Have you been struggling with the demat lately? With the latest patch I’m always getting an extra layer that isn’t getting dematted when I want to go through a wall/floor

It’s like the same issue you get when using Demat in Las Vegas, but on every map now (SysHorizon, Skyway Stadium, etc). I have to use at least 2 charges of demat to get completely through (this has killed me a lot these last couple of days 😩)

I just wanted to know, every time I join a game, I either get put into the lobby screen or my whole server lags. Any clues to why it happens? I'll give an update tomorrow if it ever happens again.

P.S. I play on Asia servers. And my ping is always stable (30-40ms) in other online games

I've had (I know many have too) been experiencing heavy lag spikes during combat, ever since last update its been like this, now being on being sent back to the lobby i haven't experienced that. I recommend changing to TAAU if you haven't, also try verifying the game files (If you use steam)

The only solution that I have found is if I launch the game with "-D3D11" in the launch options on Steam. This runs the game for a few seconds and crashes after I try to find a game or go through the setting of the game.

It's by design. Each tour last 2 weeks, you have 2 weeks to complete a stage before it moves onto the next and locks the previous ones.

This is most likely a hardware issue. Probably a 13/14 gen Intel processor. Those are faulty and degrade quickly.

Intel put out 2 generations of faulty hardware. If you are getting memory access violation errors then you need to RMA your CPU. I would recommend getting a refund and buying 12th gen.

The only solution I found is running the game in directx 11 mode . In Steam right click on The Finals -> Properties -> and in Launch options write "-dx11" witouth quotation marks. Game works terribly in dx11 for me, but at least it works...

Lately, as in the last season or two ive been having an audio issue. Everytime there is a major update my game sound ceases to work at all. I play on PC and ive checked my PC sound settings and they are correct and ive checked in game sound settings and its correct, ive played other games and the sound is fine on the other games. Hey, I play almost every day and I saw a massive performance hit in the last patch of Season 03. I went from having constant 280fps down to 140-160 and some of my skin shaders turned off too. Example: the cardboard sniper skin doesn’t have any displacement, its just flat image textures.

On the new S 04 map the railings on the roof cant be destroyed sometimes. Visually they get destroyed but you cant fall down because they are invisibly there. (You can see their outline with dematerializer).

in reference to tfge error, I heard someone online say its because multiple skins have been applied to a gun (i.e. across classes) I reset my router that didn't help, I have fast internet and an ethernet cable so that's prolly not it and am verifying game files rn. After that I'm gonna try setting all my guns to 1 skin. I did have a really odd bugged out selection screen where the skins where on default, so it might be that but I do not know yet will be trying that and giving an update.

Man the performance in the new map is honestly quite good however I also realised something going from Taau 100 to 35 wich makes the game go from sharp to blurry mess and mind you all the settings are at low and same with resolution but this change barely gets me 10 extra frames. It really feels like no.mTter what I change I barely get any frames. Now I'm happy since compared to last update I can kinda reach 55-60 fps but I still wish lowering my settings actually gave me better performance (well it does but not a lot) I also wish that we could maybe disable shadows and reflections since I can't even see them half the time anyways and from experience from cb1 these 2 options were the most taxing ones and at the tame made me gain 30 fps.

To everyone experiencing the TGFE0000 error, deleting all my contestants and creating new ones from scratch fixed the issue for me. It's worth a shot if you haven't tried that yet. Delete all contestant loadouts and just start with 1 default loadout and try playing a few Quick Play matches. I added a new light, and then went to add a new medium but when i clicked continue it froze up, and of course "Monkey brain activate" i click continue another 20 times with no response, i went back to the main menu, back into contestants and tried again. With the 0000, 0003, 0008 errors the best I've gotten to work is making one medium contestant with default everything, loading into the match with them and once at loadout selection I pick the character I actually want to play

I've tried all of these and nothing seems to work. The only actual solution i've found requires luck. If you queue into, lets say Monaco, and get dissconected, then queue into another game and get Monaco again, it will let you in. Other than that, nothing so far, unless Kermit figures something out.

Part 1 of This Game Is Busted

After almost 80 hours' play time, I joined the server just to list some things about how bloody broken your stupid, Stockholm syndrome-inducing game is. When it works, it's a ton of fun. Unfortunately, it only works 10% of the time. One match can be incredible - pin-point accuracy, everything works as intended. The next match is a disaster and you drop from 10+ kills to zero, with the same number of deaths as you had kills in the previous match because nothing works the way it should.

10fps is Awesome!
Nevermind that my PC can do 80fps+ (and I'm already playing on the lowest detail settings), let's kill the framerate at random times. Sometimes it's because a whole building is collapsing. Other times it just happens because reasons.

Moonwalking!
Because it's great not to be able to move - why would I need to move in a game that relies on movement, when I can just moonwalk until I get shot to hell?

I've practically emptied whole magazines into players without landing one shot. Because it's fun to unload my .50cal Desert Eagles into a medium's face while he stands there giggling at me because none of my shots hit.

Had it last night again, countless times - once dropped from the stairs right on top of a light's head, with dual .50s, shooting as I'm falling - they're standing dead still. Not one shot landed. Before I submit this as a bug as it just might be undeclared settings changes.. I've noticed that the audio for season 4 with the matches that I've played has been weird. Like I am hearing gunfire and explosions that are seemingly way distant with the same volume as if it's happening right near me.

I am experiencing a super strange bug. Whenever I am in a match Microsoft 365 opens randomly. It can be one or multiple times per match with various time apart. This ONLY happens when I'm in a match. It doesn't happen while in lobby, or on any other game or app. I've been in contact with Microsoft support. Their only solution was to make sure that Microsoft 365 isn't allowed to run in the background. That didn't help. So far I've tried:

• uninstalling Microsoft 365 (this just opens a browser with Microsoft 365 info instead, https://www.microsoft.com/sv-se/microsoft-365/onedrive/online-cloud-storage?market=se)
• setting Windows notifications to off (do not disturb)
• re-installing THE FINALS
• formatting my computer and reinstalling Windows 11 pro and then reinstalling Steam and THE FINALS again

I have been experiencing a weird phenomena where my external monitor (which im playing The Finals on) randomly alt-tabs / loses focus for a brief moment and immediately goes back into the game. It happens at random and its not because of my GPU or CPU bottlenecking, neither are close to 100% of usage.

I have tried seeing if any other applications steal The Finals focus using a focus logger, but nothing steals it..

Go to Steam and right click on 'The Finals' and press 'properties' on the popup menu. 5. Go to 'Installed files' and press 'verify integrity', this will generate a new folder called 'Discovery' with default settings for your game, and it will hopefully fix your FPS issues. If this did not work and you want your old settings back, delete 'Discovery' and rename 'Discovery.old' to 'Discovery' again.

updated full list of things I've tried that didn't work regarding the TFGE0000, TFGE0003, and TFGE0008 codes making it to where I can't join any mode at all:

• verified game integrity
• reinstalled game
• deleted all characters
• made sure to not make a 7th or 8th character
• flushed dns in cmd
• vpn on and off
• crossplay on and off
• use all items and guns in practice range (9/10 times won't even load into the range bc of these errors, but the times I did this didn't fix anything)
• region change (was let into a single practice range session but after that errors again on subsequent tries)
• fullscreen vs borderless
• graphics low vs high

In order of frequency, 0000 >>>> 0008 >> 0003

I literally cannot play anything until they push out a fix.

EDIT: Changed my preferred region from NA to EU. In a practice range now. Gonna test consistency.

EDIT 2: Looks like that was a one-off occurence. Now getting errors again. Another to the bullet list.

EDIT 3: Looks like this may have to do with the new sights and possibly any cosmetics and the equipping to multiple characters via equipment screen. Testing further right now.

so, it seems this is very likely to do with new sights. So far that's what's common for when I connect to practice range successfully vs not. So, what I would do if you're experiencing these errors is go to your equipment screen, go to every gun with a new sight and make sure it's set to its original sight.

So

• FCAR scope, XP-54 scope, FAMAS iron sight, AKM iron sight, etc: No error
• FCAR iron sight, XP-54 iron sight, FAMAS scope, AKM scope, etc: TFGE error
• For the PIKE-556, the scoped sight gives no error whereas the iron sight does. So use the scoped sight.

I do not have enough VRs yet to unlock every sight and test every single one to be 100% sure, but this seems to be the trend for what I do have unlocked.

TL;DR: Anyone who has the TFGE0000/0008/0003 errors, try putting the default sight per gun on all your characters and reply back if this worked.

i was able to load into powershift after removing my extra contestant, then was able to play one world tour before the issue came back.
After they came back, I removed the red dot off of my revolver, it was the only sight I had bought and unlocked before the issues started. I was able to load in to WT and play the first round, got the issue again as I was loading in to the second round match.

For me specifically it's just been facial hair, I can equip intros/emotes/clothes/weapon skins fine. But there may be one that causes an error so again I would just check in practice range each character.

After exploring and testing in the search for the cause of TFGE errors, there's 1 or more skins in the gadget category of the Heavy build that is problematic. For sure there's one also tied to weapon animation skins.
The symptom occurs intermittently so it's hard to pinpoint the actual cause.

Regarding tfge0000/tfge0003/tfge0008, this method I'm using has prevented anymore of these errors:

For every skin and sight and style section, make sure a skin/sight/style is actually checkmarked and not bugged out with no checkmark. Don't use the Equipment screen, do this through every character screen.

Unclear:

• May or may not need to delete all characters first but I would just to be thorough, someone ping me if this works without starting fresh.
• For Style, I equipped something from every section at least once so that I wouldn't miss any missing checkmarks / bugged out parts (even on sections that don't require anything equipped). Feel free to just eyeball only the missing ones but I wanted to be thorough so I did them all.

Test with practice range first. Once you're able to connect consistently on every character, do some qp, then WT, then Ranked. Don't rack up suspensions for no reason.

Be thorough. This is a tedious fix to apply and you may miss things.

Will keep this updated throughout the week, still have yet to run into another error code. Leave a thumbs up/down whether it worked for you.

I’m posting this to let people know, the bug is still there, making the game unplayable for me.

Here is a list of things I tried, that did not help:

• Any suggestion made by @latent tapir
• Deleted every loadout, checked every single skin/scope on every single item in the game
• Changing in-game settings such as crossplay and server region
• Verified game files, re-installed the game
• Restarted my router, refreshed IP, flushed DNS
• Checked for any Windows/Graphics/other update (there was none)
• Have a friend invite me / be squad leader etc

Additional Info:

• Error codes are TFGE0000 and TFGE0003 mostly
• The bug appeared with the Season 4 Update, I never had any issues before
• At first I was able to play from time to time, since yesterday I cannot connect to any game in any gamemode (even practice range)
• Every other game on my PC works perfectly fine and I have no Internet issues whatsoever
• Most of my buddies do not have this issue for some reason

I sincerely hope, this will get fixed soon!

Let me expand on this and say that not every weapon, gadget, or specialization for every class needs to have their cosmetics clicked as a check mark.

Example: I tried this and it worked out for me. I set up my medium class and made sure every cosmetic had a checkmark (but only what was in my main loadout, so no secondary loadout or guns in the inventory)

Only make sure that your main inventory that you’re using is checkmarked at the bare minimum.

After deleting all my loadouts, and reapplying everything I could remember, its gotta be specifically something that came to be during season 4. No, because I am GENUINELY confused as to what happened. Like in S3, I did get crashed, but that was because I was playing without a graphics card, but even before that I could play the game fine at low settings. UE5 would crash. Once I got my GPU, game ran fine. Now S4 comes along and literally it's been crashing non-stop. Updated my BIOS, updated all my drivers, my PC doesn't overheat, so the problem is not my pc, it is this game. And I know this because I ran Spider-Man at max settings and didn't experience one crash. So, Embark needs to get their shit together honestly. It makes no sense why I can only play one game before the game freezing my entire computer

This isnt a bug, but its bugging me so.... I've contacted support multiple times, waited forever to get my original account back. One day i just wanted to play the finals and loaded her up and boom it forced me to make a new account saying i didnt have an account. well with this new account i was forced to make. i contacted support, told them my issue and waited for a response. woke up to check for a response and found out they deleted the only account i was able to contact them with. like what the heck is happening ? I didn't have a single crash on OB and S01. The crashes started happening near the end of S02. Then got worse in S03 and about 3/4 in to S03, it just stopped for me. Until the last S03 update, when they switched over to UE5.3. I believe there is ZERO testing done before they push an update. It's like "fuck it, we'll 'fix' it later" then later never comes. It pisses me off that they push new skins on a weekly basis, but bugs that were in OB are still present today. It's a year later, OB was a better/more stable and playable game than what we have now. They want our money, and in return we get a broken ass game.

On ps5 every time you interact with something it automatically brings out your main weapon, whereas on pc it doesn’t do that. It gets pretty annoying and seems like an easy fix too

To stay on topic I'll keep it short. It's not about beliefs or anything. It's simple communication between devs and players. Even Respawn has small tweets about ongoing server issues or bugs causing issues and they're not really known to be a strong company in that regard. Embark seems very silent and only makes announcements whenever they drop a patch which leaves room inbetween where we don't know when something is going to be fixed, it's just reassurance.

It does work, but once you get it fixed, it can happen randomly afterwards, so... as good of a fix as it is, its a temporary fix for a permanent problem that should have been fixed.

I tried different weapons and this "reload animation cancel" seems to be like hidden feature or smth, definitly not bug. Ammo counter updates when magazine attached but not when full (not tactical) reload animation played. So if you swap to gadget and back in right timing - you can get little advantage (but it makes sense on just few guns like sr84 and akimbo D's). Try it yourself on practice range, and you'll find where it make more sense (ak, all smg and pistols - usless)

Yea, tbh i use it ALOT also used to use it on overwatch when they did have reload cancle, sure itd not much but really if used well a HUGE advantage
