I hadn't considered that, but it seems like a really cool possibility honestly. Me personally, I'd just prefer if they added entire new maps instead of updating existing maps. But I think they could definitely do something like what you're describing for lore purposes.

I think there'd be a problem with updating existing maps too much though, because it would compromise players' map knowledge. In this game I feel like map knowledge is really useful and it might mess players up if they change around features on maps.

suggestion: broken pipes event

During this event, a bunch of pipes beneath the map rupture. This causes water to burst out of the ground, in random places that are not covered by big buildings. They target areas near players, and make a rumbling sound before exploding.
The initial blast deals a lot of damage and can destroy some terrain. It keeps spewing until the event is over, and they act as jump-pads. Being near it disorients you with water splattering and the noise of the pressure.

personally I'd love to see more map elements that have unique interactions with the world around them, like the cannons, or the cranes. I remember playing "NSF Most Wanted" as a kid and being able to destroy certain landmarks during cop chases, which would have impacts on the chase, like a doughnut shop with a giant doughnut you could knock over that'd crush other cars as it rolled away.
If I could design a map, I'd want a venice-style town, where there's waterways through the map, and maybe there are interactables that can redirect water flow, revealing new paths, flooding others, ect. give it lots of compact multi-floor homes and shops close to the waterways, with maybe a small mall just past those further away. that way you get open spaces with the claustrophobia.

that or maybe a factory that produces GOO. lots of valves and pumps to suddenly put out big quantities of the stuff in set spots, and maybe a big, operable goo cannon akin to the crane controls that moves around the ceiling area like a claw machine (tied to an x and y axis)

IMO it just feels off. like the majority of the fighting is either in wide open areas or long hallways, and the only tight spaces are full of super fragile cover (The slot machines) or the hotel rooms where everyone just drops the objectives the the bottom floor, and it's more long halls again.
the windows on most of the buildings feel too far apart, vertically speaking, so trying to climb/drop a floor is a hassle, and the archway thing over the whole center lane of the map just feels like it gets in the way, both for combat and traversal. the giant rooms in each building have too few doors, and it alway feels like you're taking the long way around even when there's no other route without explosives

Tbf, that point is accessible by 3 avenues, the main walk way, the small bridge and the crane. 2 of which are destructible. They require a lot of resources to break which makes yiu vulnerable to a push when setting up. I think being rewarded with high defense for a good set up is fine. Issue cones when a second cashout spot spawns there again and everything has already been set up for them

The physics of a map like this would be horrifying. One grenade blast or rocket launcher shot and the explosion drops every sand castle within a 5m distance. At this point you might as well have a flat map, no obstacles, just sand only.

I'm not being anal. Just realistic. The one thing that is missing that would be very difficult to implement based on the current stadium structure is.. the ocean. Is it endless, or does it look like a lake with a barrier? Can you swim in it? Does this allow for snipers to hide and shoot from. A beach is a lot more complicated than a walled garden.

What about a construction zone map that is purely the construction buildings. What can make this map unique is its interaction in it so many cranes and also natural traps like an unstable /unfinished building colum that can destroy or collapse an under construction building. Simaler to levolutions from bf4

What about a nature based map where the destruction is reworked so since there’s less buildings maybe terrain deformation like shooting a cliff would cause a crater to form and also a few rock debris fall and can deal damage. So you and your team can cause a landslide

Make it a mega city ship like that planned Freedom Ship. Basically a cargo ship with small airport and community residential area all inside a mega sized ship.
Would certainly have interesting variants.
Storm variant with a hurricane, pirates with other ships boarding and the main ship damaged, cargo with an extra large cargo haul.
