You need to realize that this problem is everywhere expect Asia server... The game lost 95% of its players due to cheaters and very unbalanced gameplay mechanics that cheaters benefit from and even if they get banned, they just contact Embark support and get unbanned... Game has peak 25 to 30K players and its mostly around night time as you mentioned. Game is dead, not as dead as Paladins but its going there fast...

The issue is that the population is so small that a few* people switching to another server to beat queue times is enough to cascade the entire server population to do the same*. A community discord started a "Queue OCE Initive" that's getting players to all queue the same time yesterday to get the engine started which was worked well yesterday but today not a single person I know has managed to get an OCE game today.

Honestly I feel the community initive run yesterday is proof that communities keep this game allive. One single event asking everyone to queue at the same time got us 4 hours of manageable queues. Bring private matches into the game and you open the door for community run tournaments, have teams, run scrims. With that you'll get streaming viewership which increases the games popularity

@wise pewter FWIW, i think biggest issue is lack of visibility on wait time. If it has no message about "estimated wait time" you assume it is infinite and don't queue. A "number of players in queue" counter instead of "estimated wait time" counter may do better. Also think there is a valid argument to be made that for OCE it is better to have the wider rank dispersion given smaller community... Just my 2 cents.

I don't think it's broken, but I see some of you suggesting that the patch limited the player pool. We've taken notes on this and will keep checking in on it, but note that it's the weekend so we'll need to wait for more info
The more folks queue in OCE instead of moving to other servers the easier it will be to find the match, but totally understand if you prefer to play Asia or other servers right now

I can play and rank up in asia but the delay on all of my actions is super noticeable and sometimes my bullets will just not connect despite me being right on target. Might be because I get 80ms queuing OCE servers so it compounds to be even worse. Yes I'm on PC and no, i also can't find an OCE match

I have trouble all the time on the console. When I'm the PC. I'll find games in Asia pretty quick. Yeah I have a few games when I rubber band.
Other then the little lag here and there. It's playable on my end on the PC. On the console only wick match for OCE and if I want to play ranked. I can play in north America. That's laggy as.

That's a great solution but that will just push us on to Asia servers unless everyone else on OCE does it aswell. If that's the solution, then embark needs to make an announcement to get everyone behind it

Ofcourse it'll improve queue times but that's simpily because it will chuck us directly on asia servers when it can't find a game. It only solves the issue if you get the majority of OCE players to do so also, which requires embark to make an announcement

It's just oce ranked that's not popping in OCE, since last patch when they tried to fix the xbox ranked issue seems they broke it. There was Korean/Japanese players coming to OCE ranked because the amount of cheaters on the Asia servers. Combined pc/xbox/ps5 surely there is more the 48 players currently quing

There is 100% lag on Asian severs for oce players, you can play them but there is bullet reg issues all the time. There is also a lot of cheaters

Update qued 20min didnt find a game, Quing as a 3 so should eleimnate to possibility of just no combinations quing, one of the lads did point out that the old glitch where in settings it will be set to automatic but wont be synced with the red in game screen.

Queuing different continents than the one you reside in, by definition, increases lag. What are you talking about

There is also multiple servers you could connect to when you que Asia not just the same one, there isn't a in game ping counter when you're in game but if you have exit lag booted it tells you what server you're connected to and your ping.... The server can also change between rounds in a tournament believe it or not...

there's a difference between higher latency and latency variation though. Maybe no variation yeah but the average is still higher and that can cause unintended behaviour nonetheless. Good that your experience has been okay though

All I can say is that if there is lag I am not noticing it, only time I think its been noticable is with snipers and even then it was hardly there at all if you are with optus or telstra that would be your issue, Aussie Broadband has been great

It is 8pm on a saturaday night in Aus. It takes me less than 20 seconds to find an unranked cash out game. It takes 8+ minutes to find a ranked game.
It is not the population of the OCE servers causing the issue. It is the fact their servers are failing in 2024.

We have had a massive standing for OCE in every BETA and Alpha they have had.
They tried OCE servers in the last BETA, which failed miraculously.
Servers for OCE are finally working, but it is never the end for problems with our servers.
