hey whenever I try to boot the game up, I get all the way to a black screen with the loading icon at the bottom right but then the game just closes. I've tried validating, reinstalling, updating drivers, turning off overlays like discord, the works. anybody else have this issue and a fix for it?

There's a bug where Heavy can't use their mesh shield or Goo gun. Pressing the button won't do anything and instead make the Heavy re equip their weapon

This is extremely unfiar, the game has been nearly unplayable for me and most of pc players playing on controller,
atleast give us a reason why it has been soft banned, you won't find any, I opened a ticket on the website and the response was ( EAC thinks it could be used for cheating ) really??

xbox accessibility controller depends on ds4windows,

most disabled players use ds4windows to remap buttons to be able to play and enjoy the game. you are basically punishing them for their disability??!

any controller with back paddles must use a remapping program to be able to use the back paddles, otherwise the game won't see them

any player playing with a generic controller (ie. not xbox nor Playstation controller) uses ds4windows to emulate an xbox controller so that the game reads it, even the dualsense pro controller is sometimes not detected by the game and needs ds4windows

those and many many many other uses for the program.
Embark I really love you and appreciate the awesome game you created but you are annihilating an big part of your community.

I won't play this game anymore without until you guys fix this.

Bug/Game Issue

Since season 3 I get an unknown UE crash after playing between 90-110 minutes. Always this specific time. This only occurs in The Finals for me. I have no other details since nothing seems to cause the crash.

I have tried nearly any troubleshooting.
Also have I tried contacting Embark support and asking the Discord mods.
Unfortunately they couldn't be of any help.

Hey, I currently have an issue where the game starts stuttering randomly during matches for a few seconds, then goes back to normal. It happens pretty much every game but only like 1-3 times per match I'd say. Haven't had this problem since the game came out, recently got back into it and it started happening. Embark, I've collected these pictures throughout the seasons of the game and I'm not sure if this is an intended feature or should be classified as a bug but regardless of what this it should be looked into. A lot of times the glare and bloom in this game is so bright and strong that it's hard to play the game or look further than a few meters ahead of you. It's the worst if you're looking outside from inside the building. It's the same look regardless of what the weather is, rainy, cloudy, sunny. Only on night maps this bug doesn't occur because that's self explanatory. It just becomes a white area and enemies from outdoors can see you perfectly fine standing inside but you can't. Another thing is that weapons that have a scope with a glare effect gets hidden because of this because you can't see the white reflection because it's hidden. This is the most obvious with snipers.

This look persists on ALL quality settings from low to epic with raytracing ON and OFF regardless if raytracing is set to low or max. I've tried everything so I'm sure this is a bug and not intended to happen. If this game wants to be esport ready than this is one of those things that add unnecessary and unfair advantage to the game.

Try the Bug Reports section. Make a title, tell them what the problem is and what platform you're on, and they get back to you. If you're on XBOX, the same thing happens with my 120 fps setting but the rest of them stay static.

Hey, for some reason with sledge like half the time when I try to do a light attack, it shows the animation for the heavy attack, while still doing the amage and timing of the light attack, and vice versa. okay can anyone help me. I've been trying to find fixes for the Finals for maybe a month now. Updating, uninstalling/reinstalling, graphic driver updates, checking task manager, force running through directx11, all of it doesn't fix my problem. Every time I open the game it makes it all the way through easy anti-cheat just fine, when it starts loading on the first black screen with the finals logo in the bottom right corner, it lags out/just crashes immediately. It worked just fine for like a year before that, but I can't understand what's changed that makes it no longer work. This only started to happen after the valentine's update.

It has happened x8 times. I connect to a game, am in for the 20-30 seconds it takes to pick loadout and load into the match, then the screen freezes and I get the kicked from server screen. I was unable to take a clip of it, but I was able to see enemies through walls of the entire map as their were highlighted as if they were getting revealed by sonars. I remember this bug from season 3-4, and seems like it's back. Like, it's permanent, even when they die and respawn I'm still able to see them.

tldr: you cannot play Finals with mult-OS installed anymore. Had to wipe Linux from my PC (I use windows for finals) and then change all my boot processes around to a specific set of options. Now the game opens. So if you have a boot loader that isnt windows boot loader, disable that then disable CSM and enable secure boot

Dual blades is a bad weapon. It is completely countered by having more than one player work against them. It only really works against people who don't have the sense to just not shoot at the blades, 'cause if the DB player tries to swing at you you can just kill them faster, and if you're L or M you can avoid close range engagement quite easily. Riot shield is better simply because the shield still works while attacking.

you would notice if you used DB or riot shield a lot, that there's a latency-induced time delay between entering the defensive stance and actually being able to block shots, and it can be quite significant

7. Movement skills, jumppad yourself/them away, demat, Anchor, charge and slam, hooks, fucking GOO, dash sword, grapple, or fucking get high ground to force them to climb and expose their head to you.

8. "DURRR IT BLOCKS FROM BEHIND" No it doesn't. You're shooting at their back, from their left and right. It blocks in a BUBBLE. which, the animations will tell you, it stills blocks. IT's like complaining that the riot shield passively block the left side of their character. Go to a custom game with a friend and test it.

9. How is it in this assault rifles, DMR and spam meta, you're one of the fews that bitch and moans about a melee weapon, one of the weakest option in fact, only beaten in how bad it is by the funny stick that the heavy calls a spear?

Please implement BOTS in ranked and/or WT matches because since season 2 we haven't had ranked SA, the rest of the South American players end up giving up and abandoning the game, here they only find casual and to have a little more competitiveness we have to pull matches on the NA server which is literally full of Brazilians playing at 180ms, and playing with such a high ms is like a kill free. We South Americans and Latin Americans love this game and would love it to have RANKED here in our region because I'm sure that by finding a match at least, the people who abandoned along with the people who only play casual would join together and in a short period of time it would no longer be necessary to implement BOTS in the ranked and WT South America Server.

@solemn glen hey I just came here to report a similar bug, I’m playing on pc with my friends on Xbox and once we join a game I won’t be able to connect to the voice chat. The only way to fix this is by disbanding the party and inviting them over again.
Yesterday I was also mid tournament with no voice chat issues and during the start of the final round i couldn’t connect to voice chat

ohh I think I know what's going on. the game keeps creating the default 'light 1', 'medium 2' and so on names. if you don't rename those with this default name, it shouldn't duplicate.
