Gotta love it when I'm actively behing punished for wanting to play the game. Every round of ranked I've played so far to try to get this stupid win a tournament challenge has been a 1 v everyone else with the rest of my team leaving or just never connecting in the first place. Love it when recurring challenges are locked behind ranked 😞. Can't even post screenshots in here to show what my rounds have looked like.

The solo q experience is awful. There are so many bugs and no-brainer fixes that need to be addressed.

1. Why is it possible to load into a ranked tournament with only one teammate? On top of that, why is it not possible to leave the tournament without penalty if the teammate never joins??

2. The game crashes way too often. Loading into a tournament, between tournament rounds, mid-game…it’s a big issue.

3. The ranked system shouldn’t be matching plats or golds up with unranked or bronze teammates. More often than not, these players have little to no experience in the finals, whereas a plat or gold player has been playing for quite a while. The skill gap is too large to be a fair teammate matchup in ranked.

4. Finally, why does it take so long to for a disconnected teammate to be considered disconnected? It seems like it takes several minutes for a teammate to fully disconnect from a match, enabling you to leave without penalty. The final moments of the game are crucial, and when people leave with two minutes left, their teammates should be able to leave without penalty. Leaving at that point is still throwing the game.

exactly. the rpg is the heavy's most impactful utilities because its a fucking weapon lmao. giving the heavy a long range ability to hold angles while still being able to hold a shotgun for close range on top of having the rpg for burst damage medium-close range would be disgustingly hard to fight against. a minigun weapon for the heavy would be cool. but not as a specialization.

This really getting out of the hands, what is the point to play ranked when i get instatly in game with idiots who have aimbots and killing whole map with lewis headshot only over any range.

Make at least only players who bought pass or something to be able play ranked matches, letting fresh accounts into ranked its really worst thing you can do.

Game needs more optimization 100%. I believe this is a deal breaker for everybody and probably a fun killer for many. Please optimize the loading screens and connections between games because it is unacceptable for the game to crash during loading screens. Come on.
Game was running fine for an hour and then hopped on tournament, loading screen after round 1, ULTRA LAGGY -> crash

I really like the concept of getting cosmetics by doing these circuits. I hope it gets expanded. Maybe make circuits that can be bought with VRs (wouldn't even mind circuits that cost Multibucks). There's no real use for VRs after you've bought all the equipment (except maybe rerolling dailies).

i now know why 60 games before unlocking ranked was necessary. it takes that much experience to be able to coordinate in chaos; how to move around crumbling buildings, how to deal with third party, how to counter each and every gadget/weapon etc. there should be more comprehensive tutorial that simulates this.

Revert FCAR Recoil and Range nerfs and nerf Rate of Fire / buff damage to compensate

Buff AK Range Drop off and Recoil Pattern, Nerf its base damage to compensate

Buff Revolver by 1 Damage. (Making it a viable 2 tap on a medium / 1 tap to the head)

Give us a visible way of seeing our progress in ranked. Relying on third party websites to track leaderboard position for ranking up is terrible for the average player let alone the hardcore playerbase.

Last but not least, Destroy Hospital on Seoul or add another pathway to the building as it’s too free of a defensive position to lose and too hard to retake overall

I want to be able to customise key binds per class build. For example I have up scroll wheel go to primary and down scroll wheel go to whatever else id be using in a fight(stun gun, grenade, whatever) but when playing heavy with the goo gun i cant do that without changing my keys every time I want to play that specific loadout which is a bit tedious.

Please do something about shields and APS in powershift. I really like the mode, the idea is great. But almost every round boils down to being the first on the payload with 2 heavies and at least 2 APS, done. That's the whole game. From there, it's practically impossible to retake the payload. as a good player, yes you can manage it if you coordinate with the team, but the reality is that every low leaves instantly after the opponent have the payload. Because on average, no one wants to deal with this "goat meta" it is just no fun. Below 4 mates, you just can't get the payload back. So please increase the cooldown of shields, mesh shield: should have a cooldown after use and less HP. Dome Shield: Double the cooldown at least. APS and turrets: Decrease HP. Or at least, punish leavers harder.

yeah the cheaters here are crazy, one of them is even impersonating my partners twitch name so she is getting a lot of abuse from people thinking its her. have reported the user but they are still active. would rather the buffs and nerfs take a break for awhile and focus on key issues like cheaters, ranked lobbies, getting player count up and improving custom games (let us change map and decide teams would be great or host tournaments)

they nerfed every weapon and killing someone in the game became very tiring and boring. The fun of the game is gone.
All weapons need a buff. If they don't do this, I'm sure we will see 5k instant players soon. After 2 months, there will be very, very few players left at this rate.

the anti cheat system is the exact same thing(easy anti cheat) as apex and fortnite. on top of this there is another anti cheat made by nexon. it is true that the anti cheat is not perfect( no anti cheat can solve the problem). so the cheating problem in the finals is partly because of low player count(more chances of meeting cheaters) and better sbmm compared to s1(maybe you are too good that you get matched with cheaters).

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
Electrify the baton and give it a glitch effect, when you hit somebody they're glitched for 2,5 sec (This would give the shield so much utility and would help the team greatly, making it a viable options)
Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

ALLOW MELEE WEAPONS TO KEEP SPRITING WHEN ATTACKING:

This would help them to compete

IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:

Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger

FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them
Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

💥Why can’t the devs make a decent nerf?!
The meta in quick cash is m11,Lewis and f scar gun they were supposed to reduce damage of Lewis gun and increase the recoil of m11 but every match I don’t see any other weapons.

The ks 23 feels like an inferior version of revolver with destruction that’s too situational to be needed with such low damage to reward accuracy.
Increase damage but increase bullet drop(not projectile speed)

It’s an instant loss against medium grenade launcher against lights and annoying to other classes.
Decrease (right side)horizontal swing range of sword as u can hit with out looking.
I don’t know if it’s a bug but fix the slight input delay of evasive dash as it goes in crazy direction when using it while turning.
The dagger needs to hook on walls holding secondary attack and wall jump further while hooking and add a fast downward thrust attack that does 120 damage or backstab,also a faster slide using dagger,a slide/half step when u double tap left or right to get a better position or evade.
Add the bow and arrow to medium inspired from the game crisis3.
Add the auto cross from farcry4 to heavy.

At the very least make have different weapons balance for different game mode vs ranked.

Hello Devs,

with the amount of amazing cosmetics you pump out every patch, i think the game would really benefit from a "random/favorit skin" mechanic. Similar to Apex.
Maybe it would work like: Flag your favorite skins and every game or even respawn maybe, one of the selected gets choosen on random. Really straight forward.

Currently, sadly, changing skins is a little tedious because of the amounts of clicks needed (edit->weapon->customize->skin)
This would make having different skins for the same weapon way more rewarding and fun.

Played the game on my laptop instead of PC. I got one match with the Healing Beam working. Then it stopped, and will not work now on this PC either.

Please fix this horribly busted specialization and remove the challenge requirement for healing. It's not fair to have a challenge some players can't complete due to buggy game code.

Today my first game with against a top 5 diamond stack as I solo queue with 2 teammates in gold and myself in plat. The second game I had 2 light teammates and played against an aimbotter. The third my teammate disconnected.

The meta hasn't changed since S1, same meta weapons with the same comps. I don't feel like ranked is fair at all with the matchmaking, and outside of ranked whenever an "event" (basically quickplay with restricted loadouts, but not fun ones like all sword/sniper/melee only) comes out every few weeks, I finish it in about 2 hrs and log off again.

You think you're playing this game with so many potential strategies, but then victory goes to whoever can double team beam people the fastest. Might as well play any other vanilla shooter.

Petition to rename Mouse Button 4 and 5 to like MB 4, MB 5. Or add the option to not show on screen control tips or whatever? Because I had a problem using my mouse buttons bound as a keyboard key (crouch specifically) and it would sometimes either not register the crouch or not come out of the crouch. (Probably a problem with my mouse/mouse software of course) I don’t have this problem when I unbind my mouse buttons in the software from a keyboard key back to default mouse 4 and 5 and then bind it in game as mouse button 4 and 5. The thing is though, since it’s called “Mouse Button 4” and “Mouse Button 5”, the in game prompt (interact in my case) for the action is gigantic and in the way

I think it is a matter of time they introduce adrenaline shot for the Meduim build. Light and heavy build have protective abilities that can help them to recieve less damage but the medium build is always vulnerable in open fight. The medium build can heal the rest of the build but must wait for that long seconds for it health to regenerate. That is not fair and balanced. Medium build needs adrenaline shot in his gadgets.

Hi there, I have some feedback on the rank system so far. As of 3/29/2024, I have played some ranked matches, but there are still some issues. Firstly, matches are either filled with one good team (diamond) and three bad teams (gold/silver) or with three good teams and one bad team, which leads to poor matchmaking and the ranking system feeling similar to season 1 again, albeit slightly improved. I suggest adding two more ranks to help balance the matchmaking: one between platinum and diamond, and another for the top 500 players, as a tier above diamond to reward truly skilled players. Additionally, implementing rank restrictions is crucial. A bronze player and a diamond player shouldn't be able to queue together, even if the bronze player is entering a 'diamond-level' match. Having no rank restrictions significantly lowers the overall match quality.

For instance, if you're a diamond player, you should only be able to queue with platinum players. Alternatively, let's say you're a Diamond 1; you should only be able to queue with players within three sub-ranks below you, meaning only Diamond 4. It feels like sub-ranks, such as from diamond 4 to 1, don't matter at all. In other games, like CSGO or VALORANT, it actually matters. It feels like matchmaking is just going by the rank alone and not considering the "sub-rank" of that rank too, essentially limiting you to queuing with players one rank above and below yours until new ranks are introduced in the game.

Regarding the current state of ranks, they shouldn't be visible in matches until matchmaking is fair. The reason for this is that in matches where there is one good team and three lower-ranked teams, it usually plays out in a way where the lower-ranked teams either avoid the higher-ranked team or team up to try to knock them out, and I'm sure there's no fun in that. As of the last patch, you guys have actually doubled down on it, which I don't understand at all. I do appreciate your explanation as to why.

Ranked system is so shit. I lose 1 game i get deranked and i had to win 2 whole games to get my rank back LOL. Why do i have to win 2 times for 1 lose. Winning 2 whole games is a million times harder than a lose and should give double the points a lose give. Instead it only gives half. Wtf is this flawed logic. In rainbow you LOSE 0 points and you win 20 points. IN EVERY GAME ITS LIKE THAT: You never have to win twice to compensate for a lose. Until you have good players getting blocked by bad ones and getting stuck in extremely long queues. Until you start fragmenting the playerbase as it tries to form tournaments of forty eight people without having any of the matched players having blocked each other. Until you flat out just get people getting blocked for people being too bad and/or stupid to recognize they're just getting outplayed. I've been accused of hacking while using sword.

Cheating is frustrating, but blocking having an impact on queues is not the way to go. It's a shortsighted and foolish answer.

200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS
Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets
bullets do high damage to structures, allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
- significant damage to structures and players
- gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
- high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
- its a goddamn minigun
- Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
- lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such
- gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

I REALLY HOPE THE DEVS READ THIS! - i only solo queue and play with my friend in ranked games. But about once a month, my girlfriend, littlebrother and myself get together for a lan night. after the release of The Finals thats the only game we've been playing. UNTILL now. i do not want to queue for ranked games with them, because they just dont care as much as i do, and thats why we play tournaments all night, reaching the final round, having some EPIC moments. Last weekend they did not want to play The Finals without the tournament game mode. and i got votes 2 against 1 to play fortnite all night... PLEASE BRING BACK TOURNAMENT AS A PERMANENT GAMEMODE

Really I don't see any cheaters in the game and I have crossplay enabled but that might depend on the server.

But what I would like is Embark to fix the main issues of the game:

Cheaters (didn't see any but I trust you guys)
Heal gun not working, or sometimes weapons not firing or gadgets not deployable
VOIP not working
Some issues in the UI (the items in equipment always showing NEW despite having seen them) and some QoL improvments
Ranked still not great (especially while solo Q)

light class snipers are a huge issue in the 5v5 gamemode because they're a huge nuisance, take a lot of effort to kill if they're properly propped up on some high vantage point and even if you kill them, if they have a grappling hook it takes them like 15 sec to get back to where they died. Every time there's a decent sniper light class my team needs to either permanently camp some vantage point or someone is forced to go light sniper themselves to counter snipe them.
In every other gamemode it's fine if not straight up underpowered, but in 5v5 it's the one thing that ruins the 5v5 gamemode, especially if they have a spawn point advantage on Skyway Stadium where they can snipe the entire map from their spawn.

As someone who is a certified super fan of The Finals, why on earth would you guys restrict the latest quest to streaming on Discord only? Consoles don't have the ability to stream on Discord, only PC, while everyone has the ability to stream on YouTube or Twitch. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea? KS23 buff was a step in the right direction for heavy finally having more build diversity than "whats strong or nothing". I have a few suggestions for some of his other options

Give M60 an identity so it’s not trapped in Lewis’ shadow (either reduce its damage and ADS recoil to turn it into a long range harassing machine gun for nests and long sightlines or increase its fire rate and reduce its hipfire choke dramatically to make it heavies “smg”)
let MGL grenades bounce on surfaces as usual, but allow it to detonate on direct impact, giving it some skill expression and the ability to be used within 10 meters where bouncing grenades will get you killed
give flamer its OB range back and a little more damage. It’s been four months, I think we can stop pretending it was busted past flashbanging people. 80 DPS at 7 meters is nothing short of pathetic.
give heavy a slight move speed boost while holding sledge so he’s not kited by literally everyone.

Feedback on Powershift:

Some kind of "Win conditions check" in overtime seems bugged - We had a game on Monaco which went to overtime and the contesting of the platform ended up in the church near the neutral mark again, we wiped all of the opponents, 4 of us still left on the platform. Only one of the opponents turrets alive yet and we got the "eliminated" screen instead of winning it.

On to balancing now. I know the dev teams are trying their best at balancing, but I feel like just nerfing things over and over again and eventually removing them is the wrong way to do it. Rather than nerfing and eventually removing them, why not add counterplay to them? Take the example of the "nuke". I was fine with the nerfs so far in season 1, but in season 2, you guys decided to completely make the nuke useless. There were so many ways you could approach it, either make other gadgets able to counter it better, or make the nukes themselves more risk-reward. Instead, you opted to over-nerf it to the ground. You guys do say that you go off by data for balancing, but it feels like it's more about listening to the wrong side of the community, aka the whiners, and not the competitive and passionate casuals. Some reason of yours of "removing" stuff is so you can work it out later on. I would much rather you guys keep it in the game and still actively balancing it out rather than the lazy way of removing it now and fixing it later. Afterall, removing it does change the game and meta, which changes isn't bad once in a while but I feel like having it in and changing it through time is a much better and healthier way.

Flamer is bad and has been since launch. It does pitiful damage and has worse range, literally walk backwards out of it and shoot him to shit because he's only doing 90DPS, and thats if hes even hitting you.

It makes absolutely no sense to reward a team that's been wiped with the cashout for "successfully defending" the prize when they haven't.

Hi Devs. My squad can't find any ranked games in OCE servers. We spend close to 45 mins waiting and still get nothing, but when we switch to US servers we find them within a minute.. but obviously get to play with terrible lag. I dont know if this actually fixes any problems. what this leads to is cashouts being uneccesarily stalled and a lot more last second steals that are just unsatisfying to put up with.

Im still of the mind that cashout money should be 60% progressive, where every second you hold it youll get a little bit of cash, and when it finishes you get the rest. This still incentivises last second steals because its a significant portion of the cashout, but it means that the team who spends a minute fifty holding it isnt fucked out of all their progress last second by one play they didnt/couldnt account for.

By looking at the way it's going and the new quest, I realised team ain't give shit about console players 🤣 40 mins searching for a tournament game but no luck- matchmaking issue for console players is still there but they announced "everything's working now" . Now they came up with a quest that's only can be done by PC players is just ridiculous. No wonder why this game's dying and everyone's slowly leaving.

when changing the inspect anaimation for weapons. The meta in quick cash is m11,Lewis and f scar gun they were supposed to reduce damage of Lewis gun and increase the recoil of m11 but every match I don’t see any other weapons.

I think it is a matter of time they introduce adrenaline shot for the Meduim build. Light and heavy build have protective abilities that can help them to recieve less damage but the medium build is always vulnerable in open fight. The medium build can heal the rest of the build but must wait for that long seconds for it health to regenerate. That is not fair and balanced. Medium build needs adrenaline shot in his gadgets.

Hey embark I just wanted to address the open beta diamond AKM skin award

I completely understand if people disagree with me that own the skin due to rarity and exclusivity but hear me out:

I generały think it was a awful idea putting such immensely good skins into the game before it was even out, I'm all for alpha/beta rewards being in the game to show off but I don't think puting ranked skins was the best move.

The reason why I think this is because:

Some people have IRL issue going on for such a limited time

Going on holiday

Not wanting to spoil the game till it's full release

having little time

And much more....

The solution for this would be re-release all Pre-full game ranked rewards in a different form.
Maybe get rid of the date it was rewarded at and removing the finals logo on the side, that way people could differentiate between OG players and latest ones.

it’s the only weapon on medium that’s viable in ranked because it completely eclipses the other weapons. makes the meta extremely boring and stale

@rich fox recoil nerfs don’t do anything. especially given the fact this game has recoil smoothing. the gun is still objectively the best medium weapon but just feels worse to use. meaning more people just have to deal with a gun that feels worse now because it’s far more viable competitively. the weapon doesn’t really have a relevant downside. ammo hardly matters when you can kill a class in one clip easily and only have to reload after they’re dead

nerf fcar fire rate.

it’s the only weapon on medium that’s viable in ranked because it completely eclipses the other weapons. makes the meta extremely boring and stale

recoil nerfs don’t do anything. especially given the fact this game has recoil smoothing. the gun is still objectively the best medium weapon but just feels worse to use. meaning more people just have to deal with a gun that feels worse now because it’s far more viable competitively. the weapon doesn’t really have a relevant downside. ammo hardly matters when you can kill a class in one clip easily and only have to reload after they’re dead

Fix the bug of not being able to use weapons,specializations and utilities, it happens very often when you spawn,you have to die and use coins to return to normal,its frustrating and makes you stop playing
Some white floors,after dematerializing or breaking,maintain their texture so that you can shoot or fall if you step on them,but you can't see through them
Ranked
Fix matchmaking system on ranked(higher ranks fall in matches with lower ranks,giving them privileged)
Show progress on ranked and be more transparent with the scoring you use
Anti cheat
Improve your anti cheat(We all know that in even big company games,cheaters are there,and it won't be any different in the finals)
Weapons and specialization
Nerfs weapons that don't need to aim,such as flamethrowers,grenade launchers,swords(in an FPS game these weapons need to have bigger bullet drop,smaller range,less bullet,longer reload time or smaller hit box,so that the player who has the skill of aim has a chance against those who don't,is it a competitive game or not?)
Increase a weapon's recoil or decrease damage isn't the only way to nerf it
L Invisibility could be slightly more visible(So that it becomes balanced by its speed,size and weapons with high cadence)
H Hand shield could be slightly nerfed(So that it makes sense how much life and the number of bullets your weapons have)
Toxic players
There are toxic players who disrupt the game(so that this doesn't happen frequently,the option to block players so that they don't join your team again)
Console
Enable mouse and keyboard on console(because you made the game crossplatform to have more players,so why not give them the opportunity to play against each other as equals?aim assistance is a joke)
Optimize the game for console,at least for the new generation(enable 120 fps and fix the crash and the drop performance problem)

I think it is a matter of time they introduce adrenaline shot for the Meduim build. Light and heavy build have protective abilities that can help them to recieve less damage but the medium build is always vulnerable in open fight. The medium build can heal the rest of the build but must wait for that long seconds for it health to regenerate. That is not fair and balanced. Medium build needs adrenaline shot in his gadgets.

Still objectively the best weapon in the game*. Insignificant recoil, phenomenal damage output, great effective range because of the above, its only real downside is mitigated by its short reload speed. Even if you can’t kill them with the 500 damage you have in a magazine, the reloads so short it hardly matters, just duck into cover for a second and a half and do it all over again.

I'd honestly just add a reload penalty so it punishes missed shots even more and gives you a wider window of opportunity to punished the missed shots. And revert the recoil changes, though I think hip-fire shoule be less accurate.

I agree with this. I can play for hours on end with friends, but when I'm solo I get tapped out after just a game or two. I don't know what the fix is, but the solo experience - even in quickplay - isn't very great.

please fix the game showing me every single embark (not steam) friend that is online just launched the game at the end of every round. Also please fix the game showing people left multiple times throughout the match. Someone could literally disconnect at the start of the match and the game will tell me 2 or 3 times during the match that they disconnected.

just saying the new skill issue event is a big screw you to people who have bad wifi, the only way to get it is by streaming which i'm sure there are dozens of people who don't have wifi good enough to stream. i'm saying this from experience, i play on avg 90-120 ping and i do play good, since i have high ping it means my upload and download is extremely low and not suitable for streaming. i know it's free for players but it's impossible to obtain for those who don't have good wifi

Matchmaking feedback, here is my 1h play session this evening, speaks for itself :

Match 1 - Escort, got absolutely crushed no balance whatsoever
Match 2 - Escort, joined in progress 2vs5, I leave
Match 3 - Quick Cash, joined in progress, match ended instantly after joigning
Match 4 - Quick Cash, joined in progress, match ended instantly after joigning
Match 5 - Quick Cash, joined in progress, team is at 0$ cashed, first team is 1 cashout away from win - play for like 2 min and match end
Match 6 - Escort, got absolutely crushed, no one in the team could even approach the area around the payload without getting insta death

We know that some people would like more progression. This includes something beyond diamond for a certain tier of player (although maybe that’s coming soon). A proposal (unfortunately, somewhat elaborate): at a certain level in ranked play, a diamond player can rank up to the point that they become sponsored by one of The Finals’ various sponsors. It would be like a select group of top players joining various big teams (a Team Holtow, a Team Volpe, a Team Ospuze, etc). Kind of like Red Bull athletes in real life. Then their play from that point contributes not to their individual rank but to the collective success of their sponsor for the season. As soon as they join, they earn special sponsor-related skins, but they’ll also have the potential to earn certain special end-of-season skins or rewards according to where their team finishes by the end of the season. I bet this is not an original idea, but I wonder if it would work in practice and maybe be as cool as I could imagine it being. As usual, I’m probably missing the obvious reason why something is a bad idea, so apologies in advance if so.

Pretty sure it's stagnated it's already back to the same pop as end of season 2, nothing major changed so the population didn't really change. Removal of wall hacks but more actual cheaters and buffing defib not touching the fcar, the changes haven't been particularly good for the game health.

Couple issues that Ive noticed in the last week. When you look at the scoreboard in game the columns for revives and respawn coins are swapped. At least 3 times now Ive been disconnected from a ranked game and when I load the game back up to reconnect, there is no reconnect option and I get a tournament suspension. As a light when getting defibed you are still able to use your ability charges (ex. Dash) without actually using it so when you fully revive you have no dash charges. Just some things to look into.

You don't even have to play. Hell, you don't even have to have the game properly loaded yet, it still counts.

If you have a PC/laptop, and you can play the game, you can definitely stream just the start screen.

If your wifi is really that bad, what are you even doing playing an online FPS.

Edit: 90-120 is ridiculous lol.
Regardless, streaming in a low quality is still less intense than actually playing the game.

So either you're talking out of your ass about the dominating, or you're just complaining about nothing.

90-120 ping is playable bro and i do not have a pc/laptop to stream it from. i play with 90-120 and i dominate most lobbies i get into in mostly any game i play. i'm not gonna let high ping stop me from playing online games lol. all i'm saying is they should've considered people with bad wifi.

edit: i'm honestly not gonna go back in forth with you, if you genuinely think i'm talking out my ass, there's no point of me saying anything because you don't think it's valid.
if there wasn't actually a problem i wouldn't be addressing it, i run 600kbps download and 400kbps and it's impossible for me to start streaming without being kicked out the call for lagging too much. this shows me you probably never experienced high ping and if you did probably for a short amount of time, also there is literally no reason why i would lie about dominating lobbies, i have nothing to gain from lying about that

The meta in quick cash is m11,Lewis and f scar gun they were supposed to reduce damage of Lewis gun and increase the recoil of m11 but every match I don’t see any other weapons.

Yeah, I def know the feeling, but cash from objectives and kills and losses from team wipes seem pretty relevant, too. Part of why the big cash payout at the end often seems so valuable is because in lots of matches there are so many team wipes that the value from the original cashouts dwindle. The 22k at the end would dwindle, too, presumably if there was further time, but the whole point is that it's the last cashout and there isn't. Anyway, I could easily see Embark eventually agreeing with you and tweaking it, so maybe they will, though part of the rationale is presumably wanting there to be stakes till the end and ideally for all four of the teams. If you make later cashouts worth too much less, there will be many more instances where teams are either definitely safe or definitely out of it.

Hi there, I have some feedback on the rank system so far. As of 3/29/2024, I have played some ranked matches, but there are still some issues. Firstly, matches are either filled with one good team (diamond) and three bad teams (gold/silver) or with three good teams and one bad team, which leads to poor matchmaking and the ranking system feeling similar to season 1 again, albeit slightly improved. I suggest adding two more ranks to help balance the matchmaking: one between platinum and diamond, and another for the top 500 players, as a tier above diamond to reward truly skilled players. Additionally, implementing rank restrictions is crucial. A bronze player and a diamond player shouldn't be able to queue together, even if the bronze player is entering a 'diamond-level' match. Having no rank restrictions significantly lowers the overall match quality.

For instance, if you're a diamond player, you should only be able to queue with platinum players. Alternatively, let's say you're a Diamond 1; you should only be able to queue with players within three sub-ranks below you, meaning only Diamond 4. It feels like sub-ranks, such as from diamond 4 to 1, don't matter at all. In other games, like CSGO or VALORANT, it actually matters. It feels like matchmaking is just going by the rank alone and not considering the "sub-rank" of that rank too, essentially limiting you to queuing with players one rank above and below yours until new ranks are introduced in the game.

Regarding the current state of ranks, they shouldn't be visible in matches until matchmaking is fair. The reason for this is that in matches where there is one good team and three lower-ranked teams, it usually plays out in a way where the lower-ranked teams either avoid the higher-ranked team or team up to try to knock them out, and I'm sure there's no fun in that. As of the last patch, you guys have actually doubled down on it, which I don't understand at all. I do appreciate your explanation as to why.

You're both probably right, but it still seems like you can outplay even the combination of cloak and stun gun in a lot of instances. Maybe lots have people have made this point, but the idea of 'balance' as I understand it seems fundamentally broken. Different weapons, abilities and gadgets will be OP or need a buff depending on the skill level of who is using them and who is playing against them. Not sure Embark can do anything but look at the overall balance and so it's possible they do the best possible job of designing the game and people will still have legit grievances at their level of skill and competition. There's more to the topic but don't want to tldr it. Edit: Also depending on the mode. Might even be a more important consideration. Mode-specific adjustments probably just way too convoluted but I could see people arguing for slightly nerfing lights in bank it, slightly buffing them in cashout, nerfing sniper and some others in power shift. Never going to happen, though.

Make dagger stick to walls then wall jump.

Have a lunge like sword but for dagger and it’s downwards when falling and it does 140 damage.

It still situational and u have 150 health,sword would still be better cause more range and auto-aim.

Yes I did and honestly just like "fix melee hitreg" (lordbirb) said. The solution to fixing and improving dagger is fixing the hit reg on backstabs and to be held. The weapon is already well designed and doesn't need an entire rework.

@merry totem I had said this many times before and It's that some things like Sniper, Stun Gun, Turrets, etc... Aren't necessarily overpowered or unbalanced. I find the problem to be the terrible design. They don't feel fair to die to, they're not fun to go against. The equipment that when you see, you get that "Ugh, not this shit again". That's what I believe makes people really despise stun. It even goes a step ahead by completely disabling all 4 melee weapons which I don't imagine anyone finds to be fun gameplay. I find cloak is fine as it is. But when a light stuns you because he was sitting in a corner for 5 hours and gets a free kill on you for the 10 millionth time, you just get bored.

On to balancing now. I know the dev teams are trying their best at balancing, but I feel like just nerfing things over and over again and eventually removing them is the wrong way to do it. Rather than nerfing and eventually removing them, why not add counterplay to them? Take the example of the "nuke". I was fine with the nerfs so far in season 1, but in season 2, you guys decided to completely make the nuke useless. There were so many ways you could approach it, either make other gadgets able to counter it better, or make the nukes themselves more risk-reward. Instead, you opted to over-nerf it to the ground. You guys do say that you go off by data for balancing, but it feels like it's more about listening to the wrong side of the community, aka the whiners, and not the competitive and passionate casuals. Some reason of yours of "removing" stuff is so you can work it out later on. I would much rather you guys keep it in the game and still actively balancing it out rather than the lazy way of removing it now and fixing it later. Afterall, removing it does change the game and meta, which changes isn't bad once in a while but I feel like having it in and changing it through time is a much better and healthier way.

Also cloak,turret and stun was made when players had more health and u needed 2 mags on one player at global launch and especially cloak(needs better audio cue and visual nerf) and smg don’t mix well at the point the game is balanced now.

Make a comment that will make the game interesting instead of wanting beta stuff and the hit box got recently fixed but dagger auto aim is still the main problem,it messes backstab hit box

The meta in quick cash is m11,Lewis and f scar gun they were supposed to reduce damage of Lewis gun and increase the recoil of m11 but every match I don’t see any other weapons.

U can beam m11 easily up close which is why it’s made for,for medium range yeah it bad but it’s milliseconds up close atleast have damage modifier for light and mediums to not get melted but it’s decent for heavies.
Cloak was a perfect fit for the finals global launch but now the balance is different and cloak and smg melt don’t mix well.
Need visual nerf for cloak ability but not vanish bomb that’s fine and there is an audio cue for that bad leave purple glitter lol

Yeah, you're def right about "not fun to go against," but some, and maybe most, of that is the player who sits in a corner for 5 hours (or on a crane for 5 hours, etc., etc.). Players who don't play the objective and rack up kills to a significant extent because they're playing against people who are actually trying to do two things at once, play and win the actual game and also get eliminations in order to do that. I think I commented yesterday that I really wish that the 'blocking' feature extended to matchmaking. Whether they are cheaters, just way better than me, or one of those very annoying opponents, shouldn't Embark's priority be maximizing players' ability to create a fun experience for themselves. Probably unworkable because the people I would block still have to be matched with 8 or 9 or 11 other players taking those players out of the pool for me to play with in that round, and then if I block 5 or 10 players, the math seems like it just breaks down. Also, I know this couldn't extend to Ranked, but that's what's so ridiculous and sad about the thing you're pointing out. It almost always involves spoiling a casual game and not some sweaty ranked match where everyone is just trying to use their tools however they can to win and you respect the people who manage to use the tools well, and ironically, it is the casual game that is primarily meant to be fun.

cloak was made for a different game balance compared to today.

global launch(gun balances was close to being good)player had too much health so a little bit faster time to kill would have been perfect but the balance now is weird where cloak,smgs and sword auto aim is crazy.

The ks 23 feels like an inferior version of revolver with destruction that’s too situational to be needed with such low damage to reward accuracy.
Increase damage but increase bullet drop(not projectile speed)
It’s an instant loss against medium grenade launcher against lights and annoying to other classes.
Decrease (right side)horizontal swing range of sword as u can hit with out looking.

The dagger needs to hook on walls holding secondary attack and wall jump further while hooking and add a fast downward thrust attack that does 150 damage or backstab,also a faster slide using dagger,a slide/half step when u double tap left or right to get a better position or evade.

At the very least make have different weapons balance for different game mode vs ranked.

the counter is use your ears and eyes, cloak is not full invis. Don't panic and spray wildly, the cloak wants to catch you while you're reloading. The best you can do is find a place they have limited approaches from, and just watch them. Use your ears and you'll know when to be ready to shoot. Then just kill them when they run by. You will basically always win unless you're running the AKM.

You don't need a gadget to counter invis. Just common sense and a gun that isn't shooting nerf darts.

If you're stunned... you have weapons that have great hipfire accuracy and will kill the light at close range before they can kill you. Its not an issue unless you're caught out alone in the open. But by that point, you are going to die anyways.

the game is objective based, not team deathmatch. does it matter if a light gets a "free" kill here and there if they cannot successfully hold or take an objective?, ive had lights sneak up and stun me multiple times and then my other 2 teammates wipe them and defib me. so the kill means nothing, yeah sure if you are off on your own its annoying but then thats where lights are meant to be good. picking off and flanking

and the few lights i played with that actually sticked and played with the team (Not too far nor too close for them to do their own thing) were the most competent teammates i had, especially when they actually stay by the objective and not run around chasing for kills alone

the game balance should still strive to be "fun" and currently a lot of lights just want to suicide into entire teams to trade singular kills that ultimately mean nothing for the overall objective. It's neither fun to die to some little cracked up gremlin suiciding into your squad, nor is it fun to have them on your team just turbofeeding their brains out for meaningless kills. Whether you think they're op or need buffs or whatever, with the game being purely objective based, light is in a pretty shit spot imo. The playstyle most people seem to feel like they encourage just doesn't mesh with how the devs clearly want us to play the game.

Interesting point but it applies for ranked and not casual quick play modes,also don’t rely on random players in ranked.

💥Why can’t the devs make a decent nerf?!
The meta in quick cash is m11,Lewis and f scar gun they were supposed to reduce damage of Lewis gun and increase the recoil of m11 but every match I don’t see any other weapons.

on this i totally agree lots of people do it but that shouldnt happen in higher lobbies and quickplay is just a sweaty mess in general as there are no tournies so its a mix of trolls, skill levels, people prepping for ranked and sweats racking up kills. i dislike when people call stun or invis op and complain as i dont want light to be nerfed into the ground with the only viable tech it has as it doesnt help win a game as it is atm, but yeah for sure 90% of lights i see do exactly that, try to rack up kills by running in like mad, sweating kills for no reason. i would prefer light to get a buff to make them more viable. it sucks to see ranked pretty much always MMH or MMM. i just get worried with all the complaints it will just see light get nerfed to the ground for something that isnt a problem meta wise and is the only thing keeping light in the game.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
Increase damage from 84 to 90 (to kill heavies in 4 hits instead of 5)
Electrify the baton and give it a glitch effect, when you hit somebody they're glitched for 2,5 sec (This would give the shield so much utility and would help the team greatly, making it a viable options)
Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

ALLOW MELEE WEAPONS TO KEEP SPRITING WHEN ATTACKING:

This would help them to compete

IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:

Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger

FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them
Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

Stop repeating silly comments u r not supposed to chase others with shield,u should be around teammates to defend them and let them be offensive.
Get mouse and keyboard so u don’t need auto aim.
We r not in beta and devs won’t listen about dagger hold and release,auto aim is the main problem not hit box anymore it’s fixed
Atleast make interesting comments and make additions to the game rather then reverts

U need to help spread the message to the devs on dagger buff!
Daggers should hook onto walls and ceilings by holding or double tapping secondary attack and wall running for 0.85 seconds after hooking,also fast wall jumping it’s only for getting around vertical places not fast travel so making the dagger more utility based would be nice and remember sword lunge and dash combo can help u fast travel cover large distance and do high damage 360 degrees with auto aim but dagger is just awkward.

Dagger should have fast downwards thrust that do 150damage that’s like sword lunge but downwards so u can hook on walls and ambush players.

Add slide step or a fast half step as a way to get a better angle or wall peek,evade.

Fix the auto aim as u can miss point blank backstabs,fix the input delay for dash as when players r turning it goes in a different direction because of the delay at least for dagger.

Dagger wall jumps should be higher than normal jumps.
U can grapple hook up or dash up and do a downward thrust or u can be stuck up a wall while cloaked and then fall down for ambush so there is synergy will all abilities too

Either swap the scope on the xp-54 with the lh1 or add a scope to the lh1 but change the xp-54 reticle to something more like the FCARs circle dot. Although the xp-54 scope it self isn’t all that bad the triangle indicates the bullets leaving at the tip which is true on single shots but when using the XP-54 fully auto the reticle shakes immensely making it hard to continuously keep track of the bullets leaving the tip of the triangle resulting in decreased accuracy. A scope like the one on the XP-54 is much more suited for single shot precision weapons allow for more head shot accuracy or long range accuracy with well time shots which is why I think it the scope should be on the lh1 instead of the XP-54

The entire weapon revolves around the backstab mechanic. Why add a "sword lunge from Wish" type shit? This isn't assassin's creed lmao. I have mained dagger for so long and I know what I'm talking about, these suggestions are silly, make no sense and don't fit the weapon.

The new voice lines are hilarious and all going in the right direction! I noticed these:

"one less to worry about!" (eliminating an enemy team member)
"honey, I'm home!" (after being revived by a teammate)
There are a couple others but I'm getting brain freeze rn.

Overall good stuff, would be neat to have more fight-relevant voicelines such as "enemy above!" to indicate snipers or enemy positions related voice lines like "watch your right/left/back" when enemies are in those positions.

Unpopular opinion: Light movement doesn't make up for light health.

Lights are fast but, even with dash the bullets are faster. If your within 25 meters, you can't move fast enough to not get FCAR'd. You'll run out of dashes and then they'll mag dump you to oblivion. 1 v 1 you can win, but it won't be 1 v 1, someone else is going to shoot that last 20 hp out of you. If you're further away your not close enough to defend a Cash Out. So maybe you snipe a bunch of kills, but the enemy still takes your Cash Out and wins the game.

Invis works, but some players will always see you, almost like they have invis disabled on their screen. So how does a light make their 150 hp last like a medium or heavy when trying to defend an objective? In experience, if the Light isn't playing twice as good as the enemy, then the Light is dying more than the enemy.

The other guns hit harder, have more rounds, and are carried by HP tanks that can take a hit, realize they're being hit, turn around, and shoot back before dying. Oftentimes killing the light that shot at them. As a Light, mutual deaths are quite common.

When you are shooting at each other, a slight movement speed advantage, really doesn't have the impact that having an extra 67% health does.

Light needs a buff to be competitive. I'd suggest reducing the time it takes for Lights to regen health. At least then, they can do some damage, nearly die, and come back strong enough to finish the kill before the target is fully healed again.

Guys this ranked play is simply unplayable, the state of the matchmaking is abysmal. I get that there aren't that many players in lower ranks, but I haven't had a single game where I haven't been matched up with Platinums and Diamonds, myself and my friend being Bronze 1 and Gold 4. Not only does this increased difficulty not help us rank up at all, as this skill level difference doesn't yield additional points, we simply get steamrolled every game

I understand downward thrust is nerfed version of sword so u said wish type shit but we can’t just copy sword and call it dagger.
Since swords can dash plus melee combo in milliseconds and one shot other lights with dagger u r sitting duck and even if u tase them u get out ranged and still die.
It’s better then nothing and fits the ambush aspect of dagger.
Sword excelled at attacking horizontally so dagger is more vertical

Said combo is far harder to land than you think. If you had dedicated more time into Dagger you'd know that Dash Dagger VS Sword is a somewhat fair match up on the same skill level, slightly leaning in favor of sword on lower skill levels.

it’s the only weapon on medium that’s viable in ranked because it completely eclipses the other weapons. makes the meta extremely boring and stale

recoil nerfs don’t do anything. especially given the fact this game has recoil smoothing. the gun is still objectively the best medium weapon but just feels worse to use. meaning more people just have to deal with a gun that feels worse now because it’s far more viable competitively. the weapon doesn’t really have a relevant downside. ammo hardly matters when you can kill a class in one clip easily and only have to reload after they’re dead

Few quality of life update ideas ~ 120hz support for PlayStation and Xbox also haptic/adaptive trigger support for ps5 would be amazing, being able to feel all the different guns and gadgets and proper rumble when running through walls and terrain, also a favorites tab for all your outfits and skins and being able to name them, I have a lot of skins and would be dope to be able to shuffle through my favorites, few cosmetics that would go in are box braids and dreads plus a durag as headgear keep up the good work embark love this game so much really hope we see haptics soon seeing as we have gyro controls 🤣but no haptics

Hi there, I have some feedback on the rank system so far. As of 3/29/2024, I have played some ranked matches, but there are still some issues. Firstly, matches are either filled with one good team (diamond) and three bad teams (gold/silver) or with three good teams and one bad team, which leads to poor matchmaking and the ranking system feeling similar to season 1 again, albeit slightly improved. I suggest adding two more ranks to help balance the matchmaking: one between platinum and diamond, and another for the top 500 players, as a tier above diamond to reward truly skilled players. Additionally, implementing rank restrictions is crucial. A bronze player and a diamond player shouldn't be able to queue together, even if the bronze player is entering a 'diamond-level' match. Having no rank restrictions significantly lowers the overall match quality.

For instance, if you're a diamond player, you should only be able to queue with platinum players. Alternatively, let's say you're a Diamond 1; you should only be able to queue with players within three sub-ranks below you, meaning only Diamond 4. It feels like sub-ranks, such as from diamond 4 to 1, don't matter at all. In other games, like CSGO or VALORANT, it actually matters. It feels like matchmaking is just going by the rank alone and not considering the "sub-rank" of that rank too, essentially limiting you to queuing with players one rank above and below yours until new ranks are introduced in the game.

Regarding the current state of ranks, they shouldn't be visible in matches until matchmaking is fair. The reason for this is that in matches where there is one good team and three lower-ranked teams, it usually plays out in a way where the lower-ranked teams either avoid the higher-ranked team or team up to try to knock them out, and I'm sure there's no fun in that. As of the last patch, you guys have actually doubled down on it, which I don't understand at all. I do appreciate your explanation as to why.

Replays require the server to record the gamestate (every tick, for several seconds), when you have destruction physics that becomes a very costly thing very quickly. It's also likely that a lot of clients would struggle loading it back in, especially when you can get revived mid replay.

Randomized pellet spread is a horrible idea, and so is removing dash with sword. The only valid ones you have in my eyes are like nerfing FCAR and text chat

Need Lower the message requirement for people to start LFG. The first rank requires 35 messages and should be lowered to 10. Even allowing the LFG channel and roles after 5 minutes in the server would be somewhat sufficient. Some players just want to start looking for players to play with and realistically this would help increase players in LFG rather than just chatting in random in the public chats.

the “long range skill gap” thing everyone talks about is really lame i’m gonna be honest. this game shines in close quarters and should actively encourage closer engagements. long range potshotting has been way too viable for way too long and feels terrible to play against. also, long range is still in the game they just put it on select weapons that specialize in it like the famas and sniper. that’s how it should be. most weapons should not be proficient at long range

Especially in Power Shift I feel like I get robbed of more frags than I gain with this feature. It's super trash already. Put on some headphones and actually watch for invis moving around. Granted outside the sound range they are hard to detect on only visuals but with headphones a light should never get a close combat drop on you unless they are standing still or someone plays CL40/MGL. Just learn to listen for the sound and as soon as you hear it look for their Predator-invis and beam them. I can assure you light players rage harder than you because they are a 1-trick.

Yeah and therein lies your failure. You want them to nerf something that you aren't even trying to counter? You know when the game starts if there are lights with cloak. Everytime you engage in a fight make it a habit to quickly tab and look at their team comp if you can't remember. If they have a light just remember to listen and play around the team having a light. If you split you are gonna get rekt very likely. Which is probably also one of your issues. If team mates refuse to follow you, follow them. Lights very rarely engage if 2 people are "too close".

Believe me I played alot with invis and its op in combination with high damage weapons because you litterly can follow someone and engage while they have no clue, it happened with me alot when I played light... Stealing a Cashout should also prolong the game timer if the clock hits zero. As in, if you are actively stealing the Cashout, as long as your attempt is still ongoing, it shouldn’t matter if the clock hits zero. Otherwise the game should just be over with 7 seconds remaining instead of zero because you can’t steal a Cashout otherwise.

We should be able to use the practice range with our friends

Not sure if this was intentional or if it is a feature that will be added later, but I don't think there's a negative for allowing parties to head into the practice range/arena together to warm up. It's not just a simple shooting range either as there is essentially a "snap shot" of an area where a fight would typically take place on any map. You have a building with multiple floors, zip lines, bots to practice aim on, etc. I think it would be great to utilize that and be able to discuss a little strategy while warming up your aim and chatting with your buddies before heading into a match. Could practice entry strats, positioning, team shotting, escaping together, grabbing respawn trophies and reviving, and so much more imo. Anyone else agree? I love the practice range by the way.

And if I offended you I am sorry bro. Imo light players are the most easy to kill because they have to little health but just invisibilty is anoying because they can suprise you. Also you cant stay constantly by youre teammate, for example in bankit, if you die you mostly you respawn far away from youre team. Also the sound from invis is bugged sometimes. Hence there is / was even a bug that players where shooting and still invis... Also the time that invis longs is way to long and you cant see them clearly. Sure you can hear them but if you are shooting or just a lot of explosions or whatever noises there are you dont hear them. BUT PLEASE DONT ANSWER ME BACK BECAUSE ITS AN EVERLESTING ARGUEING BECAUSE WE HAVE DIFERENT OPINIONS

Day 24 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS
Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets
bullets do high damage to structures, allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
- significant damage to structures and players
- gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
- high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
- its a goddamn minigun
- Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
- lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such
- gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

I totally agree, Opacity is a large problem, with seemingly a simple fix.

Sound for footsteps is a problem, which is probably a bit more complex for the dev team but I believe in them haha

Spawns are upsetting too. being forced to run 180 m in 20 seconds while your teammates are fighting on cashout alone.

Ranked wait times on Xbox are so broken, I dont even want to try to hop back on after last night going thru 6 entire 7 minute queues…

The external website is also dumb to me. You guys really cant let players change our names within the game?

I really dont think any equipment needs nerfed, I really wouldnt mind getting the glitch grenade versus the glitch mine, it might make me actually use it haha.

Wow. First match of the day and the whole round was owned by one aimbot user. When cheaters infest the casual playlists you know you have an issue.

Watching shots track my teammate thru walls is entertaining for about 15 seconds but damn could Kick Player be an option during matches? If the player is flagged by multiple players of the match across the different teams for the same reason they get the boot.

Give us something to work with here if you cant get ahead of the cheaters with detection software at least.

Reminding the devs of this. Your monetization implementation is awful, I would love to spend money on this game but your methodology is questionable.

I'm someone who regularly spends money on cosmetics in games. (League of legends, Valorant, Helldivers, etc.) What is the thought process behind locking 95% of cosmetics behind full bundles? Most of the stuff in bundles is just awful. I want to buy certain parts from outfits. Not the entire outfit. I'm not spending 25 euros on a bundle when all I want is the facepaint or headpiece? It's like the devs dont want people's money?

Bundles should come with a discount compared to buying items individually. But items should not be locked behind a full bundle. This makes no sense. I'm not spending 3x20 euros to piecemeal my character together. 🤔

My concern is that they implemented SBMM as mentioned in one of Oscar's videos (I think), but they're prioritizing queue times so the time it takes to find a match isn't too bad. I don't think this is every case, but I've seen a solid number of matches in the past week where there are diamonds and silvers or bronzes. And the teams are rarely split evenly: 1-2 teams stomp in these matches while the other 2 can be disqualified with a total of like 1-5 kills per team. So even if hidden MMR is a thing, it's not tuned well. I know DOTA ranked match timers would be unacceptable, but I don't think the current system is doing a good job.

Edit: 30 minute slow-chat is too long for general discussions about feedback. 5 minutes would be better. Unless you don't want discussions and instead want people 'voting' on feedback comments, in which case could you clarify as such

I think games should try to stay away from things that actively remove skill

We already had some stuff like this that thankfully got removed
Nukes,
why fight someone when you can just 1-shot them?
Recon,
why have awareness when you can just pop it every so often and be sure you're not being snuck up on?
why predict when that guy will peek, when you can just use this and see it?

but we still have a few things that sometimes remove a decent amount of skill in some way
rpg,
why engage in a normal fight and aim when you could this instead to remove 40-90% of the enemies hp in 1 shot and likely win after?
shields,
why use good positioning/movement to get close to the enemies when you can just use this to double/quadruple your hp and run at them?
aps,
why fight against projectile weapons when sitting on this just entirely denies them?
stun gun,
why aim when you can just be shooting a target dummy?
why use movement to make enemies miss when you can just force hipfire and have rng do that for you?
cloak,
why use movement and positioning to hide and get close to enemies when you can just run in and pray it works?

obviously this does not mean they cant be used in a skillful way
but oftentimes it can feel like you lost to someone worse than you, just because they removed the need to employ certain skills they otherwise lack, which is frustrating

Wholeheartedly agree. This just seems like someone in charge completely dropped the ball or has no clue how other games are doing it (for a good reason). Not that I am a big spender but currently I'm a no-spender, beside battle pass, for the exact same reason.
@rustic ember And how would they do that? You provide no feedback. It doesn't need a buff. You can combo every build with almost instant kill already. You just need to have a team that is willing to play around you being melee and that is the only difficult part about it.

Hello! I got The Finals recently and I wanted to share my feedback. I currently have 27 hours in the game!

I don't have many thoughts on maps/weapons/gadgets as I'm sure more experienced players will give more useful feedback.

The new player experience is incredible.
I'm so happy that there's motivation to play with weapons, gadgets, and cosmetics to unlock. The currency method also promotes experimentation!
Career is a great way to try new things and drive me to play, and the current Bunny Bash event made me love some new weapons.

The game could use just a bit more polish!
Some things I've noticed that tripped me up is Auto Sprint not working immediately after respawn, not facing the direction of any objectives when respawning, unable to ping after death, and of course, no kill cam. The game could also use some QOL features that could also help new players, like a health bar on jump pads and ziplines, and a text chat! Then there's the bugs, which I'm sure is being observed. Hope to see the gadget wheel work on PC soon!

The cosmetics are good, but the monetization is bad.
It's so cool how much variety you have in dressing up your contestant, and the outfits are all so stylish, I'd consider buying currency and the battle pass.
But wow, there may be a bit too much variety in some cases. Individual weapon skins, stickers, sound effects, emoticons, sprays. It's great when grouped up with bundles, but it all falls flat when it's mainly battle pass filler. Weapon skins (that are wraps, not remodels) feel especially crazy, as each skin is for one weapon.

Overall the game is super fun! I'm having a blast, and still trying to get friends to play. Keep up the good work!

Hello second suggest for the APS, The gadgets function is perfect but i think it works a little to well, it is a complete counter to cl-40 and mg32 anyone can hide behind an APS and those weapons can do nothing. I suggest that the APS can only deflects x amount of items whereas if it had 5/10 projectiles thrown or shot twords it after it deflects those 5/10 it gets destroyed

Can You guy please do something about the Spawn Distance, It's very annoying when you Spawn far away from the other objective especially when your team close to winning, I just dislike the fact I get spawn at the back of the map when the objective all the way over there.

Hey everyone, I love the finals almost as much as all of you. It's a refreshing change of pace compared to alot of the other popular FPS.

However, there are times where the game can feel very frustrating. Currently, the game encourages third parties and last minute steals. While I understand the game is all about playing the objective, there are a few things that I think could enhance the experience.

Cashout payout changes

Imagine if the cashout paid out for the amount of time is held instead of paying out 10k, 15k, and 22k at the end of the timer (130seconds).

For example:

$10k - $77/second held
$15k - $115/second held
$22k - $170/second held.

Alternatively, we could keep it the same, but add a multiplier to the cash received from kills while defending the cashout.

I'm not sure what would be a good percentage. Currently you make $200 for every kill. Perhaps you could gain $500 for every kill while defending.

Either way, both of these changes would encourage defending the objective. Which might also change the meta around

Currently. You can run MHH and position yourself to steal last minute. Medium steals, while both heavy use their shield and body block. Or you can run MMH. Heavy steals, while both mediums heal and body block.

It's honestly so easy to win when you avoid fights, third party exclusively, and aim to steal last minute cashouts with this strategy.

I think the suggested changes would change the formula, and encourage team work and playing the objective.

What do you guys think? Do you agree or disagree with me? And what other suggestions would you consider could change rank system for the better?

Hey please can someone fix the matchmaking in both regular/ranked matches? I’m getting paired with people who are way above my skill level and ranking is difficult and not fun because of it. Don't you think that the respawn sometimes feels a little rigged? like if the game wants you to respawn 80 m away from the cashbox you may reach it, but sometimes it is like 300 m away...

How to fix ranked:

Fix anticheat
Shorten tourneys to 3 rounds for faster queue times, less accessibility issues (rank mixing and the experience taking somewhere between 12-60minutes is annoying)
Fix the spawns to encourage all the objs to be worked rather than letting one team skate by while the orher three fight over a single cashbox.
Last round is four-team winner-take-all. Head to heads are boring and stupid.

I was wondering to give it to lights so they have to be accurate with their shots for once and not spray and pray with high accuracy with most pistols and smgs.

Just watched a streamer get DC'd, when they rejoin they got stuck with a default medium build. He played out the rest of the round just to get DC'd again. Now he can't reconnect at all and will get a matchmaking ban and an L.

I'm fairly certain Embark will revert to us being able to leave because I've seen a lot of feedback on it, multiple people every single day, and it's always the same story. There is no way they can keep this unless they are secretly building a way for people to fill those slots. (doubt)

nerf fcar fire rate.

it’s the only weapon on medium that’s viable in ranked because it completely eclipses the other weapons. makes the meta extremely boring and stale

recoil nerfs don’t do anything. especially given the fact this game has recoil smoothing. the gun is still objectively the best medium weapon but just feels worse to use. meaning more people just have to deal with a gun that feels worse now because it’s far more viable competitively. the weapon doesn’t really have a relevant downside. ammo hardly matters when you can kill a class in one clip easily and only have to reload after they’re dead

I'm struggling to find any real life utility for the data reshaper. Range is too short to do anything, needing me to suicide into the enemies to do what... Get rid of their turret? APS? My own bullets and nades can do that from far range, why should I have to be within melee range to do anything.

And again, I don't really gain anything from reshaping enemy gadgets. Does the turret swap teams and start helping me? No... it's now a chair...

It needs something else to make me a reason to pick it. Only usable right now in 1 gamemode in 1 scenario and that's diving into the platfrom on power shift where 4 other enemies are. Something like doubling, trippling its range or chaning the function into being a data "converter" where indead of enemy turret becoming a chair, it's now MY turret. Would also punish enemies abandoning their turret far away to get a better crossfire if their objective is attacked.
