waters rise up and cover lower areas, forcing players to come together. the water will sometimes rise and fall slightly.
the water does not kill immediately, it gives you five seconds to swim towards land.

Or water doesn't kill on its own, but slows you down so you're as good as dead if an enemy finds you, otherwise classes and builds which aren't suited for rooftop traversal will struggle

Make a map like bravo Stadium from rainbow six siege for team death match or you can use it for a cash out map but it would have to be a lot bigger and not have as many walls and corners. You can make them at 30% inside and 70% outside. Make it to the cash outs are inside the buildings and make it so all the walls are destructible. Place it on like the second floor so people can destroy it under it.

We need this to balance out the large open areas of Vegas and Horizon.
A close quarters map with small passageways and tight research buildings so the shotguns (with a nerfed Heavy SA1216 to not ruin the map) and melees have a map they are favored on.

Screw it, base the map on Mystery Flesh Pit so it has a super unique theme.

Horizon is way to colorful, cant see certain teams outlines in the color sectors and to much verticality.

A close quarters map doesn’t fix a wide open map. Each map should be balanced to allow a good mix for every playstyle.

I don't think maps have to have that limitation in design. Ones that favor longer engagements and other ones that favor close quarters gives you reason to use a different loadout. Or at least make you want to run different gadgets.

You should be able to play what you want within reason on any map. Horizon is the worst for variety and really limits what you can run.

An entire class is focused around short range damage which means they suck on the map but are still required for their shields which makes playing feel like a chore.

When I play games, I always go in knowing that not everything will be perfect. It's good to have diverse maps the make people like certain maps. If you try to make everyone happy then you aren't unique enough to be played.

Like how I LOVE skyway stadium, but I play light and I can fly around.

I never said I disliked Skyway Stadium in any way. I only am referring to the new map. I like every map in the game besides sys$horizon. After over 20 games on it, It just isn't my cup of tea. I was responding to the post about what people disliked about the map. Some people dislike how there are so many long straight wide streets that give advantage to certain weapons. I just don't like the aesthetics of the map, feels like a vaporwave wallpaper to me.

Some very nice ideas but a couple will not work I think I can be wrong.
1: Airship, Airport, Cruise ship seem a bit to small and very unpractical. If you see what maps in finals need it is small houses not 1,2,3 big buildings. (that is why people don't like Vegas).
2: Egypt Pyramids, Paris Eiffel, Rome Colosseum. These can work but the monument will need to be scaled a lot down or not included in map but only as a view in distance.
3: Forrest, Dragon lair, Grand canyon are great ideas but don't think we will seen soon because the maps are now focused on building not nature. (Hope one will come).

But some have potential as well: Moon, Theme Park, Venice, Tokyo and a Port with ships could really in and be a very nice.

Well you’re… an architect, someone who’s trained in that field and can grow to appreciate all kinds of buildings, and you probably already had a stronger interest than others for it. But, for the untrained eye of an ordinary person, the typical building in Tokyo all look bland and it’s much harder to see the beauty of them than say, southern French villas which have much more prominent and distinct features that would catch anybody’s eyes easily

Bro I’m literally Japanese and have lived in Tokyo for more than a decade I can tell you that most people wouldn’t care about the small differences and materials and size lol. If you compare the Tokyo skyline to the skyline in Korea or China, aside from the major landmarks like Tokyo tower or Shanghai tower, all the building look the same and I wouldn’t be able to tell which country is which. For the ordinary eye, they all look more or less the same and lack originality. All look like typical skyscrapers you can find in this region to me🤷

That's just because there are way MORE buildings in places like Tokyo. Tokyo population is 14 million, New York population is only 8 million. Of course some building styles on a street level will seem repetitive. In the US we have less "individual homes" in big cities because it's all developers building large apartment buildings. The majority of "homes" are in neighborhoods/suburbs outside of the cities

Oh cities in the United States absolutely have unique skylines! That wasn't my point. My point is that it isn't easy to tell a lot of US cities apart by just the architecture. A lot of US cities have similar overall "styles" and most people couldn't tell the difference between Austin downtown and Dallas downtown if you dropped them in one and told them to figure it out based on the buildings

For a layperson, sure, but I can’t imagine it’d be any different for an ignorant Japanese person in Japan. I’d say that the suburban wastelands in the USA are pretty repetitive, but I don’t think that’s what you were referring to

For sure. The whole thing was about Tokyo having unique architecture, which it does. And the US, i would argue, doesn't have cities that stand out as much when compared to each other. 🤷‍♀️

And i did mention the "going numb to the architecture bit" which I think is what you meant by "an ignorant person in Japan." The layperson may get used to all the buildings and not notice them but from the outside looking in it is objectively a very unique city

i really started to hate SYSHOR in ranked because it is much harder to play with Light

like all walls are clean and there is not much stuff to hide

on some Skyway stadium there are so much more places to play with

i hope that they prepare some new cool looking map for a next season

It's got more corners and is a more vertical map with multiple floors, if you were a dash light you can easily ditch someone in the labyrinth of offices

whenever i match on a different map next time it gets much easier by gameplay and kda/objective metrics

i still kinda love this map but it is too open-spaced

breach charges are great though. There are usually 1-3 floors below the cashout so i can always cancel enemy cashout cast
