to how they were to allow clutch plays and make it so you spawn close to the vault if it’s near the cashbox. I think that this should at least be put in quick play as the game lacks the excitement it used to have. It’s the reason why so many people complain about the meta, because now you have to dominate your opponents to win, so of course your going to want your favorite weapons to be good so you can dominate your opponents. If you allow for players to get to the objective quicker for clutch plays then they will have more chances to steal the vault of the team that’s dominating them. Add this change in with quick cash first and see if more competitive players like it, only then add to ranked.

Instead of nerfing one thing at a time to the ground (or buffing it to be too strong), can you instead give a lot of weak buffs to bad items and weak nerfs to the meta ones until it's more or less balanced.
Because right now you are just making things unusable (or overpowered) from one patch to another...
It's good that you nerf overpowered items but they still have to be usable ffs.

Also the respawn points are broken => we activate the cashout, get wiped and stolen defending it, and then we respawn 200m away from it and can't try to retake it, atleast give us a chance to take it back. Sometimes you respawn so far from both cashouts that your only option is to wait for the cashout to finish and the vault to spawn...
The starting spawns are also often broken, some teams will respawn 20m away from the vault and others 100m away, that or some team will have a positional advantage.
And that's just talking about the team respawns, sometimes vault and cashouts can also give an unfair advantage to a team, but that's less of an issue.

Seems like others agree that spawns suck. And I totally agree with doing bigger changes to the meta rather then just messing with the numbers of only individual items per update like ne3zy said. I don’t know what’s going on with the performance of things so can’t comment on that. Wouldn’t mid ranked terminal attak, but I think that at its format it should ONLY be ranked, because to many servers will cause server strain. Also on the topic of skins I would love to be able to by individual items of older bundles. Also for a lot of the skins the models are the same but the cooler is different, so it would be nice if you could package skins with the same model into one group for organization

The latest patch introduced a nasty bug on controller that removes the option to map a button to just 'Equip Weapon' instead of 'Interact and Equip Weapon' when using 'Directional Equipping'.
That's a real controller nerf in ranked especially since it will mean accidentally interacting with stuff when meaning to equip your weapon - which can and will be the difference between life and death sometimes, so please please please revert this.
And while you're at it: please reinstate using 'Equip Weapon' as a reload cancel as it used to be in Season 1, since reload cancelling using a gadget/specialization can be very inconsistent because the gadget/specialization can be on cooldown.

You're forced to look around to properly equip your weapon now. This is insanely clunky and I'm unable to play until this is fixed.

THESE SHOULD BE SEPERATE BINDINGS ON CONTROLLER. THERE ARE ENOUGH BUTTONS WITH AUTOSPRINT

Stun was the only strong gadget and is busted now.

Light is still not picked in ranked because of his non-existent team gadgets.

Heavy provides tons of shield.
Medium heals, revive, provides mobility.
Lights has what? Gateway is mediocre at best.

Why is MGL32 not overused? Because it's much more difficult!

This whole mess of a patch needs to be reverted.

Not just because of the exploits

But also due to the APS change, the game has been filled with CL 40 users cause they see it as a mega buff to the weapon.

Since the patch 2.10, Goo now blocks melee swings from sledgehammer, instead of letting the hammer pass through and hit the player behind / in the goo.
This was not mentioned in patch notes, is it intended or unintended? If intended, please consider mentioning it in your next patch notes. No one likes shadow nerfs.

They have strong gadgets, but 0 synergy. TLDR: u right all thr good util is universal, rito plz fix :D

On its own, pyro nade, vanish bomb(if they revert invis nerf), gateway, glitch nade, goo nade, stun gun can all really work well with lights kit, but really dont synergize with anyone else. I think u right tho, most of what i just said are all universal gadgets. They defo need to fix thermal and tracking dart, or just completely change them for something else... idk man lightis goofy

@uneven rampart ...no? APS change is good and needed. nothign wrong with more CL-40 users atm, they'll die down later and a normal amount will play it

@fast flare @thick sorrel glitch grenade and gateway. gateway basically ensures you start every cashout and is very good for positioning. besides those ur probably right about most the gadgets being bad. before fcar nerf, heavy had lower dps than medium and it was still op. when i say lower dps, heavy to medium ttk would still be lower than medium to heavy ttk cuz heavy health, but a 250hp heavy would lose to a 250hp medium. mesh shield would still be strong when used as a team, the entire point is to make it useless as a way to escape fights or drain their ammo before unmeshing. the goo gun suggestion was a buff, the point is that it would be more usable. medium has the lowest dps out of all the classes with not much damage potential to make up for it, yes they are weak dps wise. healing beam would still be useful between fights, like how the turret start-up time make it not good to use mid fight. i agree that the nerf to the dome would be bad, so maybe a hp buff is needed to go along with it. i also don't like how people can destroy the dome through walls it sticks through. Yulaw, heavy's shield are annoying to fight and aren't fun when used mid fight to cheese. medium would still provide support, just between fights not during them. healing mid fight is less fun than shooting. I agree now on second thought that light no longer has many good gadgets. i didn't say anything about the MGL32, i said the slugger (ks-23). most of the reworks i suggested aimed to make things work only between fight or with your team, so they aren't a cheese.

The latest patch introduced a nasty bug on controller that removes the option to map a button to just 'Equip Weapon' instead of 'Interact and Equip Weapon' when using 'Directional Equipping'.
That's a real controller nerf in ranked especially since it will mean accidentally interacting with stuff when meaning to equip your weapon - which can and will be the difference between life and death sometimes, so please please please revert this.
And while you're at it: please reinstate using 'Equip Weapon' as a reload cancel as it used to be in Season 1, since reload cancelling using a gadget/specialization can be very inconsistent because the gadget/specialization can be on cooldown.

You're forced to look around to properly equip your weapon now. This is insanely clunky and I'm unable to play until this is fixed.

THESE SHOULD BE SEPERATE BINDINGS ON CONTROLLER. THERE ARE ENOUGH BUTTONS WITH AUTOSPRINT

Heavy weapons killing faster than medium weapons will never make sense

Heavies are tanks, they should always win a straight TTK trade, but a heavy should not kill a medium faster than another medium

Embark, why did you change the control settings again? I've been playing with my layout for 200 hours, but in this update they changed the interaction and main weapon buttons. Now I just can't play because of habit. Can you separate them? This applies to controllers. Please divide these buttons into separate ones, which can be assigned to the same one. That is, on the triangle, for example, I had the main weapon, and on the upper crosshair - interaction. I'm already tired of relearning. JUST. NOT. CHANGE. CONTROL.

Bugs spotted after last update (not mentioned on #game-announcements) :

  • you can no longer look around capturing/reviving. I guess being able to look was a bug that was fixed, as it was not mentioned in update log, but i think its a little to harsh? Maybe i am just feeling it wrong, but for clearance i still want to mention it
  • team respawn countdown after wipe out on the left-up corner appears on wrong team. For ex. if orange got wiped out, the timer appears on purple team instead.
  • enter game animation and win animation doesnt show your character in the middle of the team
    Also throwing knifes appear more frequently in matches. I would say they are kinda meta now, witch is very good. Love the idea of different viable weapon options

A small system of suggestions could be added through signs before starting the game. (Like the systems we already have within the game that allow us to point out what we need when voice chat is not connected or fails)

With the purpose of telling our teammates what we need them to have equipped (Gadget, specialization, weapons) in order to complement each other and promoting teamwork even before starting the game.

HUGE but GOOD changes for the APS turret ((imo))
• make it so only damaging throwables (grenade, pyro, etc) and grenade launchers damage the APS when "deflected"
• also make it where the glitch grenade glitches the APS when deflected instead of doing damage, and the gas grenade go off wherever it got deflected by the APS, without doing damage to the APS
• also also remove the ability to place the APS turret under the powershift platform

By then players will lose interest and just leave the game for good, since it makes no sense to play a game you dont enjoy anymore, i mean its not even that hard to see, no need to go that overboard with nerfs.

Every major nerfs they did so far (afaik since Season 1) they went overboard.
