holing yourself up with a heal pocket with mesh shield is asking to get your shield beamed or shot through a wall, and since you're too busy holding it up you can't help in team fights

Absolutely not it’s invaluable. The enemy team magdumping your shield is them not damaging you and your teammates while they can return fire, heal, steal, etc.

in higher ranks where cleaning fights and team fights are more common its just far more useful to have an entry ability
its wayyy too easy to magdump without being punished, and its hardly any time if it gets lasered, then you just have no shield after
the only use case where i am genuinely bothered by a mesh shield is when someone is stealing, and in that case my heavy just charges to stop it anyway sooo
Gadgets fill that role. And your shield being destroyed means you can now engage while the other team reloads
Charge is worthless on any open point as well, whereas mesh is not situational whatsoever.
how slow do you think the reload speeds are? paired with a lack of movement speed and contribution to the fight you are literally a sitting duck, and the proc animation is long enough that you cant switch between shooting and shielding fast enough for it to TTK faster than someone just beaming you
mesh is very situational wdym? as soon as a corner of it is poking out somewhere you can beam it, if you are too close to someone you get run down on, if someone has slam you are screwed, if someone throws a nade under your feet you cant get away fast enough
slam is so much easier to play around and adapt since its literally just pure damage and disruption that makes whatever team ur team fighting focus you for a second and your meds and/or light can easily team shoot during that time
most cashouts are indoors, and you can bust through a wall to stop a steal
and if youre out in the open its so much easier to beam your mesh shield anyway
Having zero cover gets you melted, and selfish abilities in this game are nowhere near as good as ones that help you keep your teammates alive longer.
magdumping a pocketed shielder just leads to heal overheating and shield breaking, ammo is infinite and reload speeds are fast, you just dont win that fight
then play around cover? why is mesh shield your only cover in this case? it doesnt even provide that much cover to begin with?
its not a selfish ability to get aoe damage, get a pick, get entry space, distract your enemy, stop a steal, proc while using a jump pad to initiate a fight with free damage, idk what you are saying

What good is charge and slam on the edge of Monaco, or the rubble of duck and cover, or on moving platforms, etc.
You get similar value of charge and slam with c4 or rpg while not having to always fight in close quarters or behind cover.
literally only 1 cashout spot during duck and cover is out in the open. and even then you can jump pad off a roof and slam the point for free damage or to stop a steal. on moving platforms you can literally knock people off your platform.
c4/rpg does not have the same value as slam. slam has a much faster cooldown, and has far better destructive capabilities for your objective. not to mention, rpg and c4 close range damages yourself, whereas slam doesnt. its free damage, destruction, and space taken on a fast cooldown

pulling out a weapon that does 0 damage and going to a spot with LOS on the cashout to hit them with goo is less suicidal than using an AOE damage ability through a wall without needing LOS?

this argument works if we were to collectively agree that the other specializations are objectively better, since you are trying to use the opportunity cost of the supposed better specializations as the reason
i feel like half the reason mesh is used commonly is because people arent familiar with ways of countering it, or lack the coordination to do so. in that sense, it is considered "good" but slam holds far more value for high level ranked matches where every fight is just a clean up or an extension of a previous one. mesh just does not hold the same, and often times only serves to help corner your team into a situation they wouldn't be in if they opted for better positioning and more favorable fights rather than trust in playing around the shield in an otherwise shitty spot to fight
Dash, dagger (duh), invis bomb, taser and either a glitch nade or frag nade
It's nice to hit those passthrough backstabs with the dash
But I've seen cloak and even grapple work well with the dagger too
I just prefer dash playstyle personally

I'm a fan of smokes with thermal vision with any range weapon

ive played with plat, some dia, in ranked before(im not a ranked main, but a ranked enjoyer) and been running this comp loadout
Charge/slam-Sledge-Rpg-goo-Dome
This helps nullify platos point about open space survivability, mainly by giving me a cheap mesh shield if i need it, and a choice to see enemy team fights and decide to either engage with chargenslam, throw goo to block LOS and helping my team move through walls/rubble, or goo into charge n slam.
Charge becomes so useful in finishing fights, especially as a melee(and its usefulness 10xs if u have ranged weapons) due to the main way in ranked people try to back out of fights at 1 person or 1 person running away from a engagement. Since i do AOE damage on my slam, i can slow/create restricting fightlanes with goo, and can absorb more damage than the rest of my team, charge becomes invaluable to move and attack with relative impunity
all it does is change heavys wander/aggro range with charge n slam to withen 20 meters of your teamate. mesh still does that, offers a very fast depleting healthpool, and currently DOESNT BLOCK EXSPLOSIVE DAMAGE

Ive been playing throwing knives, and i currently see them being left in the dust+having such a short range comparitivly on the lowest health contestant.
these items feel useless in pistol fights, in melee fights, in suprise fights, and in trying to snipe. as light, manuvarbility is number 1, and these dont have a heavy enough dps or range to use outsde id say 30 meters in the fight,and offer a wacky 2 hand spread, and a huge windup for the non spread. meanwhile, medium and heavy AND light all have weapons that perform better, with much lower downsides to the knives. the only thing that they have for them is no reload, but evn that seems to have false premise to it due to the time it takes to fire each shot.

sledge in ranked/unranked/quickmatch is still a very viable weapon, and recently running a 3 man ranked sledge we got to semi finals

I have to depend on charge n slam, and mesh doesnt do it for me, even when running lewis. The issue with it is how again, the shield doesnt stop exsplosive damage, it slows you down/brings massive levels of attention, and it has a limited pool of health. Most everyone i see in rank trying to use it only uses it sucsessfully with 1 system, and that is doubling the mesh with a dome?! to get a cashout or a chokepoint. If it depends on more health to survive a standard 3v3 fight, its not in the correct level it needs to be at to be feasible in ranked
I agree that it's viable - me playing mostly ranked. though I personally always go with the Goo Gun. it's not always easy and sometimes indeed pretty difficult if you match against a well-coordinated team, but still works out often enough. not saying either it's the best/easiest playstyle, but probably one of the most fun :D
yeah, goo gun sledge is right behind goo flame, and goo flame is a tossup if i can solo it with charge and sledge

ive been watching(in quickcash) something occur when im running sledge. if you have 2 people on your team running sledge, or if your popping off, more sledge users appear, which i have found immensly fun
May i ask what you use to support your claims of how mesh is better than charge?
Could one use and antigrav and the dematerializer to move a cashout up a floor?
It’s not even that I’m making a bold claim, this is a majority opinion and what the best teams use.
Also if you’re running sledge, I’d argue goo gun is a far better specialization than charge.

i didnt say bold, and i hope you realise im not trying to put you in a gotcha moment.
goo is useful, but with goo nades, i can have the temp speed of a dashing light with the ability to lock down LOS into engagements i can handle as a sledge main. Goo gun limits my speed, and speed is what you need for melee
+what is best for 1 person isnt the best for others, nor do strats emerge from only doing what the top teams do. Im happy to say my strat has proved itself viable, and winnable
Goo gun is a zero cooldown way to stop enemies in their tracks which is the same if not better than the speed boost you get from charge.
Plus being able to patch up what you break and the vertical mobility is way better synergy than a weapon and specialization that both break stuff.
no cooldown is nice, but for my usage, it offers less of a benifit than charge does. My nades can close breaches, and my charge allows rotating much faster than i can without. Veritcal mobility is one of the few things i have never had issues with, due to sledge letting me bypass stairs with floor jumps, and so much valutable objects near everywhere on the map that make a sledge to the ceiling near them a easy vertical mobility up.
That, coupled with the immense presure a chargeslam does when you impact from height, and i get something that can instakill light and medium, without using my rpg or sledge. it vastly benifits my gameplay over goo or mesh, both hich offer more defense at cost of visibility and speed. can ya get why i choose charge, especially with sledge?

sledge is insanely situational and the only reason why it is ok is because light still isnt meta and therefor heavies do not have to deal with high movement often

its challenging enough to hit headshots with 6 rounds at 40m on a moving target. the revolvers damage falloff is superrrrr harsh compared to any other gun in the game.

i wanna be the fastest and sharpest shooter in the west with the revolver but how tf am i supposed to out-gun any other gun at 40+ meters. it'd make it much more enjoyable to use if it took 3-4 headshots on a moving target to kill at that range with the revolver
The FCAR is op it'll melt my buddy and I, within seconds I always get out gunned when I go against it

yeah the fcar is very accurate with a fast ttk at range, but it only has 20 rounds in a mag. you could use that info to your advantage pretty often
Fcar does a nice 50 damage per headshot, 3 shot-ing a light and 5 for med and not sure about a heavy yet

Yeah definitely need to work on aiming at the head it seems like the guys in the lobby have no issue with that I won't even be able to spin around before I have 275 damage done to me

Personally I don't touch the revolver, but when I first did hitting shots wasn't the issue just the mag size which given the gun that it is. It's unsurprising that people complain about it 😂
My buddy says just one more bullet would make that gun nice but depending where you hit I've noticed always plays a big part
if your aim is good enough it can be very deadly up close, but at medium-long ranges it should be much better than it currently is. i personally love the revolver but not when the damage dropoff is that harsh. itll steer any high elo player away from using it at any cost. i play a lot of scrims for fun and the revolver is unusable just because of the damage dropoff, otherwise i wouldnt have any complaints with it

Up ur sens then, multipliers of 37%-45% is highly recommended.. by me. Helps keep aim smooth and lookinging around (ads) is fast enough to hit face to face targets [I aim down sight a lot]

the revolver is close to being a decent competitor with other metas but that one issue makes it awful to use in any situation when you're getting shot at at distance by an fcar or akm. if i could 3-4 shot to the head at those ranges then maybe it'd be better, then i could abuse the small mag that the fcar has and take cover in-between my shots. but if a single fcar round can do more damage than my revolver at 40+ meters then theres no use using it

The usual damage for a headshot is 140 no drop off, 2 headshots kills a light.. how bad is the drop off exactly?

I'll have to start finding a good us server to play on, I believe I played qc on them before with decent ping (it made me play with the same level as everyone else so might be a fair fight next time)
does less than 50 dmg to the head at 40+ meters, thats an entire 6 rounds before reload that you need to hit to the head to kill one medium. any other gun can easily kill a medium at 50+ meters in less than one mag (besides shotguns obv)

even a 9mm V9S can kill in 12 rounds to the body at 50+ meters (or 8 headshots), and it has a 1.3 second reload. if a 9mm can outgun my revolver at 50+ meters then theres an obvious issue

I don't remember off the top of my head only at 118 hours of playtime so not crazy high I think 973k over 1600 revives
Looking at the everyday "hood" I don't think many revolvers are in use over a glock like the 9mm

Yes it is! Trying to convince my buddy to get off of light during competitive I only see light useful in bank it to low of healt
in ranked its harder usually, theres 10,15,and 22k cashouts with 4 teams and you lose 30% of your total money when you wipe. with a solid team you can cashout 80-120k per round easily by double stacking cashouts and keeping the lobby wiped
I mainly rock light now, med all the other time when I don't run light, and I never play heavy, to slow paced for me

i get that, but playing heavy if you play it right is like trying to stop an unstoppable force🤣 master movement with the mesh shield out and break players ankles and you're unstoppable
We've tried that once we just couldn't hold out long enough we got wiped in the last 15-20 seconds and it was game over after that

In 121 hours I've yet to find a heavy that can kill me more than 5 times. (Very specific cause a full team of heavies used an rpg on me... repeatedly.) Love this game tho
yeah that happens sometimes when you get 3rd partied randomly. it all comes down to positioning and you need to be quick when wiping teams. otherwise you're wasting time in a fight while a 3rd team comes to wipe you
3 heavy autoshotty rpg c4 take it or leave it. But yeah MMH seems to be working for me
On light I rock the glitch grenade and man does it help out alot, learning that there's and under arm throw makes it so much better too 😂
in season 2 light will be much better. light isnt great in ranked because it lacks any movement gadgets for your team. in season 2 the light will have the gateway grenade to help your team get in/out of fights quickly whichll be super nice
thats a lethal combo but sometimes you need that defib if someone gets a nuke off on your team first

Light rn is my best class, killing wise. Med close second, heavy ain't even on the board
pretty sure the gateway grenades are in a pair, you throw one down before entry and one after to teleport yourself out for a short period of time. or throw it down and throw the other one far to teleport quickly to another position.
movement is essential for your team in most situations
As of rn my med build is zip, bounce pad, defibrillator, runs so nicely (recon sense as the ability)
double movement is super nice to move your team around. but since light only has the glitch grenade as its only form of team support the gateway grenades will help support your team even more with that movement or accessibility to leave/enter fights instantly
Definitely agree, however still not braining on how it will be when used in game. Imma mess with it tmr when the update happens should be exciting

YUP EXACTLY! or leave the first grenade on the cashout when defending and when the enemy uses a dome shield to try and steal it you can throw down the second gateway grenade and teleport inside of their bubble to stop them

Hello everyone,
A French content creator (Nykho: https://www.youtube.com/@Nykho/videos) was invited to a season 2 playtest earlier this week, so I'm sharing a summary of some information with you :
Lights :
New weapon: 93R, 3-shot bursts with 21 bullets (very powerful weapon)
New gadget: Gateway, a teleporter that works by positioning two markers (manually launched as projectiles). Limited to a distance of 70m, all players can use it, and the speed momentum is retained.
The sonar grenade and tracking dart are now part of the Light kit.
Medium :
New weapon: Famas, bursts with 27 bullets, burst comparable to the AK in terms of damage.)
New specialization: Dematerializer, which replaces Recon, now discontinued. It can be used to remove or fill in walls. It has 3 charges.
New gadget: Data Reshaper, replaces all pickable objects close to our field of vision. Each object is transformed into a defined object, from lethal to non-lethal. This includes certain projectiles such as RPG shots. Reload time 15 seconds.
The Defibrilator has been reworked: there is now a delay between the action and the moment when the teamate respawns (a short "charge" before full reappearance, invulnerability in between but clearly visible to all).
Heavy :
New weapon: KS-23 projectile shotgun. Each shot removes almost half a Medium's life.
New gadget: Anti-gravity cube. It reverses gravity with an upward ascent and covers about 2 floors. Control is retained a little, and speed is slowed, but you can climb faster by pressing the jump key.
The C4 now has a single charge.
5v5 mode:
The objective is to advance a moving platform, which makes turns and contours to finally arrive on an edge of the map.
You can only challenge it if you're on it.
Respawns are fast.
No ranked mode yet.
Only available on Monaco and Skyway Stadium for now.
Other significant informations:
New Battlepass: Become a CNS. Similar to the previous Battlepass.
New Career Circuit progression system. Different contracts / missions to obtain different bonus skins and VR points.Organized into several "stages" and 4 circuits: Rookie, Challenger, Pro and Master.
Rework of the Ranked system. No further information other than the fact that there will be 8 placement matches.
The time required for respawn can now be seen on allies' death icons in the form of an ascending pie chart. A sound is also played when an ally dies.
New card event: Retro Invasion 82. Space Invaders appear at the top of the map, advancing in a straight line and firing projectiles (similar to the Alien event).

For me i like akm but my aim absolutely sucks with every weapon and the recoil on fcar is annoying plus in person i always die with f-car with akm i sometimes win sometimes die if in close quarter fight but i have bad aim and cant hit longshots

I think removing recon was 100% warranted and a very good choice for the overall game’s health. Dematerialize is really fun to use so it was a good swap
i agree recon needed to go but this means that the devs will likely do this again and thats not good because it removes parts of the game
I get where you’re coming from and I agree in general, that being said I think if anything warranted removal it was definitely recon
im thinking they could have changed it maybe giving it an increased cooldown and lets you ping the location of all enemies like a sonar instead of giving you wall hacks but only one ping per recon because removing something will just destroy loadouts
I was iffy about it at first too, but it really felt like a better direction the more I thought about it
but they didn't need to remove it they could have just balenced it out
I don't think anything else will be removed, it fits with the hacker theme that the specialization would be replaced with a new hacker one
Yeah I think it really needed a full rework to be viable maybe like a bloodhound scan but in its previous and even nerfed state it made for a pretty unfun gameplay mechanic

That’s fair it’s more the healing beam that’s the issue I had a game I had a 20 to 3 kd and lost in the final round

They play style it requires doesn't mesh well with the objectives in the main cashbox mode. They'll probably do better in 5v5.

If heavy is only getting one C4 charge now, will its damage be buffed significantly? As it stands, its damage is comparable to a light's breach charge. Also I read somewhere else that Light was getting the recon senses perk from medium's class - is that true or is a lot of this still unconfirmed?
Sonar grenades and tracking dart are being moved from medium to light. Recon senses is being pulled from the game completely.

Ah right fair enough. I would've liked to see the recon senses specialization get traded for invisibility on lights though, seeing as that's what gives rise to the more selfish playstyles that make light less viable in competitive

Well that's what I'm saying with recon senses. Give that to light and now its a staple of the class - the same way healing beam is for medium and the shield is for heavy
You can play with a turret on medium or with the charge on heavy but they're generally seen as less useful in competitive (not saying they're useless just not as viable)
i think some people just hated wall hacks even if for a very short period
I never hated recon senses as much as I hated multiple invis lights running around with tasers and shotguns every match 💀

Honestly recon wasn't that bad, people just disliked it on principle.
i would just throw my recon grenade but now it looks like goo or wall hack open then close. run instead of stand and fight
And honestly if I ever saw someone lock-in recon senses instead of a heal beam in competitive, it always felt like it was a more selfish option because A) they often won't communicate that information to the team and B) they could be healing team mates instead
But under the context of a light class - sure it can be used just as selfishly. But compared to the other options it has a greater capacity to help your team

It makes them more of a threat sure - but think of it from your team's perspective. A light is more viable because they can give information to the rest of your team
Then what would meduim niche be healbot or trapper , light has 1v1, info, destruction, and mobility ,heavy just has destruction and crowd control , light would be bust if they had a lil bit of survivability it feel like we are giving them everything
It's all about making them a more useful class, giving players a reason to choose them over medium or heavy in a competitive setting
And not everyone plays rank so what about the casual where everyone plays light and no team work barely what then
Light players are probably the loudest members of the community - I mean take the 3+ C4 nerfs that occurred throughout the last season. Personally I think that they should've replaced the light's invis ability with the recon senses because my problem throughout all of last season was the constant taser and shotgun abuse that I copped. That's my problem though as I'm someone who doesn't play a lot of ranked, but people who ONLY play ranked never have issues with lights because they're just not as strong as the other two options.
I'm sure that playstyle is fun as hell though, which is why they're not gonna remove it. All the recon stuff on medium was like a cherry on top of a really good class. You could use a medium to defend a point with turrets, heal and revive team mates, and give intel to your team. Light though? All of their kit was just designed to kill enemies and provide very little utilitiy

I feel likey light is gonna have hard time in rank regardless unless they have more survivability but if they do give them intel wouldnt it be a good idea to tune the weapons down a bit
I never really used invis on light, just grapple and dash, and tbh s2 is a buff to grapple light with the new gateways. What upset me most about invis was that I could 100% KNOW that there is a light, coming from this direction, coming out of this hallway, and still lose because I can't exactly hit what I can't see
Invis should have more focus on actually sneaking and less mid-combat use
that's why i used to run vanish bomb before they added the sound cue to that
and tbh i couldn't really use recon to deal with them anyway because i just couldn't make out the blurry outlines 7/10 times

yeah i would agree with that, when i can hear a light coming with invis that i wouldn't be able to hear if it was uncloaked that's just kind of disappointing

oh no it's miserable. i haven't gotten more than 5 kills in a game with it. but it's still fun

I do really good at the start of matches, then everyone switches on and it's really hard to get kills
the worst part about the dagger is that when you start the right click, you stop sprinting. so if you are chasing somebody and go to backstab them, you will slow down and they will sprint away while you're stuck in animation
As a tip, I'd say to jump just before you right click because you'll keep that running speed for longer
Ok tip for this is at the start don't use all your energy and focus trying to get kills especially as a light I personally always go for kills as a light but I realized that's why I'm dying, as a light u should mainly be finishing kills (unless u have stun gun + good movement) and as soon as a cash out starts that's when u use your focus
Most people won't play seriously until the middle of the game because that's when it gets serious
Oh I don't have issues with the light generally - it's the class I play when I get fed up with getting rinsed as a heavy player and wanna get some kills
The scoped smg (can't remember the name right now) has given me some of my highest fragging games. I'm trying to prove that you don't have to use the invis, tazer, and shotgun combo to be successful at light 😤
It depends here's how I use light and my build (I would recommend this it's kinda broken)
So help me god if you start with invis and tazer
I run Mp5 (scoped smg), stun gun *not to be anoyying I just like to stun and do crazy movement) dash (for better dodging and easy wrap arounds) and any grenades
well now that sonar and gateway are coming to light i'll likely be running glitch, sonar, and gateway to be ultimate support (i used to run glitch, vanish, and incin)
Only time I'll use stun is if I'm in a closeup place where if I try to run ill die so I stun and beam
No disrespect but if u use invisible your horrible at the game u either use it bc u can't aim or u just know you'll get cooked
i just dislike being stunned so much i don't run it anymore, doesn't really help against something like an fcar or lewis anyway since you just get outdps'd
using combat invis i've seen pretty well to get free shots, but yeah it's just better to have dash

Well, that sucks... One of the things I really enjoy on medium =/
Also, I get that reducing the C4 count will help prevent nukes, but damn... It also heavily nerfs defensive setups like quickly destroying staircases

Light was fine and so was medium. The exchange of intel gadgets is a large blow to medium, esp with the reduction of recon specialization. There is now no counter for invis aside from other lights

Light is a good choice for dart. Reinforces the hit and run and lets light easily get one off picks
honestly I would like for tracking to be buffed. They should make it like motion sensor, and have it ping a certain (small and conditional) radius around the affected individual.
I certainly hope they're not trying to nudge everyone into this gameplay.
Being able to recon and sonar was a great tool
Being able to spot enemies and then also ping them for allies with the nade was a great alternative to just healing...

It's a bit weird that level 7 skins are rare when level 6 skins are epic. Level 7 skins also don't really look on par with level 6. (they look arguably worse than lvl 6)

I understand why c4 was nerfed, but were mines enough of a hot button issue for them to be nerfed when unprimed? The only build I see even utilize that is with the cl-40 on med. Also now that recon sense is gone you cant really use it to preemptively delete lights any more

Medium never had a good destruction tool besides mines and for good reason.
being able to create your own head glitch sightlines when you have the fcar is way too good.

No previously the defib would install revive now you pop a defib and they start an auto revive process that takes three seconds and you don't need to be actively reviving them for it to work it kind of sucks (in my opinion) because they still spawn in at half health
It seems like it’s a big change but it’s a slap on the wrist for how monumentally impactful defib is
I think it would be fine if your teammates respawn at full health for defib but because they dont its kinda meh
So if the opposing team has squad wiped just after the defib will it still allow for. the dead teammate to come back or ?

It’s already too strong right now. It went from 40% to 50% health which was unnecessary.
It’s invaluable at high level play to revive a teammate in the middle of a fight, and that wasn’t changed.
The gateway, does it bounce more than once? And does it have concrete timer that’s known yet?
It was nessisary otherwise it would be useless also the counter to defib is plant a mine at the players death totem

If all defib did was reduce the time it took to hold interact to revive, it’d still be a good thing to run.
I think the Famas could be rly good if people get rly consistent at hitting shots/headshots. Its def more punishing than FCAR and AK but I think you could get some good return on it.
as a Medium main, I would rather it just weren't in the game.

I played for like 10 min this morning. I like using it personally. Its like a mix between the FCAR and revolver if that makes sense. Longer range and benifits from tracking like the FCAR, but is a lot more punishing in a similar way to the revolver.

I get that the version we got makes more sense but I would have also liked it to be multi-directional, so that if we threw it on a wall, the gravity would effect it's surroundings horizontally, and if we threw it on the ceiling the gravity would double and everything would be heavier and move slower

correct me if I'm wrong, but i think the cloak should have charges. it's an ability,it shouldn't be almost a permanent state of the entire class, with infinite swaps before and after killing. dematerializer has 3 charges, and a pretty long cooldown. the ability to be invisible (which now has no counterpick) should work in a similar way. it should be a TACTICAL ELEMENT, NOT A FULL-FLEDGED GAME STYLE. their impunity is especially strong after the patch. you almost can't beat a team of three smalls, it's such an easy win

Feel like I always need 1 bullet to kill with fcar, so I usually go akm. But might just be me.
Why the difference of weapon in regard to team?
its less that the cloak by itself is good, its more how many supporting items light has, that the permutations get very hard to counter. Light cloak stun, with a mp5 or a pistol, even sword, normally means a kill.
if you have a stack you play with the team, so fcar becomes more viable
also fcar is not a great weapon at high ping

The portal definitely needs way more range

ngl, the ks-23 feels very situational, while I get why they made it so it couldnt headshot, you miss one shot and its joever depending on your rival. I think theyll either allow headshots or increase fire rate

What’s the current meta for light I’ve just picked the game back up after a while and wondering whether anything in the new season is op

But you can’t win with it cause you lack any utility at all…
light meta is very subjective, try running whatever weapon you feel works best for you since theyre all just kinda different, the new 5v5 gamemode lets you switch at any time so you can try everything you have there, but for regular cashout missions tasers and disruption nades come in very handy for disrupting cashouts

I get that flamethrower is easy to counter if you play right but at the same time that requires me to not be aggressive and just snipe all game which ruins the fun
Cause I never encounter the flamethrower in the open instead in like buildings where they instantly jump on me and deal half my hp in 2 seconds
And when I win in close range I just die to the burn dmg
no need to snipe, the range of a flamethrower is not far, any automatic weapon will work against them, the issue is inside tight buildings as always with heavies, once you have a point, never stay right next to it unless youre fortifying or trapping it
Why would you try to go close range against a flamethrower?

its the most open area map in the game, if verticality is an issue then you need to keep that in mind

honestly the throwing knives are all about leading your shots
only tip I can give is probably not to use the right mouse click to throw as the wind up is painfully long and youre better off throwing tons of em with the regular throws, hitting both knives deals similar damage anyway

U just have to get time of the dash right cause there is a slight delay when u dash and the direction u go.
So charge up the knife and release when u dash infront of them u can reach their back
yeah i know the dagger tech, i honestly prefer not akiba stepping and turning my mouse because its more consistent, akiba step imo feels better for controller

I’m not sure if people have said this but I think medium should have kept there Sonar Grendade that way every class has a recon based ability
I don't know if someone has mentioned it already, but data reshaper has the following pattern: smoke->goo->flame->gas->propane->smoke (credit to @wheat spindle for providing images to corroborate this)
gravity drop mentioned that in his video, he played the beta so his info dropped a day before season 2
there's probably more tech to figure out though, i know u can do stuff mid air
@spice socket I want the devs to add a bow and arrow for mediums.
A rope for medium that doesn't pull like light but makes u swing and increase ur momentum and wall run with rope.
Add crossbow with explosive bolt that stick to walls and explodes with delay with little damage for light class.
Make the light class dagger have an attack with 100damage when using secondary attack falling from a height but have the knife come off from enemy's back after 0.85 sec so enemy team can get u and it's not op.
It's needed as the sword does consistent high damage from any angle.
Remove light invis ability and add wall running,proper double jumps and wall jumping.
for the new medium spec, ow do I refill a wall when I use my final iuse

Actually bow takes time to load so by the time u load the bow light with low health will die and medium can tank a little.
