I measure d the breach drill time between flash and breach at 470ms, but I only measured at 50fps, so it might be 450ms

I mean, basically just need to do a bunch of samples to get a decently correct answer, but it's helpful if you can push more fps because it decreasees error/makes it more accurate iwth less attempts

I remembered my password (haha lol thats me) to my wiki account so I updated the wikipedia links in every weapon's trivia section that used the normal link structure [very long and ugly wikipedia link to topic word] to now use the the wikipedia reference structure built into the site, [[Wikipedia:topic|word]]. it took me 2 hours, I did not enjoy a single second of it, and the only difference it makes is that it takes away the little box and arrow symbol that tells you the link takes you off site, but hey, site parity or something amirite
this still needs to be done for the list of gun origins page, but I'm sure as hell not going to be the one doing it
I guess I also added more trivia for the m26 matter and shak50 pages too, so autists the world around can enjoy a little bit more of that juicy gun nerd knowledge
personally I learned a lot. I thought the shak fired two rounds at once just because some embark dev decided it would be funny on a whim, but as it turns out the 12.7x55 caliber the shak12 chambers does have a cartridge variant that shoots two bullets at once. it's stupid and nobody uses it, but it exists in reality in a greater capacity than I gave it credit for before now

oh I didn't etest the sledge secondary so that's only the primary

the artifacts make it easy to tell when its an interpolated frame, and knowing it's an interpolated frame does increase the accuracy of measurement
it decreases the error because before the error is obs framerate/2 + game framerate/2
wiht framegen it's just obs framerate/2
those formulas for error might be wrong? but the idea is correct
seeing an artifacted frame, tells me that this frame is the minimum error
and then seeing the real frame, tells me that's the maximum error
artifacting is highly visible on the dagger

taking mesurements of individual segmenets of the animation, and then combinging their numbres and comparing to measurements of whole repeated chunks
that is an unohly excel formula
sword is 2.5m primary attack, swing animation is 0.22 and reload/backswing is 0.4ish
cyclic rate of 0.62ish

Right now some cosmetics have two season attributes
- SeasonEarned = when the item was earned
- Season = when the item was added
For example, a S1 ranked reward has SeasonEarned=1 and Season=2, because it wasn't actually given to players until S2.
But maybe this is confusing. We could have Season = when the item was introduced and not specify when it was technically added. So a S1 ranked reward would have SeasonEarned=1 and Season=1.
Any opinions?
And it's easy to have a separate SeasonAdded attribute that can be used if needed

This also means the search form is more intuitive as people expect "introduced = S1" to show S1 ranked rewards. Instead of having to switch between added / earned.
InfoGridCards has been updated. For |image1–|image5, you must now pass only the file name, not full [[File:...]] wikitext. If you want the image to link to a page, you can do |page1-|page5 (e.g. |page1=OSPUZE)
This change was made because images were normally served at full res when no size param was set (which was basically every single one). This way images are now thumbnailed to a default width of 500px, reducing file sizes and improves image load times (for non-cached images) on pages that used IGC.
You can manually set a different size by using |imagesize1-|imagesize5 (e.g. |imagesize1 = 300px)

Yeah, the Remington 1900 doesn't have a Wikipedia page because it's really just a generic double barrel shotgun with no notable features. Honestly the only indicator that is what the SH1900 is based on is just the name, it could otherwise be basically any other shotgun or no specific model.
As for the V9s, I'll go ahead and swap that out for the Wikipedia link to the Alien real quick
Frankly I'm on the fence about whether the SH1900 should even have a link, considering the one it has now gives barely any information, and is more or less a stand-in for a product page on Remington's site that would probably have a price on it if the gun wasn't discontinued in 1910
And linking to product pages is no Bueno, which is why the ARN's page doesn't have a link, because the only sites with info on the BRN-180 are product pages
The only actual articles on the thing are opinion pieces and reviews, which are also no bueno

haven't been here in a while but wanted to say the wiki is looking awesome. you guys have improved it a lot 
while updating the fcar's ttk table, I noticed the headshot damage was left as it was before at 33, which is wrong, but a direct 1.5x increase from 23 is 34.5. I don't know how The Finals handles fractional damage numbers from critical hit modifiers though, so does the game round up to 35, down to 34, or deal accurate fractional damage that just doesn't show up on the hud?
this is very important and will affect the accuracy of the time to kill chart. this is the difference between a heavy dying to either 10 headshots or 11
I ended up going with 35 figure for now, if only out of pity for this fcar "buff" that practically only slowed its time to kill in every situation except against medium on bodyshots and maybe heavy on headshots if it rounds up to 35 damage
it's 34.5, just tested it in a private match, shot person in head twice with FCAR, did 69 damage.
Roger Roger, so the fcar straight up only performs any better than before against a medium on bodyshots

technically speaking it's possible to automatically calculate damage profile table based on rpm, damage and headshot multiplier 
That's what I do, and as far as I'm aware, it's the only way to get a perfectly accurate time to kill. You take the rpm of a weapon, and divide it by 60, then you take the shots needed to kill a given class (so health divided by damage rounded to the larger whole number), subtract 1 (because the first shot is instant and doesn't count towards the total) and divide it by the first number
while making a formula for burst weapons i used 93r values and thought i was going crazy

I feel like using an averages to get one rpm number instead of 2 for burst weapons might negatively impact the accuracy of its ttk calculations.
As far as I can tell, 210 is meant to represent the rpm during pauses, so between the last shot of one burst to the first shot of the next
It sounds too fast on a metronome because the burst itself is removed, which is why I assume it's counting from the last shot rather than begween trigger pulls
But I'm just speculating
I feel like the easiest solution really would be to not count the pauses as part of the rpm and just count them as static delays between trigger pulls.
So instead of 210 rpm, it would just be expressed as a delay of .29 seconds. That way the rpm of the burst itself (presumably 1000) would be calculated per ttk and then .29 seconds would be added between every burst to get a final time to kill stat

Especially when they give us a single clean number for the rate of fire for a burst fire weapon, where we frankly have no idea what exactly it means or is derived from because accurately describing the rof of a burst weapon requires at least 2 values
So I'm wrong about this and the real answer for what 210 really refers to is we have no idea

Image preview should also work with this feature btw but there's some Page Forms JS hook not firing. You can actually make it work by re-running the JS in the console after page load. Need to look into a permanent fix.

ah, I see. the rpm number is wrong, but whoever changed the stats before me reverted it to embarks number, which is higher than it's supposed to be. I'll be fixing that as soon as I can
after some testing, the BFR's rate of fire appears not to have changed at all. Repeaters rof did change, embark's number was wrong (as usual), and its wiki page is correct now

So nullifier, hit an enemy and then kill them after the null, results in 150 xp

We're selective in what we ask Embark for since it takes a while and specifically for gameplay things they tend to be a little sheepish about sharing.
If there's some inconsistency with projectile speed it's probably because it changed at some point and we didn't catch it or whoever calculated it slipped up. 
maybe I've been spoiled or something by older software standards where people were much more open or able to just look inside at how games worked innately but the finals is just so restrictive in comparison to the last shooter I mained which was TF2 where you had a substantial amount of the same control as devs by booting up your own offline server.
like even for other games I can still at least say I know there are private server versions but for this game there's genuinely nothing. It's a total black box.
Most(?) of the game is ran on a server unfortunately. Doubt it would run on anything right now if they were doing the destruction locally.
that is true I suppose. This game does a lot more serverside than most.
Movement is also serverside so you don't have weird desync between the destruction and players, and then that ties into hit-reg and projectiles which are both probably also server-side 
well to be fair if it was hosted on a private server it would probably run better regardless because embark seems to have rented IBMs from like pre y2k to do all the maths
They definitely need to do a little bit of work on the servers for S10.

it very much does, at least the final slam does. i don't know how it scales, but I do know that a slam from high enough, for example the high rise on skyway stadium, can deal enough damage to instakill a heavy. I've seen values as high as 400 some damage from just the slam, and I'm fairly certain there is no discrete cap

Meta-wise, people tend to say Repeater. In actuality, it's the gun you perform the best with and what you want to play most.
My personal 3-gun rotation with Medium is FCAR, P90, and Cerb 12A.
FCAR as "go-to", P90 if there is a lot of medium/heavies (I play Point Break only) for severe poking, and Cerb in a "half the enemy team is Lights, we're on Monaco, or both."

ape squad's ttks are updated and mostly good, but they're incorrect for some specific manually operated weapons (CB-01 Repeater, BFR Titian, KS-23, and Model 1887 as far as I'm aware but their could be others) because the RPM values they use are the ones provided by embark in patch notes even though those values have been proven wrong by community testing repeatedly
embark's values for these weapons are generally anywhere between 5-10 rpm faster than real tested values (which is a huge difference for 50-80rpm slow firing weapons), so ape squad's charts will say those weapons kill substantially faster than they actually do. the wiki uses the community tested values though, so our ttk charts are, if not completely perfect, much more accurate than theirs
my personal guess as to why embark's numbers on those specific weapons are reliably wrong but not others is because they use a weird logic system to control bolt/pump/lever action weapons in code and then reverse engineer that math into an rpm number to put in the patch notes, while other weapons just follow an easy simple rpm stat that can be directly copied from code
and I guess they just don't do any testing to make sure the number that they're giving us in the patch notes is an accurate representation of how fast the weapon fires

regarding these changes, I don't think we should replace headings with tabbers in places that headings make sense. tabbers are usually for categorizing content, not structuring it.
this doc also has the same issues using embark's rpm values as ape squad's site. apart from that, both resources are fully up to date
though I would generally trend toward's ape squad's site because of its interactive falloff graph and generally more readable presentation
though the doc is better if you need all the information visible at once without needing to click around a bunch
and for BFR, KS, model, and Repeater specifically, just use the wiki

I believe the fire rate of the CL-40 was changed this season. It's now around 70 (51/60ths of a second between shots). Also, KS-23 has the wrong fire rate value? From my testing the fire rate is closer to 79 RPM (45/60 - 46/60) instead of 73.

They're based off of aura. But fr though If I had to guess id say it's simply objective related stuff
it's the same way world tour points are determined. you gain a certain amount when you win, and a certain amount when you lose. I believe point break, tdm, and powershift are 4 for a win and 1 for a loss
quick cash is 2 for third, 4 for second, and 6 for first
and cashout is 2 for getting knocked from first round, 6 for getting knocked from second round, then 14 for losing final round and 25 for winning final round
you also get the same wt points in ranked as in cashout, but you gain or lose ranked points on top of that
I imagine all of the wt points you get from ranked show up on the cashout leaderboard, since they definitely don't show on the ranked leaderboard

What are the graphics settings locked to on Xbox Series X? I want to match the graphics of that (bc it looks great) on my pc which would get higher fps
I don't think graphics on console can really be compared 1:1 to settings on pc. there's a lot of very specific fine tuning and optimization that goes into a build of the game that will always be played on the exact same hardware configuration versus the range of player accessible settings available for a build of the game that will be played over many different hardware configs.
the closest settings you can get to may also perform worse than you may expect on pc, as the predictability of a console environment gives developers leeway to do tricks that squeeze the absolute highest performance for the best visuals they can from one specific machine, but could break things if introduced to a more diverse hardware environment
ultimately I wouldn't worry about trying to match your experience on console and rather just play around with your settings until you get a performance to visuals ratio you're satisfied with. depending on your rig, you may be able to make the game look far better than it did on console without your fps suffering

btw 93R burst delay determined by zafferman is 0,284s; not 0,275s as stated in the wiki page
im pretty sure it was 0,275s until they made the change from 220 RPM to 210 RPM, i think the "RPM" changes embark makes is burst delay, not actual cycle rate

At some point, I will be retesting all of the guns, and revamping my weapon spreadsheet to be a single source of truth for the existing TTK values, reload times, etc. per weapon (except for melee weapons). Can include links to their frame data and reference footage as well.
In fact, I'm seeking to have its data hosted entirely on its own wiki page, to be referenced by all weapon articles, if anyone feels that it's appropriate (including the method by which all values are derived, for standardization purposes).
Like a sort of "Community Weapon Testing" page.

does anyone know the best/most consistent way to test explosive dmg xp values?
trying to figure out the xp values of breach charge
theoretical, since i've never done it:
- have a contract for dealing arena damage
- explode breach charge at some wall in TDM or some other quick mode
- see how much damage it dealt in the contract (i think you can check it in tab if you track it)
- switch breach or don't use it till the end of the match
- complete the match
- see how much xp breach gained
- calculate multiplier by finding X in
XP Reward = X * Arena Damage - repeat a couple of times to pinpoint the exact multiplier value
maybe there's an easier method ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah i tested by using 1 breach and knowing each wall section is 1000
But the results were inconsistent because obviously splash dmg but it seems like xp gained is 0.1x structure dmg
I have all my contracts done so i might have to wait for another day
C4 has 0.008 from someone's testing so i would imagine breach charge should not be very far in terms on numbers

Their values make no sense lol, even pyro is like 20x dmg dealt vs most other things being 1x
yeah c4 probably has smaller multiplier 
i've been using it since S7 and i'm still on level 6
and don't get me started on data reshaper 
But c4 also tends to deal more dmg to players where iirc is a 1x, breach charge rarely ever gets dmg on players and is 2.5x
But you probably will see way more xp from c4 player dmg than breach, some values like this have logic
I think the c4 shoulda been 0.08 rather than 0.008 if those values are true
Or like vortex you straight up get the fastest xp by placing it and picking up then replacing it over and over again
they deffo need to revisit xp values because i genuinely don't think they have any guidelines for how they assign them
and whoever does just goes of the vibe

Imo pyro nade xp gain should be more standard the game released with lvl 6 as cap were at lvl 14 and the xp needed from 1 to 6 is like a 10th needed from 1 to 14
meanwhile in other cases doesn't reward enough people who are committed to some other gadgets
plus the fact that xp for some gadgets are different and not consistent (and embark secretly changing it as we saw with the level 10 or 11 motion sensor is not helping XD)
